Tesla, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures, leases, and sells electric vehicles, and energy generation and storage systems in the United States, China, and internationally. The company operates in two segments, Automotive, and Energy Generation and Storage. The Automotive segment offers electric vehicles, as well as sells automotive regulatory credits; and non-warranty after-sales vehicle, used vehicles, body shop and parts, supercharging, retail merchandise, and vehicle insurance services. This segment also provides sedans and sport utility vehicles through direct and used vehicle sales, a network of Tesla Superchargers, and in-app upgrades; purchase financing and leasing services; services for electric vehicles through its company-owned service locations and Tesla mobile service technicians; and vehicle limited warranties and extended service plans. The Energy Generation and Storage segment engages in the design, manufacture, installation, sale, and leasing of solar energy generation and energy storage products, and related services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers and utilities through its website, stores, and galleries, as well as through a network of channel partners; and provision of service and repairs to its energy product customers, including under warranty, as well as various financing options to its solar customers. The company was formerly known as Tesla Motors, Inc. and changed its name to Tesla, Inc. in February 2017. Tesla, Inc. was incorporated in 2003 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas.

1. Amazon
Amazon has a strong presence in three big industries. It operates the largest e-commerce marketplace in North America, Western Europe, and the Middle East. It is the third largest ad tech company in the world. And Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the largest cloud services provider as measured by infrastructure and platform services spending.
Leadership in cloud computing is particularly important because it means AWS is ideally positioned to benefit as demand for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure increases. CEO Andy Jassy recently told analysts, "AWS is where the preponderance of companies' data and workloads reside, and part of why most companies want to run AI on AWS."
AWS has doubled down on the opportunity by developing custom AI accelerators for training and inference, which provide customers with an alternative to Nvidia GPUs. The company has also positioned itself as the primary cloud provider for Anthropic, an AI startup valued at $350 billion. Finally, AWS has introduced new cloud services such as Bedrock for generative AI application development.
Elsewhere, Amazon is using AI to make its retail business more efficient. It has designed more than 1,000 generative AI applications to improve inventory placement, demand forecasting, last-mile delivery, and customer service. It has also developed an AI model that lets robots navigate warehouses faster, and it's designing another model that will let human workers engage robots in natural language.
Wall Street expects Amazon's earnings to increase at 18% annually over the next three years. That makes the current valuation of 35 times earnings look relatively reasonable, especially because the company beat the consensus earnings estimate by an average of 25% over the past eight quarters. I agree with Jim Cramer. Patient investors should feel comfortable buying a position in Amazon today.
2. Uber Technologies
Uber operates not only the largest ride-sharing platform in the world, but also one of the largest food delivery platforms. Integrating those services into a common mobile app lets Uber efficiently acquire new customers by cross-promoting its mobility services to delivery users and its delivery services to mobility users.
While not a traditional AI stock, Uber uses machine learning to efficiently match and route drivers, provide customer support, and personalize advertising. In addition, leadership in ride-sharing makes Uber the perfect partner for autonomous vehicle (AV) companies that want to scale a robotaxi businesses.
Uber already works with 20 AV companies. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi says, "Uber can deliver the lowest operational costs for our AV partners because we are leaps and bounds ahead on every aspect of the go-to-market capabilities that are critical for commercialization." Some of the most consequential partnerships are:
Alphabet's Waymo offers robotaxi rides through Uber in Phoenix; Austin, Texas;, and Atlanta.
Avride offers robotaxi rides through Uber in Dallas.
WeRide offers robotaxi rides through Uber in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai) and Saudi Arabia (Riyadh). The companies plan to add about 15 more cities in the next five years.
Nvidia provides hardware, sensors, and software through its Hyperion platform that Uber partners, including Stellantis, use to build AVs. Uber aims to deploy 100,000 robotaxis within a few years.
Straits Research estimates that the ride-sharing market will grow at 21% annually through 2033, and Grand View Research estimates the robotaxi market will grow at 99% annually over the same period. Uber should be a major beneficiary in both cases. Morgan Stanley analysts think the company will account for 22% of U.S. robotaxi trips by 2032, which would put it in third place behind Waymo and Tesla.
Wall Street expects Uber's earnings to increase at 26% annually over the next three years. That makes the current valuation of 10 times earnings look cheap, especially when Uber beat the consensus earnings estimate in six of the past eight quarters. Investors with a time horizon of at least three years should buy a position today.

Jim Cramer Says Buy 2 AI Stocks Up 190% and 230% Since Early 2023

SpaceX, the hottest and most highly valued private company, is expected to go public this year in what could be the largest IPO in history. According to the Financial Times, the company is planning to raise as much as $50 billion, targeting a valuation of about $1.5 trillion.
Why Everyone Wants a Slice of SpaceX
Elon Musk founded SpaceX in May 2002, before becoming involved with Tesla. The company now has a de facto monopoly on rocket launches, and its satellite internet division, Starlink, is reportedly a cash cow. According to Musk, SpaceX has been cash-flow positive for many years.
Like many other high-profile startups, SpaceX chose to remain private as institutional investors continued to pour money into the firm. Now, Musk’s ambition to build data centers in space is helping drive the company’s IPO plans.
SpaceX is not the only company pursuing solar-powered orbital data centers. Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin is also in the race, and Google is working on a space data center project called Project Suncatcher.
Building data centers in space will require hundreds of billions of dollars. Companies will need to keep chips cool, protect them from radiation, and transmit data back to Earth with minimal latency.
Because this combines two of the hottest themes, AI and space, there is significant investor interest in SpaceX.
Since SpaceX shares do not trade on a stock exchange, investing is not easy unless you are a large private equity investor, a venture capitalist, or an employee. Because retail investors cannot purchase shares directly, they are exploring other options and piling into funds that hold SpaceX.
Baron ETFs and Mutual Funds
Billionaire investor Ron Baron has been a strong supporter of Elon Musk for a long time. Ron has consistently purchased SpaceX shares annually since 2017 on behalf of his mutual funds and other accounts, according to his letter dated July 16, 2024.
The Baron First Principles ETF currently has about 16% exposure to SpaceX. The fund, which made its debut last month, has quickly seen its assets grow to $124 million.
Baron Partners Fund has 29% of its total assets in SpaceX, while Baron Focused Growth Fund holds 19% of its net assets in the company as of December 31, 2025. These funds have significantly outperformed their respective benchmarks since inception.
The SEC places a 15% limit on open-ended funds holding illiquid investments. It defines an investment as illiquid if it cannot be sold within seven days without significantly impacting its market value. Baron funds no longer treat SpaceX as an illiquid security due to its active secondary market, as highlighted by Bloomberg.
The Entrepreneur Private-Public Crossover ETF
XOVR is the first ETF to hold a private company. The fund changed its ticker and strategy in August 2024 but remains focused on entrepreneurial companies.
The fund added SpaceX through a special-purpose vehicle (SPV) last year and has seen its assets grow significantly since then. As the WSJ pointed out, such SPVs may charge fees as high as 25% of any gains, and it is unclear how these fees will impact the value of its SpaceX position.
Additionally, there is little clarity on how the ETF will determine a fair value for its SpaceX position, as required by the SEC.
The fund’s assets have ballooned to over $1.6 billion as investors piled in to get exposure to SpaceX. NVIDIA and Meta Platforms are the other top holdings in the fund. The ETF has significantly underperformed the S&P 500 over the past year.

The picture emerging from the Q4 earnings season is one of a steadily improving earnings outlook that is starting to show up in a favorable estimates revisions trend, particularly for some of the economically sensitive sectors like Basic Materials, Autos, Construction, and others. We should note here that the revisions trend has been consistently positive for the Tech sector for the last many quarters.
Total earnings for the 106 S&P 500 members that have reported Q4 results are up +14.9% from the same period last year on +7.9% higher revenues, with 76.4% beating EPS estimates and 63.2% beating revenue estimates.
The Q4 earnings and revenue growth pace at this stage represent a clear acceleration from what we had seen from this group of companies in other recent periods. Positive beats are less numerous this reporting cycle, with the EPS and revenue beats percentages tracking below the 20-quarter averages for this group of index members.
The Tech sector has been a key growth driver since 2023 and is on track to play that role in 2025 Q4 and beyond as well. Q4 earnings growth for the S&P 500 index drops to +5.5% from +9.2% after removing the Tech sector’s enormous contribution from the aggregate numbers. The Tech sector is currently expected to account for almost half of S&P 500 earnings growth in 2026.
Q4 earnings for the ‘Magnificent 7’ group of companies, which includes the likes of Meta Platforms META, Microsoft MSFT and Tesla TSLA, are expected to be up +17.1% from the same period last year on +16.7% higher revenues. Excluding the ‘Mag 7’ contribution, Q4 earnings for the rest of the index would be up only +6.3% (vs. +9.2%).
The Earnings Big Picture
The Tech sector has an outsized role in the S&P 500 index. The sector is expected to bring 36.1% of the index’s total earnings over the coming four-quarter period and currently accounts for 43.3% of the index’s total market capitalization. The Tech sector’s positive estimate revision trend is a major reason its members enjoy a strong market following and support.

Zacks Earnings Trends Highlights: Meta, Microsoft and Tesla

Tesla Sunsets Model S and X
Tesla’s (TSLA) eccentric and unpredictable CEO is known for throwing surprises into earnings conference calls, and Wednesday was no different. On Tesla’s Q4earnings call Musk surprised Wall Street analysts by declaring,“It’s time to basically bring the Model S and X programs to an end with an honorable discharge.” Adding, “If you’re buying a Model S and X, now would be the time to order it.”
Why is Tesla Ending Model S and X Production?
The Model S, a luxury sedan that starts at $95,000, and the Model X, a luxury electric SUV that starts at $100,000, are among Tesla’s oldest models. In fact, these models were necessary ingredients for Musk to sell in order to deliver consumers proof of concept, make EVs “cool”, and finally, make the low-cost mass market Model 3 go from dream to reality.
However, Musk and Tesla are likely ending production of these models for three main reasons:
1. Financials: Since the Model S and X were first introduced, the EV market has become far more competitive, and prices have dropped significantly. Currently, these two models account for less than 5% of Tesla’s overall revenue.
2. Fremont Factory Use: Tesla will retool its Fremont, California, factory to begin production of the Optimus humanoid robot. Fremont is the largest manufacturing plant in California and will help Tesla scale up Optimus production. (Musk says one million Optimus robots per year is eventually possible)
3. Pivot to Autonomy: Although Elon Musk has been steering his team further away from the legacy EV business, the Model S and X news shows he is all-in on the next generation of Tesla products.
Elon Goes All in on Autonomy and Robotaxis
Unlike traditional entrepreneurs who slowly test new ideas, Elon Musk has a history of making bold, seemingly risky, all-in bets and being correct. For instance, Musk famously nearly squandered his PayPal fortune to save Tesla and SpaceX when they were on the verge of bankruptcy. Meanwhile, Musk famously and stubbornly removed LiDAR sensors from self-driving Teslas even at the behest of top Tesla executives who warned against it.
While Musk’s grand ambitions seem crazy in real-time, they often come to fruition. For instance, years ago, when Elon and his brother Kimbal pitched a “Yellow Pages” executive an online version of a city map (Zip2), the executive threw a Yellow Pages book back at them. Based on Musk’s history, it’s fair to say that he has all his chips on the autonomy and robotaxi basket. In the meantime, the legacy EV business will provide cash flow to Tesla’s new ventures.

Based on Elon Musk’s comments and his business decisions, Tesla is a stock that will trade almost entirely off the potential of its future product line. Revenue vs. Wall St. Estimates: Revenue of $24.901B actual, $24.78B expected.
Revenue: Down 3% year over year.

Q4 Deliveries Drop
Q4 vehicle deliveries dropped 15.6%. As I wrote prior to the Tesla EPS release, investors have already priced in a slowdown in the legacy EV business due to the loss of federal tax credits. Despite the slowdown in sales, margins increased by 4% - positive sign.
Tesla to Acquire $2B of Preferred Stock in XAI
Tesla will invest in xAI to “bring AI into the physical world.” Elon Musk’s xAI has experienced explosive growth in 2025-2026, driven by a $20 billion Series E round that pushed its valuation to roughly $230 billion. The company is rapidly scaling its infrastructure, including the "Colossus" supercomputer in Memphis, and has achieved significant user adoption, with 38 million monthly active users by late 2025. Shareholders have to be pleased with this for four reasons:
1. With Tesla’s legacy EV business slowing, Tesla investors can take part in the scorching hot AI boom.
2. xAI’s valuation recently boomed to $230 billion following a successful Series E
3. Grok is consistently one of the best-performing AI models. (has backing from Nvidia, Fidelity, Qatar Investment Authority, etc.)
4. Tesla investors will be able to leverage synergies between the two companies.
Tesla Energy Continues to Impress

Cybercab & Semi Update
According to Tesla,“Preparations continue in North America for the production ramps of Tesla Semi and Cybercab, both commencing 1h26, and production of the next-generation roadster.” Tesla also unveiled the latest, refreshed design of the Semi. Earlier this week, Tesla signed a deal with Warren Buffett-backed Pilot Travel Centers to install Semi Chargers across 35 locations in the U.S. Construction of these Tesla Semi Chargers will begin in the first half of 2026.
Robotaxi/FSD Update
Tesla's Robotaxi fleet has cumulatively driven 650,000 miles since June 2025.

For the first time, Tesla has revealed how many customers are subscribed to FSD (Supervised). Total subscribers:
• 2025: 1.1 million
• 2024: 800K
• 2023: 600K
• 2022: 500K
• 2021: 400K
Tesla is now generating about $1.3 billion a year from FSD subscriptions.
Analyst Comments
Investors are shifting their focus away from Tesla’s slowing "legacy EV business" (where deliveries dropped 15.6% and revenue fell 3% year-over-year) and are instead valuing the company based on three emerging pillars:
1. Physical AI Company: Optimus, Robotaxis, FSD.
2. Energy Company: With record profitability, new products in the pipeline, and the AI revolution just getting started, Tesla Energy is fast becoming an integral revenue stream for Tesla.
3. A Broad Ecosystem: As Apple did with the iPhone, Mac, & iTunes, Tesla is doing with transportation, energy, and software.
Meanwhile, the company has confirmed the production and launch of several key future growth drivers that have been in the pipeline for years. Based on the pre-EPS and post-EPS price action, investors are signaling that they are keen to bet on Tesla’s future growth prospects and execution rather than dwell on the slowing growth in the EV business.
With that in mind, in order for the stock to continue rising, Tesla will need to:
· Begin Optimus production on time.
· Scale the robotaxi network and receive regulatory approval.
· Ensure that the legacy EV business does not continue to bleed.

TSLA EPS Review: A Tsunami of New Product Launches Awaits

For the quarter ended December 2025, Tesla (TSLA) reported revenue of $24.9 billion, down 3.1% over the same period last year. EPS came in at $0.50, compared to $0.73 in the year-ago quarter.
The reported revenue represents a surprise of -0.94% over the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $25.14 billion. With the consensus EPS estimate being $0.46, the EPS surprise was +8.7%.
While investors closely watch year-over-year changes in headline numbers -- revenue and earnings -- and how they compare to Wall Street expectations to determine their next course of action, some key metrics always provide a better insight into a company's underlying performance.

Revenues- Services and other: $3.37 billion versus the nine-analyst average estimate of $3.48 billion. The reported number represents a year-over-year change of +18.4%.
Revenues- Automotive sales: $16.75 billion versus the nine-analyst average estimate of $17.97 billion. The reported number represents a year-over-year change of -10.2%.
Revenues- Automotive regulatory credits: $542 million compared to the $397.59 million average estimate based on six analysts. The reported number represents a change of -21.7% year over year.
Total Automotive Revenue: $17.69 billion versus $17.6 billion estimated by five analysts on average. Compared to the year-ago quarter, this number represents a -10.6% change.
Revenues- Automotive leasing: $401 million versus the five-analyst average estimate of $386.73 million. The reported number represents a year-over-year change of -10.3%.
Gross profit- Total Automotive: $3.61 billion compared to the $2.93 billion average estimate based on seven analysts.
Shares of Tesla have returned -5.2% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's +0.8% change. The stock currently has a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell), indicating that it could underperform the broader market in the near term.

Here's What Key Metrics Tell Us About Tesla (TSLA) Q4 Earnings

It’s a very newsworthy day on Wall Street today, with the biggest amount of consequential earnings reports — including three of the “Mag 7” — joining the latest FOMC meeting, where the Fed decided to keep rates steady as expected. Market indexes were flattish ahead of the Fed news, and closed without changing much: the Dow +0.025%, the S&P 500 -0.01%, the Nasdaq +0.17% and the small-cap Russell 2000 -0.49%.
Notes on Today’s Fed Decision & Powell Presser
As expected, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decided not to move on Fed funds rate levels from the 3.50-3.75% range today. This follows three straight cuts of 25 basis points (bps) which helped bring the rate down 175 bps from near-term highs last seen in September 2024. There were again two dissenters, Fed Governors Stephen Miran and Chris Waller — that latter of whom has made the short list to replace Fed Chair Jerome Powell at the end of his term in May.
That said, the dissenting votes were both for 25 bps, the first time Miran has not voted for a 50 bps cut since he joined the Fed last September. The Fed said the economy has “expanded at a solid pace” and is “coming into 2026 on firm footing.” Unemployment shows “some signs of stabilization” and inflation remains “somewhat elevated.” Thus, the monetary policy agency see both of its objectives within reasonable ranges, and ultimately found not enough compelling reason to cut rates further. The next FOMC meeting takes place March 17-18.
In Chair Powell’s press conference following the Fed statement, he did not answer questions regarding charges pending against him from the Dept. of Justice (really the White House, which has been putting pressure on Powell & Co. to cut rates since President Trump moved back into the residence a year ago), instead referring to his public statement on January 11th, where he pointed at the administration and its pressure campaign as the reason for the lawsuit.
Mag 7 Earnings Extravaganza: MSFT, META, TSLA
Microsoft MSFT shares slid initially on a complex report which included beats on both top and bottom lines. Earnings of $4.14 per share easily strode past the $3.88 Zacks consensus on $81.27 billion in revenues, outpacing expectations of $80.23 billion and the $69.63 billion reported a year ago. The software giant and AI hyperscaler releases guidance numbers on the upcoming conference call.
Its cloud business, Azure, brought in $39.0 billion in the quarter, slightly below the $39.4 billion consensus, but the big news following the report’s release concerns the Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO) in its AI space, which have ballooned up +110% to $625 billion, 45% of which are directly related to Microsoft’s exposure to OpenAI. Back in October, Microsoft spent $135 billion for a 27% stake in OpenAI.
Capital expenditures rose +66% in the quarter to $37.5 billion, and commercial cloud revenue — based on Microsoft’s Copilot AI service — gained +17% in the quarter. It will be some time before the market digests this massive RPO situation, but suffice it to say Microsoft is “all in” on the AI market. Shares are trading down -4% in the after-market.
Meta Platforms META trotted out its own report of humongous numbers, with firm outperformances on both top and bottom lines — earnings of $8.88 per share on revenues of $59.89 billion surpassed the $8.21 per share and $59.59 billion estimates, respectively — and a strong raise to current-quarter revenue guidance. Based on Meta’s massive continued investment in the AI space, the company now sees capex for fiscal 2026 coming in at $115-135 billion, from $110 billion projected earlier. Shares are up +5% in late trading.
Tesla TSLA posted mixed results in its Q4 report after today’s market close, with earnings of 50 cents per share outperforming estimates by a solid nickel while revenues of $24.90 billion was off the $25.14 billion anticipated. Both items are still well off the pace of a year ago. That said, the company says its new Cybercab is on-track for 2026 production. Shares of Tesla are +3% on the news, still -1% year to date.
