DXC Technology, Inc. DXC shares gained 4% during Thursday’s extended trading session after the company reported better-than-expected financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2026. The company reported non-GAAP earnings of 68 cents per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 6.3%. However, the bottom line decreased 10.5% year over year.
DXC Technology has an impressive history of beating earnings estimates. The stock surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, the average surprise being 22.3%.
DXC reported revenues of $3.16 billion for the fiscal first quarter, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 2.9% but decreased 2.5% year over year. On an organic basis, revenues declined 4.3% year over year.

DXC Technology has changed its reporting segment structure, effective April 1, 2025, for the fiscal year 2026. The new structure includes three segments — Consulting & Engineering Services (“CES”), Global Infrastructure Services (“GIS”) and Insurance Services. This change aims to align financial disclosures with the company's operational organization and how management runs the business.
Revenues from CES declined 2.7% on a year-over-year basis to $1.25 billion. On an organic basis, the division’s revenues decreased 4.4% year over year. GIS revenues were $1.6 billion in the fiscal first quarter, down 3.5% year over year. On an organic basis, the division’s revenues dropped 5.7% year over year. Revenues from Insurance Services rose 5.4% on a year-over-year basis to $313 million. On an organic basis, the division’s revenues grew 3.6% year over year.
The company’s non-GAAP gross margin increased 140 basis points.
DXC’s non-GAAP operating income (Adjusted EBIT) was $216 million in the fiscal first quarter, down 3.6% year over year. The non-GAAP operating margin contracted 10 basis points to 6.8%.
DXC’s Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Details
DXC exited the fiscal first quarter with $1.79 billion in cash and cash equivalents compared with $1.8 billion in the previous quarter. The long-term debt balance (net of current maturities) was $3.1 billion as of June 30, 2025, up from $3 billion as of March 31.
In the fiscal first quarter, DXC generated operating cash flow of $186 million and free cash flow of $97 million. During the first quarter, it repurchased shares worth $48 million.
DXC Updates Guidance for FY26 & Q2
DXC Technology updated the outlook for fiscal 2026. For the fiscal year, it now expects revenues between $12.61 billion and $12.87 billion compared with the previous guidance of $12.18-$12.44 billion. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the top line is pegged at $12.29 billion, indicating a decline of 4.5%.
DXC still projects the adjusted EBIT margin to be in the range of 7%-8%. It now forecasts adjusted EPS in the range of $2.85-$3.35 compared with the previous guidance of $2.75-$3.25. The consensus mark for fiscal 2025 earnings per share is pegged at $3.05, calling for an increase of 11.1%.
For the fiscal second quarter, the company anticipates revenues between $3.15 billion and $3.18 billion. The adjusted EBIT margin is expected to be approximately 6.5% to 7.5%. DXC projects adjusted earnings per share of 65 cents to 75 cents for the fiscal second quarter.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter revenues and earnings is pegged at $3.07 billion and 77 cents per share, respectively.

What should investors expect from Palantir's Q2 report?
During the company's first-quarter report back in May, Palantir's management provided investors with financial guidance for Q2 as well as the full year.
Management expects the company to generate $936 million in revenue and $403 million in adjusted income from operations at the midpoint of its Q2 guidance. Should the company achieve these targets, it would represent year-over-year growth of 38% and 59%, respectively.
What happened to Palantir stock following the Q1 report?
The chart below illustrates Palantir's stock price action over the last three years. I've annotated the chart to include earnings reports, which are depicted by the purple circles labeled with an "E".
Do you notice anything peculiar from the stock's trajectory above? Since AI burst on the scene in early 2023, Palantir's share price has steadily climbed with each passing quarter report. The major exception, however, occurred earlier this year.
Following Palantir's monster Q1 report back in May, shares lost 12%. However, the brief sell-off wasn't driven by an earnings miss or anything management discussing during the investor call.
Rather, the meteoric rise in Palantir stock comes with heightened scrutiny around the company's underlying operating metrics. In other words, despite Palantir reporting best-in-class software metrics and explosive growth, expectations from investors are now incredibly high. Another way of looking at this is that Palantir stock has entered territory where "good" simply may not be good enough.
Is Palantir stock a buy right now?
Despite its sell-off a few months ago, Palantir stock has since rebounded in epic fashion and now trades near an all-time high.
The chart above plots the price-to-sales valuation of Palantir along with a group of peer companies. Palantir's prolonged valuation expansion has brought its valuation multiple far above any of its peers in the enterprise software arena. To add some context around these figures, Palantir's price-to-sales (P/S) ratio of 127 is meaningfully higher than where valuation multiples peaked for many companies during prior stock market bubbles.
While I remain optimistic about Palantir's long-run prospects, the company's valuation is overextended. And with expectations steadily rising, buying the stock with so much momentum behind it and at such a frothy premium does not seem prudent.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Palantir stock witness another pullback following the Q2 report, even if the company beats its guidance. Moreover, in the event that Palantir actually misses its targets, the stock could experience enormous downward pressure.
To me, the best course of action is to wait until Palantir publishes its second-quarter results before buying the stock. This way, investors can get a clearer picture around revenue growth, operating margins, profitability, as well as any valuable information regarding broader industry trends that Palantir's management may choose to share during the earnings call.

MDB Crosses Above Key Moving Average Level

MongoDB MDB is laying the groundwork for sustained subscription growth through a focused, long-term approach. The company is doubling down on the enterprise segment, where it sees the biggest potential, while also scaling its self-serve channel, which it calls a powerful engine for future growth. Many of the new users signing up for Atlas are first-time MongoDB customers, and the company is investing in onboarding and developer education to ensure they get the most out of the platform.
A major part of MongoDB’s strategy involves AI. The company is combining real-time data, search and retrieval into a single platform to make it easier for developers to build intelligent applications. With its Voyage AI acquisition, MongoDB has added advanced embedding and reranking models. The latest version, Voyage 3.5, improves accuracy while significantly lowering storage costs. MongoDB also plans to roll out a new feature that allows developers to generate embeddings directly from data within its platform.
To expand global adoption, MongoDB is reaching out to developers in multiple languages and ecosystems. It has added documentation in Mandarin, Portuguese, Korean and Japanese. At the same time, it is targeting relational developers with certifications, training and self-serve courses to help them transition into modern app development.
In the first quarter of fiscal 2026, MongoDB’s Subscription revenues were $531.5 million (96.8% of total revenues), which increased 21.6% year over year. Total customer count increased 16.05% year over year to 57,100. MDB is seeing solid growth in its subscriptions, and the ongoing, as well as the planned initiatives, are going to drive further growth in the coming quarters. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter 2025 Subscription revenues is pegged at $537.49 million.

MongoDB competes with tech behemoths, such as Amazon AMZN and Microsoft MSFT, providing subscription-based services for its cloud databases.
Amazon is enhancing its AWS database services by adding serverless options that automatically scale based on demand, removing the need for manual capacity management, making it easier for customers. Amazon is also integrating AI capabilities into its database offerings to support more advanced and dynamic application workloads.
Microsoft is doing something similar by enhancing Azure's database services by rolling out serverless capabilities, like autoscaling and per???second billing in Azure Cosmos DB and Azure SQL, to make usage more flexible and cost-effective. Snowflake has rolled out more than 125 new features, including upgrades to Generation 2 Warehouses and Adaptive Compute, aimed at boosting performance and automating scale for large workloads. SNOW also launched Openflow, a managed service that simplifies batch and streaming data ingestion, enabling real-time pipelines for AI deployments.
Building on its agentic AI roadmap, Snowflake introduced Snowflake Intelligence and Data Science Agent to help automate queries, accelerate model workflows and unify access to structured and unstructured data. To broaden developer reach, Snowflake acquired Crunchy Data to introduce an enterprise-grade Postgres offering. This addition is expected to support transactional workloads on the AI Data Cloud and attract Postgres-native developers.
Expanding Clientele and Partnerships Support SNOW’s Momentum
Snowflake continues to deepen adoption across finance, healthcare, manufacturing and media. JPMorgan Chase is improving decision-making by consolidating financial data on the AI Data Cloud. AstraZeneca is unlocking operational insights through integrated healthcare data on SNOW. Siemens is boosting manufacturing efficiency by connecting IT and OT systems on the platform. Samsung Ads and Dentsu are using SNOW to activate audience data for more personalized campaigns. Canva is simplifying workflows and accelerating product development by scaling on the AI Data Cloud.
Snowflake ended the first quarter with 11,578 total customers, up 18% year over year, including 606 customers contributing over $1 million in trailing 12-month product revenue. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter customer count is pegged at 11,961 customers, up 16.7% year over year, implying continued enterprise momentum.
Snowflake benefits from a strong partner ecosystem that includes Microsoft MSFT, Amazon, ServiceNow and NVIDIA, alongside consulting leaders like EY and S&P Global. Microsoft remains central to SNOW’s AI strategy, working closely with Snowflake to simplify development and enhance cross-cloud interoperability. The Acxiom partnership allows brands to unify identity and audience data in the AI Data Cloud, enabling more personalized, AI-powered marketing. As GenAI adoption scales, Microsoft’s co-innovation efforts continue to reinforce Snowflake’s enterprise positioning.
SNOW Offers Positive View for Q2 and FY26
For the second quarter of fiscal 2026, Snowflake expects product revenues in the range of $1.03-$1.04 billion, indicating year-over-year growth of 25%. For fiscal 2026, Snowflake projects product revenues to grow 25% year over year to $4.32 billion.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter fiscal 2026 revenues is pegged at $1.09 billion, indicating 24.91% year-over-year growth. The consensus mark for fiscal 2026’s revenues is pegged at $ 4.52 billion.

How Should Investors Play SNOW Stock?
Snowflake’s expanding customer base, ongoing platform enhancements and deep network of partners position it well for long-term growth. However, competitive pressure remains a key risk, with hyperscale cloud providers like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud offering overlapping capabilities.
Snowflake also faces mounting competition from data cloud and analytics vendors like Teradata and MongoDB, which are broadening capabilities and gaining traction.
