With a market cap of $1.8 trillion, it might seem premature to suggest tech titan Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) is destined for membership in the $3 trillion club, but the evidence is clear. If this comes to pass, investors who buy shares today could pocket returns of 67% if Meta crosses the $3 trillion mark. Here's why I believe the writing is on the wall.
A captive audience
Meta is the parent company behind several of the world's most popular social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. To stake its claim in the AI revolution, Meta tapped the information it compiles from the nearly 3.5 billion users who visit one of its platforms every day. This data helped the company develop its suite of Llama large language models (LLMs), which are among the most competitive in the industry. This positions Meta to profit from the tidal wave of AI adoption.
The company benefits from its foray into AI in other ways. Meta has long used machine learning -- an earlier branch of AI -- to surface relevant content for users and direct its targeted advertising. The development of generative AI only increased Meta's advantage, as the company curated AI-powered tools to help advertisers succeed.
The results tell the tale. In the second quarter, Meta generated revenue of $47.5 billion, which climbed 22% year over year, resulting in diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $7.14, which jumped 38%.
Commentary from CEO Mark Zuckerberg shed light on the results. He noted that AI is "unlocking greater efficiency and gains across our ads system ... [driving] roughly 5% more ad conversions on Instagram and 3% on Facebook." There's more. The company's content strategy is bearing fruit as users spent 5% more time on Facebook and 6% more on Instagram. More time translates to more advertising, which ultimately increases revenue.
The company's ever-expanding user base and increasing ad conversions position Meta for continued success.
The path to $3 trillion
Meta has a market cap of roughly $1.8 trillion (as of this writing), so it will take a stock price increase of roughly 66% to propel its value to $3 trillion. Wall Street's estimates that Meta will generate revenue of $196 billion in 2025, giving the stock a forward price-to-sales (P/S) ratio of 9. Assuming its P/S remains constant, Meta will need to generate revenue of roughly $327 billion annually to support a $3 trillion market cap.
Furthermore, Wall Street is currently forecasting Meta's revenue growth at nearly 15% annually over the next five years. If the company can achieve this benchmark, it could surpass a $3 trillion market cap as soon as 2029. Those projections might well be conservative, as Meta has grown its trailing-12-month revenue by more than 897% over the past decade.
Finally, at less than 27 times trailing-12-month earnings, Meta's valuation is cheaper than the multiple of 31 for the S&P 500 -- yet has increased by 656% over the past 10 years, well ahead of the S&P 500, which gained just 232%.

Prediction: This Unstoppable Stock Will Join Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, and Alphabet in the $3 Trillion Club Before 2029

When GE Aerospace (NYSE: GE) delivered its Q3 earnings last Tuesday (Oct. 21), one could argue that the stock reflected even greater optimistic expectations for growth. Thanks to a 75% year-to-date gain, GE is not only ranked first among 79 stocks in the Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund (NYSEMKT: XLI) but also 15th within the S&P 500.

While the Cincinnati-based company initially delighted investors with what it called "exceptional" results and an "across the board" full-year guidance increase, its brief 4.5% opening rally -- where it spent less than five minutes at an all-time high of $315 -- was quickly met with selling, then more selling on Wednesday, which ultimately took the stock back below $300.
Current holders of GE have expressed few worries, and lots to look forward to, as the company has now topped sales estimates in 13 of the past 20 quarters, Koyfin data shows, while beating EPS estimates for 12 consecutive quarters -- and 18 of the past 20 -- dating back to Q3 2020.
For those mulling a good entry point into the commercial and military jet engine manufacturer, any dip would suffice. Given that GE's Q3 results and increased forecast sparked at least five different analyst estimate revisions and price-target tweaks that moved the average return expectation over the next 12 months to $331, or about 11% above Wednesday's closing price. The most bullish analysts see the stock hitting $375, for about a 25% gain.
There's also the fact that 14 of 16 analysts who cover GE currently rate it a buy or strong buy, as well as the reality that Wednesday's 2.8% decline was its biggest 1-day drop in 2 months.
In short, long-term investors would be wise to take advantage of any weakness in GE Aerospace to initiate, or add to, a position.

GE Aerospace Raises Forecast. Time to Buy the Stock?

You might call General Electric the phoenix of corporate America. Because, like that legendary immortal bird, it seemingly has the ability to rise from the ashes of its predecessor.
The company was created well over a century ago, in 1892, by Thomas Alva Edison, the genius American innovator who invented the phonograph, the electric light bulb, and the motion picture camera, among countless other devices and, by the end of his life, held a world-record 1,093 patents.

Over its 133-year history, General Electric has been just as innovative. It created advanced technologies in hydroelectric power, aviation, energy grids, wind power, healthcare, materials science and many other fields.
And then it all fell apart like a slow-motion car wreck due to too much diversification, failed business strategies, and a disastrous foray into financial services. Losses at GE's financial unit almost sank the company during the Great Recession. The company's share price plunged more than 80% between 2007 and 2009.
Yet in recent years the stock has been resurrected and has soared since late 2022.
A three-way split
Of course, the GE ticker no longer represents the original conglomerate. Today, it belongs to GE Aerospace (NYSE: GE). The original General Electric company was split into three publicly traded companies beginning in 2021. The other two are GE Vernova (NYSE: GEV), which manufactures energy equipment, and GE HealthCare Technologies (NASDAQ: GEHC), which provides technologies like medical imaging, X-ray and ultrasound systems.
GE Aerospace has fared the best of the three over the past five years. It's up 727% over that time, though GE Vernova's share price has also done well, up 417%. GE HealthCare has climbed only about 20% over five years.
GE Aerospace makes jet and turboprop engines, among other aircraft components, and it's thriving due to the fact that the aircraft manufacturing industry is riddled with bottlenecks and supply problems.
With a market cap of about $321 billion, GE Aerospace had revenue last year of more than $35 billion. That's expected to rise about 16% to almost $41 billion this year. The stock trades at about seven times trailing earnings.
Strong results
The company reported third-quarter results Tuesday morning and they were stellar. Adjusted revenue rose 26% to $11.3 billion and earnings climbed 44% to $1.66 per share. Wall Street expected earnings of $1.46 a share on revenue of $10.4 billion. New orders during the quarter rose 5% to $10.3 billion and defense revenue jumped 26%.
And management raised full-year 2025 earnings guidance to a range of $6 to $6.20 a share from its prior estimate of $5.60 to $5.80.
What's driving that optimism?
Industry problems
In part, it's due to widespread industry supply problems.
Demand for air travel is up, yet the aviation industry is not supplying the aircraft, components, or necessary maintenance to meet it.
Commercial air travel demand grew more than 10% from 2023 to 2024 and is projected to grow at an annual rate of 4.2% through 2030.
But there's currently a severe shortage of aircraft and components due to a production halt during the COVID-19 pandemic, a lack of talent, and an aging global fleet of planes in need of repairs or outright retirements and replacements.
Aircraft engine maintenance and repair has become a "choke point" for commercial aviation, according to consulting firm Bain & Co, with shop turnaround times up 35% for legacy engines and 150% for new engines. Bain says these problems won't even peak until mid-2026 and should last through the end of this decade.
This year has already seen major manufacturing delays at plane makers including Boeing, maintenance problems at engine makers Pratt & Whitney and Rolls Royce (OTC: RYCEY), and a spare parts shortage across the industry.
Any company that can reliably supply jet engines and other components right now is in the sweet spot to profit from that industry crisis. That makes GE Aerospace a good buy at the moment.

Its collaboration with General Electric was one of the biggest selling points for Plug Power's initial public offering (IPO) in October 1999. Investors who bought the IPO weren't disappointed. It was the peak of the dot-com era, and Plug Power shares skyrocketed from a reverse split-adjusted IPO price of $150 per share to an all-time high closing price of $1,498 apiece on March 10, 2000 before subsequently crashing.

Today, Plug Power stock is trading below $3 per share. What happened?
In its Form S-1 filed in 1999 ahead of its IPO, Plug Power said it expected to incur losses through at least 2003. Now, more than two decades later, the company has yet to turn a profit. Plug Power's inability to meet goals and become profitable has been a major factor in eroding investor confidence and sending the hydrogen stock plunging over the years.
However, shares of Plug Power have surged nearly 250% in just the past six months, as of this writing. A lot is happening at Plug Power, including a recent major project milestone, substantial deals, and a new incoming CEO. In early October, one analyst even raised Plug Power stock's price target to $7 per share. That's a more than 100% upside in just 12 months. Industry experts, meanwhile, project the hydrogen industry to grow exponentially in the coming years.
Could this mark the start of a powerful bull run that transforms Plug Power into a monster stock in five years?
Why has Plug Power stock surged in 2025?
From a business standpoint, 2025 is proving to be a pivotal year for Plug Power. Some of its key moves and achievements this year include:
Launching Project Quantum Leap to reduce annual costs by $150 million to $200 million.
Shifting focus from material-handling equipment like fuel-cell forklifts to green hydrogen production and electrolyzers.
Securing a 5-gigawatt (GW) electrolyzer deal from Australia's Allied Green Ammonia.
Delivering the first of its 10-megawatt GenEco electrolyzer to Galp's Sines refinery in Portugal (Plug Power's largest project worldwide).
Achieving record production at its hydrogen plant in Georgia -- the largest green hydrogen plant in the U.S.
The last two are significant milestones. Scaling up hydrogen production will reduce Plug Power's dependence on third-party suppliers and lower costs, making it become a vertically integrated company. The delivery of its first electrolyzer to Galp validates Plug Power's ability to deliver full-scale commercial hydrogen solutions, unlocking substantial growth opportunities in major markets like Europe.
Most importantly, Plug Power's cost-cutting efforts and better hydrogen pricing are showing up on its numbers.
In the second quarter, revenue from electrolyzers tripled year over year, driving its overall revenue higher by 21%. Plug Power's gross margin, although still negative at 31%, improved drastically from a negative 92% in the year-ago quarter.
Could Plug Power stock become a multibagger in five years?
Plug Power has a game plan for the next five years. It sees "sustainable growth" over the next five years and expects to break even on its gross margin on a run-rate basis by this year's Q4. By the end of 2027, Plug Power expects to become operating-income positive and achieve overall profitability by 2028.
A leadership reshuffle is also underway, with Jose Luis Crespo all set to replace Andy Marsh as the CEO from March 2026. Since joining Plug Power in 2014, Crespo has been instrumental in overseeing the company's global operations, growing its sales funnel to more than $8 billion, and building relationships with key customers like Amazon, Home Depot, and Walmart.
Analysts project Plug Power's sales to grow by roughly 24% each in 2026 and 2027. If Plug Power can grow at this pace for the next five years, its sales could triple to $3.5 billion by 2030 and the stock price cross $12 a share, assuming the same number of shares outstanding as of June 30 and a low price-to-sales ratio of 4. That could still be a conservative estimate if Plug Power turns profitable in between.
Of course, a lot could go wrong in between, and it could be too early for Plug Power to become a 10-bagger in five years. Yet, given Plug Power's progress in 2025, the odds look stacked in favor of a lot more upside in the stock price than downside.

GE Aerospace's (NYSE: GE) latest big news helped confirm its status as an excellent stock for long-term investors to park cash in. Its current valuation probably means this isn't a stock that will shoot the lights out in terms of performance.
However, it does offer a relatively safe way to invest in a core holding, and it has an exciting long-term growth kicker to come. Here's why GE Aerospace is an excellent option for buy-and-hold investors.

GE Aerospace has an almost unassailable business moat
Manufacturing commercial and defense aerospace engines is a business with about as long a cycle as you can think of in the industrial world. It requires multibillion-dollar investments and expertise even to contemplate it, and that's why there are only three major players in the field. One is GE Aerospace, which manufactures engines both itself and through its joint venture with Safran Aircraft Engines, CFM International. The others are RTX's Pratt & Whitney, and Rolls-Royce.
Rolls-Royce provides engines for Airbus widebodies -- the A330neo, the A380, and the A350 -- and is an option on the Boeing 787 widebody. Pratt & Whitney engines power the A320neo family, the A220, and Embraer E-Jets.
However, GE Aerospace is by far the leading player in the industry, with GE or CFM engines powering the A320neo family (in competition with Pratt & Whitney). It produces the sole engine option on the Boeing 737 Max and the forthcoming Boeing widebody 777X, as well as the 787 Dreamliner.
In addition -- and this is a critical point for the investment case -- CFM International made the CFM56 engine that powers the legacy Airbus 320 family of aircraft and the legacy Boeing 737s.
Long-term recurring revenue
Given that commercial aerospace engines can be utilized by airlines for 40 years, they provide long-term recurring revenue from highly lucrative parts and services. This revenue is generated mainly by "shop visits," when engines come in for large-scale maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). An engine run that long might require three or even four shop visits.
To put this into perspective, the older CFM56 engine first entered service in 1982, with the newer LEAP engine entering service in 2016. However, according to GE Aerospace CFO Rahul Ghai on an earnings call in July: "Currently, approximately 40% of the CFM56 fleet has yet to undergo a first shop visit. And a majority of the operators anticipate keeping these engines in service well into [the] 2030s."
Ghai's comment highlights that the older CFM56 engine will continue to generate substantial revenue for many years to come. Meanwhile, the company is still building services revenue from the newer LEAP engine, which was first put into service nearly a decade ago.
In fact, management expects that LEAP services revenue won't be comparable to CFM56 services revenue until 2028 -- 12 years after the LEAP came into service.
The good news, as you can see in the chart below, is that the company is back on track in ramping up LEAP deliveries. (On the recentearnings call management upgraded its estimate for LEAP delivery growth to 20% in 2025, from a prior estimate of 15% to 20%.)
The long-term growth kicker
In a sense, GE Aerospace investors are buying into the existing services revenue from older engines, such as the CFM56, and the long-term recurring revenue from the LEAP engine, the first of which entered service in 2016, and which could still have 30 years of operation remaining.
However, the very long-term growth kicker could come from CFM's Revolutionary Innovation for Sustainable Engines (RISE) program.
I wrote a primer article about RISE in August. Since then, it has become abundantly clear that management believes the open fan technology CFM is developing is the future of commercial aerospace engines. During anearnings callin July, GE Aerospace CEO Larry Culp stated that the company is "all in" on open fan technology.
Fast-forward to early October, when the company published a "Product and Technology Update" that made its position clear on the benefits of open fan and next-generation ducted engine technology. Management noted that "Open Fan architecture offers inherent opportunities for durability and efficiency unmatched by ducted architecture." It included a chart implying that RISE open fan technology could have a bypass ratio (BPR) of more than 60, compared to next-generation ducted engines' BPR of approximately 15. In case you're wondering, LEAP has a BPR of 11, and CFM56 just 6.
A high BPR is the holy grail of aircraft engine manufacturing, as it means more airflow around the engine (bypass flow) compared to air going through the engine (core flow) -- and bypass flow is responsible for most of the thrust.
A stock to buy for the long term?
If these BPR figures are realized in a commercially available engine (CFM and Airbus are collaborating on testing), then engines developed through RISE could lead GE Aerospace to an even more dominant position in the industry, and another stretch of 40 years of lucrative revenue.

1 Ohio-Based Company That's a No-Brainer Buy for Long-Term Investors

Howmet Aerospace Inc.’s HWM defense aerospace market is playing a significant role in driving its overall growth. In second-quarter 2025, the company’s revenues from the defense aerospace market accounted for 17% of its total sales, increasing 21% year over year. The surge in revenues was augmented by the robust demand for engine spares, particularly related to the F-35 program and an increase in orders for new builds and legacy fighter jet parts.
This solid momentum is significantly benefiting Howmet’s Engineered Structures segment, which reported a 5% year-over-year revenue increase in the second quarter. With a solid pipeline of military-aircraft programs and a robust defense budget, HWM is poised to maintain strong demand momentum in the quarters ahead.
It's worth noting that in July 2025, the House of Representatives passed the fiscal year 2026 Defense Appropriations Act, providing a total discretionary allocation of $831.5 billion. Such robust budgetary provisions set the stage for Howmet, which remains focused on its defense business to win more contracts, which is likely to boost its top line.
Amid this backdrop, Howmet is scheduled to release third-quarter 2025 results on Oct. 30, before market open. Driven by its business strength, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues from its defense aerospace market is pegged at $351 million, indicating an increase of 21.5% year over year.
HWM’s Peers in the Defense Aerospace Market
Among its major peers, GE Aerospace’s GE Defense & Propulsion Technologies business is benefiting from the rising demand for its advanced propulsion systems and military engine programs. GE Aerospace secured a $5 billion contract from the U.S. Air Force to supply F110 engines, parts and support services as part of a Foreign Military Sales program.
It's another peer, Textron Inc.’s TXT defense business is gaining momentum, backed by key U.S. military contracts and steady government support. To this end, it is imperative to mention that in second-quarter 2025, Textron’s Bell segment signed a contract with the Tunisian Air Force for 12 SUBARU Bell 412EPXs, while Textron Aviation partnered with Thai Aviation Industries to support the Royal Thai Air Force.
HWM's Price Performance, Valuation and Estimates
Shares of Howmet have surged 98.9% in the past year compared with the industry’s growth of 24.4%.

Cadinha Adds $16 Million GE Stake as Aerospace Stock Surges Toward New Highs

As two of the market’s top-performing stocks in recent years, the discussion of buying the post-earnings dip in GE Aerospace GE or Netflix NFLX shares is a worthy topic after their Q3 reports on Tuesday.
Having impressive stock gains of around +300% in the last three years, respectively, GE shares were down 3% in today’s trading session with NFLX down 10%. More intriguing is that both of these respective industry leaders raised their guidance, adding steam to a buy-the-dip scenario.

LEAP Engine Sales Drive GE Aerospace’s Strong Q3 Results
Reflecting a broader recovery in global air travel and fleet modernization, GE Aerospace’s Q3 sales surged 26% to $11.3 billion from $8.94 billion in the comparative quarter. Propelling GE in particular was its LEAP engines, which are known for their reliability and efficiency and are growing in popularity due to their use in various modern aircraft such as Airbus’s EADSY A320neo and Boeing’s BA 737 MAX. GE Aerospace’s earnings soared 44% to $1.66 per share, versus EPS of $1.15 in Q3 2024. Furthermore, this impressively topped the Zacks EPS Consensus of $1.46 by 14%.
Brazilian Tax Dispute Dampens Netflix’s Q3 Results
Excluding a one-time charge related to a tax dispute in Brazil, Netflix’s core business performance was strong during Q3, highlighted by increased ad sales and new content partnerships. However, Netflix’s operations in Brazil were challenged by local authorities in regard to how the streaming king classifies and reports certain revenues and expenses. This resulted in a $400 million non-recurring tax expense that dented Netflix’s net income, as Q3 EPS of $5.87 was up 9% YoY but noticeably missed expectations of $6.89 by 15%. Netflix’s Q3 sales of $11.51 billion spiked 17% from $9.82 billion a year ago but slightly missed estimates of $11.52 billion.
GE Aerospace & Netflix’s Raised Guidance
Raising its full-year 2025 guidance, GE Aerospace now expects adjusted EPS between $6.00-$6.20, up from a previous forecast of $5.90. GE Aerospace now projects full-year revenue growth in the mid-teens, up from its previous estimate of low double-digit growth.
Pivoting to Netflix, the company now expects full-year revenue growth at approximately 16% from a previous forecast of 14%. Notably, Netflix also raised its operating margin forecast from 21% to 22%.
Monitoring GE Aerospace & Netflix’s Valuation
Correlating with their high growth prospects, GE Aerospace and Netflix stock are trading at notable premiums to the broader market at 52X and 47X forward earnings, respectively. Keeping their blazing stock performances over the last three years in mind, GE and NFLX trade below their forward P/E highs during this period but are above their medians as shown below.

Other traditional metrics, like price to sales, also point to GE and NFLX trading at stretched valuations, although the bright spot to their value has been through cash flow. Netflix especially stands out with a very high cash flow per share ratio of 59X, with GE Aerospace’s 8X being pleasantly above the S&P 500’s average of 6X as well.

Conclusion & Final Thoughts
It’s hard to overlook the idea of buying the post-earnings dip in GE Aerospace and Netflix stock but for now, both land a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). In terms of their valuations, more appealing opportunities could certainly come on a further drop, and the real indicator of more upside will be the trend of earnings estimate revisions (EPS) following their Q3 reports.
That said, given that these high-growth companies raised their guidance, the revision trend should be positive, especially for GE, considering its impressive earnings beat.
