BlackRock today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $5.21 per share of common stock, payable September 23, 2025 to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 5, 2025.
On July 23, 2025, the IBM board of directors approved a regular quarterly cash dividend of $1.68 per common share, to stockholders of record on August 8, 2025. With payment of the September 10, 2025 dividend, IBM will have paid consecutive quarterly dividends every year since 1916.
Penske Automotive Group, a diversified international transportation services company and one of the world's premier automotive and commercial truck retailers, today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a quarterly dividend of $1.32 per share, representing an increase of 4.8%, or $0.06 per share. This represents the Company's 19th consecutive quarterly increase. The dividend is payable September 3, 2025, to shareholders of record as of August 15, 2025.
Alexander & Baldwin today announced that its Board of Directors approved a third quarter 2025 dividend of $0.225 per share. The dividend is payable on October 7, 2025, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on September 12, 2025.
Bank of America today announced the Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend on Bank of America common stock of $0.28 per share, up $0.02 from the prior quarter. The dividend is payable on September 26, 2025 to shareholders of record as of September 5, 2025.
The Board of Directors of FirstEnergy today declared a quarterly dividend of $0.445 per share of outstanding common stock payable September 1, 2025, to shareholders of record at the close of business on August 7, 2025. Subject to continued Board approval, FirstEnergy expects to declare dividends totaling $1.78 per share in 2025. This compares to declared dividends of $1.70 per share in 2024 and represents an increase of more than 11% in annual dividend declarations since 2023.

(RTTNews) - Bank of America Corp. (BAC) declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.28 per share, up $0.02 from the prior quarter. The dividend is payable on September 26, 2025 to shareholders of record as of September 5, 2025.
The bank said that its board also authorized a new $40 billion common stock repurchase program, effective August 1, 2025, to replace the company's current program, which will expire on that date. As of June 30, 2025, the current program had approximately $9.1 billion in common stock repurchases remaining.
The Board also declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $1.75 per share on the 7% Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, Series B. The dividend is payable on October 24, 2025 to shareholders of record as of October 10, 2025.

A funny thing happened to RTX Corporation (NYSE: RTX) yesterday -- meaning funny-strange. RTX reported 9% sales growth in its fiscal second-quarter earnings report, and beat analyst forecasts with $1.56 per share earned on revenue of $21.6 billion.

Why Wall Street loves RTX stock
Investors seemed upset that RTX's guidance didn't measure up to expectations yesterday. All seems forgiven on Wednesday, however, with RTX stock erasing Tuesday's losses and closing the day up 4.9%. For this, you can thank the Wall Street analysts who lined up to raise their price targets on the shares.
Tic-tac-toe, four in a row, everyone from Bank of America to UBS sang RTX's praises today. BofA slapped a $175 price target on the stock, lowering its 2025 forecast but insisting that "outyear estimates" remain strong.
Susquehanna Research agrees that $175 is the right price. It noted that the effect of tariffs is baked into guidance for earnings of $5.80 to $5.95 this year. UBS and RBC took, respectively, the over and under, with RBC saying RTX stock is worth $170 a share, and UBS guessing $177 -- and calling the stock's valuation "attractive."
Is RTX stock a buy?
Call me a cynic, but I just don't see things that way. Beyond guidance, when I look at RTX stock, I see a defense company earning $6.1 billion in net profit over the past year -- but generating less than $3.2 billion in positive free cash flow.
It's bad enough that the stock costs 34 times trailing earnings, but a valuation of 65.5 times free cash flow is just plain ridiculous on a defense stock with a sub-2% dividend yield and a long-term growth rate below 10%.
Much as I like the company, there's simply no way I'd buy RTX stock at these prices.

The largest financials companies by market cap
The largest financial company in the world is Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A)(NYSE: BRK.B), with a market cap of more than $1 trillion. Many investors don't realize it, but Berkshire is technically an insurance company at heart -- Warren Buffett built its empire using insurance float from subsidiaries like GEICO and others.

So, as of this writing, Bank of America is the fifth largest financial sector company by market cap and the second largest bank stock. It's likely it will stay this way for at least a little while, as there's a wide gap between Bank of America and the No. 4 (Visa) as well as with the No. 6, fellow big bank Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC), which has a $260 billion market cap.
How it's going
Bank of America, and most other large bank stocks for that matter, just reported second-quarter results. In general, the numbers looked strong, and here are some key highlights:
Revenue and EPS grew by 4% and 7% year over year, respectively.
Customer deposits grew 5% to $2 trillion. Bank of America has the No. 1 retail deposit market share, and this growth rate was better than most peers.
The bank achieved a 10% return on equity (ROE), which is generally considered to be the threshold of a strong ROE.
Consumer banking added 175,000 net new checking accounts and consumer investment accounts grew by 13% thanks to strong market performance and inflows of capital.
Bank of America has the No. 3 investment banking market share year-to-date.
The company is doing arguably the best of the big banks when it comes to leveraging AI. It has 1,400 AI and machine learning patents, and, just to name one example, its "Ask Merrill" and "Ask Private Bank" AI tools get 23 million interactions per year.
Bank of America spent $5.3 billion on stock buybacks and increased its dividend by 8%.
Net interest yield increased by 3 basis points year over year despite no recent Federal Reserve rate cuts.
Bank of America's net charge-off rate improved by four basis points compared with a year ago.
I'm paying close attention to numbers like the net interest margin in the persistent high-rate environment, and the bank's NCO rate, which is a great indicator of the financial health of its customers.
Is Bank of America a buy?
The bottom line is Bank of America is an excellent institution, and its management has done a great job of embracing technology. If rates start to fall later this year as many expect, it could provide a nice tailwind for the stock, and the banking industry as a whole.
In fact, there could be several positive tailwinds in the next few years, including a looser regulatory environment, the surge in IPO and M&A activity we're seeing, and potential lower corporate tax rates. With Bank of America shares trading for less than 13 times forward earnings and a historically attractive valuation of less than 1.3 times book value, Bank of America could be an excellent performer over the next few years.

Rocket Lab surged as analysts moved price targets higher
On July 14, Citi published new coverage on Rocket Lab that maintained a buy rating on the stock. The investment firm updated its coverage on the stock in conjunction with a broader review of its outlook on the defense and aerospace industries. In general, Citi's analysts continue to see very strong momentum in the categories -- and they raised their one-year price target on Rocket Lab from $33 to $50 per share.
Bank of America followed up with its own coverage update on Rocket Lab on July 16 and also reiterated a buy rating on the stock. The firm's analysts raised their one-year price target on Rocket Lab stock from $30 to $50 per share and cited opportunities surrounding the company's reusable Neutron rockets and strong positioning in end-to-end satellite launch and development technologies as bullish catalysts.
Following gains on the heels of the coverage, Rocket Lab stock actually closed out the week above Citi and Bank of America's price target of $50 per share.
