Rocket Lab USA, Inc. RKLB is taking another clear step forward with the Neutron rocket after completing qualification testing for its innovative Hungry Hippo fairing system. This fairing is now on its way to Virginia for Neutron’s first launch campaign and the milestone shows that the rocket is progressing as planned.
The Hungry Hippo fairing sets Neutron apart in the reusable launch market. Most rockets discard their fairing halves during flight or must recover them at sea for reuse. Neutron instead keeps its fairing attached to the first stage during launch and landing. The fairing opens to deploy the second stage and payload, and then closes again so the rocket can return to Earth as one complete reusable vehicle. This approach supports faster reuse and simpler operations for frequent commercial, civil and national security missions.
With the fairing design and structure now qualified for flight, Neutron is moving deeper into launch readiness. The rocket is built from carbon composite material and can lift up to 13,000 kilograms, which positions Rocket Lab to compete for larger, higher-value missions.
Neutron began development in late 2021 and remains on track for its first flight in 2026. With major hardware arriving at Launch Complex 3 in Virginia, this achievement brings the company closer to introducing one of the fastest-developed commercial rockets to the market.

BAE Systems plc BAESY recently secured a new five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from the U.S. Navy to produce Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (“APKWS”) laser-guidance kits, providing U.S. forces with tens of thousands of additional low-cost precision munitions. The contract is valued at up to $1.7 billion and includes an initial $322 million order.
This agreement supports rising domestic and international demand and allows the Navy to procure APKWS kits over the five-year term. The guidance kits are available to all U.S. armed forces and allied nations through foreign military sales.

Noteworthy Wednesday Option Activity: RRX, YEXT, BA

Northrop Grumman NOC recently received a $100 million contract to support the Stand-in Attack Weapon (SiAW) and the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile Extended Range (AARGM-ER) programs. The award has been provided by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Eglin Air Force Base, FL.
The work related to this deal will be carried out in Northridge, CA, and is projected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2034. Per the contract, NOC will support work under the SiAW Middle Tier Acquisition and contribute to both production and research and development for the AARGM-ER. This includes hardware design, systems engineering, system modeling, testing and establishing repair capability for the test assets delivered under the program.
Significance of NOC’s SiAW & AARGM-ER
Northrop Grumman’s SiAW is built to help the Air Force strike fast-moving and hard-to-reach targets inside heavily defended areas. Its open-architecture design allows the missile to be upgraded quickly, helping it stay effective as threats change.
On the other hand, NOC’s AARGM-ER is a supersonic, air-launched tactical missile designed to counter the most advanced modern surface-to-air threats. It builds on the existing AARGM program by adding a high-performance air vehicle, an improved propulsion system and an advanced warhead.
These features strengthen Northrop Grumman’s role in developing modern strike systems. The ongoing work on SiAW and AARGM-ER reflects the company’s broader capabilities in missiles, armaments and advanced electronics aimed at helping the US deter and defeat emerging threats.

Northrop Grumman Secures a Contract to Aid SiAW and AARGM-ER Programs

(RTTNews) - Wednesday, The Boeing Co. (BA) along with United Airlines (UAL) conducted flight tests to evaluate a modernized data communication system designed to improve information flow between the flight deck, air traffic control and airline operation centers.
During the tests, the airline's pilots used United 737-8 jet serving as Boeing's 2025 ecoDemonstrator Explorer to evaluate Internet Protocol Suite standards, aiming to improve operational efficiency and flight safety while reducing air traffic congestion, fuel use, cost and emissions.
The project is expected to help support the ongoing upgrades within air traffic control system and enhance safety for the customers and the global aviation community.
The collaboration also includes government agencies in the U.S. and Europe, Boeing suppliers, aircraft communications service providers and academia.
BA is trading at $199.85, down 0.28 percent on the New York Stock Exchange.

Boeing, United Airlines Conduct Flight Tests To Evaluate Modernized Data Communication System

Airbus SE EADSY recently stated the completion of its transaction with Spirit AeroSystems, acquiring industrial assets dedicated to its commercial aircraft programs.
Under the deal, Airbus now owns the former Spirit AeroSystems sites at Kinston, NC (A350 fuselage sections); Saint-Nazaire, France (A350 fuselage sections); Casablanca, Morocco (A321 and A220 components) and a few more.
The company receives $439 million in compensation, subject to standard purchase price adjustments and customary post-closing review. Additionally, Airbus gets certain amounts to settle liabilities as outlined in the purchase agreements.

Airbus’ takeover of Spirit AeroSystems’ major production sites bolsters its oversight of essential components for the A350, A220 and A321 programs. How Does Business Diversification Help Boeing Sustain Growth?

LATAM Airlines Group (LTM reported a year-over-year increase in revenue passenger-kilometers (RPK: a measure of air traffic) for November 2025.
LATAM Airlines reported a 4.6% year-over-year increase in consolidated capacity, measured in available seat-kilometers (ASK). The uptick was driven by an 11.4% increase in LATAM Airlines Brazil’s domestic capacity, and a 4% rise in international operations. Internationally, two routes were inaugurated during November: Santiago (Chile) – Belo Horizonte (Brazil) and Bogota (Colombia) – Belem (Brazil).
LTM’s consolidated traffic, measured in RPK, increased 3.6% year over year in November, with the domestic market in LATAM Airlines Brazil reporting 12.1% year-over-year growth. The consolidated load factor (percentage of seats filled by passengers) for November 2025 fell to 85.4% from 86.1% in November 2024.
In November, LATAM Airlines transported almost 7.4 million passengers, an increase of 4.9% year over year. During the first 11 months of 2025 (between January and November), LATAM Airlines has transported 79.6 million passengers across its network.

November 2025 Traffic of Another Airline Company
Apart from LATAM Airlines, another airline company that has reported traffic numbers for November 2025 is Ryanair Holdings RYAAY.

European carrier, Ryanair reported solid traffic numbers for November2025, driven by upbeat air-travel demand.
The number of passengers transported on Ryanair flights was 13.8 million in November2025, reflecting a 6% year-over-year increase. The Novemberload factor (percentage of seats filled by passengers) of 92% remained flat on a year-over-year basis, reflecting consistent passenger demand for the airline's services. RYAAY operated more than 78,000 flights in November2025.
Passenger volume has been robust at Ryanair, following the end of the pandemic and normalization of economic activities. With travel bookings rising across the industry, passenger revenues at Ryanair are also rising. Because of this air-travel demand strength, RYAAY's traffic grew 9% to 183.7 million passengers in fiscal 2024.
Further, we would like to remind investors that Ryanair carried 200.2 million passengers (traffic up 9% year over year) in its fiscal year ending March 2025, positioning itself as the first European airline to reach 200 million passengers in a single year. As a result, RYAAY is now the world’s leading low-fare airline in terms of passenger traffic, with low fares and reduced costs acting as the main catalyst.
During the first half of fiscal 2026, RYAAY’s traffic grew 3% year over year to 119 million passengers. Given the aforesaid encouraging backdrops, Ryanair has unveiled its raised traffic outlook for fiscal 2026 (concurrent with its second-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings release on Nov. 3, 2025). Ryanair now expects its fiscal 2026 traffic to grow by more than 3% to 207 million passengers (prior view: 206 million), owing to earlier than expected Boeing BA deliveries and solid demand during the first half of fiscal 2026.
