(RTTNews) - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (TEVA), a biopharmaceutical company, announced its intentions to issue senior notes through its special-purpose finance subsidiaries.
Teva Pharmaceutical Finance Netherlands II B.V. (Teva Finance II) intends to issue euro-denominated senior notes, while Teva Pharmaceutical Finance Netherlands III B.V. (Teva Finance III) and Teva Pharmaceutical Finance Netherlands IV B.V. (Teva Finance IV) intend to issue U.S. dollar-denominated senior notes. The offering is subject to market conditions.
The notes will be unsecured senior obligations of the issuing subsidiaries and will be unconditionally guaranteed on a senior basis by Teva.
Teva did not disclose the expected net proceeds from the offering. The company expects to use the net proceeds, together with cash on hand, to fund the redemption of certain outstanding notes, pay related fees and expenses, and for general corporate purposes, including debt repayment, through tender offers or earlier redemption.
The planned redemptions include all outstanding 6.750% senior notes due 2028, as well as the 7.875% and 7.375% sustainability-linked senior notes due 2029.
Additionally, Teva intends to redeem up to $450 million of 4.750% sustainability-linked senior notes due 2027, and up to €1.25 billions of 4.375% sustainability-linked senior notes due 2030.
The conditional redemptions are expected to depend on completion of the notes offering, while the offering itself is not conditioned on the redemptions. Teva may also modify the redemption amounts or redeem additional outstanding notes at its discretion.
As of June 30, 2026, cash and cash equivalents amounted to $3,655 million.

Under the settlement, Ascendis will pay BioMarin royalties based on net sales of navepegritide-related products, including 20% in the U.S. and 18% in the European Union, South Korea, and Brazil. The payments will apply from the first commercial sale of YUVIWEL in each country through May 20, 2030.
The agreement resolves all litigation and disputes between the companies and gives Ascendis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-bearing license to research, develop, manufacture, and commercialise navepegritide-related products without restriction.

Novartis AG (NVS), a pharmaceutical company, has reportedly paused eight clinical trials evaluating rap-cel, a CD19 CAR-T cell therapy, following the deaths of three patients enrolled in the studies. The deaths may be attributed to a severe immune reaction leading to organ failure, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The trials, which were primarily evaluating the drug for various autoimmune and neurological diseases, were halted on August 24, 2026, after the company was notified about a life-threatening immune reaction among treated patients.

Celiac disease is a chronic autoimmune disorder triggered by gluten ingestion, leading to intestinal damage and symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fatigue. While a strict gluten-free diet remains the only available management option, many patients continue to experience persistent symptoms and intestinal injury. TEV-408 also reduced inflammation, as intraepithelial lymphocyte density increased by 27.60 in placebo versus 0.37 in TEV-408 participants, a treatment difference of -27.23 (95% CI: -39.67, -14.79).
Patient-reported outcomes showed and lower gastrointestinal symptom scores compared to placebo. TEV-408 was well tolerated, with no emerging safety signals observed to date.
Eric Hughes, MD, PhD, Executive Vice President of Global R&D and Chief Medical Officer at Teva, stated that these findings underscore the potential to move beyond managing gluten exposure and address celiac disease at its biological source. He added that the results strengthen confidence in targeting IL-15 as a therapeutic pathway.
The company highlighted that TEV-408 also has potential applications in other immune-mediated conditions, including vitiligo, positioning it as a "pipeline-in-a-product" candidate. Teva will present further data at upcoming scientific meetings and host an investor call to discuss the results.
TEVA has traded between $18.21 and $38.37 over the past year. The stock closed Tuesday's trading at $36.19, up 0.39%. In pre-market trading the stock is at $36.48, up 0.77%.

Teva Reports Positive Phase 2a Results For TEV-408 In Celiac Disease

(RTTNews) - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TEVA) announced positive topline results from an ongoing Phase 2a study of TEV 408, an investigational anti-interleukin-15 monoclonal antibody, in adults with celiac disease. The study met primary endpoint, demonstrating statistically significant and clinically meaningful prevention of gluten-induced intestinal damage versus placebo at week 8.
Additional analyses from the ongoing Phase 2a study are underway. The company plans to present further data from the study at a future scientific meeting.
In pre-market trading on NYSE, Teva shares are up 2.96 percent to $37.27.

Teva Pharma Reports Positive Topline Results From Ongoing Phase 2a Study Of TEV 408

(RTTNews) - Teva Pharmaceuticals, a U.S. affiliate of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA), announced a shared commitment with the Trump Administration to lower the cost of select medicines for American patients covered by Medicaid, while supporting continued investment in scientific innovation and U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities.
According to the company, Teva is in active discussions with the Trump Administration regarding an agreement aligned with all four of the President's drug pricing priorities, which include lower U.S. Medicaid prices, Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) pricing for future innovative drugs, U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturing/investment, and strengthening the U.S. pharmaceutical supply chain.
If an agreement is reached, Teva would align U.S. Medicaid pricing for select medicines with leading prices in developed markets under the GENEROUS (GENErating cost Reductions for U.S. Medicaid) framework.
In addition, the agreement would include a prospective Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) commitment for applicable future innovative product launches, the company said. "Teva appreciates the opportunity to work with President Trump and his Administration to expand access and affordability for patients today while enabling continued investment in medicines patients need tomorrow," said Chris Fox, President, Teva USA.
TEVA has traded between $18.14 and $38.37 over the last year. The stock closed Monday's trade at $36.05, down 1.07%.

Teva Pharma In Talks With Trump Administration On Medicaid Drug Pricing Initiative

Both Neurocrine Biosciences NBIX and Teva Pharmaceuticals TEVA operate in the pharmaceutical sector, focusing on specialty medicines and treatments for serious health conditions.
NBIX focuses on neuroscience, with growth primarily led by its flagship drug Ingrezza. In contrast, TEVA operates as a global pharmaceutical giant that develops, manufactures and markets both branded and generic/biosimilar drugs.
But which one makes for a better investment pick today? Let's examine the fundamentals of the two stocks to make a prudent choice.
The Case for NBIX
This San Diego-based company’s commercial portfolio currently includes three first-in-class therapies. Neurocrine’s top-line growth is benefiting from strong uptake of Ingrezza, the blockbuster VMAT2 inhibitor approved for two indications — tardive dyskinesia (TD) and chorea associated with Huntington's disease (HD). The drug remains the company’s primary revenue driver and a key pillar of its growth story.
Ingrezza sales rose 17% year over year to $1.4 billion in the first half of 2026, supported by record new prescriptions and double-digit total volume growth. The strong performance prompted management to raise its full-year 2026 Ingrezza sales guidance to $2.83-$2.88 billion from $2.7-$2.8 billion. The midpoint implies approximately 13% year-over-year growth, indicating that Neurocrine expects the drug's commercial momentum to remain solid through the remainder of the year.
The company is also diversifying its revenue base beyond Ingrezza. Crenessity, launched in December 2024 for classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), is emerging as a meaningful second growth driver. The drug generated $337 million in sales in the first half of 2026, up about 400% year over year and already exceeding its full-year 2025 sales of $301 million.
The company further expanded its rare-disease portfolio through the $2.9 billion acquisition of Soleno Therapeutics, completed in May 2026. The acquisition added Vykat XR, which is approved to treat hyperphagia in Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Following the acquisition, Neurocrine recorded $54 million from the drug’s sales in the second quarter of 2026.
Beyond its marketed products, Neurocrine has a broad pipeline. Its late-stage pipeline includes phase III programs for osavampator in major depressive disorder and direclidine in schizophrenia. The company also has several earlier-stage programs targeting areas including obesity, classic CAH and movement disorders. NBIX expects around 10 clinical study readouts next year.
However, Ingrezza remains a major source of revenues, leaving Neurocrine exposed to competitive pressures. Teva's Austedo and Austedo XR compete directly with Ingrezza in TD and HD chorea. In addition, pricing pressure could increase as a lower negotiated Medicare price for Austedo takes effect in 2027.
Neurocrine is also facing execution risks with Vykat XR, which remains in the early stages of commercialization. Post-marketing serious adverse events have been reported to the FDA, although such reports do not establish that the drug caused the events. NBIX acknowledges that adverse-event or safety concerns could affect market acceptance, prompt regulatory scrutiny or increase treatment discontinuations.
The Case for TEVA
The Israel-based company is one of the world’s largest generic drugmakers in terms of both total and new prescriptions. It enjoys a leading position in the United States, where it commands a share of more than 6% of total U.S. generic prescriptions.
Teva is gradually moving from predominantly traditional small-molecule generic manufacturer to a more diversified player in complex generics and biosimilars. In the past few quarters, the company has launched several successful biosimilars and other high-value complex generics. These include Truxima (biosimilar to Roche’s Rituxan), Simlandi (biosimilar to AbbVie’s Humira), Selarsdi (biosimilar to J&J’s Stelara), Epysqli (biosimilar to AstraZeneca’s Soliris) and Novo Nordisk’s Victoza.
Teva also maintains a diversified portfolio of higher-margin branded and innovative medicines, which are transforming its portfolio mix and financial profile. Its newer products — Austedo, Ajovy (preventive treatment of migraine) and Uzedy (schizophrenia) — are gaining market share and delivering strong top-line growth.
Austedo remains the largest contributor to the franchise, with global sales rising 40% year over year to $696 million in the second quarter. Teva expects Austedo revenues of $2.45-$2.60 billion in 2026. The Austedo franchise got a boost from the launch of Austedo XR, a new once-daily formulation of Austedo. Teva expects Austedo revenues to exceed $3 billion by 2030.
Ajovy is also delivering strong growth, with global revenues increasing 56% year over year to $244 million in the second quarter. Teva expects Ajovy sales of $850-$870 million in 2026 and estimates peak global sales potential of approximately $1 billion. Meanwhile, Uzedy revenues increased 43% to $77 million in the second quarter, with full-year 2026 sales expected to reach $270-$290 million.
However, Teva’s generics business faces a revenue cliff for lenalidomide capsules (the generic version of Bristol-Myers’ Revlimid), due to increased competition in the United States. Global generics revenues are expected to be flat to down in the low single digits in local currency in 2026, excluding the impact of generic Revlimid and the Japan business divestment. This outlook reflects fewer high-value launches, lower seasonal demand for OTC products and increased competition in some markets. The generic market is also highly crowded, as Teva competes with players like Dr. Reddy’s RDY, Viatris and Sandoz, among others.
The company also faces competitive pressure for some of its key branded drugs. Austedo competes with Ingrezza, while Ajovy faces competition from other CGRP-targeting therapies, including Amgen's Aimovig and Eli Lilly's LLY Emgality.
In addition, Teva has a high debt load – the company’s consolidated debt (short- plus long-term) was approximately $16.6 billion at the end of June 2026.
How Do Estimates Compare for NBIX & TEVA?
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Neurocrine’s 2026 sales and EPS implies year-over-year growth of 31% and 27%, respectively. Bottom-line estimates for 2026 have declined during the past 30 days.
For Teva, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 sales is expected to decline 4% year over year, while EPS estimates are expected to fall 6%. Bottom-line estimates for 2026 have been trending downwards over the past 30 days.
Price Performance and Valuation of NBIX & TEVA

NBIX vs. TEVA: Which Drugmaker Is the Better Investment?

Neurocrine Biosciences NBIX delivered a better-than-expected second quarter, with revenues and adjusted earnings per share topping the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The company also raised its 2026 Ingrezza sales outlook, reinforcing the role of its flagship therapy in near-term growth.
The next test is whether prescription momentum, Crenessity's launch and Vykat XR can keep widening the revenue base as research and commercial spending rises. That balance matters because Ingrezza remains Neurocrine's main revenue engine even as newer products broaden the portfolio.
NBIX Delivers a Strong Q2 Beat
Second-quarter revenues increased 39% year over year to $959 million, above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $901.5 million. Adjusted earnings of $2.85 per share rose 73% and beat the consensus estimate of $2.26.
The beat was broad-based. Ingrezza sales reached $716 million versus the $628.6 million consensus mark, while Crenessity generated $184 million compared with the $170.8 million estimate. Vykat XR added $54 million from May 18 through quarter-end, giving Neurocrine contributions from all three marketed therapies.
Neurocrine Raises the Bar for Ingrezza
Ingrezza sales increased 15% in the second quarter and 17% in the first half of 2026 to $1.4 billion. Neurocrine cited double-digit prescription volume growth, record new prescriptions and continued access covering about 70% of Medicare lives.
Management raised 2026 Ingrezza net product sales guidance to $2.825-$2.875 billion from $2.7-$2.8 billion, implying roughly 13% growth at the midpoint. Neurocrine estimates that tardive dyskinesia affects about 800,000 U.S. patients, with roughly 10% receiving a VMAT2 inhibitor. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. NBIX Adds Rare-Disease Growth Engines
Crenessity generated $337 million in first-half 2026 sales, up about 400% year over year and already above its $301 million total for 2025. About 15% of the estimated diagnosed classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia population has been prescribed the drug, and its prescriber base has nearly tripled.
Vykat XR contributed $54 million in reported second-quarter sales after the Soleno acquisition closed in May, while unaudited pro forma full-quarter sales were $94 million. Neurocrine expects launch-related discontinuations to largely work through during the third quarter and anticipates sequential sales growth beginning in the fourth quarter.
Neurocrine Is Spending More To Scale
Adjusted research and development expenses rose 24% to $276.1 million, reflecting investment across a broader development portfolio. Adjusted selling, general and administrative expenses increased 20% to $304.9 million as Neurocrine expanded commercial support for Ingrezza, Crenessity and Vykat XR.
The company also raised 2026 adjusted research and development guidance to $1.14-$1.19 billion and selling, general and administrative guidance to $1.325-$1.35 billion. Bristol Myers Squibb BMY already markets Cobenfy for adults with schizophrenia, a market relevant to Neurocrine's phase III direclidine program and its expanding research investment.
NBIX Signals Temper Q2 Optimism
The second-quarter beat, higher Ingrezza guidance and growing rare-disease portfolio support the revenue story, but higher operating investment and execution risks keep the outlook balanced. Vykat XR retention, Ingrezza pricing exposure and pipeline delivery remain important variables as Neurocrine scales.
