The company offers its OTC products under SUDOCREM, NasenDuo, DICLOX FORTE, OLFEN Max, and FLEGAMINA brand names. It has collaboration agreements with MedinCell; Sanofi; Alvotech; and Biolojic Design Ltd., as well as license agreement with MODAG GmbH. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (NYSE: TEVA) has clawed back from the brink like few drugmakers have. After a long stretch of poor performance, a company once buried under debt, patent cliffs, and litigation is now up by 97% in the last 12 months. The bull case credits its expanding biosimilars lineup, and that quickly growing segment could mean the stock has more room to run.
Still, a recently risen share price and a growing product line are not the same as a stock worth buying today. Will biosimilars truly move the needle for a business this size? Is the easy money already made, or is there more to come? Let's find out.

What the biosimilar build-out will accomplish
If you aren't familiar, a biosimilar drug is a near-copy of a biologic medicine like an antibody or protein. Unlike generic medicines that are small molecules which can be synthesized fairly inexpensively at scale, biosimilars are almost always quite costly and fairly slow to make, which is why Teva sources most of its biosimilars through a biotech partner, Alvotech, that develops and manufactures them while Teva handles commercialization in the U.S.
That means that Teva captures only a slice of the proceeds in a category that's characterized by narrow margins and a high degree of competition based around providing lower prices. In other words, biosimilars launch at steep discounts to their branded equivalents by necessity and then are forced to erode further with each new entrant.
The copies of AbbVie's Humira are the cautionary tale to know here. Uptake crawled for over a year until pharmacy-benefit managers (PBMs) swapped in versions priced far below the brand name medicine. Even so, the Humira copies took only about 21% of volume by late 2024, and Teva's biosimilar Selarsdi now battles a handful of rivals for what's left of the pie.
As for what's already approved and what's coming, Teva has two Alvotech-partnered biosimilars on the U.S. market so far: Simlandi, its copy of Humira, which launched in May 2024, and Selarsdi, its Stelara copy, which followed in February 2025. Three more are working through the the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Proposed biosimilars to the inflammatory-disease drug Simponi and the eye drug Eylea were resubmitted in June 2026 and are under a six-month review, while a proposed interchangeable biosimilar to the bowel-disease drug Entyvio was accepted for review that same month.
On that note, Teva expects its biosimilars business to roughly double to around $800 million by 2027.
The real comeback is elsewhere
So if biosimilars aren't the story of Teva's resurgence, what is?
In short, the rebound is currently running on Teva's branded drugs, led by Austedo, which is prescribed for the involuntary movements of tardive dyskinesia and Huntington's disease and reached about $2.3 billion in sales in 2025, with smaller contributions from Ajovy for migraine and Uzedy for schizophrenia.
The issue with buying this stock now, in hopes of riding its future growth, is that Teva presently trades around 25 times its trailing price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio, which is a fair price for a specialty drugmaker and not really a bargain. The formerly distressed valuation that made this stock an easy win is long gone; its 2026 revenue is set to be flat to lower.
The turnaround is ongoing, and it will probably continue. Nonetheless, investors have bet on Teva's promise of cheap, efficient scale of generic medicines before and been punished for it, and with the easy rerating spent, the pharma industry offers better opportunities for growth elsewhere. This one is worth watching but not buying.

Under the terms, GSK will commence a tender offer to acquire all outstanding Nuvalent shares at $124 each in cash, and the transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory conditions.

The deal is expected to help JNJ expand its oncology portfolio.

Cartesian Therapeutics Inc. (RNAC) has inked a strategic licensing agreement with WestGene Biopharma Co., Ltd. to advance the development of novel in vivo chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapies in autoimmune diseases.
Cartesian's lead asset is Descartes-08, an autologous mRNA CAR-T targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA).
In partnership with WestGene, Cartesian will conduct a Phase 1 dose-escalation study of the mRNA used in Descartes-08 delivered via WestGene's proprietary targeted lipid nanoparticles (tLNPs) in patients with generalized myasthenia gravis. This study is expected to be initiated in 2H 2026, with topline data anticipated in 1H 2027.

CG-100 has the FDA BDD designation and is CE-marked, and Colospan is also conducting a pivotal U.S. clinical trial. Galmed plans to invest $6 million to launch the device in Europe during the second half of 2026, initially targeting Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) reported that its investigational immunoselective treatment?IMAAVY (nipocalimab-aahu) delivered a rapid and durable improvement in haemoglobin levels in patients with warm autoimmune hemolytic anaemia (wAIHA) from its Phase 2/3 ENERGY study. wAIHA has no FDA-approved treatments.
In the study, IMAAVY demonstrated a safety profile consistent with its safety profile in the approved indication of generalised myasthenia gravis, the company stated.

Humacyte, Inc. (HUMA), announced positive top-line interim results from the Phase 3 study, dubbed V012, evaluating the Acellular Tissue-Engineered Vessel (ATEV) in female patients undergoing dialysis access.
The trial met its primary endpoint, which is total days free from indwelling catheter until 365 days after access placement, or until access abandonment, whichever occurs first.
Notably, patients implanted with the ATEV had an average of 220 catheter-free days, compared with 129 for patients who received an AV fistula. In primary safety-related factors, patients receiving the ATEV experienced infections at a rate of 6?per 100 patient-years, compared with 23 per 100 patient-years in patients receiving the AV fistula procedure.

Eli Lilly and Company (LLY) announced additional positive results from pivotal Phase 3 trials dubbed the TRIUMPH-1 trial for adults with obesity and TRANSCEND-T2D-1 in adults with type 2 diabetes evaluating Retatrutide, an investigational GIP,?GLP-1, and glucagon triple-hormone receptor agonist.
In the trials, Retatrutide showed substantial weight loss along with meaningful improvements in knee osteoarthritis pain, moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea, and A1C reductions, as well as weight loss?in type 2 diabetes. The types of adverse events seen in the trials were generally consistent with those seen in trials of other incretin-based therapies, noted the firm.

Zealand Pharma A/S (ZEAL.CO)'s partner Boehringer Ingelheim?reported positive trial readouts from?two global Phase III trials named SYNCHRONIZE-1 for adults living with obesity or overweight, without type 2 diabetes and the SYNCHRONIZE-MASLD study for adults with overweight or obesity with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), which evaluated its investigational glucagon/GLP-1 receptor dual agonist?Survodutide.
In SYNCHRONIZE-1, Survodutide showed an average sustained weight loss of up to 16.6% compared with 3.2% in the placebo arm, along with a 34.0% relative reduction in fat loss.
In the SYNCHRONIZE-MASLD trial, Survodutide met its other co-primary endpoint with a relative reduction in body weight of up to 12.2% compared to 1.0% in the placebo arm, and 6 out of 10 patients (61.0%) achieved liver fat normalisation compared to 5.7% in the placebo arm.
Meanwhile, treatment discontinuation rates due to GI adverse events were 19% in the Survodutide arm compared with 2.9% in the placebo arm.

Eli Lilly and Company (LLY)?unveiled new?findings based on post-hoc analyses of more than 1,500 female participants in the ATTAIN-1 and ATTAIN-2 clinical trials that evaluated Foundayo, an oral GLP-1 therapy.
In the ATTAIN-1 study, women in perimenopause lost up to 30.4 lbs (14.4%), while those in postmenopause lost up to 28.2 lbs (14.1%). In ATTAIN-2, women taking Foundayo experienced significant weight loss across all stages of menopause, even when living with type 2 diabetes.

(RTTNews) - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (TEVA) announced the completion of its acquisition of Emalex Biosciences for a consideration of $700 million, with the potential for up to an additional $200 million in commercial milestone payments, among other contingent payments.
The acquisition adds Ecopipam, an investigational asset for pediatric Tourette syndrome, to Teva's pipeline.
Ecopipam is an investigational, selective dopamine antagonist designed to block dopamine signaling at the D1 receptor, developed to treat repetitive and compulsive behaviors associated with Tourette syndrome. The drug has received orphan drug designation and fast track designation from the FDA for treating pediatric patients with Tourette syndrome.
The drug was successfully evaluated in a Phase 3 trial, which met the primary efficacy endpoint by reducing relapse time for pediatric patients treated with ecopipam. It was also found to be generally well-tolerated.
The New Drug Application for Ecopipam in pediatric Tourette syndrome is expected to be submitted in the second half of 2026.
Teva shares closed on Wednesday at $33.58, down 2.53%. In the pre-market the shares are trading at $33.99, up 1.16%.

Teva Acquires Emalex For $700 Mln; Ecopipam NDA Planned In H2 2026

Amneal Pharmaceuticals AMRX is heading into 2026 with a catalyst-and-risk setup that is easy to oversimplify. The market often frames the story around one branded product. That misses the broader earnings engine across retail generics, complex injectables and biosimilars, plus government distribution.
The real question for investors is whether the company can keep fundamentals improving even as Rytary faces generic pressure, and whether the current valuation already discounts that swing factor.
AMRX Setup Looks Better Than a One-Product Story
Amneal is not a single-drug narrative. The company operates through three segments: Affordable Medicines (retail generics, injectables and biosimilars), Specialty (a neurology-heavy branded portfolio) and AvKARE (distribution to U.S. federal government and other channels).
That mix matters because it diversifies cash flow and reduces dependency on any one product cycle. In fiscal 2025, total net revenues were $3.0 billion, with Affordable Medicines contributing $1.7 billion (57.8%), Specialty contributing $528.5 million (17.5%), and AvKARE contributing $744.7 million (24.7%).
For context, larger peers like Teva Pharmaceutical Industries TEVA and Viatris VTRS also lean on scale and breadth across generics and complex products to navigate industry pricing pressure.
Amneal’s Rytary Erosion Is the 2026 Swing Factor
Management expects Specialty revenue growth to be about flat in 2026, with Crexont growth offsetting anticipated generic erosion of Rytary. An authorized generic version of Rytary has already launched, and the company expects additional generic entrants.
That dynamic makes 2026 a transition year for the Specialty segment. The setup improves if Crexont and other brands scale enough to restore momentum after the loss of exclusivity, with management expecting the segment to resume a stronger growth trajectory from 2027.
AMRX Valuation Context Versus Sales Multiples
The market is pricing AMRX at a discount on a sales-multiple basis. The stock is trading at 1.48X trailing 12-month sales per share versus 2.19X for the Zacks sub-industry, 2.44X for the Zacks Medical sector, and 6.00X for the S&P 500.
That gap suggests investors are applying a meaningful haircut for execution and competition risk, including the expected Specialty headwind and ongoing generics pricing pressure. The question is whether operational delivery in 2026 can narrow that discount over time.
Amneal’s 2026 Outlook Still Calls for Progress
Amneal reaffirmed 2026 net revenue guidance of $3.05 billion to $3.15 billion. The key shift was profitability. The company raised its adjusted EBITDA outlook to $740 million to $770 million and lifted adjusted earnings per share to 95 cents to $1.05.
Holding revenue steady while lifting earnings ranges points to better mix, efficiency, and cash generation as the portfolio tilts toward higher-value products. That matters in a year when Specialty growth may be constrained by Rytary pressure.
AMRX: What Would Make the “Pre-Erosion” Case Work
Investors focused on the “pre-erosion” window in 2026 will likely want to see Affordable Medicines accelerate as projected. Management expects that segment’s net revenues to grow 7% to 8% in 2026, supported by new product launches and complex products.
A second checkpoint is evidence that the complex portfolio is carrying its weight. In the first quarter of 2026, Affordable Medicines revenue growth was driven by strong performance in the complex portfolio, including Women’s Health and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder medicines.
Third, AvKARE needs to remain a stabilizer. While AvKARE revenues declined 4% year over year in the first quarter as government-channel growth was offset by weakness in low-margin distribution, the segment remains a meaningful contributor to the overall revenue base.

(RTTNews) - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (TEVA), a pharmaceuticals company, on Friday announced new IMPACT-TD and RIM-TD data evaluating AUSTEDO and AUSTEDO XR in treating Tardive dyskinesia. The data was presented at the Psych Congress Elevate conference.
Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is a debilitating, chronic movement disorder affecting one in four people who take certain mental health treatments. It is characterized by uncontrollable, abnormal, repetitive movements of the face, torso, and other body parts.
AUSTEDO (deutetrabenazine) and AUSTEDO XR (deutetrabenazine extended release) are vesicular transporter 2 (VMAT2) inhibitors, and received FDA approval in 2017 and 2023, respectively. They are used to treat tardive dyskinesia and chorea associated with Huntington's disease.
IMPACT-TD is the largest real-world study of TD and evaluated patients with mild symptoms beginning AUSTEDO or AUSTEDO XR therapy. After three months, participant showed an improvement on the Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) scale while maintaining their psychiatric stability.
The three-year, open-label RIM-TD study found that patients showed long-term responses on sustained treatment. More than 50% showed AIMS improvement within 15 weeks, and an additional 23% saw improvement after week 15.
The study found that with greater caregiver education and awareness raised through online platforms, diagnosis of TD increased significantly.
TEVA is currently trading at $34.43, up 0.53%.

Teva Presents Positive Data For AUSTEDO And AUSTEDO XR In Treating Tardive Dyskinesia

(RTTNews) - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (TEVA), a pharmaceuticals company, on Friday announced new data from the real-world study evaluating AUSTEDO and AUSTEDO XR in treating Huntington's chorea. The results were presented at the Advanced Therapeutics in Movement & Related Disorders congress, 2026.
Huntington's Disease (HD) is a rare, genetic, fatal neurodegenerative disorder characterized uncontrollable movements, cognitive deterioration and psychological problems. A prominent manifestation of the disease is chorea, which presents as involuntary, sudden, twisting movements and occurs in about 90% of patients.
AUSTEDO (deutetrabenazine) and AUSTEDO XR (deutetrabenazine extended release) are vesicular transporter 2 (VMAT2) inhibitors, and received FDA approval in 2017 and 2023, respectively. They are used to treat tardive dyskinesia and chorea associated with Huntington's disease.
A real-world, decentralized study was conducted by the company in collaboration with the Huntington study group, to evaluate chorea and its impact on patients' and caregivers' quality of life.
The study initially surveyed patients with Huntington's to assess the disruptive effect of chorea on daily life. The non-interventional, online survey determined that patients and caregivers faced significant obstacles across social life, daily activities and in recreational work due to Huntington's chorea.
Upon initiating treatment with AUSTEDO or AUSTEDO XR, 77% of patients reported improvements in chorea movements, as measured on the Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIC) scale. Over 85% also stated that goals related to basic daily activities was improved with treatment. Additionally, 77% of patients showed improvements in social life, including increased emotional well-being, reduced stress and emotional burden.
TEVA closed Friday at $34.19, down 0.70%. In the pre-market, shares are trading at $33.85, down 0.97%.

Teva Reports Positive Real-World Data For AUSTEDO And AUSTEDO XR In Treating Huntington's Chorea

Generic medicines remain one of the most important pillars of global healthcare, but the industry's growth drivers are changing. While traditional small-molecule generics continue to account for substantial prescription volumes, intense competition and ongoing price erosion have reduced their ability to generate meaningful profit growth. 3 Generic Drug Stocks to Keep an Eye On
Sandoz: This Swiss-based generic drugmaker was spun off from Novartis in 2023. During the first quarter of 2026, Sandoz achieved net sales of $2.76 billion, up 3% year over year (excluding Fx). Growth was primarily driven by its biosimilars business, which grew 18%, led by strong demand for Afqlir (biosimilar to Eylea), Pyzchiva (biosimilar to Stelara), Jubbonti (biosimilar to Amgen’s Prolia) and Wyost (biosimilar to Amgen’s Xgeva). Biosimilars now account for nearly one-third of the company's total revenues and remain Sandoz's primary growth driver.
Sandoz expects 2026 sales to grow at a mid- to high-single-digit rate, supported by recent product launches and continued expansion of its biosimilars portfolio. In March, the company expanded its partnership with Samsung Bioepis to develop up to five biosimilars, including a biosimilar version of Takeda's Entyvio (vedolizumab). The agreement further strengthens what management describes as an industry-leading biosimilars pipeline and positions the company to capitalize on a significant wave of upcoming biologic patent expirations.
In the past year, the stock has surged 51%. The consensus estimate for 2026 EPS has increased from $4.11 to $4.13 in the past 30 days.

Teva: This Israel-based company is the world’s largest generic drug company, in terms of both total and new prescriptions. Teva enjoys a leading position in the United States, the world’s largest generic market, where it commands a share of more than 6%. The company regularly pursues FTF and first-to-market opportunities and seeks approval for complex generics, which are likely to face less competition.
The company has a growing biosimilars pipeline, with some products being developed in partnership with Alvotech. These include Simlandi and Selarsdi, the first two biosimilars launched in the United States under the Teva-Alvotech strategic partnership, which includes seven biosimilar candidates. The company expects its biosimilars business to generate $800 million in revenues by 2027.
The company is also benefiting from continued growth in its branded medicines portfolio, which includes Austedo, Ajovy and Uzedy. These products support Teva's ongoing transformation into a more diversified biopharmaceutical company.

Viatris: It offers a broad mix of generics, including oral solids, injectables and topicals. The company's generic business delivered strong performance in North America during the first quarter of 2026, supported by increased demand for estradiol, continued momentum from Breyna (generic version of Symbicort) and contributions from recently launched complex generic products. Viatris also benefited from new product launches, such as iron sucrose and octreotide, and expects additional growth from the planned U.S. launch of generic Abilify Maintena later this year.
Viatris’ branded business, which comprises two-thirds of its portfolio, also performed well. Key products such as Creon and Amitiza, along with other established brands, continued to support revenue growth.
The stock has surged 88% in the past year. The consensus estimate for 2026 EPS has increased from $2.44 to $2.47 in the past 30 days. Viatris carries a Zacks Rank #3 at present.

3 Generic Drug Stocks to Watch as New Growth Drivers Emerge

(RTTNews) - Alvotech (ALVO), a biotechnology company, on Thursday announced the re-submission of the Biologics License Applications (BLAs) for biosimilars ATV05 and ATV06 to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
AVT05 is a biosimilar to biologic medicines Simponi and Simponi Aria (golimumab), which are tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blockers used to treat a number of chronic inflammatory conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, ulcerative colitis and polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
AVT06 is a biosimilar to Eylea (aflibercept) 2 mg, a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of several retinal diseases that may lead to vision loss or blindness, including neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema and retinal vein occlusion.
Both AVT05 and AVT06 were developed under a collaborative agreement between Alvotech and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA).
The re-submission follows the company's response to a post-application action letter (PAAL) from the FDA after the submission of the original BLA. The PAAL related to Alvotech's manufacturing facility in Reykjavik, and the company has since completed a good manufacturing practices (GMP) surveillance FDA inspection of the facility in May 2026.
The company expects the FDA to complete a six-month review of the applications, consistent with regulatory timelines.
ALVO closed Thursday at $32.83, down 0.76%. In the pre-market, shares are trading at $33, up 0.52%.
TEVA closed Thursday at $3.14, up 4.16%. In the pre-market, shares are trading at $3.08, down 1.91%.

Alvotech And Teva Resubmit BLAs To FDA For Biosimilars AVT05 And AVT06

AbbVie ABBV announced that the European Commission has approved Aquipta (atogepant) for the acute treatment of migraine in adults with or without aura, to be taken as needed.
This marks the second approved indication for Aquipta in migraine in the European Union. The drug is already approved in the EU as a once-daily CGRP receptor antagonist (gepant) for the prevention of migraine in adults with at least four migraine days per month.
The latest approval in the EU was based on data from the pivotal phase III ECLIPSE study, which evaluated the safety, efficacy and tolerability of Aquipta versus placebo for the acute treatment of migraine.
Data from the study showed that treatment with Aquipta led to statistically significant pain freedom compared with placebo at two hours following the first migraine attack. The treatment effect was sustained through 48 hours and remained clinically meaningful and consistent across multiple migraine attacks.
AbbVie markets atogepant under the trade name Qulipta in the United States and several other countries across the world.

ABBV’s Neuroscience Franchise Aids Growth
AbbVie’s neuroscience portfolio is making a meaningful contribution to the company’s top-line growth. Revenues from its neuroscience portfolio increased 26% year over year to $2.88 billion in the first quarter of 2026.
The strong performance was driven by continued momentum for the depression drug Vraylar, migraine medicines Ubrelvy and Qulipta, Botox Therapeutic and Parkinson’s disease (PD) therapy Vyalev.
Importantly, AbbVie’s migraine portfolio maintained strong momentum in the first quarter. Ubrelvy sales rose 41% year over year to $339 million, while Qulipta generated $296 million in revenues, up 51%. Per management, Ubrelvy and Qulipta/Aquipta represent a combined $3 billion-plus peak sales opportunity. However, competition in the target market remains a concern.
Competition for ABBV in the Targeted Space
Qulipta/Aquipta faces competition from established CGRP-targeting therapies in the migraine market, including Teva Pharmaceutical’s TEVA Ajovy, Eli Lilly’s LLY Emgality and Pfizer’s PFE Nurtec ODT/Vydura.
While TEVA’s Ajovy and LLY’s Emgality are widely used preventive migraine treatments, PFE’s Nurtec ODT/Vydura is approved for both acute and preventive use in migraine in certain markets, potentially increasing competitive pressure.
Aquipta is also likely to face competition from other marketed migraine treatments as well as emerging therapies currently in development.

AbbVie Gets EU Nod for Aquipta as Acute Treatment for Migraine

As the pivot persists, with Teva further reducing its once-massive debt load along the way, earnings could surge even higher, in turn driving another strong run for shares.
Consider Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (NYSE: TEVA) the "comeback kid" among pharmaceutical stocks. As recently as a few years ago, the Israel-based company was not just facing headwinds with its legacy generic drug business, but also contending with high debt and massive opioid-related litigation liabilities.
Now Teva strengthened its balance sheet and put litigation issues into the rearview mirror, while transforming from a low-margin generic drug maker into a developer of higher-margin branded pharmaceuticals.

Better yet, the pivot remains in motion. Around 50% of Teva's overall sales are in generics, but this figure continues to change. Don't assume that the stock's 100% jump over the past year is a one-and-done event. As the transformation continues, shares may be in for further earnings growth and price appreciation.
Teva and its spectacular comeback
In 2024, when generic drugs made up over 57% of Teva's overall sales, the company reported $16.5 billion in sales; adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of $4.8 billion; and non-GAAP (adjusted) earnings of $2.49 per share. A year later, generic drugs accounted for just half of Teva's overall sales, and the further increase in branded drug sales led to solid improvements in profitability.
While overall sales increased by just 5%, to $17.3 billion, adjusted EBITDA and non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) increased by 12% and 19%, respectively, during 2025. Furthermore, Teva reported strong sales figures for its flagship branded drug, Austedo, a treatment for certain Huntington's disease symptoms, as well as for its two up-and-coming branded drug products, Uzedy, a treatment for schizophrenia, and Ajovy, a therapy for migraine prevention. Last year, their sales were up 34%, 63%, and 30%, respectively.
In its latest earnings report, Teva reported sales growth for Austedo, Uzedy, and Ajovy of 41%, 62%, and 35%, respectively, as well as reiterated revenue outlook for each of the three branded drugs. The company also continued to use its cash flow to pay down debt. Over the past four years, net debt has decreased by over $5.5 billion, from $18.4 billion as of Dec. 31, 2022, to $12.9 billion as of March 31, 2026.
Why this hot pharma stock may have more room to run
Don't expect things to slow down from here. If anything, Teva's transformation is gaining momentum. Analyst forecasts call for EPS to grow by around 30.8% during 2027. Earnings growth could stay elevated, even if Austedo, Ajovy, and Uzedy sales start to peak. Progress in bringing more of its pipeline candidates to market could help sustain organic growth.
Outside of organic growth, Teva has other avenues to improve earnings. A recent deal to acquire Emalex Biosciences for $700 million adds yet another potential blockbuster drug, ecopipam, to Teva's portfolio. Ecopipam is a Tourette syndrome treatment, and is close to the regulatory finishing line. Other efforts, such as further debt reduction, could also move the needle on Teva's continued high earnings growth.
Even if the stock merely maintains its current valuation of 14.7 times forward earnings, and shares rise in line with earnings growth, this could produce another strong run. As shares sit just a few dollars below multiyear highs, consider Teva one of the best pharmaceutical stocks to buy and hold.
