Netflix's next act
Netflix is spinning many new ideas these days. Some will surely be hits, others may be duds, but it's important to keep the innovative engines running. And a few experiments have already delivered some legit business results for Netflix.
Ads: A second engine, not just snackable revenue
After years of "no ads, no way," Netflix found a way: a lower-priced ad tier that's scaling quickly. Two monetization levers per subscriber (sub + ads) could lift the ad-tier's sales and profitability over time. Ad targeting, measurement, and quality should improve as Netflix gets comfortable with ad sales.
Think of it like adding another lane to a busy freeway -- same destination, faster throughput. Execution matters, but the early demand signals suggest advertisers want in, and Netflix has the content to keep them there.
KPop Demon Hunters didn't just stream; it charted and smashed records. The film has become a cultural moment with incredible soundtrack success and a character-driven costume craze. That's a blueprint: original music becomes marketing that pays you back, with touring tie-ins, licensing, and social virality turbocharging the next season or spinoff. When a chorus gets stuck in your head, it tends to drag a lot of viewing hours with it. And you can bet that Netflix will build a multi-movie franchise around this Korean-American phenomenon.
Experiences and retail: Fandom you can touch
"Netflix House" locations are slated for Philadelphia and Dallas this year, with the Las Vegas Strip on deck for 2027. Add a co-branded MGM Grand dining experience and toy partners Mattel (NASDAQ: MAT) and Hasbro (NASDAQ: HAS) -- sparked by the KPop Demon Hunters fever -- and you've got a flywheel that turns hits into habits.
These are partner-led models more than theme-park builds, so the capital bill is lighter while the brand impact can be heavy. In plain English: people will buy a ticket, a T-shirt, and a plate of chimichangas if the world is compelling enough.
Games: From retention to revenue
Today, games are a free add-on to Netflix's video-streaming service. Tomorrow, a genuine business model should emerge -- whether that's a premium tier, a switch to in-app purchases, cloud/interactive events, or curated premium releases tied to major franchises. There has to be a way to make serious money from Netflix's growing portfolio of video games.
The strategic upside isn't just dollars; it's deeper engagement that makes shows stickier and merch more desirable. It's easier to sell a car after someone has taken it for a test drive. Playing around inside fictional worlds can serve the same purpose.
Audio is the low-cost, high-engagement wingman for big shows and films. Spotify (NYSE: SPOT) is already on board with a multi-year podcast partnership and talks are reportedly underway with Sirius XM (NASDAQ: SIRI) and iHeartMedia (NASDAQ: IHRT). Netflix can extend its worlds into commutes and workouts, monetize with sponsorships, and funnel listeners back to the screen. It's the bonus episode your ears can binge, and the podcast producers get access to a global platform with multimedia features. Win-win-win.
Why this matters for investors
This mix of fresh ideas and throwbacks gives Netflix more ways to grow and profit. Subscriptions, ads, experiences, consumer products, games, music, and podcasts create multiple shots on goal. The company can miss with one and score with another.
Partner-led experiences and licensing can also be margin-friendly. Ad sales scale well in the long run, as long as Netflix keeps offering a large, loyal, and deeply engaged ad-viewing audience. Games and music can monetize existing video-based intellectual properties instead of starting from scratch.
The diverse approach gives Netflix a stronger business moat, too. Fandom that spills into the real world reduces churn and increases the company's pricing power. When your favorite show is also your weekend plan, you keep the subscription active. You know how Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS) builds world-class theme parks around its animated worlds and characters? Netflix is borrowing entire chapters from Disney's proven playbook.
Management has shown it can pivot when the opportunity is big enough -- from DVDs to streaming, then the password-sharing crackdown, and now cross-format content with audio, video, games, and lunch boxes. That adaptability is an asset.
What I'm watching, other than "Stranger Thngs" and "KPop"
Serious Netflix investors have a lot of interesting stuff to watch, without even touching that smart TV remote. For example:
Can Netflix boost its subscriber counts while also lifting the average revenue per user (ARPU) -- all with the help of ad-subsidized subscriptions?
Will the company benefit from partner-driven real-world experiences like Netflix House and the MGM Grand dining residency? The company must work out an effective balance between low-cost royalty deals and fully owned experiences.
There's the toy sell-through trend and (hopefully) a predictable cadence of new toy-worthy hits.
Will the monetized gaming service be as controversial as the media-streaming business idea was in 2011? Will it be as successful?
Netflix in 2030 won't look the same
I could go on, but you get the drift. The Netflix of 2030 will look very different from the pure-play video streaming giant you see today. That's how you keep a culture-changing growth story relevant in the long run -- never hesitate to change with the times, and to take the lead in some of the industry shifts.
The point is simple: I expect Netflix to keep growing and changing through 2030 as it turns compelling stories into compelling businesses. That's a program I'm happy to back. And I certainly don't mind paying more than 10% less for Netflix shares after October's sudden retreat.

(RTTNews) - Mattel Inc. (MAT) announced the pricing of its underwritten public offering of $600 million aggregate principal amount of 5.000% Senior Notes due 2030. The Notes will be senior, unsecured obligations of the Company and will mature on November 17, 2030.
The Offering is expected to close on or about November 17, 2025.
The company intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering, together with cash on hand, to redeem all of its outstanding 3.375% Senior Notes due 2026, and to pay related fees and expenses. Mattel Prices Public Offering Of $600 Mln Of 5.000% Senior Notes Due 2030

Marriott International, Inc. MAR reported third-quarter 2025 results, with adjusted earnings and revenues beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate. Its earnings beat the estimate for the fourth straight quarter. Both metrics increased on a year-over-year basis.
Following the results, the stock surged 0.5% in today’s pre-market trading session.
The company delivered strong performance in the quarter, supported by solid rooms growth, profit gains and continued development momentum. Global revenue per available room improved slightly, led by strength in international markets. The Asia Pacific region performed well, driven by healthy travel demand in Japan, Australia and Vietnam. The luxury segment continued to outperform, supported by strong rates and sustained demand. The company’s broad portfolio, spanning from midscale to luxury brands and including extended stay and unique lodging offerings, continued to attract strong owner preference.
Development activity remained robust, with record year-to-date signings and steady progress in conversions. Conversions accounted for a meaningful portion of new additions, highlighting continued interest from owners and franchise partners. With consistent execution and growing global demand, the company remains on track to achieve healthy net rooms growth of 5% for 2025 and maintain mid-single-digit expansion over the next few years.
MAR’s Q3 Earnings & Revenue Discussion
Marriott’s adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.47 beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.41. It reported adjusted earnings of $2.26 per share in the prior-year quarter.
Quarterly revenues of $6,489 million beat the consensus mark of $6,454 million. The top line moved up 4% on a year-over-year basis.
Marriott International, Inc. Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Revenues from Base management and Franchise fees were $314 million and $876 million, respectively, up 1% and 8% year over year. We estimated the metrics to be $314.9 million and $865.3 million, respectively.
However, Incentive management fees decreased of 7% year over year to $148 million. We expected the metric to be $144.2 million.
MAR’s RevPAR & Margins
RevPAR for worldwide comparable system-wide properties rose 0.5% (in constant dollars) year over year. This upside was backed by a 0.9% increase in average daily rate (“ADR”), offset by a 0.3% fall in occupancy year over year.
Comparable system-wide RevPAR in the Asia Pacific (excluding China) increased 4.7% (in constant dollars) year over year. Occupancy moved up 1.2% year over year, while ADR rose 3%. Comparable system-wide RevPAR in Greater China remained flat year over year.
On a constant-dollar basis, international comparable system-wide RevPAR increased 2.6% year over year. Occupancy and ADR gained 0.8% and 1.4%, respectively, year over year. Comparable system-wide RevPAR in Europe gained 0.8% year over year. RevPAR in the Caribbean & Latin America and the Middle East & Africa rose 2.8% and 8.7%, respectively, year over year.
Total expenses remained almost flat year over year at $5.31 billion. Our estimate was pegged at $5.41 billion.
Adjusted EBITDA amounted to $1.35 billion compared with $1.23 billion reported in the prior-year quarter. We predicted the metric to be $1.32 billion.
Balance Sheet of MAR
At the third-quarter end, Marriott's total debt was $16 billion compared with $15.7 billion reported in the prior quarter. Cash and cash equivalents, as of Sept. 30, 2025, were $0.7 billion compared with $0.4 billion as of 2024-end.
Year to date (through Sept. 30, 2025), the company repurchased 9.7 million shares worth $2.6 billion.
MAR’s Unit Developments
At the end of the third quarter, Marriott's worldwide development pipeline totaled 3,923 hotels. As of the quarter's end, about 1,536 properties with more than 250,000 rooms were under construction.
Marriott’s Q4 & 2025 Outlook
For the fourth quarter, management anticipates gross fee revenues in the range of $1.382-$1.402 billion. General and administrative expenses are anticipated in the range of $251-$261 million. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be between $1.371 billion and $1.401 billion. MAR estimates fourth-quarter EPS to be between $2.54 and $2.62. The company predicts worldwide system-wide RevPAR year-over-year growth to be 1-2% in the fourth quarter.
The company still expects worldwide system-wide RevPAR to increase 1.5-2.5% year over year in 2025.
For 2025, Marriott now expects its gross fee revenues to be $5.395-$5.415 billion compared with the prior expected range of $5.365-$5.420 billion. General and administrative expenses are anticipated in the range of $975-$985 million compared with the prior expected range of $965-$985 million.
Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be between $5.352 billion and $5.382 billion compared with the previous expectation of $5.310-$5.395 billion. The company now envisions 2025 EPS in the band of $9.98-$10.06 compared with the prior expectation of $9.85-$10.09.

Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. HLT reported third-quarter 2025 results, wherein earnings and revenues surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The top and bottom lines increased on a year-over-year basis.
Hilton’s results were supported by its resilient business model, which delivered strong bottom-line performance despite softer RevPAR trends. Growth was driven by a robust development pipeline, increased construction starts and strong demand for brand conversions. Global expansion and sustained net unit growth momentum further reinforced Hilton’s performance and outlook confidence.
Hasbro, Inc. HAS reported third-quarter fiscal 2025 results, with earnings and revenues beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The top line increased year over year, while the bottom line declined from the prior-year quarter’s figure. The downside was mainly due to weaker contributions from the Consumer Products segment.
Nonetheless, Hasbro raised its full-year revenue and adjusted EBITDA guidance. The update was supported by strong performance in the Wizards segment, along with steady contributions from the games portfolio, licensing partnerships and execution of the “Playing to Win” strategy. Despite ongoing macroeconomic challenges, Hasbro expects cost efficiency measures and business diversification to support its growth plans for 2025 and beyond.
Mattel, Inc. MAT reported third-quarter 2025 results, with both earnings and revenues missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The top and bottom lines also fell year over year from the prior-year quarter’s figure.
Mattel delivered a soft performance in the quarter, likely impacted by global trade dynamics, shifting retailer ordering patterns across the industry and ongoing uncertainty surrounding tariff conditions. Key segments such as Barbie and Fisher-Price continued to face headwinds, resulting in lower gross billings. Despite these challenges, point-of-sale momentum remains positive both in the U.S. and international markets. Mattel has reiterated its full-year guidance for 2025.

There's also been a renaissance in stock splits. A growing number of investor-favorite stocks are splitting their shares, which is historically preceded by strong operating and financial metrics. As a result, investors are taking a renewed look at these stock-split stocks. One such company is Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX). The streaming video stock has surged 932% over the past decade (as of this writing) and 48% over the past year, prompting manangemet to announce a 10-for-1 forward stock split, scheduled for later this month. Evidence suggests the company's impressive run will continue into 2026. Here's why.
The leader of the pack
It wasn't terribly long ago that market watchers were making dire predictions about Netflix's future. Streaming competitors, including Disney+, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Peacock by Comcast, were being offered up as "Netflix killers," and investors were justifiably concerned. However, the reality turned out to be much different.
Netflix took more than a decade and an estimated $135 billion to build out its content library, burning cash and amassing debt in order to do so. Many on Wall Street doubted that Netflix would ever be cash flow positive and profitable, and it took more than 10 years to prove the bears wrong.
Rivals thought it would be quick and easy to vanquish Netflix and steal its crown, but conquering the streaming market proved harder than it looked. One by one, Netflix's would-be rivals scaled back their ambitions as pressure from Wall Street and Main Street mounted for these streaming wannabes to focus on profitability.
Catalysts for future growth
A report emerged earlier this year that laid out Netflix's ambitious plans to grow its content library, increase its global expansion, and expand the reach of its ad-supported tier, predicting dramatic results by 2030, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal:
Double revenue from $39 billion to $78 billion within five years.
Earn $9 billion in global ad revenue by 2030, up more than fourfold from an estimated $2.15 billion.
Increase its subscriber count to 410 million, up from roughly 302 million in 2024.
Earn a $1 trillion market cap by 2030.
While those goals might seem ambitious, Netflix has a track record of proving doubters wrong.
One example of how the company can achieve these goals stands out. The Netflix original movie KPop Demon Hunters has become nothing short of a global phenomenon. Consider some of the blockbusters' most notable achievements:
Most-watched Netflix film ever.
First Netflix film to reach No. 1 at the box office (during its limited release).
The soundtrack hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The first soundtrack ever to have four simultaneous songs in the Billboard Hot 100's Top 10.
The hit song Golden spent six weeks at No.1.
Sparked a groundbreaking licensing deal with Hasbro and Mattel to create toys and games based on the hit movie.
To be clear, this isn't Netflix's first runaway smash hit. Let's not forget blockbuster fan favorites like Squid Game, Stranger Things, Wednesday, The Witcher, and Bridgerton, which have all spawned multiple seasons, creating opportunities to develop additional revenue streams through product placement, experiences, and merchandising.
The number tell a tale
Netflix's results tell a compelling story. For the third quarter, Netflix generated revenue that increased 17% to $11.5 billion, driving its earnings per share (EPS) up 9% to $5.87; however, the results have an asterisk. The company has an ongoing dispute with Brazilian tax authorities and took a one-time charge of $619 million while the issue plays out. If not for a one-time charge related to a disputed Brazilian tax assessment, profits would have increased by 27%.
Management expects the company's growth spurt to continue. Netflix is guiding for Q4 revenue of $11.96 billion, up 17% and EPS to rise 28% to $5.45.
Wall Street is equally bullish. Analysts' consensus estimates are calling for revenue to grow 15% to $45 billion and EPS to climb 28% to $25.30. Furthermore, Netflix's operating margin continues to expand, and management expects it to surpass 29.3% in 2025, up from 26.7% last year. This illustrates that the company is becoming even more profitable. Finally, the upcoming stock split is expected to increase accessibility for a broader range of investors.
Netflix is currently trading for 34 times next year's expected earnings, which might seem an expensive for a streaming video business. However, the premium valuation is justified by the company's industry-leading position, increasing global audience, ambitious plans for growth, and expanding profitability. This shows why Netflix is well-positioned to continue its winning streak into 2026.

For example, co-founder and former CEO Reed Hastings long rejected the idea of adding a lower-cost advertising-supported tier, saying it would be too complicated to offer both options to customers. Eventually, he came around to the idea in 2022 after the company had reported two straight quarters of subscriber declines, and after ad-supported tiers had been embraced by most of its streaming competitors.
Netflix also resisted screening its movies in theaters, which it typically does only to qualify for awards. And it has also begun to experiment with live events recently.
Similarly, the company has been less adept than its peers at monetizing its content beyond the small screen. But that could be about to change: Netflix just signed deals with Hasbro and Mattel to make a wide range of toys and consumer products based on its new blockbuster, KPop Demon Hunters. Let's take a look at two reasons why this could be huge.
KPop Demon Hunters is a mega-hit
It's hard to overstate the cultural juggernaut that KPop Demon Hunters has become. It's now the most viewed movie ever on Netflix, and it comes with the kinds of catchy songs, styles, and other touchstones that have previously made franchises like Frozen such massive cash cows for companies like Disney.
This is the first time Netflix has harnessed this kind of potential in children's entertainment, and it could lead to a new revenue stream in the billions of dollars.
By comparison, Disney is believed to have generated several billion dollars from Frozen merchandise, not to mention other franchises.
This could get the flywheel spinning
Disney has prospered in part because of the flywheel model in its business. A successful movie like Frozen or a new Star Wars release can then be monetized through merchandise sales, live experiences in its theme parks and elsewhere, and other products, keeping fans enmeshed in the Disney ecosystem, sometimes for life.
Netflix hasn't had much success building similar flywheels, but KPop Demon Hunters gives it its best opportunity yet. A sing-along version of the movie topped the theatrical box office in August with ticket sales of $18 million, even though it was available simultaneously on Netflix, showing the potential for the streamer to better monetize its content through movie theater showings.
Whatever happens, Netflix should get better at monetizing its intellectual properties, and KPop Demon Hunters could become the type of monster cash cow for Netflix that Frozen has been for Disney.

2 Reasons I'm Excited About Netflix's Recent Partnerships With Hasbro and Mattel

Netflix has made licensing deals with major toy companies related to a surprising hit movie.
A thorough look at its merchandising history, however, suggests this isn’t anything new.
Although not nearly the sort of lifestyle cross-selling brand that Walt Disney has built, there’s no denying that Netflix is seen as more than just another video entertainment platform.
Congratulations are in order for Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX). Its self-made KPop Demon Hunters movie released in June has been a massive hit for the streaming platform. It's technically Netflix's most successful film ever, in fact, racking up 325 million views in just the first three months it was available to subscribers.
And now toy makers Mattel (NASDAQ: MAT) and Hasbro (NASDAQ: HAS) are getting in on the craze. Mattel intends to manufacture a range of collectibles, figures, and more beginning next year, while Hasbro intends to focus on games and plush toys related to the wildly popular movie. Netflix appears to be as excited about the revenue prospects of these licensing agreements as Hasbro and Mattel are. And, maybe it should be.

It all raises an important question for current and would-be Netflix shareholders, though: Did Netflix just graduate from being a mere streaming middleman to being a full-blown media and entertainment powerhouse?
But first things first.
What the heck are KPop Demon Hunters?
It's not quite as crazy or macabre as the name suggests. The animated film follows the adventures of three Korean pop stars who -- when they're not performing on stage -- are busy using their special powers to fend off supernatural bad guys. Although the titular characters are in their 20s and the PG-rated movie isn't exactly suited for viewers under the age of 10, there's enough of a voracious crowd of tweens and teens that love the film enough to support sales of related branded merchandise.
It's still not exactly clear what made the flick such a hit. There's some speculation that the lack of any controversy with the making of the film is a key part of its success; being a foreign-made and foreign-focused film could have helped in this regard. Others suggest it's just a great movie that consumers have enjoyed being able to use as a way of escaping from the real world for a couple of hours.
What is clear is that Netflix didn't quite see this film becoming the massive hit that it is, spawning a sing-along theatrical rerelease of the movie that's in theaters now, as well as product licensing deals that won't actually have many (if any) related products on store shelves in time for the upcoming holiday shopping season.
Don't worry, though. Given Netflix's history, KPop isn't likely to be a one-off missed opportunity to cash in on a craze off-screen.
Not exactly new for Netflix
KPop Demon Hunters might be Netflix's biggest and best opportunity ever to monetize its owned intellectual property, but it's not as if the company hasn't done something similar before.
Case in point: Its hit series Stranger Things, which debuted in 2016, led to themed clothing, décor, cups, posters, and more. Its Squid Game series, along with Wednesday (the daughter in The Addams Family), has also spurred the creation of related merchandise.
Netflix isn't just leveraging its own intellectual property, though. It's also working with brands to help promote their goods as well. For instance, the aforementioned Mattel's Hot Wheels line of die-cast toy cars is featured in another animated Netflix series called Let's Race. These are cars that can be found wherever Hot Wheels toys are sold. Hasbro's Transformers are also featured in an original Netflix-made film trilogy called War for Cybertron.
Point being, licensing out its KPop Demon Hunters isn't exactly groundbreaking for the streaming giant.
All of it still underscores a bigger, more philosophical message about Netflix and its place within the media industry, though. That is, not unlike Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS), it's capable of creating its own brands and franchises, and then monetizing them in a myriad of ways.
OK. It's not reached Disney-like status in terms of licensing and branding; it's difficult to match the pull of properties that include everything from Snow White to Star Wars to Toy Story. It's doing reasonably well in this regard, though, particularly given that it doesn't have the same rich history of characters and film franchises that Walt Disney has at its disposal.
More to the point for interested investors, Netflix is arguably becoming more of a lifestyle company, with consumers increasingly willing to engage with its content in ways beyond merely streaming it. That's a pretty big deal in terms of cementing its place in consumers' lineup of streaming services ... something Warner Bros' HBO Max, Comcast's Peacock, and others haven't quite been able to do.
Underscoring this stickiness is recent data from media research outfit Hub Research indicating that, among all TV watchers within the United States, 19% of them first go to Netflix whenever they turn their televisions on. That's still well below cable TV's share of 32%, but it's well above next-nearest streaming platform Alphabet's YouTube's 11%. And the next-closest service that's actually comparable to Netflix (in that it's not free) is Disney's Hulu, but it's only the default service for 5% of the nation's television watchers.
Connect the dots. Netflix truly has worked its way into the fabric of our culture. It's doing pretty well overseas, too. This translates into real staying power for its revenue-bearing business.
Quality worth the premium price
Netflix stock isn't cheap, mind you. Even with their recent post-earnings stumble, Netflix shares remain richly priced at more than 40 times this year's projected earnings of $25.35, and over 30 times next year's expected bottom line.
Given its expected advertising-driven revenue growth of more than 15% this year and nearly 13% next year, however -- and 2026 earnings that should grow twice as much as its top line -- the price you're paying for a quality name that's likely to lead the streaming industry for a long, long time is a fair one. Sometimes you just have to pay for quality.
Or, perhaps it might be more meaningful to remind you that buying quality usually ends up paying for itself.

Mattel Breaks Below 200-Day Moving Average - Notable for MAT

MGM Resorts International MGM reported third-quarter 2025 results, with earnings missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate but revenues beating the same by a slight margin. The top line increased year over year, but the bottom line declined. Following the results, shares of MGM lost 3.8% after trading hours yesterday. The company’s quarterly results were driven by portfolio diversification, strategic partnerships and strong contributions from the BetMGM venture, regional operations and robust performance in Macau, which led to record third-quarter EBITDAR for the MGM China segment. BetMGM has raised its guidance twice this year, underscoring solid momentum. Growth in EBITDA across these areas was a key driver of overall performance, and MGM Resorts remains highly optimistic about future growth opportunities in Brazil and Dubai. However, Las Vegas continues to face challenges, though management remains focused on controllable factors and is well positioned to adapt, supported by the range and diversity of its luxury offerings. Over the long term, the company maintains a positive outlook, citing a balanced supply environment, a growing local population, expanding entertainment infrastructure and increasing demand for live entertainment and luxury experiences.
MGM Q3 Earnings & Revenue Details
MGM Resorts reported earnings per share (EPS) of 24 cents, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 37 cents. In the prior-year quarter, it reported an adjusted EPS of 54 cents.
MGM Resorts International Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Quarterly revenues of $4.25 billion topped the consensus mark of $4.22 billion by 0.8%. The top line increased 1.6% on a year-over-year basis. The upside was backed by strong contributions from MGM China, Regional Operations and MGM Digital. In the third quarter, consolidated adjusted EBITDA decreased 12% year over year to $505.8 million.
MGM China
During the third quarter, MGM China's net revenues increased 17% year over year to $1.1 billion. The upside was primarily driven by higher casino revenues, stemming from an increase in the main floor table games drop year over year. MGM China casino revenues were up 18% year over year to $947 million. MGM China's adjusted property earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and restructuring or rent costs (EBITDAR) amounted to $284 million, up from $237.4 million reported in the prior-year quarter.
Domestic Operations
Net revenues at Las Vegas Strip Resorts were $2 billion, down 7% year over year. The decrease was caused by a room remodel as well as a decrease in RevPAR, a decrease in table games win percentage, and a decrease in food and beverage revenues. Adjusted property EBITDAR declined 18% year over year to $610 million. Casino revenues were $450 million, down 5% year over year. Net revenues from Regional Operations totaled $956.9 million, up from $952.1 million reported in the prior-year quarter. The upside was primarily driven by an increase in casino revenues, supported by higher table games drop and slot handle. Adjusted property EBITDAR was approximately $295.5 million, down from $300 million reported in the prior-year quarter. Net revenues from MGM Digital totaled $174 million, up from $141.2 million reported in the prior-year quarter. The rise was primarily driven by organic growth and brand expansion.Adjusted property EBITDAR loss was approximately $23.2 million compared with $22.8 million reported in the prior-year quarter.
MGM’s Balance Sheet & Share Repurchase
MGM Resorts ended the third quarter with cash and cash equivalents of $2.13 billion compared with $2.42 billion at 2024-end. Long-term debt at the end of the quarter was $6.16 billion, down from $6.36 billion at 2024-end. In the third quarter of 2025, MGM Resorts took a loan of $300 million at a current interest rate of approximately 2.5%. The borrowed money will be used to support the MGM Osaka project.

Nonetheless, Hasbro raised its full-year revenue and adjusted EBITDA guidance. The update was supported by strong performance in the Wizards segment, along with steady contributions from the games portfolio, licensing partnerships and execution of the “Playing to Win” strategy. Despite ongoing macroeconomic challenges, Hasbro expects cost efficiency measures and business diversification to support its growth plans for 2025 and beyond. Mattel, Inc. MAT reported third-quarter 2025 results, with both earnings and revenues missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The top and bottom lines also fell year over year from the prior-year quarter’s figure. Mattel delivered a soft performance in the quarter, likely impacted by global trade dynamics, shifting retailer ordering patterns across the industry and ongoing uncertainty surrounding tariff conditions. Key segments such as Barbie and Fisher-Price continued to face headwinds, resulting in lower gross billings. Despite these challenges, point-of-sale momentum remains positive both in the U.S. and international markets. Mattel has reiterated its full-year guidance for 2025.
