The ProTax segment provides Lacerte, ProSeries, and ProFile desktop tax-preparation software products; and ProConnect Tax Online tax products, electronic tax filing service, and bank products and related services. It sells products and services through various sales and distribution channels, including multi-channel shop-and-buy experiences, websites and call centers, mobile application stores, and retail and other channels. The company was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Mountain View, California.

Intuit leverages its broad ecosystem, including QuickBooks, TurboTax, Credit Karma and Mailchimp, to build a comprehensive platform for consumers, small businesses and professionals. Meanwhile, BILL Holdings offers AI-driven accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) automation for SMBs.

The company also reported total online payment volume growth of 29%, including Bill Pay, which shows it is not just a software vendor but increasingly a payments and cash-flow platform too.
Intuit's consumer segment continues to power strong performance. Consumer revenues increased 15% to $1.5 billion, driven by Credit Karma revenue growth of 23% to $616 million and TurboTax growth of 12% to $581 million. For fiscal 2026, management expects Consumer Group revenue growth of 8-9%, including TurboTax at 8%, Credit Karma at 10-13% and ProTax at 2-3%.
Intuit maintains a disciplined capital distribution strategy, committed to boosting shareholder value via consistent dividend hikes and share repurchases. The company has increased its dividend five times over the past five years with a 15.61% annualized growth rate. Supported by strong operating fundamentals, we expect dividends to remain sustainable in the future. It also repurchased $961 million of stock in the second quarter of fiscal 2026 and plans to significantly accelerate repurchases this year, reflecting strong business momentum.
The company’s performance is partly tied to the health of small businesses, lending conditions and consumer tax filing dynamics. The competitive landscape in tax preparation and enterprise accounting exerts pricing pressure. The Case for BILL
BILL Holdings continues to solidify its position as a cornerstone of business payments, processing a robust $95 billion in total payment volume during the second quarter of fiscal 2026, a 13% year-over-year increase. The platform also handled 35 million transactions, surging 16%, which underscores its deepening integration into the daily financial workflows of SMBs. In the second quarter of fiscal 2026, the company reported core revenue, comprising subscription and transaction fees, rising 17% to $375.1 million. The company expects fiscal 2026 core revenues to increase 15% to 16%, which suggests the business is still moving in the right direction.
BILL is showing that product expansion is deepening customer value. In the second quarter of fiscal 2026, Spend & Expense revenues grew 24% to $166 million, card-linked payment volume increased 25%, and the number of businesses using AP, AR, and Spend & Expense together grew 28% year over year. That matters because multiproduct customers tend to be stickier and generate higher revenue per account, giving BILL a stronger base for compounding growth.
BILL is using partnerships and product upgrades to widen its network effect. In March 2026, BILL Holdings announced a partnership with Rillet, the AI-powered ERP, to simplify financial operations for growing businesses and accounting firms. As of Dec. 31, 2025, the company’s partners included more than 85 of the top 100 accounting firms and six of the top ten largest financial institutions for SMBs in the United States. On top of that, BILL’s April 2026 Supplier Payments Plus expansion added intelligent payment preferences and straight-through card processing that can help suppliers get paid up to about seven days faster.
However, BILL Holdings has its share of challenges. Challenging macroeconomic conditions and uncertainties, including inflation, currency exchange rates, supply chain and U.S. and foreign tariff rates, have impacted and are likely to continue to impact the company’s SMBs it serves. The company operates in the cloud-based software market, automating the financial back office, which is highly fragmented and competitive.

Intel rose more than +23% to a record high to lead chipmakers higher after forecasting Q2 revenue of $13.8 billion to $14.8 billion, well above expectations of $13.04 billion. The surge in Intel has reignited optimism over the economic potential of artificial intelligence for semiconductor manufacturers. Software stocks also rallied on Friday, adding to the bullish momentum.

Stocks added to their gains Friday amid optimism that the US and Iran are moving toward talks after days of deadlock. President Trump said he will send two envoys to Pakistan this weekend for talks with Iran, and the New York Times reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will meet with a US envoy in Islamabad on Saturday.
Stocks maintained their gains on Friday as bond yields fell, following the Department of Justice (DOJ) announcement that it was dropping its investigation into Fed Chair Powell over cost overruns in the Federal Reserve's renovation. The ending of the DOJ probe into Fed Chair Powell may now persuade Senator Tillis to drop his opposition to appointing Fed nominee Warsh as the next Fed Chair, as Tillis had vowed to block Warsh’s confirmation unless the DOJ investigation was dropped.
Friday’s US economic news was supportive of stocks. The University of Michigan US Apr consumer sentiment index was revised upward by +2.2 to 49.8, stronger than expectations of 48.5. The University of Michigan US Apr 1-year inflation expectations were revised downward by -0.1 to 4.7% from 4.8%. The Apr 5-10 year inflation expectations were revised upward by +0.1 to a 6-month high of 3.5% from 3.4%.
The US and Iran are locked in a battle for control of the Strait of Hormuz, with both sides blocking the waterway to gain leverage during an extended ceasefire. The US increased pressure on Iran with its naval blockade as it seeks to get Iran to agree to talks, while Israel and Lebanon are set to extend a ceasefire for three weeks.
WTI crude oil prices (CLM26) fell by more than -1% on Friday after Pakistani officials said a second round of US-Iran talks was expected. The Strait of Hormuz remains essentially closed, threatening to deepen the global energy crisis. The ongoing blockade could exacerbate global oil and fuel shortages, as about a fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas transits through the strait. Goldman Sachs estimates that crude output in the Persian Gulf has been curtailed by about 14.5 million bpd, or more than 50%, so far in April, and that the current disruption has drawn down nearly 500 million bbl from global crude stockpiles, which could hit a billion bbl by June.
Earnings season thus far has been supportive of stocks. As of Friday, 80% of the 139 S&P 500 companies that reported Q1 earnings have beaten estimates. Q1 S&P 500 earnings are projected to climb +12% y/y, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. Stripping out the technology sector, Q1 earnings are projected to increase around +3%, the weakest in two years.
The markets are discounting a 1% chance for a +25 bp FOMC rate hike at the April 28-29 policy meeting.
Overseas stock markets settled mixed on Friday. The Euro Stoxx 50 fell to a 2-week low and closed down -0.19%. China's Shanghai Composite closed down -0.33%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 closed up +0.97%.
Interest Rates
June 10-year T-notes (ZNM6) on Friday closed up +5.5 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield fell -2.0 bp to 4.304%. Jun T-notes recovered from early losses on Friday and moved higher, and the 10-year T-note yield fell from a 1.5-week high of 4.353% and moved lower. T-notes rebounded on Friday after WTI crude oil gave up a +1% advance and fell more than -1%, easing inflation concerns.
Gains in T-notes accelerated on Friday after the DOJ said it was dropping its investigation of Fed Chair Powell over building-renovation costs at the Federal Reserve. The ending of the investigation into Fed Chair Powell may persuade Senator Tillis to drop his opposition to appointing Fed nominee Warsh as the next Fed Chair, as Tillis had vowed to block Warsh’s confirmation unless the DOJ investigation was dropped. Speculation is that Mr. Warsh will take a more dovish tone to Fed policy than outgoing Fed Chair Powell.
European government bond yields moved lower on Friday. The 10-year German bund yield fell -1.5 bp to 2.994%. The 10-year UK gilt yield fell from a 4-week high of 4.993% and finished down by -2.7 bp to 4.912%.
The German Apr IFO business confidence index fell -1.9 to a nearly 6-year low of 84.4, weaker than expectations of 85.7.
ECB Governing Council member Peter Kazimir said the war in Iran might necessitate a slight increase in ECB interest rates.
UK Mar retail sales ex-autos rose +0.2% m/m, stronger than expectations of no change m/m.
Swaps are discounting a 9% chance of a +25 bp ECB rate hike at its next policy meeting on April 30.
US Stock Movers
Intel (INTC) closed up more than 23% to lead chip stocks higher and gainers in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 after forecasting Q2 revenue of $13.8 billion to $14.8 billion, well above expectations of $13.04 billion. Also, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and ARM Holdings Plc (ARM) closed up more than +13%, and Qualcomm (QCOM) closed up more than +11%. In addition, KLA Corp (KLAC) closed up more than +5%, and Nvidia (NVDA) closed up more than +4% to lead gainers in the Dow Jones Industrials. Finally, Lam Research (LRCX) and Micron Technology (MU) closed up more than +3%, and Applied Materials (AMAT) and ASML Holding NV (ASML) closed up more than +2%.
Software stocks rallied on Friday, helping support gains in the broader market. ServiceNow (NOW) closed up more than +6%, and Atlassian (TEAM) and Cadence Design Systems (CDNS) closed up more than +5%. Also, (WDAY) closed up more than +4%, and Intuit (INTU) closed up more than +3%. In addition, Microsoft (MSFT), Salesforce (CRM), Adobe Systems (ADBE), and Autodesk (ADSK) closed up more than +2%.
Organon & Co. (OGN) closed up more than +32% after the Economic Times reported that Sun Pharma is planning to submit a binding offer of $13 billion for the company.
Chemed Corp (CHE) closed up more than +10% after reporting Q1 adjusted EPS of $5.65, stronger than the consensus of $5.30.
Hims & Hers Health (HIMS) closed up more than +8% after JPMorgan Chase initiated coverage on the stock with a recommendation of overweight and a price target of $35.
Edwards Lifesciences (EW) closed up more than +5% after reporting Q1 adjusted EPS of 78 cents, better than the consensus of 73 cents.
Procter & Gamble (PG) closed up more than +2% after reporting Q3 net sales of $21.24 billion, above the consensus of $20.50 billion.

The US said it was waiting for a response from Iran before peace talks could restart, and Iran said it will not resume negotiations while a US naval blockade on its ports is in place. Stock losses accelerated on Thursday amid signs the war in Iran will persist after President Trump said a deal with Iran will only be made "when it's appropriate and good" for the US and its allies.

Stock index initially moved higher on Thursday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 posting new all-time highs amid a rally in chipmakers that boosted the broader market. Texas Instruments rose more than +19% to lead chipmakers higher after reporting strong earnings. Other positive earnings were also supportive of the market, with United Rentals up +22% and Comcast up more than +7% after reporting better-than-expected Q1 revenue. Also, Keurig Dr. Pepper rose more than +7% after reporting stronger-than-expected Q1 net sales.
The weakness in software stocks on Thursday was a negative factor for the broader market, with ServiceNow falling more than -17% after reporting disappointing earnings and saying the war in the Middle East has delayed some sales deals. Also, IBM fell more than -8% after reporting Q1 results that featured an underwhelming read for its software business.
Thursday’s US economic news was mixed for stocks. Weekly initial unemployment claims rose by +6,000 to 214,000, showing a weaker labor market than expectations of 210,000. Also, the Mar Chicago Fed national activity index fell -0.23 to a 4-month low of -0.20, weaker than expectations of -0.13. Conversely, the Apr S&P manufacturing PMI rose +1.7 to 54.0, stronger than expectations of 52.5 and the strongest level in nearly 4 years.
WTI crude oil prices (CLM26) rose more than +3% on Thursday as the Strait of Hormuz remains essentially closed, threatening to deepen the global energy crisis. Gains in crude oil accelerated on Thursday after Axios reported that Iran laid more mines in the Strait of Hormuz this week, and President Trump ordered the US Navy to "shoot and kill" any Iranian boats laying mines with "no hesitation." The ongoing blockade could exacerbate global oil and fuel shortages, as about a fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas transits through the strait.
Earnings season continues this week. So far, 81% of the 123 S&P 500 companies that reported Q1 earnings have beaten estimates. Q1 S&P 500 earnings are projected to climb +12% y/y, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. Stripping out the technology sector, Q1 earnings are projected to increase around +3%, the weakest in two years.

Jun T-notes fell to a 1.5-week low on Thursday, and the 10-year T-note yield rose to a 1.5-week high of 4.349%. Soaring crude oil prices on Thursday pushed inflation expectations higher and weighed on T-notes, as the 10-year breakeven inflation rate rose to a 5-week high of 2.429%. Losses in T-notes were limited after weekly US jobless claims rose more than expected, a dovish factor for Fed policy.
European government bond yields moved higher on Thursday. The 10-year German bund yield rose +0.1 bp to 3.009%. The 10-year UK gilt yield rose to a 3.5-week high of 4.973% and finished up by +2.9 bp to 4.939%.
The Eurozone Apr S&P manufacturing PMI unexpectedly rose +0.6 to 52.2, stronger than expectations of a decline to 50.9 and the fastest pace of expansion in nearly four years. However, the Apr composite PMI fell -2.1 to 48.6, weaker than expectations of 50.1 and the weakest level in 17 months.
Eurozone Mar new car registrations rose +12.5% y/y to 1.158 million units, the biggest increase in nearly two years.
The UK Apr S&P manufacturing PMI unexpectedly rose +2.6 to 53.6, stronger than expectations of a decline to 50.3 and the fastest pace of expansion in nearly four years.
Swaps are discounting a 9% chance of a +25 bp ECB rate hike at its next policy meeting on April 30.
US Stock Movers
ServiceNow (NOW) closed down more than -17% to lead software stocks lower and lead losers in the S&P 500 after cutting its full-year subscription adjusted gross margin forecast to 81.5% from 82%, weaker than the consensus of 82.1%. Also, Workday (WDAY) closed down more than -9% to lead losers in the Nasdaq 100, and Salesforce (CRM) closed down more than -8% to lead losers in the Dow Jones Industrials. In addition, IBM (IBM) and Atlassian (TEAM) closed down more than -8%, and Intuit (INTU), Adobe Systems (ADBE), and Autodesk (ADSK) closed down more than -6%. Finally, Oracle (ORCL) closed down more than -5%, and Microsoft (MSFT) closed down -4%.
Texas Instruments (TXN) closed up more than +19% to lead chipmakers higher and gainers in the Nasdaq 100 after reporting Q1 revenue of $4.83 billion, better than the consensus of $4.53 billion, and forecasting Q2 revenue of $5.00 billion to $5.40 billion, well above the consensus of $4.85 billion. Also, ON Semiconductor (ON) and Microchip Technology (MCHP) closed up more than +9%, and NXP Semiconductors NV (NXPI) closed up more th +6%. In addition, Analog Devices (ADI) and Marvell Technology (MRVL) closed up more than +5%, and ARM Holdings Plc (ARM) closed up more than +3%. Finally, Intel (INTC) closed up more than 2%.
ASGN Inc (ASGN) closed down more than -51% after reporting Q1 revenue of $968.3 million, below the consensus of $972.9 million, and forecasting Q2 revenue of $970 million to $1.00 billion, weaker than the consensus of $1.02 billion.
Medpace Holdings (MEDP) closed down more than -22% after forecasting full-year EPS of $16.68 to $17.50, the midpoint below the consensus of $17.12.
Lululemon Athletica (LULU) closed down more than -13% on disappointment with the naming of Heidi O’Neill as the new CEO, a surprise pick with no previous experience as a CEO.
Thermo Fisher Scientific (TMO) closed down more than -9% after reporting Q1 organic revenue growth of +1.00%, weaker than the consensus of +1.17%.
Las Vegas Sands (LVS) closed down more than -8% after raising its full-year capital expenditure forecast to $1.49 billion from a previous forecast of $1.33 billion, well above the consensus of $1.27 billion.

West Pharmaceutical Services (WST) closed up more than +12% after reporting Q1 net sales of $844.9 million, well above the consensus of $780.4 million, and raising its full-year net sales forecast to $3.30 billion-$3.35 billion from a previous estimate of $3.22 billion-$3.28 billion, better than the consensus of $3.25 billion.
Comcast (CMCSA) closed up more than +7% after reporting Q1 revenue of $31.46 billion, stronger than the consensus of $30.35 billion.
Keurig Dr. Pepper (KDP) closed up more than +7% after reporting Q1 net sales of $3.98 billion, above the consensus of $3.83 billion.
CSX Corp. (CSX) closed up more than +6% after reporting Q1 operating income of $1.25 billion, higher than the consensus of $1.14 billion.
Hasbro (HAS) closed up more than +6% after reporting preliminary Q1 net revenue of $970 million to $985 million, well above the consensus of $908.6 million.

Stocks Settle Lower on US-Iran Stalemate

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) today is up +0.07%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DOWI) (DIA) is up +0.05%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) is up +0.03%. June E-mini S&P futures (ESM26) are up +0.07%, and June E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQM26) are up +0.10%.
Stock indexes recovered from early losses today and are trading slightly higher as a rally in chipmakers gives the broader market a boost. Texas Instruments is up more than +16% to lead chipmakers higher after reporting strong earnings. Other positive earnings results are also liftin stocks, with United Rentals up +20% and Comcast up more than +7% after reporting better-than-expected Q1 revenue. Also, Keurig Dr. Pepper is up more than +6% after reporting stronger-than-expected Q1 net sales.

Stock indexes initially moved lower today as peace talks with Iran remain in limbo. The US and Iran are locked in a battle for control of the Strait of Hormuz, with both sides blocking the waterway to gain leverage during an extended ceasefire. The US said it was waiting for a response from Iran before peace talks could restart, and Iran said it will not resume negotiations while a US naval blockade on its ports is in place. Higher crude oil prices are raising inflation expectations and pushing bond yields higher, with the 10-year T-note yield climbing to a 1.5-week high of 4.34%.
The weakness in software stocks is also pressuring the broader market today, with ServiceNow down more than 16% after reporting disappointing earnings and saying the war in the Middle East has delayed some sales deals. Also, IBM is down more than -9% after reporting Q1 results that featured an underwhelming read for its software business.
Today’s US economic news was mixed for stocks. Weekly initial unemployment claims rose by +6,000 to 214,000, showing a weaker labor market than expectations of 210,000. Also, the Mar Chicago Fed national activity index fell -0.23 to a 4-month low of -0.20, weaker than expectations of -0.13. Conversely, the Apr S&P manufacturing PMI rose +1.7 to 54.0, stronger than expectations of 52.5 and the strongest level in nearly 4 years.
WTI crude oil prices (CLM26) are up nearly +1% today as the Strait of Hormuz remains essentially closed, threatening to deepen the global energy crisis. The blockade could exacerbate global oil and fuel shortages, as about a fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas transits through the strait.
Earnings season continues this week. So far, 79% of the 101 S&P 500 companies that reported Q1 earnings have beaten estimates. Q1 S&P 500 earnings are projected to climb +12% y/y, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. Stripping out the technology sector, Q1 earnings are projected to increase around +3%, the weakest in two years.
The markets are discounting a 1% chance for a +25 bp FOMC rate hike at the April 28-29 policy meeting.
Overseas stock markets are lower today. The Euro Stoxx 50 fell to a 2-week low and is down -0.05%. China's Shanghai Composite fell from a 1.25-month high and closed down -0.32%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 fell from a record high and closed down -0.75%.
Interest Rates
June 10-year T-notes (ZNM6) today are down -1 tick. The 10-year T-note yield is up +0.2 bp to 4.305%. Jun T-notes fell to a 1.5-week low today, and the 10-year T-note yield rose to a 1.5-week high of 4.337%. An increase in inflation expectations is weighing on T-notes, as the 10-year breakeven inflation rate rose to a 1-month high of 2.409% today. T-notes recovered most of their losses after weekly US jobless claims rose more than expected, a dovish factor for Fed policy.
European government bond yields are moving higher today. The 10-year German bund yield is up +0.5 bp to 3.013%. The 10-year UK gilt yield rose to a 3.5-week high of 4.973% and is up by +1.0 bp to 4.920%.
The Eurozone Apr S&P manufacturing PMI unexpectedly rose +0.6 to 52.2, stronger than expectations of a decline to 50.9 and the fastest pace of expansion in nearly four years. However, the Apr composite PMI fell -2.1 to 48.6, weaker than expectations of 50.1 and the weakest level in 17 months.
Eurozone Mar new car registrations rose +12.5% y/y to 1.158 million units, the biggest increase in nearly two years.
The UK Apr S&P manufacturing PMI unexpectedly rose +2.6 to 53.6, stronger than expectations of a decline to 50.3 and the fastest pace of expansion in nearly four years.
Swaps are discounting a 10% chance of a +25 bp ECB rate hike at its next policy meeting on April 30.
US Stock Movers
Texas Instruments (TXN) is up more than +16% to lead chipmakers higher and gainers in the Nasdaq 100 after reporting Q1 revenue of $4.83 billion, better than the consensus of $4.53 billion, and forecasting Q2 revenue of $5.00 billion to $5.40 billion, well above the consensus of $4.85 billion. Also, ON Semiconductor (ON) is up more than +9%, and Microchip Technology (MCHP) is up more than +7%. In addition, NXP Semiconductors NV (NXPI) and Analog Devices (ADI) are up more than +6% and Marvell Technology (MRVL) and ARM Holdings Plc (ARM) are more than +4%. Finally, Intel (INTC) is up more than 2%.
ServiceNow (NOW) is down more than -16% to lead software stocks lower and lead losers in the S&P 500 after cutting its full-year subscription adjusted gross margin forecast to 81.5% from 82%, weaker than the consensus of 82.1%. Also, IBM (IBM) is down more than -8% to lead losers in the Dow Jones Industrials, and Workday (WDAY) is down more than -8% to lead losers in the Nasdaq 100. In addition, Atlassian (TEAM) is also down more than -11%, and Salesforce (CRM) is down more than -8%. Finally, Intuit (INTU) and Adobe Systems (ADBE) are down more than -7%, Autodesk (ADSK) is down more than -6%, and Oracle (ORCL) is down more than -4%.

Las Vegas Sands (LVS) is down more than -8% after raising its full-year capital expenditure forecast to $1.49 billion from a previous forecast of $1.33 billion, well above the consensus of $1.27 billion.
Tesla (TSLA) is down more than -2% after boosting its full-year capital expenditure to more than $25 billion to support its push into AI and robotics.
