The ProTax segment provides Lacerte, ProSeries, and ProFile desktop tax-preparation software products; and ProConnect Tax Online tax products, electronic tax filing service, and bank products and related services. It sells products and services through various sales and distribution channels, including multi-channel shop-and-buy experiences, websites and call centers, mobile application stores, and retail and other channels. The company was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Mountain View, California.

Intuit Partners With Aprio to Boost Mid-Market Business Growth

Upstart Holdings UPST is broadening its reach well beyond personal loans, using its AI-powered lending platform to tap new segments like auto loans, home equity and small-dollar credit. In the second quarter of 2025, these newer businesses collectively drove nearly 20% of new borrowers on the Upstart platform, highlighting how diversification has become central to Upstart’s next growth phase. The expansion comes as the company more than doubled its revenues year over year and achieved GAAP profitability earlier than anticipated.
Auto lending remains a key driver, with originations jumping 87% sequentially to $114 million in the second quarter of 20255. The company’s Auto Retail software, now gaining significant traction with car dealerships, is fueling that growth. A sharper focus on simplifying financing has accelerated adoption, leading to rising volumes of dealer-driven loan requests and finalized agreements.
The home equity segment is also scaling rapidly, with originations up nearly ninefold year over year to $68 million. A breakthrough in instant property verification now enables borrowers to complete ownership and income checks in under a minute, demonstrating how Upstart’s automation capabilities are redefining the traditionally slow HELOC process.
Small-dollar “relief” loans add another leg to growth, climbing 40% sequentially as Upstart tests its AI models across a broader borrower base. The company’s latest underwriting model, Model 22, improved accuracy and conversion, providing a foundation for these new verticals.
To sustain this diversification, Upstart aims to move most Auto and Home loans off its balance sheet by late 2025, supported by third-party funding and strong partnerships with banks and credit unions.
Diversification at Other Fintechs: PayPal and Intuit
PayPal PYPL has steadily diversified its revenues beyond peer-to-peer payments by expanding into merchant solutions, digital wallets, and consumer credit through PayPal Credit and Pay Later. Moreover, the PYUSD stablecoin and crypto payment options position PayPal for emerging digital commerce trends.
Meanwhile, Intuit INTU has evolved from tax and accounting software into a full financial ecosystem. Its Credit Karma unit drives consumer finance insights, while Mailchimp extends its reach into marketing automation for small businesses. Both PayPal and Intuit mirror Upstart’s strategy of broadening their core capabilities to strengthen platform engagement and reduce reliance on any single revenue source.

Advanced Micro Devices
When you think of a top AI chipmaker to invest in, odds are you're thinking about Nvidia, which is the most valuable company in the world. But a potentially better growth stock to consider is Advanced Micro Devices, better known as just AMD. It's a fraction of the size of Nvidia and it's still in the early stages of growing its AI chip business.
The company recently announced a multiyear agreement with ChatGPT-maker OpenAI that will involve the deployment of 6 gigawatts worth of AMD GPUs. AMD has been working closely with OpenAI in the past and management projects that its partnership will result in "tens of billions of dollars in revenue."
AMD's growth rate has been strong of late, with sales rising at a rate of 32% in its most recent period (ended on June 28), totaling $7.7 billion. And CEO Lisa Su anticipates "significant growth" in second half as the company rolls out its latest products, including its Instinct MI350 accelerators.
This is an underrated growth stock to own, because while AMD trades at a P/E of more than 100, its forward P/E multiple, which is based on analyst expectations of future earnings, falls to around 29. Given its vital role in AI development, AMD's stock could have massive potential to become much more valuable in the future.
Intuit
A less flashy AI investment is Intuit, which is a provider of financial software, including QuickBooks and TurboTax. Intuit is incorporating generative AI into its software to provide users with a financial assistant that can give personalized recommendations.
Intuit recently wrapped up a stellar fiscal year, which finished on July 31. Revenue of $18.8 billion rose by 16% year over year and earnings grew by 31% to $3.9 billion. Customers rely on its trusted software titles, making them staples in businesses throughout the country. Given the complexities of the tax code and all the accounting rules to sift through, there is tremendous opportunity for Intuit to help add efficiency for businesses with AI, leading to more growth potential in the future.
At a P/E multiple of 50, you might be spooked by Intuit's seemingly high price. But its forward P/E of less than 30 suggests it's a much better value buy.
Workday
Rounding out this list is Workday, an automation company that has considerable growth opportunities to tap into in the future as a result of AI. It's utilizing AI agents as a way to help automate things like payroll input, audit evidence collection, and recommending business process improvements.
It also recently announced the acquisition of Sana for $1.1 billion. The company helps create AI agents to automate tasks. One of the things Workday's customers will be able to use Sana for is to help automate performance reviews. This comes after Workday recently bought Paradox, which is another AI company. Its software uses automation to help hire and onboard employees.
Workday's revenue for the quarter ending July 31 totaled $2.3 billion and rose by 13% year over year. But with more opportunities related to AI agents and automation, its growth rate may potentially accelerate in the future.
The stock looks massively overpriced, trading at over 100 times its trailing earnings. But non-recurring restructuring charges in an earlier period have impacted the multiple considerably. Workday's forward P/E of 22 puts into light just how attractively valued the tech stock truly is.

Shareholders of Intuit Inc (Symbol: INTU) looking to boost their income beyond the stock's 0.7% annualized dividend yield can sell the January 2028 covered call at the $980 strike and collect the premium based on the $40.00 bid, which annualizes to an additional 2.6% rate of return against the current stock price (at Stock Options Channel we call this the YieldBoost), for a total of 3.4% annualized rate in the scenario where the stock is not called away. Any upside above $980 would be lost if the stock rises there and is called away, but INTU shares would have to advance 48.4% from current levels for that to happen, meaning that in the scenario where the stock is called, the shareholder has earned a 54.5% return from this trading level, in addition to any dividends collected before the stock was called.

Ex-Dividend Reminder: Kite Realty Group Trust, Oracle and Intuit

It has been about a month since the last earnings report for Salesforce.com (CRM). Shares have lost about 2.1% in that time frame, underperforming the S&P 500.
But investors have to be wondering, will the recent negative trend continue leading up to its next earnings release, or is Salesforce.com due for a breakout? Well, first let's take a quick look at its most recent earnings report in order to get a better handle on the recent drivers for Salesforce Inc. before we dive into how investors and analysts have reacted as of late.
Salesforce Q2 Earnings Surpass Estimates, Revenues Rise Y/Y
Salesforce reported second-quarter fiscal 2026 non-GAAP earnings of $2.91 per share, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 5.1%. The bottom line improved 13.7% year over year.
The growth in top and bottom lines reflected the benefits of CRM’s go-to-market strategy and sustained focus on customer success. The initiatives to integrate generative artificial intelligence (AI) into its offerings also boosted demand for Salesforce’s solutions during the reported quarter.
Salesforce Q2 Performance in Detail
Coming to CRM’s business segments, revenues from Subscription and Support (94.8% of total revenues) increased 11% year over year to $9.7 billion. Professional Services and Other (5.2% of total sales) revenues declined 3% to $546 million. Our estimates for Subscription and Support, and Professional Services and Other segments’ revenues were pegged at $9.6 billion and $546 million, respectively.
Under the Subscription and Support segment, Sales Cloud revenues grew 8% year over year to $2.3 billion. Revenues from Service Cloud increased 8% to $2.5 billion. Marketing & Commerce Cloud revenues rose 3% to $1.4 billion. Platform & Other revenues were up 16% to $2.1 billion. The Integration and Analytics division (which includes MuleSoft, Tableau, and Slack contributions) recorded 12% year-over-year growth to $1.5 billion.
Our estimates for Sales, Service, Market & Commerce, Platform & Other, and Integration & Analytics services revenues were pegged at $2.28 billion, $2.48 billion, $1.4 billion, $1.99 billion and $1.45 billion, respectively.
Revenues from the Americas (65.5% of total revenues) increased 9% year over year to $6.74 billion. Sales in EMEA (23.5%) grew 7% to $2.4 billion, while the Asia Pacific (11%) region’s revenues rose 11% to $1.1 billion.
Non-GAAP operating income was $3.51 billion, up 12% from the year-ago quarter’s $3.14 billion. Moreover, the non-GAAP operating margin expanded 60 bps to 34.3%, while the GAAP operating margin improved to 22.8%.
Salesforce’s Balance Sheet & Other Details
Salesforce exited the fiscal second quarter with cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of $15.37 billion, down from $17.41 billion at the end of the previous quarter. CRM generated an operating cash flow of $605 million and a free cash flow of $740 million, reflecting typical seasonality in collections.
As of July 31, the current remaining performance obligation (cRPO) stood at $29.4 billion, up 11% year over year. The company returned $2.6 billion to shareholders, including $2.2 billion in share repurchases and $399 million in dividends, and expanded its repurchase program by $20 billion, bringing total authorization to $50 billion.
Salesforce’s Guidance for Q3 & FY26
Salesforce provided guidance for the third quarter of fiscal 2026. It projects total sales between $10.24 billion and $10.29 billion, which indicates 8-9% growth from the year-ago level. The company expects non-GAAP earnings per share in the band of $2.84-$2.86, while GAAP EPS is anticipated to be between $1.60 and $1.62. The cRPO growth is projected to be slightly above 10% year over year.
For fiscal 2026, Salesforce now expects revenues in the range of $41.1-$41.3 billion, up 8.5-9% year over year, compared with the prior guidance of $41.0-$41.3 billion. Subscription and Support revenues are expected to increase approximately 9.5% year over year. The company now anticipates fiscal 2026 non-GAAP earnings per share in the range of $11.33-$11.37, slightly higher than the previous forecast of $11.27-$11.33.
Non-GAAP operating margin is projected to expand to 34.1%, while GAAP operating margin is expected to be 21.2%. Salesforce raised its forecast for operating cash flow growth to 12-13% year over year from the previous guidance of 10-11%. The company expects free cash flow growth to be in the range of 12-13% year over year, up from the previous guidance of 9-10%.
