The Technologies segment provides information technology solutions and mission support services; mobile communication, computers, and command-and-control mission systems; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions to military, intelligence, and federal civilian customers; cloud computing, artificial intelligence; machine learning; big data analytics; development, security, and operations; and unmanned undersea vehicle manufacturing and assembly services. And while prediction markets have yet to prove they'll be a durable trend, artificial intelligence (AI) has certainly proved it has staying power.
And one of the most interesting AI companies is Palantir (NASDAQ: PLTR), which is a unique hybrid of an AI tech company and a defense contractor.
Revolutionizing information warfare
Palantir is proof positive that one of the most effective weapons a military can have is information.
Its Gotham platform connects everything on a battlefield that a commander might want to see from a bodycam worn by an individual soldier to a satellite orbiting overhead. It helps to remove some of the fog of war and allow for clearer decision-making.
Gotham is a large part of why the U.S. government is Palantir's single largest customer, making up $1.85 billion of the $4.48 billion in revenue the company generated in 2025.
Last year also saw Palantir's U.S. government revenue grow 55% over 2024 and its total revenue grow 56% over the same period.
But Palantir is also a commercial AI company, and its AIP platform allows companies to use Palantir's powerful programs to optimize their businesses in the same way it has allowed generals to optimize their operations.
Revolutionizing information, period
AIP users can see all their operations across their business in one place and set up AI applications to automate as much as possible. The government also makes use of AIP, but so do Lowe's and Lockheed Martin, among others.
It's no wonder why Palantir is growing as quickly as it is if you look at the results its software can generate.
By using AIP, General Dynamics reduced the time it took to plan its submarine schedule from 160 hours to 10 minutes. The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard reduced its material review time frame from weeks to under one hour.
Information, as it turns out, is just as effective a tool as it is a weapon.
And the power to use that tool is a profitable product to sell. Aside from its incredible revenue growth, Palantir also operates a net profit margin of 36.5% and has a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.03%.
For 2026, it's anticipating even more incredible growth. For the full year, Palantir has set guidance of $7.182 to $7.198 billion, which would represent 60% growth over 2025's number.
Now, it must be noted that Palantir is trading at a price to earnings (P/E) ratio of 248 right now which is very high. However, when you factor in growth, expressed in its projected future earnings, you get Palantir's price to earnings to growth (PEG) ratio which is 3.49 at present.
That's above the ideal, which is 1. That said, this valuation is still lower than the 5+ PEG ratio the company has maintained since 2024. The valuation is a concern, but one that's mitigated by Palantir's growth rate and overall strong fundamentals. However, if its growth stalls Palantir begins to look even more overvalued.

General Dynamics announced today that its board of directors has declared a regular quarterly dividend of $1.59 per share on the company's common stock, payable May 8, 2026, to shareholders of record on April 10, 2026.
At its March meeting, the Casey's General Stores Board of Directors approved a quarterly dividend of $0.57 per share. The dividend is payable May 15, 2026, to shareholders of record on May 1, 2026.
The HPE Board of Directors declared a regular cash dividend of $0.1425 per share on the company's common stock, payable on or about April 23, 2026, to stockholders of record as of the close of business on March 24, 2026.

During the fourth quarter of 2025, the Boeing Defense, Space & Security unit booked $15 billion in orders, including contracts for 15 KC-46A tankers from the U.S. Air Force and 96 Apaches from Poland, which resulted in a solid backlog amount of $85 billion for this segment as of Dec. 31, 2025. Such solid contract wins and subsequent backlog count should continue to bolster the BDS unit’s revenues, which registered solid year-over-year growth of 37% in the fourth quarter.
In February 2026, Boeing and Sun PhuQuoc Airways announced that the new Vietnam-based carrier had ordered up to 40 787 Dreamliner jets to serve as the backbone of its widebody fleet. The deal strengthens Boeing’s presence in Southeast Asia, one of the fastest-growing aviation markets, while potentially opening the door for additional aircraft orders as the airline expands its fleet.

While Boeing presents strong growth potential, it also faces several key challenges that investors should weigh carefully. Although global air travel demand continues to recover and expand, the aviation industry remains constrained by persistent supply-chain disruptions, including shortages of engines, castings and other critical components.

RTX Outperforms Industry in the Past Year: Should You Buy?

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) today is down -0.7%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DOWI) (DIA) is down -1.0%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) is down -0.4%. March E-mini S&P futures (ESH26) are down -0.7%, and March E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQH26) are down -0.4%.
Stocks are trading lower as WTI crude oil prices are up more than +9% today, and temporarily traded above $100 per barrel. Oil prices have moved sharply higher on fears of a drawn-out war in the Middle East and on Israel's bombing of 30 Iranian fuel depots on Saturday. In addition, Saudi Arabia became the latest Middle East oil producer to cut production as its local storage facilities near capacity.

Oil prices fell back from even sharper gains on overnight reports that G-7 finance ministers were discussing a possible joint release of oil reserves. However, the G-7 countries have since decided against a near-term coordinated release of strategic oil reserves.
Meanwhile, there is no end in sight for the Middle East war as Iran's Assembly of Experts over the weekend appointed hardliner Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran's new supreme leader, the son of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran’s new leader has close ties to Iran’s powerful and entrenched Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). President Trump said he is "not happy" with the choice of the new leader.
Stocks are also being undercut by ongoing worries about the US economy after last Friday's news that US Feb payrolls fell by -92,000 and that the Feb unemployment rate unexpectedly rose by +0.1 to 4.4%. Also, US Jan retail sales fell by -0.2% m/m.
Q4 earnings season is nearly over, with more than 95% of the S&P 500 companies having reported earnings results. Earnings have been a positive factor for stocks, with 74% of the 492 S&P 500 companies that have reported beating expectations. According to Bloomberg Intelligence, S&P earnings growth is expected to climb by +8.4% in Q4, marking the tenth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth. Excluding the Magnificent Seven megacap technology stocks, Q4 earnings are expected to increase by +4.6%.
The markets are discounting a 4% chance for a -25 bp rate cut at the next policy meeting on March 17-18.
Overseas stock markets fell on Monday amid the fresh spike in oil prices. The Euro Stoxx 50 is down -1.0%. China's Shanghai Composite on Monday closed down -0.7%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 closed sharply lower by -5.2%.
Interest Rates
June 10-year T-notes (ZNM6) today are down -4.5 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield is up +0.6 bp at 4.132%. T-note prices are trading lower due to today's fresh upward spike in oil prices, which is inflationary and hawkish for Fed policy. The 10-year breakeven inflation expectations rate today is down -0.3 bp at 2.2350%, falling back from a 6-month high on the oil prices surge.
European government bond yields are higher. The 10-year German bund yield is unchanged at 2.858%. The 10-year UK gilt yield is up +3.7 bp at 4.664%.
Swaps are discounting a 1% chance of a -25 bp rate hike by the ECB at its next policy meeting on March 19.
US Stock Movers
The Magnificent Seven technology stocks are trading mostly lower, led by declines of more than -2% in Tesla (TSLA), and more than -1% in Amazon.com (AMZN) and Meta Platforms (META).
Oil stocks are trading mostly higher today on the oil-price surge to the $100 per barrel area, led by gains of more than +2% in Occidental Petroleum (OXY), Devon Energy (DVN), and Diamondback Energy (FANG). Exxon (XOM) is up +0.8%, and Chevron (CVX) is up +0.2%.

Stocks Fall as Oil Prices Spike up to $100 Per Barrel

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) today is down -0.9%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DOWI) (DIA) is down -1.2%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) is down -0.9%. March E-mini S&P futures (ESH26) are down -1.3%, and March E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQH26) are down -1.2%.
Stocks are trading lower as crude oil prices are up more than +9% today, and temporarily traded above $100 per barrel. Oil prices have moved sharply higher on fears of a drawn-out war in the Middle East and on Israel's bombing of 30 Iranian fuel depots on Saturday. In addition, Saudi Arabia became the latest Middle East oil producer to cut production as its local storage facilities near capacity. Oil prices fell back from even sharper gains on news that G-7 finance ministers are discussing a possible joint release of oil reserves.

Meanwhile, there is no end in sight for the Middle East war as Iran's Assembly of Experts over the weekend appointed hardliner Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran’s new supreme leader, the son of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. President Trump said he is "not happy" with the choice of the new leader.
Stocks are also being undercut by ongoing worries about the US economy after last Friday's news that US Feb payrolls fell by -92,000 and that the Feb unemployment rate unexpectedly rose by +0.1 to 4.4%. Also, US Jan retail sales fell by -0.2% m/m.
Q4 earnings season is nearly over, with more than 95% of the S&P 500 companies having reported earnings results. Earnings have been a positive factor for stocks, with 74% of the 492 S&P 500 companies that have reported beating expectations. According to Bloomberg Intelligence, S&P earnings growth is expected to climb by +8.4% in Q4, marking the tenth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth. Excluding the Magnificent Seven megacap technology stocks, Q4 earnings are expected to increase by +4.6%.
The markets are discounting a 4% chance for a -25 bp rate cut at the next policy meeting on March 17-18.
Overseas stock markets fell on Monday amid the fresh spike in oil prices. The Euro Stoxx 50 is down -1.8%. China's Shanghai Composite fell -0.7%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 fell sharply by -5.2%.

Stocks also retreated on Friday after US employers unexpectedly cut jobs last month and the unemployment rate rose, raising doubts about the health of the labor market.
US Feb nonfarm payrolls unexpectedly fell by -92,000, weaker than expectations of a +55,000 increase and the biggest decline in four months. The Feb unemployment rate unexpectedly rose +0.1 to 4.4%, showing a weaker labor market than expectations of no change at 4.3%.
US Feb average hourly earnings rose +0.4% m/m and +3.8% y/y, stronger than expectations of +0.3% m/m and +3.7% y/y.
US Jan retail sales fell -0.2% m/m, a smaller decline than expectations of -0.3% m/m, Jan retail sales ex-autos were unchanged m/m, right on expectations.
US Jan consumer credit rose by +$8.05 billion, weaker than expectations of +$12.65 billion.
Fed Governor Christopher Waller said, "Thinking about monetary policy going forward, the Iran war is unlikely to cause sustained inflation. That's one reason the Fed doesn't look at energy prices but looks at core prices, excluding energy, as core is a better predictor of future inflation."
Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack said, "Under my base case, I think policy should be on hold for quite some time as we see evidence that inflation is coming down and the labor market stabilizes further."
Boston Fed President Susan Collins said, "My baseline features a still-uncertain inflation picture, with continued upside risks. This, combined with recent evidence suggesting a relatively stable labor market, in my view, argues for maintaining policy rates at their current, mildly restrictive levels for some time."
WTI crude (CLJ26) surged by more than +12% Friday to a 2.5-year high, adding to this week’s surge, as the war rages on in the Middle East for a seventh day. Iran fired a barrage of missiles and drones targeting a number of Gulf countries overnight, while the US and Israel maintained airstrikes on Iran. Key energy facilities in the Middle East have been struck by Iranian drones or forced to shut as storage tanks have filled up, as the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has halted energy exports.
The Strait of Hormuz remains closed due to the war against Iran, halting most energy shipments from the Persian Gulf. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned ships not to sail through the passageway, saying that vessels "could be at risk from missiles or rogue drones." The closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which handles a fifth of the world's oil, has curbed exports and forced Gulf producers to stockpile the crude locally in storage tanks. Goldman Sachs estimates the real-time risk premium for crude oil at $18/bbl, corresponding to its estimate of the impact of a six-week full halt to tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
In addition, damage from an intercepted Iranian drone caused a major fire on Tuesday at the United Arab Emirates' major oil-trading hub, Fujairah, one of the largest oil storage centers in the Middle East. European natural gas prices surged to a 3-year high on Tuesday after Qatar shut its Ras Laffan plant, the world's largest natural gas export facility, after it was targeted by an Iranian drone attack. The Ras Laffan plant accounts for about 20% of the global liquefied natural gas supply. On Thursday, China told its largest refiner to suspend exports of diesel and gasoline due to the escalating conflict in the Persian Gulf, which will tighten global fuel supplies and push fuel prices even higher.
