The company operates through five segments: Liquids Pipelines, Gas Transmission and Midstream, Gas Distribution and Storage, Renewable Power Generation, and Energy Services. The Liquids Pipelines segment operates pipelines and related terminals to transport various grades of crude oil and other liquid hydrocarbons in Canada and the United States. The Gas Transmission and Midstream segment invests in natural gas pipelines and gathering and processing facilities in Canada and the United States. The Gas Distribution and Storage segment is involved in natural gas utility operations serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers in Ontario, as well as natural gas distribution activities in Quebec. The Renewable Power Generation segment operates power generating assets, such as wind, solar, geothermal, waste heat recovery, and transmission assets in North America. The Energy Services segment provides physical commodity marketing and logistical services to refiners, producers, and other customers in Canada and the United States. The company was formerly known as IPL Energy Inc. and changed its name to Enbridge Inc. in October 1998. Enbridge Inc. was founded in 1949 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for third-quarter earnings is pegged at 67 cents per share, implying an improvement of 3.1% from the year-ago reported number. There has been one downward earnings estimate revision over the past seven days. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for third-quarter revenues is currently pegged at $12.6 billion, suggesting a 9% fall from the year-ago actuals.

Enterprise Products has a pipeline network spanning more than 50,000 miles, transporting oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, refined products and petrochemicals. The partnership also has more than 300 million barrels of liquids storage capacity, which is expected to have generated stable fee-based revenues in the September quarter.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Gross operating margin from the Natural Gas Pipelines & Services segment is pegged at $402.33 million, suggesting an improvement from $349 million a year ago.
EPD’s Price Performance & Valuation
EPD's stock has soared 14.8% over the past year compared with the 2.9% rise of the composite stocks belonging to the industry. Kinder Morgan Inc. KMI and Enbridge Inc. ENB, two other leading midstream energy players, have gained 10.9% and 24.3%, respectively.

EPD appears relatively undervalued, suggesting the potential for further price increases. The partnership's current trailing 12-month enterprise value/earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EV/EBITDA) ratio is 10.08 compared with the industry average of 10.44, reflecting that it is trading at a discount.

Investment Thesis of EPD
To feed its pipelines and processing plants, Enterprise Products has a significant reliance on the Permian, the most prolific oil and gas shale play in the United States. On its second-quarter 2025earnings call EPD revealed that most of the core oil-producing regions in the Permian have already been used up, and the exploration and production companies are now increasingly focusing on those areas that are rich in natural gas.
Thus, the composition of commodities that EPD will be transporting in the coming days will probably be weighted more toward natural gas. This will likely create pressure on EPD’s profit margin as natural gas and NGL are less profitable than oil at the wellhead, considering energy density and transport costs.
Status of Other Big Energy Players: ENB, KMI
Enbridge will report third-quarter 2025 earnings on Nov. 7, 2025. ENB currently has an Earnings ESP of -7.36% and a Zacks Rank of 3.
Enbridge's earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in three of the trailing four quarters, with the average surprise being 5.61%.
KMI, on the other hand, reported results on Oct. 22. Kinder Morgan’s third-quarter 2025 adjusted earnings per share were 29 cents, which met the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The bottom line also increased year over year from 25 cents.
Total quarterly revenues of $4.15 billion beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $4.13 billion. KMI’s top line also increased from $3.70 billion in the prior-year quarter.
The in-line earnings and better-than-expected top line were primarily backed by business activities associated with natural gas pipelines.
Last Word
Thus, considering heavy Permian dependence, it would be ideal to stay away from the stock, although EPD generates stable fee-based revenues like KMI and ENB.

Enterprise Products Before Q3 Earnings: Time to Sell or Reassess?

Kinder Morgan (KMI) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.29 per share, in line with the Zacks Consensus Estimate . This compares to earnings of $0.25 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
A quarter ago, it was expected that this oil and natural gas pipeline and storage company would post earnings of $0.28 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.28, delivering no surprise.
Over the last four quarters, the company has not been able to surpass consensus EPS estimates.
Kinder Morgan, which belongs to the Zacks Oil and Gas - Production and Pipelines industry, posted revenues of $4.15 billion for the quarter ended September 2025, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.48%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $3.7 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters.
The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.
Kinder Morgan shares have added about 0.4% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 14.5%.

Enbridge's revenues are expected to be $10.86 billion, down 0.5% from the year-ago quarter.

The model of consistency
Realty Income is the epitome of a passive income investment. The real estate investment trust (REIT) pays a dependable monthly dividend with a high current yield (nearly 5.5%). That high yield enables investors like me to generate a lot more income from every dollar they invest compared to lower-yielding options. For example, every $100 invested in the REIT would produce about $5.50 of annual dividend income, nearly four times that of the average dividend stock, considering the S&P 500's 1.2% yield.
The REIT has been very dependable throughout its history. It has declared 664 consecutive monthly dividend payments since its formation. Realty Income has increased its payment 132 times since its initial public market listing in 1994, including for the past 112 straight quarters and every single year since its public listing.
Realty Income is in a strong position to continue paying a bankable and growing dividend. It owns a diversified portfolio of retail, industrial, gaming, and other properties net leased to many of the world's leading companies. Those leases provide it with very stable and predictable rental income. Meanwhile, Realty Income has a conservative financial profile, including one of the 10 best balance sheets in the REIT sector. That strong financial foundation provides it with the flexibility to continue acquiring income-producing commercial real estate, supporting its steadily rising dividend.
Built for reliability
Enbridge has been a very reliable dividend stock over the decades. The Canadian pipeline and utility company has paid dividends for more than 70 years and has increased its payout for the last 30 consecutive years. That's impressive considering all the volatility in the energy sector.
The energy infrastructure company's low-risk business profile has allowed it to easily navigate the sector's volatility. About 98% of its earnings come from stable and predictable cost-of-service agreements or long-term contracts. Its business is so predictable that Enbridge has achieved its annual financial guidance for 19 years in a row, a period that included two major recessions and two other periods of energy market turbulence. The company's stable cash flows support its nearly 6%-yielding dividend.
Enbridge's business produces significant excess free cash after paying dividends. It also has a strong investment-grade balance sheet. This gives it the financial flexibility to continue investing in the growth of its business. It currently has billions of dollars of commercially secured organic expansion projects in its backlog, providing it with visibility into its earnings growth rate through the end of the decade. That will give it plenty of fuel to continue increasing its high-yielding payout.
Bankable passive income plus a little extra
Main Street Capital is a business development corporation (BDC) that provides capital, primarily debt, to smaller, private companies ($10 million to $500 million in revenue). Those investments generate interest and dividend income.
As a BDC, the company must distribute 90% of its taxable net income to investors to remain in compliance with IRS regulations. Main Street knows that income-focused investors highly value stability. That drives its unique dividend policy. The BDC pays a monthly dividend set at a rate it can sustain during a down market. Additionally, it pays supplemental quarterly dividends from its excess income to remain in compliance with IRS guidelines.
This policy has been very successful. Main Street Capital has never reduced its monthly dividend payment since completing its IPO in 2007. Instead, it has raised the payout by 132% over the years, aiming to increase this base payment at a sustainable rate as its portfolio expands. Main Street also pays supplemental dividends with its excess income. These additional payments can vary depending on its income and market conditions. Over the past 12 months, the company's combined dividend payments have added up to a 6.6% annualized dividend yield.
Big-time income stocks
Realty Income, Enbridge, and Main Street Capital are ideal income stocks for my strategy. They pay very durable, high-yielding dividends that steadily grow. That will help me generate more passive income in 2026 and beyond, which is why I plan to buy these dividend stocks even more aggressively over the coming year.

Never heard of IPL? That's understandable. The company changed its name to Enbridge (NYSE: ENB) in 1998.

I didn't know Enbridge's full history when I first initiated a position in its stock a few years ago. However, the more I learn about the company, the more I like it. Here are three reasons why I keep buying more Enbridge shares.
1. I like the dividend
The thing I immediately think of when Enbridge's name comes up is the company's dividend. Simply put, I like everything about the dividend.
For one thing, Enbridge's forward dividend yield stands at 5.8%. That's a juicy yield that should grab the attention of any income investor. Even investors who aren't seeking income may be impressed by the fact that an initial investment of $10,000 in Enbridge at its initial public offering (IPO) in 1994 would now be worth nearly $184,000 -- thanks largely to reinvesting dividends.
I'm also impressed by Enbridge's dividend track record. The company has increased its dividend for 30 consecutive years. That's a streak I don't expect to end anytime soon, with Enbridge's continued free-cash-flow growth and its distributable cash-flow payout of between 60% and 70%.
2. Enbridge's business is steady and resilient
Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I have a feeling the stock market is poised for a major downturn. Valuations are at historical highs. The full impact of tariffs probably still hasn't been felt by the economy. Inflation is still weighing on consumers.
While I invest for the long term and have always resisted the urge to sell in panic when the stock market tanks, I'm highly selective about which stocks I buy with the current dynamics. Enbridge's steady and resilient business makes it easier for me to buy more shares.
The Trump administration has exempted Canadian oil and gas imports from tariffs, so that's not an issue for Enbridge. Around 80% of the company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) is protected from inflation. Enbridge has minimal exposure to commodity prices.
The company's acquisitions in recent years have made its cash flows even more reliable. Enbridge is now the largest natural gas utility in North America based on volume. The bottom line is that the underlying business behind this stock is both predictable and safe.
3. The company's growth prospects are solid
A dividend stock that can be described as steady and resilient usually doesn't deliver sizzling growth. I don't expect Enbridge to be another Nvidia. However, the company's growth prospects are solid. And the same artificial intelligence (AI) tailwind at Nvidia's back should also help Enbridge.
The data centers that host AI applications consume massive amounts of power. As agentic AI and other new uses of the technology gain widespread adoption, the demand for electricity will almost certainly increase significantly.
Roughly 43% of U.S. electricity was generated by natural gas in 2023, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Another 16% was generated from coal-powered plants. But a major switch from coal to natural gas is underway. This is great news for Enbridge.
The company foresees around $50 billion of growth opportunities through 2030. That's nearly equal to the amount of revenue it made last year. Unsurprisingly, almost half of those growth opportunities ($23 billion) are in Enbridge's gas transmission business.
Again, I don't predict that Enbridge will deliver the kind of growth that will knock the socks off investors. However, I think the stock will produce double-digit percentage total returns over the long run with its attractive dividend included. That's enough reason for me to want to keep buying shares of this amazing dividend stock.

Why I Keep Buying More Shares of This Amazing 5.8%-Yielding Dividend Stock

The energy sector is volatile, which is the first thing that any investor venturing into high-yield energy stocks needs to understand. You have to plan for oil's peaks and valleys in some way or you will likely end up making short-term investment choices that are less than ideal.
Here are three high-yield energy stocks that may be worth the risk for you because they have a history of continuing to reward investors despite oil's ups and downs.

1. Chevron is a port in a storm
Chevron (NYSE: CVX) is one of the largest integrated energy companies in the world. It is "integrated" because it has operations across the entire energy sector, from drilling for oil (the upstream) to transporting it (the midstream) to processing it into other things (chemicals and refining). Each segment performs just a little differently through the energy cycle, so having exposure to all of them helps to soften the energy industry's normal swings.
The proof of that is Chevron's 38-year history of increasing its dividend. That's an incredible track record given the volatility in oil prices over that time. Helping on that front is the company's strong balance sheet, which currently sits with a debt-to-equity ratio of around 0.2. That would be low for any company and gives management the ability to take on leverage during oil downturns so it can support the dividend and business until oil prices recover.
With a 4.4% dividend yield, you'll generate a lot more income with Chevron than you will with the average energy stock. The sector's yield is roughly 3.2%, which is more than a full percentage point lower. And the income stream you get from Chevron is likely to be way more reliable than average, too.
2. Enbridge is a midstream giant and a little more
Enbridge (NYSE: ENB) operates largely in the midstream segment of the energy sector. This is the most reliable niche because it is filled mostly with toll-taker businesses. Essentially, Enbridge owns energy infrastructure assets, like pipelines, and it gets paid to move oil and natural gas. The price of those commodities is far less important to Enbridge than energy demand, which tends to be robust regardless of oil prices. All in, Enbridge's pipeline business provides a steady stream of cash to support its lofty 5.6% dividend yield.
But Enbridge isn't just a pipeline company. It also owns regulated natural gas utilities and has a small clean-energy business. Both are in line with the company's goal of changing along with the changing energy needs of the world. Essentially, Enbridge is slowly moving toward cleaner energy sources. That said, both of these businesses are reliable cash-flow generators, too. The regulated utility assets also have the benefit of providing a fairly steady stream of capital investment opportunities, helping to support slow and steady long-term growth.
Enbridge won't excite you, but with a 5.6% yield that probably won't be too upsetting to most dividend investors. And, notably, its boring approach to the energy sector has allowed it to increase its dividend, in Canadian dollars, for three decades and counting.
3. MPLX is building a reliable dividend record as gathers assets
MPLX LP (NYSE: MPLX) is a large midstream master limited partnership (MLP). It has similar operations to Enbridge in that it owns pipelines and energy processing assets. However, it doesn't own utility or clean energy investments, so it is not nearly as diversified.
MLPX, with a market capitalization of about $50 billion, is also notably smaller than Enbridge, which has a market cap exceeding $100 billion. There's a bit more risk in owning MPLX, but for those with a slightly more aggressive investment approach the MLP's 7.8% yield should be ample compensation for that risk.
The big story with MPLX is growth, which is happening in two ways. First, it is investing in its own business via a capital investment program. Second, it has been acting as an industry consolidator, buying up assets and entire companies. That combination has led to material growth in the distribution of late, with the most recent hike a lofty 10%. That follows on a 12% increase in 2024 and 10% hikes in 2022 and 2023.
It isn't reasonable to expect increases that large every year, but this shows what the business is capable of when times are good. And that growth is backed by 13 years' worth of annual distribution increases, which is basically how long MPLX has existed. If you can handle a little less certainty than dividend stalwarts Chevron and Enbridge, MPLX could be a high yield worth the risk.
Three high-yield options worth looking at right now
If you are looking to add an energy stock to your dividend portfolio, you'll want to dig into Chevron, Enbridge, and MPLX right now. They all have above-average yields, solid businesses, and strong histories of returning value to investors via a reliable and growing income stream.
Chevron provides direct exposure to energy prices. Enbridge is diversified across the energy sector as it adjusts its portfolio to the world's changing energy needs. And MPLX is a midstream story with a focus on growth. One or more will likely fit very well with your investment needs.

Stocks can also be muddling along but in a great position to benefit from changing market dynamics. Each of these scenarios can present terrific buying opportunities for investors.

1. Enbridge
Enbridge (NYSE: ENB) could be a fantastic stock to own if a stock market correction is on the way. With valuations near record highs and festering macroeconomic uncertainty, an overall market downturn might be in the cards.
However, I think Enbridge would hold up quite well in a highly volatile environment. The company's pipelines transport around 30% of the crude oil produced in North America and 20% of the natural gas consumed in the U.S. But Enbridge has minimal exposure to commodity prices and is largely insulated from inflation.
The company is also the biggest natural gas utility in North America based on volume. This business makes Enbridge even more resilient to economic and market turbulence.
Income investors should like that Enbridge has increased its dividend for 30 consecutive years. They'll also probably love the energy leader's forward dividend yield of 5.7%.
2. Pfizer
It's easy to find things to worry about with Pfizer (NYSE: PFE). However, I also think it's easy to make too much of those concerns.
Take the Trump administration's tariffs on pharmaceutical imports to the U.S. Pfizer will be exempt from those tariffs for the next three years thanks to its investments in U.S. expansion.
What about the patent cliff the big drugmaker faces over the next few years? It's a legitimate concern. However, Pfizer has multiple newer products on the market with fast-growing sales that should largely offset any revenue decline resulting from its key patent expirations.
Meanwhile, Pfizer offers one of the best dividends in the entire healthcare sector (and the entire market, for that matter). Its forward dividend yield tops 6.8%. Management remains committed to maintaining and growing the dividend, too.
3. United Parcel Service
Nearly everything that could go wrong has gone wrong for United Parcel Service (NYSE: UPS). This shows up in the package delivery giant's share price, which has plunged more than 30% year to date and nearly 50% over the last three years. But I believe that UPS' troubles are temporary.
Tariffs are putting tremendous pressure on the company's China-to-U.S. shipment volume. However, as UPS CEO Carol Tomé noted in the second-quarter earnings call, "[I]t's important to remember that with policy changes, trade doesn't stop, it moves." I suspect UPS' business will adjust to the Trump administration's trade policies.
Some might think UPS shot itself in the foot with the decision to slash its Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) volume. My view, though, is that this move will ultimately boost the company's profitability as it sheds lower-margin business and streamlines its cost structure.
UPS pays a juicy dividend that currently yields 7.7%. Could the board opt to cut that dividend? Maybe. However, Tomé insisted in the Q2 call, "We know how important the dividend is to our investors, and you have our commitment to a stable and growing dividend." That's reassuring to me.
4. Verizon Communications
Musical chairs at the top can be a warning sign for investors. I don't think that's the case with Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ), though. The big telecommunications company recently named former PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL) CEO Dan Schulman as CEO. Schulman replaced Hans Vestberg, who led Verizon for six years. Vestberg will remain a member of the board of directors into next year and will be a special advisor to assist with the transition.
This isn't a situation where Verizon is struggling and needs new leadership, though. The company reported industry-best wireless service revenue in Q2. Its free cash flow continues to grow steadily. Verizon's wireless network received two prestigious awards in recent months.
Verizon's growth could pick up in 2026. The telecom giant expects to close its acquisition of Frontier Communications (NASDAQ: FYBR) early next year.
Now for the best part about Verizon. Its dividend yields roughly 7.8%. The company has also increased its dividend for 19 consecutive years. I think there are enough positives about this stock for it to be a great double-down candidate right now.

4 Dividend Stocks to Double Up on Right Now -- Including United Parcel Service and Pfizer

Enterprise Products Partners LP EPD stock lost 2.1% over a month compared with the industry’s dip of 3.6% in the same period. Enbridge Inc. ENB and Kinder Morgan Inc. KMI lost 1.7% and 0.2%, respectively, but these two midstream energy majors have outperformed EPD.

Should investors jump on EPD, which generates stable fee-based revenues, despite the unit price decline? Hence, analyzing the partnership’s business fundamentals is crucial before making investment decisions.
EPD’s Significant Permian Dependence Poses a Concern
To feed its pipelines and processing plants, Enterprise Products has a significant reliance on the Permian, the most prolific oil and gas shale play in the United States. In its second-quarter 2025 earnings transcript, EPD revealed that most of the core oil-producing regions in the Permian have already been used up, and the exploration and production companies are now increasingly focusing on those areas that are rich in natural gas.
Thus, the composition of commodities that EPD will be transporting in the coming days will probably be weighted more toward natural gas. This will likely create pressure on EPD’s profit margin as natural gas and NGL are less profitable than oil at the wellhead, considering energy density and transport costs.
Enterprise Products’ Huge Financial Obligations
The midstream energy giant has huge debt obligations. The partnership revealed in its lastearnings callthat it has a debt principal obligation of $33.1 billion as of the June quarter of this year, leading to a debt-to-capitalization of 52.3%. This compares with 50.5% for Kinder Morgan and 59.7% for Enbridge.

On top of that, Enterprise Products is planning to invest annually in the range of $4 billion to $4.5 billion in growth projects.
Although the majority of the partnership’s debt obligations are at a fixed interest rate, considering the massive debt load and capital spending, the midstream giant is carrying significant financial obligations. This could become risky if any of the growth projects fail to generate sufficient cash flows to meet EPD’s expectations.
Should Investors Stay Away from the Stock?
Considering the valuation story, investors are not willing to pay a premium price for EPD. This is reflected by the fact that it trades at a trailing 12-month enterprise value to EBITDA (EV/EBITDA) of 10.10X, which is below the broader industry average of 10.44X. KMI and ENB trade at a trailing 12-month EV/EBITDA of 14.03X and 15.44X, respectively.

Thus, considering heavy Permian dependence and massive financial obligations, it would be ideal to stay away from the stock, although EPD generates stable fee-based revenues like KMI and ENB. Enterprise Products currently carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell).

Enbridge Inc. ENB is a leading midstream energy player and generates stable cash flows, which enable it to return handsome capital to shareholders. Over the past three decades, the company has rewarded shareholders with consecutive dividend hikes. Now, can the trend continue?
Let’s analyze the company’s basic business model. Being a midstream player, Enbridge generates stable cash flows, since most of the company’s assets are booked by shippers for the long term. Hence, the company is not significantly vulnerable to volume and price risks. This stability enabled Enbridge to continue to reward shareholders.
Importantly, ENB also has a secured capital program of C$32 billion, comprising projects related to liquid pipelines, gas transmission, renewables and gas distribution & storage. ENB's 3-Decade of Consecutive Dividend Hike: Will the Trend Continue?

Per Reuters, Chevron Corporation CVX has partnered with Israel Natural Gas Lines to begin work on the Nitzana natural gas pipeline, a strategic project designed to carry gas from the Leviathan field to Egypt. The initiative aims to strengthen Israel’s energy ties with its neighbor while providing much-needed relief to Egypt, which has struggled with an energy crunch and rising Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) import costs.
Leviathan Project: Biggest Natural Gas Field in the Mediterranean
Leviathan is one of the biggest deepwater natural gas fields in the world and the Leviathan reservoir is the most stable and strongest energy hub in the Mediterranean. The Leviathan field in the Levant Basin has witnessed about 85 trillion cubic feet of hydrocarbon resources discovered over the past two decades. Fueled by the enormous hydrocarbon resources in the field, the natural gas reserves have increased by about 40% over the last 10 years. The Leviathan project, partnered by New Med Energy (holding a 45.34% stake in the project), Chevron Mediterranean (39.66%) and Ratio Energies (15%), is one of the biggest natural gas developments in the Mediterranean that supplies gas to Israel, Egypt and Jordan.
Boosting Regional Energy Exports
The Leviathan field has an estimated reserve of 600 billion cubic meters, which underpins a recent $35 billion deal to supply gas to Egypt. Once completed in about three years, the Nitzana pipeline will add capacity of around 600 million cubic feet of gas per day, bringing Israel’s total exports to Egypt above 2.2 billion cubic feet (bcf) daily.
Egypt’s Energy Crisis
Egypt is grappling with a wave of natural gas shortages as peak demand strains the power grid. Increased natural gas demand is forcing the government to adopt emergency measures to prevent blackouts. This comes despite Egypt’s aspirations to position itself as a regional energy hub and major LNG supplier, highlighting the tension between export ambitions and domestic needs. The situation is worsened by slow economic growth, financial instability and lower-than-expected gas output, particularly at the Zohr field, which is facing technical issues. To ease the crisis, Egypt is seeking to secure more long-term LNG supply deals and receive shipments to ensure a stable gas supply for power stations.
Future Supply & Growth Prospects
Beyond Leviathan, other producers are eyeing Nitzana’s potential. Energean, another gas producer, plans to transport up to 2 billion cubic meters annually from its Katlan field, expected to begin production in 2027. Together, these efforts position the pipeline as a cornerstone of regional energy cooperation, supporting Egypt’s energy stability while boosting Israel’s role as a gas exporter.

Chevron & Israel Announce Launch of New Gas Pipeline Project to Egypt

Enterprise Products Partners LP EPD is a leading midstream player that earns consistent fee-based income from its extensive portfolio of pipeline and storage assets. Additionally, the partnership has likely secured extra cash flows from its $6 billion worth of key capital midstream projects that are currently under construction.
EPD has a pipeline network across more than 50,000 miles, transporting crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids and refined products. The partnership also has a storage capacity of more than 300 million barrels (MMBbls). The asset portfolio generating steady cash flows indicates a stable business model, which is less vulnerable to volatility in commodity prices. This is because the pipelines are booked by shippers for a long term, providing stability from volume and price risks.
On top of that, the under-construction, $6 billion worth of capital midstream projects will ensure further stability in generating incremental cash flows for unit holders. EPD, which already hiked distribution for 27 consecutive years, will thus be able to reward unitholders with additional distributions.
KMI & ENB Also Have Huge Project Backlog
Kinder Morgan Inc. KMI and Enbridge Inc. ENB also have strong project backlogs to support their incremental future cash flows.
As of June 30, 2025, Kinder Morgan had a project backlog of $9.3 billion. KMI boasted that it has been successfully increasing its backlog while confirming the projects will generate handsome returns.
Enbridge stated that its secured capital program totals C$32 billion. ENB mentioned that its capital program comprises projects associated with liquid pipelines, gas transmission, renewables and gas distribution & storage activities.
EPD’s Price Performance, Valuation & Estimates
Units of Enterprise Products have soared 16.4% over the past year compared with the 8.2% improvement of the composite stocks belonging to the industry.

From a valuation standpoint, EPD trades at a trailing 12-month enterprise value to EBITDA (EV/EBITDA) of 10.26X. This is below the broader industry average of 10.67X.
