This segment also produces CANDU reactor fuel bundles and other reactor components. The company offers nuclear fuel processing services. The Westinghouse segment engages in the manufacture of nuclear reactor technology original equipment. This segment provides products and services to commercial utilities and government agencies; and outage and maintenance services, engineering support, instrumentation and controls equipment, plant modification, and components and parts to nuclear reactors. It sells its uranium and fuel services to nuclear utilities in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Cameco Corporation was incorporated in 1987 and is headquartered in Saskatoon, Canada.

I'll give this to you straight: As sure as I am that nuclear energy is becoming a key source to meet the growing energy demand, both in America and around the world, I'm not finding a whole lot of nuclear stocks that are a good buy right now. Ever since Constellation Energy announced its big re-opening of the Three Mile Island plant to power data centers for Microsoft in 2024, investor interest in this sector has skyrocketed. At this point, most nuclear stocks' valuations have all gone up so much that it's now incredibly hard to find any bargains.
But if there's any nuclear stock still worth buying, it's probably Cameco (NYSE: CCJ).

What is Cameco?
Headquartered in Saskatoon, Canada, Cameco describes itself as "one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future." The company boasts a controlling stake in "the world's largest high-grade reserves" of uranium, and mines uranium at a "low cost" of less than $46 per pound in total costs in 2025, versus a spot price for uranium of more than $85 per pound currently.
Cameco also owns a 49% stake in nuclear power plant designer Westinghouse Electric Company and in uranium enrichment company Global Laser Enrichment, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence.
Cameco divides its business into three major segments. The Westinghouse stake is the biggest, contributing $1.8 billion in revenue year to date -- but that's from a subsidiary. Cameco proper gets most of its money -- $1.3 billion in the first nine months of 2025 -- from mining uranium, and also buying and reselling it from other miners. Refining and enriching uranium contributed a further $279 million over nine months.
After netting out "unallocated adjustments," Cameco generates about $2.2 billion in annual revenue. The profit margin on this revenue was only 8% pre-tax last year, but has leapt to 23% so far this year.
Cameco versus the competition
That's an impressive number, 23%. Fact is, in contrast to some of the perhaps more exciting, momentum-driven uranium mining start-ups, Cameco is one of the few companies in the nuclear power industry today that's actually earning a profit from doing what it does.
It may not be a lot of profit. Valued in excess of $50 billion, Cameco earned less than $378 million over the last 12 months, giving it a trailing price-to-earnings ratio of 134. But among its rivals, Uranium Energy, Energy Fuels, and even Denison Mines all have no profit whatsoever.
Free cash flow at Cameco is even more impressive, nearly doubling reported net income at $698 million. That drops the company's price-to-free-cash-flow ratio into the double digits, at 72. And crucially, with profit margins expanding, analysts posit Cameco will attain the highest growth rate of any company in this industry over the next five years: 75% annual growth.
And that puts Cameco's price-to-FCF-to-growth ratio under 1. (With minimal net debt, furthermore, the company's enterprise value-to-FCF-to growth ratio is likewise under 1.)
Cameco status report
Cameco last reported earnings in November, so a new earnings report lies just around the corner. Based on the latest report, though, things are looking good for this uranium mining stock.
Cameco CEO Tim Gitzel said "performance across our uranium, fuel services, and Westinghouse segments" was "strong" in the third quarter, and "nuclear continues on a path toward robust expansion" worldwide. The Westinghouse division, in particular, is expected to benefit from a planned $80 billion investment in building large nuclear power plants in the United States, probably based on the Westinghouse AP1000 plant design.
Westinghouse is the company's biggest business. If profit margins also hold up in its second biggest business, uranium mining and selling -- and given the near-100% difference between cost of production and retail prices, they should -- Cameco stock appears to be headed for a bright future.
Admittedly, a lot depends on Cameco hitting the very aggressive earnings growth target of 75%. But if Cameco can do that, then even 72 times trailing free cash flow shouldn't be too high a price to pay for this crucial element of the nuclear supply chain.

Don’t Bet on Caesars Entertainment Stock Right Now?
Caesars Entertainment is a gaming and hospitality powerhouse. It owns, operates, and manages dozens of casinos, hotels, and resorts across the U.S., primarily under brands such as Caesars, Harrah's, Horseshoe, and Eldorado.
The company generates revenue from casino gaming (slots, table games, poker), hotel rooms, food and beverage services, live entertainment, conventions, and increasingly from online sports betting and iGaming through its digital segment.
The current company was formed when Eldorado Resorts completed its acquisition of Caesars Entertainment in July 2020, creating what it called the largest casino and entertainment company in the U.S.
Company revenue has stagnated in the last few years as Las Vegas giant deals with headwinds hitting the entire city. CZR’s earnings have been crushed as well. It reported a GAAP loss of -$1.28 per share in 2024 and an adjusted loss of -$0.55 on 2.5% lower sales.
Most recently, Caesars Entertainment posted an adjusted Q3 loss of -$0.27 a share, falling way short of our estimate for the third period in a row. It offered downbeat guidance again, citing setbacks such as “lower citywide visitation and poor table games hold” in Las Vegas and more.
Caesars Entertainment's adjusted earnings estimates have fallen off a cliff during the last several years, with its FY26 estimate down 25% in the last few months. Plus, its most accurate estimates came in 43% below its beaten-down consensus. This backdrop earns CRZ a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell) right now, signaling that investors likely want to stay away from the stock for the time being.

Ford vs. Ferrari: Which Stock Looks More Attractive Right Now?
Ford Motor Co. and Ferrari N.V. are well-recognized automaker brands. Ford manufactures, markets and services cars, trucks, sport utility vehicles, electrified vehicles and Lincoln luxury vehicles while Ferrari designs, manufactures and sells sports cars. Ferrari also produces a limited-edition supercar, the LaFerrari, as well as limited series and one-off cars. Ferrari represents elite performance, speed and exclusivity, whereas Ford stands out for dependable, affordable vehicles with broad market appeal.

While the Model e segment faces near-term losses, Ford is positioning for long-term success with its Universal EV Platform, designed for affordable, digitally advanced vehicles starting around $30,000. The company plans to begin equipment installation for UEV production in Louisville and start LFP battery cell production in Michigan later this year, reinforcing its long-term electrification strategy.
Ford Pro remains a key growth engine, supported by strong order books, rising demand for Super Duty trucks, and expanding software and service offerings. The company plans to boost F-150 and Super Duty production by more than 50,000 units in 2026 to meet demand and offset losses from the Novelis fire. Strength across vehicles, software, and physical services underpins the segment’s momentum. Paid subscriptions rose 8% to 818,000 in the third quarter. Partnership with ServiceTitan enhances digital service capabilities, positioning Ford Pro as a major long-term earnings driver for the company.
In December, Ford and Renault Group unveiled a major strategic alliance to expand Ford’s EV lineup in Europe, boosting both companies’ competitiveness in the fast-changing regional auto market. Central to the deal is an agreement to develop two Ford-branded electric models built on Renault’s Ampere platform, tapping the group’s EV expertise and scale. Beyond passenger EVs, the partners also signed a letter of intent to explore jointly developing and producing select Ford- and Renault-branded light commercial vehicles for Europe.
Ford has a high dividend yield of more than 4%, way better than the S&P 500’s yield of 1.1%, on average. The company targets distributions of 40-50% of FCF going forward, demonstrating its commitment to shareholder return.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for F’s 2026 EPS implies year-over-year growth of 38.1%. EPS estimates for 2025 and 2026 have fallen a penny and risen 3 cents, respectively, in the past seven days.
The Case for Ferrari Stock
Ferrari reported net revenues of $2.06 billion in the third quarter of 2025, up 14.2% from the corresponding quarter of 2024. Total shipments slightly rose to 3,401 units from 3,383 vehicles in the third quarter of 2024. However, shipments in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan unit and Americas unit declined 12% and 2% respectively.
Per Jing Daily, China’s luxury car buyers, particularly younger consumers, are placing greater emphasis on advanced technology, sustainability and digitally integrated lifestyles. Ferrari’s brand, built on heritage and exclusivity, appears misaligned with these evolving preferences. Although personalization is a global strength for the company, it has not been sufficiently tailored to Chinese cultural tastes and local expectations.
While the visibility of Formula 1 drivers helps generate attention, it does not translate into consistent, long-term sales momentum. Moreover, Ferrari’s absence in the electric vehicle segment represents a notable weakness in a market where new energy vehicles account for more than 40% of total new car sales.
Moreover, even as Ferrari lifted its long-term revenue ambition to roughly €9 billion ($10.4 billion) by 2030, the company now expects fully electric models to account for just 20% of its portfolio by that time, a reduction from its earlier 40% target. Hybrid vehicles are projected to represent another 40%, while the remaining share will continue to rely on internal combustion engines. Ferrari does not anticipate introducing a second electric model before at least 2028, pointing to limited demand for high-performance EVs.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for RACE’s 2025 sales and EPS implies year-over-year growth of 14.9% and 14.6%, respectively. EPS estimates for 2025 and 2026 have fallen 13 cents each in the past 30 days.
Valuation Check: F vs. RACE
On a valuation basis, F trades at a more attractive EV/EBITDA multiple than RACE. This suggests that, relative to its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, Ford stock is priced more reasonably.
Conclusion
Overall, Ford appears to be the more compelling investment choice than Ferrari at this stage. Ford offers diversified revenue streams, broad market exposure, and multiple growth levers across trucks, hybrids, EVs, software, and commercial services. Its strong recent stock performance reflects improving investor confidence, supported by solid revenue growth, a resilient product mix, and expanding high-margin businesses like Ford Pro.

One company that continues to stand out for its dominance in the industry is Constellation Energy (NASDAQ: CEG). Indeed, if I had to pick one nuclear energy stock to buy and hold for the next 10 years, Constellation would top the list. Here's why.
A nuclear advantage that can't be replicated quickly
Constellation Energy may not have the exciting growth potential of a start-up like Oklo. But it has something Oklo doesn't have yet, nor will likely have for several years: operating nuclear power plants.
Indeed, Constellation operates the largest nuclear fleet in the U.S., and it has signed several contracts that will extend over the next decade.
In June 2025, it announced a 20-year agreement with Meta Platforms tied to the full output of its Clinton Clean Energy Center starting in 2027. It has also made moves to restart the former Three Mile Island Unit 1 site (now Crane Clean Energy Center) with support from Microsoft.
Constellation has also completed its acquisition of Calpine, which makes it the U.S.'s largest producer of electricity.
Looking ahead, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Constellation developing its own next-generation reactors. Like Oklo and NuScale, which are designing small reactors, Constellation could develop its own novel technology to keep up with demand from artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. In fact, CEO Joe Dominguez has already signaled that the company might consider next-generation nuclear plants on existing sites.
Again, Constellation likely won't deliver a start-up-style upside over a 10-year period. But with operating assets and long-term contracts, it look well positioned to grow over the next decade.

Amid this backdrop, Cameco is projected to grow its adjusted earnings by 100% in FY25 and 55% in 2026. The uranium miner’s recent upward earnings revisions earn it a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) right now.
CCJ stock skyrocketed 800% in the past five years, including a 125% surge in the past 12 months, to help it overtake its 2007 highs. Some investors might want to wait for a pullback to some longer-term moving averages.

GEV has provided nuclear turbine technologies and services for all reactor types for decades. On top of that, it's ready to be one of a few titans of the next generation of nuclear energy, small modular reactors (SMRs), via its GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy unit and its BWRX-300 SMRs.
GE Vernova is working directly with power companies in the U.S. and Canada to deploy its next-gen SMRs by the early 2030s.

The company has investments in some of the world's largest, high-grade uranium mines, including McArthur River and Cigar Lake, located in the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan. Additionally, it includes Key Lake Mill, the largest uranium mill that processed high-grade ore from the McArthur River mine. Finally, it holds a 40% stake in joint venture Inkai, a low-cost, in-situ recovery operation in Kazakhstan.
Cameco primarily sells uranium under long-term contracts to ensure earnings stability, using a mix of base-escalated prices and market-related mechanisms with floors and ceilings to capture upside when uranium prices rise. To ensure delivery, the company occasionally purchases uranium on the spot market or from its joint venture partner.
Cameco's stake in Westinghouse gives it massive upside potential
Cameco has commitments to deliver an average of about 28 million pounds per year from 2025 through 2029. It is also expected to benefit from rising uranium prices in the coming years, as roughly 60% to 70% of its contracts are market-linked to the spot uranium price.
While rising uranium prices would bode well for Cameco, the company has another important growth driver that offers upside beyond spot uranium prices in the nuclear power buildout. That's because it owns a 49% stake in Westinghouse (Brookfield Renewable Partners owns the remainder), giving it exposure across the nuclear value chain.
Westinghouse is a leader in nuclear technology, providing design and engineering services for approximately half of the world's operating nuclear plants. Its AP1000 is a Generation III+ reactor, the only Gen III+ reactor to use fully passive safety systems (relying on gravity and natural circulation rather than active pumps), and has received U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) certification.
In addition, the AP1000 operates on standard Low-Enriched Uranium (LEU), and the infrastructure for LEU already exists in the U.S. and among its allies. This contrasts with High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU), the fuel for next-generation reactors, which is currently primarily available from Russia. By focusing on the AP1000, the U.S. can scale up nuclear power immediately without waiting a decade to build a domestic HALEU enrichment industry.
In October, Cameco, Brookfield, and Westinghouse entered into an $80 billion agreement with the U.S. government to address the rapidly growing energy demand and accelerate the nuclear buildout. As part of this deal, the parties aim to construct at least eight new reactors, including Westinghouse's large-scale AP1000 and its small modular reactor (SMR), the AP300.
As part of this agreement, the U.S. government has a profit-sharing mechanism. Once active, the U.S. government is entitled to 20% of all cash distributions by Westinghouse that exceed a cumulative total of $17.5 billion.
A top uranium stock with long-term upside
Cameco stock trades at a high forward price-to-earnings ratio of 72.4 times its projected 2026 earnings, a steep valuation that may make investors hesitant to invest. However, the company has significant upside from here, with analysts projecting earnings-per-share growth of 48% this year and another 33% in 2027.
As the world's second-largest producer and the largest in the Western world, and with its significant stake in Westinghouse, Cameco is in a prime position for the nuclear renaissance. If you're bullish on the long-term future of nuclear energy and its buildout, Cameco is one of the top stocks you can buy today to capitalize on that growth.

Is Cameco the Smartest Investment You Can Make Today?

Nuclear energy is enjoying a renaissance in the United States. Between artificial intelligence (AI) driving demand, government policy now being heavily in favor of nuclear power, and public perception shifting in its favor, everything is coming up roses for companies involved in splitting the atom.
But it takes years to build a new reactor and, once completed, its useful lifespan is around 40 years, but can be extended to as long as 80. That means any investment in nuclear power is almost necessarily a long-haul investment, which makes many nuclear stocks great options for passive income.

And two of the top contenders for a nuclear dividend play are Cameco (NYSE: CCJ) and Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK). Now, I hold shares of Cameco, and while I think it's the stronger overall nuclear energy stock, I think Duke is the better dividend play.
Cameco is striking gold by mining uranium
Cameco's business is pretty straightforward. The company mines and refines uranium for use in reactors around the world. It's actually the second-largest uranium miner in the world, behind only Kazakhstan's Kazatomprom. Cameco produced 17% of all the world's uranium consumed in 2024.
Cameco is profitable and growing with a net income margin of 15.18% and a three-year revenue compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.18%. Its stock has positively trounced the S&P 500's return in the past 12 months; it's up 124% at the time of writing.
However, that's not why you hold a dividend stock, and Cameco's dividend leaves a lot to be desired. The company pays an annual dividend of $0.17 per share for a yield of 0.16% at current prices. It has grown that dividend in the past two years, but not by much.
I hold Cameco for the appreciation, not the dividend. And if you're looking for a nuclear dividend, Duke Energy has one of the best yields out there right now.
Duke Energy has the nukes (and a great dividend)
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Duke Energy is a major power company in the southeastern and midwestern United States. It operates a diverse array of energy production facilities, including fossil fuel and renewable plants. For this article, I want to highlight its 11 nuclear reactors across six plants in the Carolinas.
Now, it's worth noting that U.S. Census data shows that the southern U.S. is both the most populous and the fastest-growing region in the country. 2024 data indicate 132.6 million people live in the region. And, these states, especially the Carolinas, are seeing some of the fastest population growth in the country. That means secular demand growth for Duke's power aside from any data center construction.
Perhaps that's why, despite Duke's slower revenue growth than Cameco (it has a CAGR of 5.29% over the past three years), it has a comparable net margin of 15.97%. And there's no comparison on the dividend front.
Duke pays out an annual per-share dividend of $4.26, or $1.07 quarterly, which is good for a yield of 3.65% at current share prices. It also has a 15-year history of raising its dividend. Duke's price return for the past 12 months might only be 10%, but that also helps it to maintain an attractive dividend yield.
I like Cameco a lot, but I don't hold it for the dividend, and I'd take a look at Duke if that's what you're interested in.

New Strong Buy Stocks for January 15th

Big tech companies are investing heavily in nuclear energy to meet future power needs.
If you're following the artificial intelligence (AI) industry, you'll find that most of the talk about companies that aren't involved in creating AI programs directly is focused on chipmakers like Nvidia and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing.
However, I think that the next phase of the AI boom will see nuclear energy stocks take center stage.

See, it takes an incredible amount of power to run a data center or train a new AI program. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), power consumption from data centers today amounts to 1.5% of total global electricity. And it's grown at a rate of 12% per year over the past five years.
That energy consumption growth is set to accelerate to 30% percent a year in the IEA's base case projection.
Point blank, we have a power problem, and nuclear energy is one possible solution to it.
AI is going nuclear
The Department of Energy reports that nuclear plants can operate at full capacity 92% of the time, which makes them one of the most reliable sources of electricity. It also avoids about 430 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions, or the equivalent of 95 million cars on the road each year.
Tech companies like Microsoft and Alphabet are aware of this fact and have been contracting with nuclear energy producers to resurrect old plants for the purpose of powering their data centers. More on that in a moment. And new small modular reactors (SMRs) allow for data centers to have their own independent nuclear power grid.
The Nuclear Energy Index is up 88% compared to the same time last year, and I think this is just getting started. So, let's look at three of the leaders in the nuclear-AI surge.
Contellation Energy is partnering with some big AI names
Constellation Energy (NASDAQ: CEG) is America's largest nuclear energy producer and its largest producer of green energy. The Baltimore-based heavyweight in the industry makes an obvious choice for tech giants looking to save a buck by splitting an atom.
That's likely why Microsoft selected Constellation to be its partner in resurrecting the Three Mile Island plant in Pennsylvania as the Crane Clean Energy Center. The $3 billion deal will also see Microsoft purchase electricity from the plant for the next 20 years.
The Department of Energy also pitched in to the tune of $1 billion, which it has loaned to Constellation. The plant is slated to start soon, in either 2028 as projected by Constellation or potentially in 2027.
But just as Microsoft is far from the only horse in the AI race, Constellation isn't the only power company breathing new life into America's nuclear capacity.
NextEra has a place in the next era of nuclear energy
NextEra Energy (NYSE: NEE), another major nuclear energy player in the United States, was tapped by Alphabet to bring Iowa's Duane Arnold Energy Center, Iowa's only nuclear power plant, back online by 2029.
The $1.6 billion deal will see Alphabet buy electricity from the plant over the next 25 years and establishes a long-term partnership between NextEra and Alphabet to explore the deployment of more nuclear energy projects across the country.
Alphabet seems particularly interested in expanding its energy access. In December 2025, it acquired Intersect, a data center energy infrastructure company, for $4.75 billion in cash. So it's a good partner for NextEra to have if it's aiming to expand its nuclear operations.
Finally, nuclear power plants need fuel. And uranium, the yellow rock with unstable atoms, is that fuel.
Cameco has exposure to almost the entire nuclear fuel cycle
Cameco (NYSE: CCJ), based in Vancouver, is the world's second-largest uranium producer behind only Kazakhstan's state-run Kazatomprom. It produced 17% of all the world's uranium supply in 2024, compared to its Kazakh rival's 19%.
What's more, the company has some of the highest-quality uranium reserves on the planet. Its Cigar Lake Mine is the world's highest-grade uranium mine, and McArthur River is the largest high-grade uranium mine globally. That means Cameco's uranium needs less refining to be usable as fuel than the competition's.
Finally, consider that Cameco holds a 49% stake in Westinghouse, an engineering company that produces the AP1000, the most advanced nuclear reactor on the market today. That sets Cameco up with exposure to almost the entire nuclear fuel cycle. And the U.S. government recently committed $80 billion to acquire several new AP1000 reactors.
Put all that together, and you have a strong contender for an investment in the AI-driven nuclear renaissance.
Clean energy, clean AI, clean conscience
While chips and data centers are the most obvious infrastructure needs for AI, don't forget that we will need to power those chips and data centers somehow. And it seems that big tech is betting on atomic power, a very efficient and relatively clean way to do it.
