Bunge Global SA operates as an agribusiness and food company worldwide. It operates through four segments: Agribusiness, Refined and Specialty Oils, Milling, and Sugar and Bioenergy. The Agribusiness segment purchases, stores, transports, processes, and sells agricultural commodities and commodity products, including oilseeds primarily soybeans, rapeseed, canola, and sunflower seeds, as well as grains comprising wheat and corn; and processes oilseeds into vegetable oils and protein meals. This segment offers its products for animal feed manufacturers, livestock producers, wheat and corn millers, and other oilseed processors, as well as third-party edible oil processing and biofuel companies for biofuel production applications. The Refined and Specialty Oils segment sells packaged and bulk oils and fats that comprise cooking oils, shortenings, margarines, mayonnaise, renewable diesel feedstocks, and other products for baked goods companies, snack food producers, confectioners, restaurant chains, foodservice operators, infant nutrition companies, and other food manufacturers, as well as grocery chains, wholesalers, distributors, and other retailers. This segment also refines and fractionates palm oil, palm kernel oil, coconut oil, and shea butter, and olive oil; and produces specialty ingredients derived from vegetable oils, such as lecithin. The Milling segment provides wheat flours and bakery mixes; corn milling products that comprise dry-milled corn meals and flours, wet-milled masa and flours, and flaking and brewer's grits, as well as soy-fortified corn meal, corn-soy blends, and other products; whole grain and fiber ingredients; die-cut pellets; and non-GMO products. The Sugar and Bioenergy segment produces sugar and ethanol; and generates electricity from burning sugarcane bagasse. Bunge Global SA was founded in 1818 and is headquartered in Chesterfield, Missouri.

In this series, we look through the most recent Dividend Channel ''DividendRank'' report, and then we cherry pick only those companies that have experienced insider buying within the past six months. The officers and directors of a company tend to have a unique insider's view of the business, and presumably the only reason an insider would choose to take their hard-earned cash and use it to buy stock in the open market, is that they expect to make money — maybe they find the stock very undervalued, or maybe they see exciting progress within the company, or maybe both. Bunge Ready to Report Q2 Earnings: What's in Store for the Stock?

Investors eyeing a purchase of Bunge Global SA (Symbol: BG) stock, but cautious about paying the going market price of $75.24/share, might benefit from considering selling puts among the alternative strategies at their disposal. One interesting put contract in particular, is the January 2026 put at the $65 strike, which has a bid at the time of this writing of $2.55. Collecting that bid as the premium represents a 3.9% return against the $65 commitment, or a 8% annualized rate of return (at Stock Options Channel we call this the YieldBoost).
Selling a put does not give an investor access to BG's upside potential the way owning shares would, because the put seller only ends up owning shares in the scenario where the contract is exercised. And the person on the other side of the contract would only benefit from exercising at the $65 strike if doing so produced a better outcome than selling at the going market price. (Do options carry counterparty risk? This and six other common options myths debunked). So unless Bunge Global SA sees its shares decline 13.7% and the contract is exercised (resulting in a cost basis of $62.45 per share before broker commissions, subtracting the $2.55 from $65), the only upside to the put seller is from collecting that premium for the 8% annualized rate of return.
Worth considering, is that the annualized 8% figure actually exceeds the 3.7% annualized dividend paid by Bunge Global SA by 4.3%, based on the current share price of $75.24. And yet, if an investor was to buy the stock at the going market price in order to collect the dividend, there is greater downside because the stock would have to fall 13.66% to reach the $65 strike price.

Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF Experiences Big Outflow

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) Thursday closed up +0.38%, the Dow Jones Industrials Index ($DOWI) (DIA) closed up +0.24%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) closed up +0.24%. June E-mini S&P futures (ESM25) are up +0.32%, and June E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQM25) are up +0.19%.
Stock indexes on Thursday recovered from losses and moved higher as the US jobless claim and PPI reports were Fed-friendly, which knocked bond yields lower and boosted the prospects for Fed rate cuts. The 10-year T-note yield on Thursday fell -6 bp to 4.36%. Stocks and bonds maintained their gains Thursday afternoon as decent demand for the Treasury’s $22 billion auction of 30-year T-bonds curbed fears that mounting deficits would cause investors to shun US debt securities.

Stocks initially opened weaker on Thursday as comments from President Trump sparked trade uncertainty and risk-off sentiment in asset markets. Late Wednesday, Mr. Trump said he intends to send letters to dozens of US trading partners in the next one to two weeks setting unilateral tariffs, ahead of the July 9 deadline that came with his 90-day pause.
Also, rising geopolitical risks in the Middle East are negative for stocks. US authorities ordered some staff to depart the US embassy in Baghdad after Iran threatened to strike US bases in the region if attacked. Tensions in the region have increased this week as talks between the US and Iran over its advancing nuclear program appear to have hit an impasse. President Trump said Wednesday that he’s “less confident” about convincing Iran to shut down its nuclear program. The US and Iran are set to meet in Oman on Sunday for their sixth round of nuclear negotiations. If the US and Iran are at an impasse, it is possible that Israel might decide to proceed with a military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
US weekly initial unemployment claims were unchanged at an 8-month high of 248,000, showing a weaker labor market than expectations of a decline to 242,000. Weekly continuing claims rose +54,000 to a 3-1/2 year high of 1.956 million, showing a weaker labor market than expectations of 1.910 million.
The US May final-demand PPI report moved up to +2.6% y/y from +2.5% y/y in April, right on expectations. The May PPI ex-food and energy report eased to +3.0% y/y from +3.2% y/y in April, better than expectations of +3.1% y/y.
The markets this week will focus on any fresh tariff news. On Friday, the preliminary June University of Michigan US consumer sentiment index is expected to climb +1.4 to 53.6.
The markets are discounting the chances at 3% for a -25 bp rate cut at the next FOMC meeting on June 17-18.
Overseas stock markets on Thursday settled mixed. The Euro Stoxx 50 fell to a 1-week low and closed down -0.609%. China’s Shanghai Composite closed up +0.012%. Japan’s Nikkei Stock 225 closed down -0.65%.
Interest Rates
September 10-year T-notes (ZNU25) Thursday closed up +12 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield fell -6.3 bp to 4.357%. Sep T-notes moved higher on Thursday on carryover support from a rally in European government bonds. Also, falling inflation expectations are supportive of T-notes as the 10-year breakeven inflation expectations rate dropped to a 5-week low Thursday of 2.262%. T-notes raced to their highs on the Fed-friendly jobless claim and PPI reports. T-notes maintained their gains on decent demand for the Treasury’s $22 billion auction of 30-year T-bonds that had a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.43, above the 10-auction average of 2.42.
Gains in T-notes were limited after a recovery in stocks curbed safe-haven demand for T-notes. Also, supply pressures weighed on T-notes as the Treasury auctioned $22 billion of 30-year T-bonds Thursday to conclude this week’s $119 billion auction package of T-notes and T-bonds.
European government bond yields on Thursday moved lower. The 10-year German bund yield fell to a 5-week low of 2.468% and finished down -5.7 bp to 2.478%. The 10-year UK gilt yield dropped to a 5-week low of 4.476% and finished down -7.6 bp to 4.477%.
ECB Executive Board member Schnabel said the ECB’s interest rate-cutting campaign may soon be over, with inflation and the economy both on track.
ECB Governing Council member Simkus said he favors a pause in interest rate moves by the ECB due to “very big uncertainty” over US tariff policy.
UK Apr manufacturing production fell -0.9% m/m, weaker than expectations of -0.7% m/m. Also, Apr industrial production fell -06% m/m, weaker than expectations of -0.5% m/m.
Swaps are discounting the chances at 13% for a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at the July 24 policy meeting.
US Stock Movers
Oracle (ORCL) closed up more than +13% to lead gainers in the S&P 500 after reporting Q4 adjusted revenue of $15.90 billion, better than the consensus of $15.59 billion.
Calavo Growers (CVGW) closed up more than +16% after announcing it has received a non-binding, indicative proposal to acquire all of its outstanding shares for $32 a share.
Cardinal Health (CAH) closed up more than +4% to lead healthcare stocks higher after boosting its full-year adjusted EPS estimate to $8.15-$8.20 from a previous estimate of $8.05-$8.15. stronger than the consensus of $8.14. Also, UnitedHealth Group (UNH) closed up more than +2% to lead gainers in the Dow Jones Industrials. In addition, Humana (HUM), Cigna Group (CI), Elevance Health (ELV), and HCA Healthcare (HCA) closed up more than +1%.
Anglogold Ashanti Plc (AU) closed up more than +6% after Roth Capital Partners initiated coverage on the stock with a recommendation of buy and a price target of $52.
Datadog (DDOG) is up more than +3% to lead gainers in the Nasdaq 100 after Wolfe Research upgraded the stock to outperform from peer perform with a price target of $150.
Bunge Global SA (BG) closed up more than +2% after saying it is close to receiving a decision from Chinese antitrust authorities on its $8.2 billion purchase of Viterra, nearly two years after the deal was announced.
Monster Beverage (MNST) closed up more than +1% after Stifel resumed coverage on the stock with a recommendation of buy and a price target of $72.
Airline stocks were under pressure Thursday on demand concerns after US inflation news showed airfares in May fell -2.7% m/m, the fourth straight month-over-month decline, the longest skid in nearly a year. As a result, Southwest Airlines (LUV) closed down more than -2%. Also, United Airlines Holdings (UAL) and American Airlines Group (AAL) closed down more than -1%.
GameStop (GME) closed down more than -22% after announcing plans to offer $1.75 billion of convertible senior notes due 2032.
Oxford Industries (OXM) closed down more than -14% after cutting its full-year adjusted EPS forecast to $2.80-$3.20 from a previous forecast of $4.60-$5.00, well below the consensus of $4.50.
Boeing (BA) closed down more than -4% to lead losers in the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrials after a 787 Boeing Dreamliner aircraft operated by Air India crashed shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad, India.
GE Aerospace (GE) closed down more than -2% after a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad, India. GE makes the GEnx-1B engines that power the 787 Dreamliner.
Omnicon Group (OMC) closed down more than -2% after the New York Times reported the FTC is considering restrictions on Omicon and Interpublic Group to prevent the combined company from refusing to place ads on platforms for political reasons.

Noteworthy Thursday Option Activity: BG, NET, RKT

Bunge Global SA BG reported first-quarter 2025 adjusted earnings of $1.81 per share, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.27 by a margin of 42.5%. The bottom line, however, marked a 40.5% year-over-year plunge due to weak results across its segments.
Including one-time items, the company posted earnings per share of $1.48 compared with $1.68 in the year-ago quarter.

Bunge Global’s net sales were $11.6 billion, down 13% from the year-ago quarter. The top line also missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $12.8 billion.
Bunge Global’s Cost & Margin Performances in Q1
The cost of sales was $11 billion, down 12% from the prior-year quarter. Gross profit plunged 32% year over year to $597 million. Selling and administrative expenses were $380 million, down 13% year over year.
Bunge Global reported an operating profit of $328 million, which marked a 24% decline from $433 million in the year-ago quarter.
Adjusted total segment operating profit slumped 46% year over year to $362 million. Total segment operating margin contracted 190 basis points to 3.1% from the first quarter of 2024.
BG’s Segmental Performances in Q1
Agribusiness: The segment’s sales declined 16% year over year to $8.2 billion. Volumes were 18,277 thousand metric tons compared with 20,192 thousand metric tons in the year-ago quarter.
Adjusted operating profit for the segment declined 45% year over year to $268 million due to lower results in both merchandising and processing.
The merchandising business’ adjusted operating profit was $61 million, marking a 19.7% decline from the year-ago quarter as improved performance in global grains and financial services business was more than offset by lower results in ocean freight.
The processing business’ adjusted operating profit plunged 50% year over year to $207 million. Higher results in Brazil, Europe and Asia soy crush value chains were offset by weaker results in North America, Argentina and European softseeds.
Refined & Specialty Oils: The segment’s sales fell 4.6% year over year to $3.1 billion. Volumes were 2,130 thousand metric tons compared with 2,195 thousand metric tons in the year-ago quarter.
The segment reported an adjusted operating profit of $123 million, a 39.7% drop from the year-ago quarter’s $204 million. This was attributed to lower results across all regions, barring Asia.
Milling: The segment’s sales decreased 2% year over year to $375 million. Volumes were up 2.7% year over year to 898 thousand metric tons.
The segment reported an adjusted operating profit of $15 million, marking a 46% decline from the first quarter of 2024. Improved results in North America were offset by lower results in South America.
BG’s Cash & Balance Sheet Updates
Cash flow used in operating activities was $285 million in the first quarter of 2025 against an inflow of $994 million in the prior-year quarter. The decline was due to net changes in working capital. Cash and cash equivalents were $3.25 billion as of the end of the first quarter of 2025 compared with $3.3 billion as of the end of 2024. At the end of the first quarter of 2025, Bunge Global’s long-term debt was $4.7 billion, flat with 2024-end.
BG Provides 2025 Outlook
The company maintains its previously stated expectation of adjusted earnings per share of $7.75 for 2025, indicating a 15.7% year-over-year decline.
The Agribusiness segment is expected to witness a year-over-year decline due to lower results in Processing.
The Refined and Specialty Oils segment’s full-year results are also anticipated to be down from 2024, reflecting a more balanced supply and demand environment in North America. The Milling segment is expected to deliver an improvement in 2025 results.
BG-Viterra to Create a Premier Agribusiness Solutions Firm
The company also stated that it is in the final stage of the regulatory process on the announced combination with Viterra. The merged entity will boast an enhanced global network with a diversified agriculture network covering all major crops.

Performance of Other Agriculture Stock
Archer Daniels Midland Company ADM posted first-quarter 2025 adjusted earnings of 70 cents per share, which surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 69 cents. However, the figure decreased from earnings of $1.46 per share in the year-ago quarter.
Archer Daniels Midland’s revenues fell 7.3% year over year to $20.2 billion and lagged the consensus estimate of $20.7 billion. The top line was hurt by lower revenues across all its segments.
The Andersons ANDE reported earnings of 12 cents per share in the first quarter of 2025, a 25% decline from 16 cents in the year-ago quarter.
Andersons reported a 2% decline in revenues to $2.66 billion.
One Agriculture Stock Awaiting Results
Hydrofarm HYFM is scheduled to report first-quarter 2025 results on May 13. The consensus estimate for its top line is pegged at $50 million, indicating a 7.7% decline from the prior-year figure. The company is expected to report a loss of $2.50 per share, implying a slight improvement from the loss of $2.60 per share reported in the year-ago quarter. HYFM has a trailing four-quarter average earnings surprise of negative 16.70%.

The company's bottom line totaled $201 million, or $1.48 per share. This compares with $244 million, or $1.68 per share, last year.
Excluding items, Bunge Global SA reported adjusted earnings of $244 million or $1.81 per share for the period.
Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $1.31 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company's revenue for the period fell 13.2% to $11.643 billion from $13.417 billion last year.
