According to Royal Bank of Canada's Global Asset Management division, from 1986 through 2016, dividend-paying companies returned investors an average of 9.9%, outperforming the 6.6% return in the broader market.
Three companies with solid dividend yields that you can invest in forever include Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS), U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB), and Cincinnati Financial (NASDAQ: CINF).
1. Morgan Stanley
Morgan Stanley is a financial services firm with businesses across investment banking, wealth management, and securities trading. The company is a good dividend stock because it has diversified its revenue streams. Before 2020, the company relied primarily on investment banking and trading to generate revenue.
Seeing how volatile the business's earnings were, CEO James Gorman looked to diversify the company's revenue so it could perform well in all kinds of markets. The bank made a splash last year, making not one but two major acquisitions. The bank acquired E*TRADE and Eaton Vance, spending roughly $20 billion to improve its profitability in all kinds of market conditions.
E*TRADE gives the firm a consistent revenue stream from trading commissions and fees. This revenue stream can perform quite well when market volatility is high and investors engage in a lot of trading activity. Eaton Vance gives it a revenue stream that can do well in all market conditions. Wealth management will collect fees on total assets under management (AUM) and can provide it with revenue.
This consistent revenue stream should help the company maintain and even grow its dividend for the years to come. The bank doubled its dividend payout after the Federal Reserve lifted dividend restrictions on banking sector stocks earlier this year, and the stock currently yields investors a healthy dividend of 2.1% annually.
2. U.S. Bancorp
U.S. Bancorp is a well-run bank that focuses on risk management and strong credit quality. Its focus on high-quality loans and conservative loss provisions are one reason why it is known as one of the best-run super-regional banks in the U.S. U.S. Bancorp is also one of Berkshire Hathaway's top 10 largest holdings.
What makes U.S. Bancorp a solid dividend stock is its consistent earnings over the past decade. The stock currently trades at a price to tangible book value (equity minus intangible assets and goodwill) of 2.4, putting it at a more expensive valuation than other banking competitors.
However, it trades at a premium for a good reason. The bank has maintained stellar profitability ratios compared to its peers. Over the past 10 years, U.S. Bancorp has maintained an average return on equity (ROE) of 15.2% and an average return on assets (ROA) of 1.4% -- beating out other major banking competitors, including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo.
U.S. Bancorp has displayed excellent risk management and credit quality. Additionally, it has also built up a strong payments business, which should drive strong future growth for the bank. The bank currently gives investors an attractive yield of 3.1%.
3. Cincinnati Financial
Insurance companies can be a great source of income because of their consistent cash flow generation. That's a big reason why Warren Buffett has described insurance as one of his favorite industries to invest in.
Cincinnati Financial is an insurer focused on writing property and casualty insurance policies. The company mainly makes money from commercial insurance policies or those policies for businesses. It also underwrites personal lines of policies like auto insurance and homeowners insurance.
It has done a great job of writing profitable policies for decades now, and that is why it has been able to increase its dividend payout so consistently. From 2012 through 2020, the company has grown cash flow from its property-casualty policies at an 11.5% compound annual growth rate.
The company has invested heavily in its technology and AI to underwrite better policies and handle claims quickly and efficiently. These investments help it stay ahead of its competition, which has seen younger insurance companies looking to leverage AI and big data to disrupt the entire industry.
Cincinnati Financial has shown an impressive history of consistently increasing its dividends. The company is a part of the exclusive Dividend Kings club -- stocks that have increased dividend payouts for at least 50 years straight. The company has increased its dividend 61 years consecutively, a feat that only eight other companies have achieved. It also sports a solid dividend yield of 2.1%.

Capitalizing on the power surge
AI is driving surging electricity demand. According to a Goldman Sachs estimate, U.S. data center power demand will more than double by 2027, rising from 31 gigawatts (GW) last year to 66 GW. AI data center power demand should continue to grow briskly over the next decade.
Power is one of the biggest bottlenecks in data center development. That plays right into Bloom Energy's hands, as its advanced fuel cells are fast-to-deploy on-site power solutions. For example, last year it delivered a fully operational fuel cell system to Oracle in just 55 days, more than a month ahead of its anticipated 90-day deployment schedule. That impressed the cloud giant, which expanded its strategic partnership with Bloom Energy to deploy up to 2.8 GW of its fuel cells to accelerate its AI infrastructure build-out. Bloom also formed a $5 billion strategic AI infrastructure partnership with Brookfield Asset Management last year to deploy its fuel cells into AI factories (specialized AI data centers).
The investment proposition
Those strategic partnerships are helping power robust growth for Bloom Energy. The company's revenue rocketed 130% in the first quarter to more than $750 million. Meanwhile, it produced $72.2 million in operating income (a $91.3 million jump) and generated $73.6 million in cash from operating activities (a $184.3 million year-over-year increase). Bloom expects to record between $3.4 billion and $3.8 billion in revenue this year, an 80% increase from last year at the midpoint (an acceleration from its initial expectation of 60% revenue growth), with improving profitability.
Bloom Energy's founder and CEO, KR Sridhar, believes his company is "ushering in the era of digital power for the digital age [and] rapidly becoming the standard and "go-to choice" for on-site power." That belief, along with the company's surging revenue and earnings, has helped power a big rise in the stock over the past year. Shares are up nearly 1,000% despite the recent 24% dip.
As a result, Bloom still trades at a premium valuation. It currently fetches nearly 18 times sales and over 110 times earnings. For comparison, that's higher than some of the fast-growing AI semiconductor and memory stocks:
Bloom Energy would have to continue delivering accelerated growth to justify that valuation multiple. If it runs into a speedbump, shares could take a tumble as investors lower their lofty expectations.
Bloom Energy is intriguing, but expensive
Bloom Energy is becoming the partner of choice for AI data center developers seeking a rapidly deployable power solution. That's driving robust growth for the advanced fuel cell maker. However, investors have already priced in significant growth. So, while the recent decline in Bloom's stock makes it more interesting, it's not yet to the point of being impossible to ignore.

Essentially, Brookfield Corporation has its own capital and collects capital from others. That cash is invested through Brookfield Corporation's ecosystem, which includes Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE: BAM) and a collection of publicly traded entities, such as Brookfield Renewable (NYSE: BEP) and Brookfield Infrastructure (NYSE: BIP). It is a bit complex, but think of Brookfield Corporation as the mastermind.

That said, Brookfield has long focused on buying, selling, and operating infrastructure assets on a global scale. These types of investments are often referred to as hard assets. They tend to hold up well during periods of high inflation because they provide vital services and thus have pricing power. Think hydroelectric power plants, shipping ports, and railroads, among other things.
Brookfield Corporation is well-positioned for higher for longer
Brookfield Corporation's first quarter 2026 results highlight the fundamental strength of the business. Despite interest rates rising, Distributable earnings before realizations increased by 7% year over year. The company is so confident in its position that it bought back $1 billion of shares across Brookfield Corporation and its controlled Brookfield Asset Management business.
With inflation running high, there's concern that more interest rate increases are in the cards. Or, at the very least, that rates will hold at current levels. That's not likely to be a problem for Brookfield Corporation given its investment focus. The infrastructure assets it owns will enable it to increase the fees it charges the users of those assets. That, in turn, will increase the value of these hard asset investments, leaving anyone who invested alongside Brookfield Corporation pleased as well. Brookfield Corporation's strong first quarter is simply a sign of the company's strength and long-term opportunity.
Anywhere along the Brookfield spectrum
The truth is, there are any number of Brookfield entities you could buy. For example, if you want to focus on renewable power, then Brookfield Renewable might be the best option for you. However, if you want to own the mastermind of the entire ecosystem, then the only choice is Brookfield Corporation.
It delivered 22% compound annual distributable earnings growth over the five years through June 2025, easily beating its target of 15%. And since there's no reason to believe that a higher-for-longer rate environment will derail Brookfield Corporation's infrastructure-focused business model, there's also no reason to doubt its ability to keep delivering strong results in the future.

This Alternative Asset Manager Looks Built for a Higher-for-Longer World

BlackRock (NYSE: BLK) and Blue Owl Capital (NYSE: OWL) have both imposed limits on redemptions from their privately traded credit funds. That has Wall Street on edge about the entire alternative asset space, with shares of Brookfield Corporation (NYSE: BN) having gone sideways so far in 2026 despite management's still bullish business outlook. The company isn't sitting around and waiting for investors to catch on to the opportunity.
Brookfield Corporation has a strong core
As an asset manager, Brookfield Corporation charges fees to invest on behalf of other people and businesses. In the first quarter of 2026, the company's fee-related earnings rose 11% year over year. Fee-bearing capital stood at $614 billion in the first quarter. It has a very solid foundation, and the business doesn't appear to be facing any material problems. However, Wall Street's concerns about the broader asset management space continue to weigh on the stock.

To be fair, the company is working through a business change, as it seeks to simply its operating structure. It basically wants to become more like Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKA)(BRKB), which operates as an investment-led insurance company. There are a lot of moving parts, but the goal is very clear, and the business continues to execute well. The business transition isn't a good enough reason to avoid the stock.
Brookfield Management isn't letting an investment opportunity slip by
What's interesting here is that Brookfield Management repurchased $1 billion in stock in the first quarter, split between its own stock and the stock of its controlled asset management business, Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE: BAM). Shares of Brookfield Asset Management are off by around 7% so far in 2026, as of this writing.
Regarding Brookfield Management, the company's average purchase price for its own stock was $41 per share in the quarter. It stated that this was a 40% discount to what it believes its intrinsic value to be. A little math suggests that Brookfield Management believes it is worth nearly $60 per share. The current stock price is roughly $46. Investors willing to buy while others are fearful could still have an opportunity here, essentially following management's lead.
Actions speak louder than words
It is easy for a company to say that it believes its shares are being mispriced by Wall Street. It is another thing entirely when a company, like Brookfield Management, actually steps in to buy stock and explains specifically how much value it sees in its own shares. This may or may not be the bottom for alternative asset managers, but this asset manager clearly sees an investment opportunity.
If you are looking at the finance sector, Brookfield Management is on the complex side, but it could also be trading at an attractive price. Or at least that's what the company is telling investors with both its words and its actions.

Brookfield Corporation Bought Back $1 Billion of Its Own Stock. Is This the Bottom for Alternative Asset Managers?

That has powered an epic surge in the advanced fuel cell maker's stock price.
I wrote put options on Bloom Energy to earn income and potentially buy shares at a much lower price.
Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE) has blossomed over the past year. Its advanced fuel cells have become the power solution of choice for energy-hungry data center developers. Robust demand for its offerings has powered a tremendous revenue surge, enabling the company to become increasingly profitable.
That has powered a blistering surge in the hydrogen stock, which has rocketed 1,470% over the last 12 months. As a result, it now trades at a rich valuation of 22 times sales and 135 times forward earnings. That's a bit too rich for my liking. While I want to be a long-term investor in Bloom Energy, I don't want to buy shares at the current lofty valuation. Here's my strategy to buy shares at a lower price, or at least earn some income from the high-powered energy stock.

Why I like Bloom Energy
Bloom Energy is emerging as a key enabler of the AI infrastructure boom. Data centers need a tremendous amount of power to run the compute infrastructure necessary to support AI applications. AI data center power demand in the U.S. alone could surpass 100 gigawatts (GW) by 2035, triple last year's level of 31 GW.
Securing power is becoming a major bottleneck in holding back data center expansion. That's leading large-scale data center developers to partner with Bloom Energy to help accelerate their development efforts. For example, cloud computing giant Oracle recently expanded its partnership with Bloom Energy to deploy up to 2.8 GW of fuel cell capacity to accelerate its AI infrastructure build-out. Meanwhile, Brookfield Asset Management formed a $5 billion AI infrastructure partnership with Bloom Energy late last year to deploy advanced fuel cells at AI factories (specialized AI data centers). As founder and CEO KR Sridhar stated in the first-quarter earnings press release, "Bloom is rapidly becoming the standard and 'go-to choice' for on-site power." The company expects to grow revenue by 80% this year, an acceleration from its initial expectation of 60%.
Cashing in while I wait for a pullback
I missed the massive rally in Bloom Energy stock because I wasn't sure whether it would fully capitalize on the AI data center power opportunity. However, it has quickly emerged as a leader in providing on-site power solutions for AI data centers. AI power is one of my highest conviction investment themes, which is why I'd like to add Bloom Energy to my portfolio.
However, I don't want to buy shares at any price. That's leading me to write put options to potentially buy the stock at a lower price while earning income. Due to the stock's high volatility, I was recently able to write puts on Bloom Energy to buy shares nearly 50% below the current price while still earning an attractive options premium payment. If shares crash over the next few months, I can buy them at that much lower price or potentially roll my options contract forward for more income. Meanwhile, if Bloom stock is above my strike price at expiration, I should be able to write new options to earn more income. The biggest downside is that if Bloom Energy's shares continue to skyrocket, I would miss out on those gains.
Earning income on a stock I like
I aim to keep about 10% of my portfolio in cash, half of which I use to write put options on the stocks I'd like to buy at lower prices. This strategy generates income on stocks I'd like to own if their prices come down, which I use to buy other stocks. Bloom Energy certainly fits this strategy. Its options pay very well, and it's an emerging leader in one of my highest-conviction investment themes that I'd love to buy at a lower price.

Realty Income
In theory, higher interest rates work against real estate investment trusts -- or REITs -- like Realty Income (NYSE: O). Not only do they raise the cost of buying, developing, and improving properties, but higher interest rates raise REITs' dividend yields to (risk-adjusted) market-based levels by lowering the price of the underlying ticker. That's why this stock has performed so poorly since early March; market-based interest rates on bonds and mortgages have been inching higher since then.
The stock's 11% pullback over the past three months, however, arguably overstates the headwind that Realty Income is likely to face for the foreseeable future. The fact of the matter is, this REIT's business is reliable and well-protected against almost any conceivable economic situation.
See, this REIT's focus is on retail tenants. At first blush, that might make it seem even riskier than other kinds of REITs, given the ongoing deterioration of the in-person shopping business. However, when you take a closer look at Realty Income's tenant list, you'll find reasons to feel reassured.
Its top renters include Dollar General, Walgreens, FedEx, Tractor Supply, and Home Depot. These aren't the consumer-facing companies that are struggling. These are the strongest of the survivors. That's why this company's occupancy rate hasn't been below 98% in over a decade, with the exception of 2020, when the pandemic dragged its occupancy down to still-impressive 97.9%.
Even more impressive is that Realty Income has now raised its monthly (yes, monthly) dividend payments every quarter for the past 28 years. This stock's weakness since early March has also pumped its forward dividend yield up to a sizable 5.3%.
MPLX
Most investors understand that energy stocks have performed so well of late because the military conflict with Iran has crimped global oil and natural gas supplies. Veteran investors also understand, however, that the sector-specific bullishness that's tethered to this geopolitical tension could fade just as quickly as it materialized if and when the conflict winds down.
MPLX (NYSE: MPLX) is in the energy business, but it's largely immune to this volatility. See, this company only transports and stores crude oil, natural gas, and other hydrocarbons for the industry's drillers, refiners, and other players. Moreover, it charges based on the amount of product pushed through its pipelines, or the amount of time that natural gas or oil is stored at one of its facilities. It wouldn't be wrong to think of MPLX as a tollbooth for the energy industry, which, of course, is an ideally suited business model for a dividend-paying company.
Here's the thing: We're not using any less oil or natural gas within the United States, where this company's operational assets are located. We're simply paying higher prices for it. The industry still needs to deliver as much of it from point A to point B as ever. This seems unlikely to change for the foreseeable future.
You'll probably never achieve massive capital gains with this stock; that's just not the way it's built. It's built amazingly well to generate reliable income, though, and reliable dividend growth. The current quarterly payment of just under $1.08 per share is more than 50% higher than it was just five years ago. Newcomers will be plugging into this name while its forward-looking yield stands at a beefy 7.8%.
Just know that MPLX is technically categorized as a partnership. Owning shares of such companies comes with some tricky tax rules that may make it less suitable for some investors.
Brookfield Asset Management
Finally, consider buying a stake in Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE: BAM) while its forward dividend yield is 4.1%. That's not huge, but this company has been growing its dividend payments quickly. They are up by more than 50% in just the past three years, with the hikes beginning shortly after it was spun out as a stand-alone business.
As the name suggests, Brookfield is in the fee-based asset management business. You may even hold shares of some of the publicly traded entities it manages, such as Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, Brookfield Renewable Partners, and Brookfield Business Corp. Each of these units has its own managers, and Brookfield Asset Management is the manager of those management teams. All of these businesses and structures collect recurring management fees, though, and pass along a fair amount of this fee-based cash flow to their respective shareholders, including Brookfield Asset Management's.
On the surface, it may seem like just another investment management firm among many. And in many regards, that's exactly what it is. Yet, it's different than most others in one important way: Its focus. It's not messing with the crowded index fund market. It's strictly locked in on some of the market's most promising opportunities right now, like power transmission, data storage, wind energy, solar power, and real estate management, to name a few.
Even by dividend stock standards, it's not exactly the most exciting of investment prospects. You don't need your investments to provide entertainment, though. You need them to help meet your financial goals. If income is one of those near-term and long-term goals, this often-overlooked option is a great one to consider.
Just don't get Brookfield Asset Management mixed up with its parent, Brookfield Corporation, which is meant to produce capital growth rather than regular dividends.

And today, one of his largest positions is Brookfield Corp. (NYSE: BN), a global investment firm with a diversified portfolio of business holdings -- accounting for 8.2% (close to a half-billion dollars) of the $6 billion total assets under management.
Akre's ownership alone does not make the stock a buy. But when a disciplined investor with a decades-long track record builds a huge position in a company, it is usually worth asking what he sees that others may be missing.
A business model designed to compound capital over decades
At first glance, Brookfield can look complicated. The company operates across infrastructure, renewable energy, private equity, insurance, and asset management.
Despite that complexity, Brookfield's core business model is fairly simple: to compound capital over time.
For instance, its asset management arm, Brookfield Asset Management, manages more than $1 trillion in assets and generates billions in recurring fee-related earnings. As more institutional capital flows toward alternative investments, that business still has plenty of room to grow.
Brookfield also owns a large portfolio of real assets that generate durable cash flow. These include infrastructure assets, renewable power projects, and private investments that often benefit from inflation-linked pricing and long-term contracts.
At the same time, the company has been rapidly expanding its insurance platform through Brookfield Wealth Solutions, which now manages more than $100 billion in assets. That gives Brookfield access to capital it can reinvest across its ecosystem.
In many ways, Brookfield is less a traditional asset manager and more a long-term capital compounding machine -- one that keeps reinvesting its capital and profits to generate long-term wealth.
Why Brookfield fits Akre's investing style
Akre has long favored businesses that fit into his three-legged stool framework -- particularly the third criterion of reinvesting capital at attractive rates for years.
Brookfield fits surprisingly well into that framework. The company controls assets that generate durable cash flow across infrastructure, renewable energy, and private credit. It also continues to reinvest capital in areas with significant demand, including insurance and real assets.
Importantly, Brookfield's approach is evident in the numbers. During the past 30 years, it has delivered a compound annual return of 19%, turning $1 of invested capital into $270.
Management has stated that it aims to increase intrinsic value by about 16% annually. During the past five years, the company reports that its plan value per share -- a metric to measure intrinsic value -- has grown at roughly 16% annually.
That track record gives credibility to the company's long-term targets. Moreover, as capital flows toward infrastructure, private credit, and real assets, Brookfield appears increasingly well positioned for the next decade.
What does it mean for investors?
Brookfield is not a simple company, and that complexity may keep some investors away.
But for investors like Akre, that may be exactly where the opportunity lies.
The company controls large pools of capital, owns durable, cash-flow-generating assets, and continues to reinvest across multiple growth areas. If management can continue compounding intrinsic value at anything close to its historical pace, the long-term upside could be meaningful.
That does not make Brookfield risk-free. Execution still matters, especially in areas like insurance and credit. But for investors willing to look past the complexity, Brookfield may be the type of business that they should consider for their long-term portfolio.

The differences between Brookfield and Brookfield Asset Management
Brookfield is a conglomerate that invests in real estate, transportation infrastructure, renewable energy, private equity, and credit markets. It's also in the process of absorbing its rapidly growing insurance business, Brookfield Wealth Solutions (NYSE: BNT), back into the company.
Most of Brookfield's profits come from the physical assets it owns -- such as hydroelectric dams, toll roads, and office buildings -- as well as its share of Brookfield Asset Management's profits. It invests most of that cash back into new assets, so it only pays a low forward yield of 0.6%.
Brookfield Asset Management was spun off as a "pure play" asset manager that raises the capital and manages Brookfield's actual investments. It doesn't buy or own Brookfield's hard assets; it only holds the rights to manage those properties and all of the capital pooled from its parent company and institutional investors.
Brookfield Asset Management generates most of its profits by charging management fees on all of the capital it manages, making it an asset-light alternative to Brookfield's capital-intensive business. That's why it can afford to pay a much higher forward dividend yield of 4.1%.
Why did Brookfield outperform Brookfield Asset Management?
Investors typically choose Brookfield's stock for direct exposure to its underlying assets, the appreciation of its net asset value (NAV), and the benefits of long-term compounding. Brookfield also owns nearly three-quarters of Brookfield Asset Management, so you're still getting a substantial cut of the spin-off's profits.
Those who want stable, fee-based income with less risk will generally prefer Brookfield Asset Management, but it won't benefit from the appreciation of Brookfield's underlying assets. Instead, its growth is primarily measured by its total assets under management (AUM). Simply put, it's designed to deliver more stability with less upside potential than Brookfield.
Brookfield Corporation struggled with soaring interest rates in 2022 and 2023, which made it more expensive to purchase new assets. But after the Fed cut its benchmark rates six consecutive times in 2024 and 2025, its real estate, infrastructure, and green energy businesses warmed up again. Its stake in Brookfield Wealth Solutions, which was competely separate from Brookfield Asset Management, also became a major growth engine.
Brookfield Asset Management remained a stable investment that attracted more income-seeking investors as interest rates fell. Still, its rising AUM couldn't keep pace with the rising NAV of Brookfield Corporation's underlying assets.
Will Brookfield continue to deliver bigger returns?
Brookfield is usually valued by its distributable earnings (DE) per share (before realizations), which reflect the "true" cash generated by its core business, rather than its earnings per share (EPS). That figure rose 11% in 2025, and analysts anticipate 19%-23% growth in 2026. At $46, it still looks cheap at 17 times this year's midpoint estimate.
Brookfield Asset Management is valued by its fee-related earnings (FRE) per share, or the recurring fees that fund its dividends. That figure grew 22% in 2025, and analysts expect 14%-17% growth in 2026. At $49, it trades at 23 times the midpoint of that estimate. That range ($2.10-$2.15) should also easily cover its forward dividend rate of $2.01 per share.
Both of these stocks look healthy, but they'll continue to attract different types of investors. As long as interest rates don't abruptly skyrocket, Brookfield should continue to outperform Brookfield Asset Management this year as its business grows at a faster rate. Brookfield also looks cheaper relative to its near-term growth potential, so it's still the smarter buy right now.

Brookfield Corporation or Brookfield Asset Management: Which One Is the Smarter Buy?

The nuclear energy market cooled for roughly a decade after the Fukushima disaster in 2011, prompting many countries to pause their nuclear projects. But over the past few years, new decarbonization initiatives, safer nuclear reactors, and the expansion of the AI, cloud, and data center markets have driven more companies to restart their nuclear energy projects.
According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the world's nuclear capacity could increase by more than 50% from 2025 to 2050. To capitalize on that trend, investors should look for nuclear companies that control crucial parts of the global nuclear energy supply chain. Two of those companies are Cameco (NYSE: CCJ) and BWX Technologies (NYSE: BWXT).

Cameco
Cameco, which mined roughly 15% of the world's uranium in 2025, is the world's second-largest uranium miner after Kazatomprom, Kazakhstan's national atomic company. It's based in Canada, and it operates mines across Canada, the U.S., and Kazakhstan.
Cameco struggled for years after the Fukushima disaster in 2011. Uranium's spot price plunged from $62.25 per pound in 2011 to $35.00 in 2020, forcing Cameco to temporarily shut down its largest mines and mills. That reduced production throttled its revenue growth.
But by the end of this April, uranium's spot price had bounced back to $86.35 per pound. Citi analysts expect it to rise as high as $125 per pound this year, as the resurgent interest in nuclear energy drives the demand for uranium to outstrip its supply. Cameco restarted its mines and mills to meet that soaring demand, but its supply remains tight.
Cameco also partnered with Brookfield Asset Management to acquire Westinghouse Electric, one of the world's leading nuclear technology companies, in 2023. That investment reduced Cameco's exposure to volatile uranium prices and marked a major step toward its evolution into a more diversified nuclear energy company.
From 2025 to 2028, analysts expect Cameco's revenue and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) to grow at CAGRs of 8% and 12%, respectively. With an enterprise value of $61.5 billion, it isn't cheap at 33 times this year's adjusted EBITDA -- but the soaring demand for uranium could justify that higher valuation. It only pays a paltry forward yield of 0.2%, but its low payout ratio of 16% gives it ample room for future hikes.
BWX Technologies
BWX is the only large-scale producer of specialized nuclear components, fuel systems, and naval reactor systems in North America. It's also one of the only companies authorized to work with regulated nuclear materials, handle high-assay enriched uranium (HALEU) and tri-structural isotropic (TRISO) fuel, and produce naval reactor components for the U.S. Navy.
Those qualities make BWX, which was spun off from Babcock & Wilcox in 2025, a linchpin and bellwether of the nuclear energy market. Its heavy exposure to the defense sector also insulated it from the broader slowdown in nuclear spending after the Fukushima disaster.
At the end of 2025, BWX's backlog grew 50% year over year to $7.3 billion as it produced more naval propulsion components for submarines, sold more commercial nuclear power components, and expanded its fledgling small modular reactor (SMR) business -- which produces smaller and easier-to-deploy nuclear reactors for remote areas. The rapid expansion of the power-hungry AI and data center markets should drive more companies to adopt SMRs.
From 2025 to 2028, analysts expect BWX's revenue and adjusted EBITDA to grow at CAGRs of 13% and 12%, respectively. With an enterprise value of $19.5 billion, it isn't a bargain at 30 times this year's adjusted EBITDA.
However, BWX's scale, diversification, and wide moat could justify that premium valuation as its defense and commercial customers ramp up their nuclear spending. It only pays a forward yield of 0.5% today, but its low payout ratio of 27% also gives it plenty of room to raise its dividend.

Expanding billion-dollar partnerships
Bloom Energy's fuel cell systems deliver prompt, dependable on-site power for data centers, meeting the rapid energy requirements of AI that the conventional grid struggles to support. That has led to large partnerships as tech and infrastructure companies work to build out data center capacity.
Last year, Bloom announced a $5 billion partnership with Brookfield Asset Management's infrastructure arm to supply its fuel cell technology to data centers that Brookfield is funding. In its recent quarterly report, Brookfield Infrastructure Partners said it has expanded that relationship by adding another $430 in capital for an additional project, bringing the already committed capital to $1.6 billion. Bloom also has a partnership with Oracle that it expanded last month.
That business backlog has Bloom stock soaring. As with any momentum stock, though, Bloom's valuation already accounts for future revenue. Sales are growing quickly, with revenue soaring 130% year over year in the first quarter.
But with an $80 billion market cap, that future business is now priced in. Long term, Bloom is likely to continue to grow its capacity to support more business. But in the short term, investors might want to wait for a pullback in Bloom shares before jumping in near the highs.
