But the current volatility with oil due to the possibility of the Strait of Hormuz being closed or even possibly mined likely has many more countries looking into more nuclear power if they weren't already.
Fortunately for investors tired of oil volatility, there are several companies operating in the nuclear industry that are worth a look. Here are some of the best.
Fueling the future
Up first is Canada's Cameco (NYSE: CCJ), which is one of the largest uranium miners in the world.
It was responsible for 15% of all the uranium produced globally last year. It's the second-largest uranium miner in the world, behind only Kazatomprom, Kazakhstan's state-run miner.
Cameco operates both the largest high-grade uranium mine in the world at McArthur River and has one of the highest-grade uranium mines in the world at Cigar Lake.
On the back of uranium's 34% price growth over the past year, Cameco generated revenue of $3.4 billion, up 11% over 2024. It's also worth nothing that prior to the Iran conflict, uranium was the only energy resource that had gone up over the past year.
And, for operating in an industry as capital-intensive as mining is, Cameco still manages a net profit margin of 16.9% and has a very healthy debt-to-equity ratio of 0.14.
But Cameco does more than just mine uranium, though that is the core of its business and where it generates the bulk of its revenue.
The company also operates a uranium refinery and fuel production facilities, and it holds 49% of Westinghouse.
Westinghouse, which Cameco holds as a joint venture with Brookfield Asset Management, is an engineering company that designs and builds nuclear reactors like the AP1000, which is the most advanced commercially available reactor on the market.
With Cameco you have an investment in almost every part of the nuclear fuel production cycle, from the mines to the reactors to the uranium powers.
Pint-sized power plants
One of the most interesting developments in nuclear technology in recent years has been small modular reactors (SMRs), which are miniaturized nuclear power plants that could potentially power data center clusters and remote facilities.
And one of the best companies working on SMRs has over seven decades of experience building small-scale nuclear reactors: BWX Technologies (NYSE: BWXT).
Since the 1950s, when it designed components for America's first nuclear submarine, BWX has produced over 400 naval nuclear reactors. And, while there are currently no SMRs up and running anywhere in the world, BWX's BANR power plant is one of the most promising prototypes and would be capable of generating 50 megawatts of power from a factory-built plant a fraction of the size of a conventional nuclear plant.
There are other SMR companies developing the technology, but many of them are small companies that are solely focused on SMR technology. For BWX it's a project and not the core of its business.
So, BWX has reliable and growing revenue and is not reliant on an influx of investor dollars or a contract coming through to build its SMRs. That makes it a less risky prospect than pure-play SMR companies.
Speaking of, that revenue came in at $3.19 billion last year, up 18% over 2024 and the company's earnings per share (EPS) grew 20% over the same period. The company also maintains a strong net margin of 10.3%.
BWX is a leader in small reactor technology and a safer way to play the potential of SMRs than many of its competitors.
Star power
Finally, there's Constellation Energy (NASDAQ: CEG), which is the largest green energy producer in the United States and the country's largest producer of nuclear power.
There are currently 94 nuclear reactors in the United States spread across 54 power plants that collectively generate 20% of the country's electricity. Constellation operates 21 of them, or a little over 1/5 of America's entire nuclear reactor fleet.
For 2025, Constellation saw a solid revenue increase of 8% over 2024 and the company's adjusted operating EPS also grew 8%. It also maintains a net margin of 9.1% and pays a dividend that yields 0.83% at current prices.
And, the company announced a 10% increase in its dividend per share at the end of 2025 with another 10% increase planned this year.
With these three stocks, you give your portfolio exposure to every part of the nuclear industry, from the uranium mine to the reactor to the generation of power, and you'll be set to profit from nuclear energy's renaissance.

Bloom stock has been soaring due to energy demand driven by rapidly expanding data center capacity. Bloom offers an alternative to power supplied by the electrical grid, which drains capacity and raises prices. Its on-site fuel cell option provides a solution to a growing problem.
Investors, including Brookfield Asset Management, noticed this months ago. Brookfield entered into an agreement to invest up to $5 billion to deploy Bloom's fuel cell technology for data center applications.
This week, though, soaring oil prices have investors pouring into Bloom stock. Data centers are just one application for its technology, after all. Bloom has been supplying its local power platform to manufacturing facilities long before data centers made headlines.
The company recorded its second consecutive year of positive cash flow from operations in 2025, totaling $113.9 million. With the backing of Brookfield and demand from data centers continuing to grow, Bloom's sales trajectory should continue to accelerate.

Why There Could Be More to Come After Bloom Energy Stock Soared This Week?

Legendary investor Warren Buffett advises to be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful. One way we can try to measure the level of fear in a given stock is through a technical analysis indicator called the Relative Strength Index, or RSI, which measures momentum on a scale of zero to 100. A stock is considered to be oversold if the RSI reading falls below 30.
In trading on Friday, shares of Brookfield Asset Management Ltd (Symbol: BAM) entered into oversold territory, hitting an RSI reading of 29.8, after changing hands as low as $42.92 per share. By comparison, the current RSI reading of the S&P 500 ETF (SPY) is 31.8. A bullish investor could look at BAM's 29.8 RSI reading today as a sign that the recent heavy selling is in the process of exhausting itself, and begin to look for entry point opportunities on the buy side. Shares of the clean energy stock are up almost 50% in 2026, easily outpacing the broader market. This comes after an astonishing performance in 2025 in which Bloom stock ended the year with a 291% gain.

The stock is riding twin tailwinds of clean energy and AI data center constructions. But whether Bloom stock can surge 36% from today's price to $200 will depend on more than just the latest investing trend.
AI needs power, and Bloom fuel cells may hold the answer
Bloom is in the business of on-site power generation, a highly sought-after business right now.
Its flagship product is a box-like solid oxide fuel cell system that converts fuel (like natural gas) into electricity without combustion. These boxes are modular and can be installed within 90 days or less. A cluster of these servers can combine to provide reliable power at facilities like data centers, factories, and hospitals.
Bloom is currently one of several energy companies positioned to profit from a power-hungry future of AI infrastructure. Unlike most of these companies, which are still pre-revenue and trying to get a product to market, Bloom is already selling its servers to companies whose names you probably know. The marquee list includes blue chip favorites like Walmart and Verizon, along with key players in data center construction like Equinix, Oracle, and CoreWeave.
Bloom also entered a strategic $5 billion partnership with Brookfield Asset Management last October in which Bloom's servers will become the preferred onsite power provider for Brookfield's AI factories.
Bloom's financials, however, are still a work in progress. It recorded $777 million in fourth-quarter revenue -- a record -- yet it only managed about $1.1 million in net income. On the balance sheet, it reported about $2.5 billion in cash and equivalents, but its total liabilities sit at an uncomfortable $3.6 billion.
In other words, Bloom is growing fast, but its business is barely breaking even. Clearly, demand is strong for its servers, but with profitability thin and the balance sheet leveraged, the company hasn't exactly proven it can deliver blow-out numbers from all this growth.
Is Bloom Energy stock going to $200?
Bloom Energy stock is trading about 560% higher than this time last year. That's an eye-watering performance that's highly unlikely to be repeated anytime soon.
Even a modest -- comparatively more modest -- gain of 36% from today's price to $200 would push this stock's premium valuation into unstable territory. Today, it trades at over 16 times sales, which is more than four times the average of other clean energy companies. Assuming that Bloom meets its revenue outlook for 2026 ($3.1 billion to $3.3 billion), a $200 share price would keep its price-to-sales multiple between 14 and 15.
The demand from data center constructions will likely contribute to Bloom's top-line growth. I think that will be the headline for 2026. Will it be enough to push Bloom into all-time highs? Maybe. Until it can widen margins and improve profitability, however, I don't think $200 a share will last.

Is Bloom Energy Stock Going to $200?

Investors in Brookfield Asset Management Ltd (Symbol: BAM) saw new options become available today, for the May 15th expiration. At Stock Options Channel, our YieldBoost formula has looked up and down the BAM options chain for the new May 15th contracts and identified one put and one call contract of particular interest.
The put contract at the $42.50 strike price has a current bid of 30 cents. If an investor was to sell-to-open that put contract, they are committing to purchase the stock at $42.50, but will also collect the premium, putting the cost basis of the shares at $42.20 (before broker commissions). To an investor already interested in purchasing shares of BAM, that could represent an attractive alternative to paying $44.63/share today.
Because the $42.50 strike represents an approximate 5% discount to the current trading price of the stock (in other words it is out-of-the-money by that percentage), there is also the possibility that the put contract would expire worthless. The current analytical data (including greeks and implied greeks) suggest the current odds of that happening are 65%. Should the contract expire worthless, the premium would represent a 0.71% return on the cash commitment, or 3.85% annualized — at Stock Options Channel we call this the YieldBoost.

Turning to the calls side of the option chain, the call contract at the $47.50 strike price has a current bid of 70 cents. If an investor was to purchase shares of BAM stock at the current price level of $44.63/share, and then sell-to-open that call contract as a "covered call," they are committing to sell the stock at $47.50. Considering the call seller will also collect the premium, that would drive a total return (excluding dividends, if any) of 8.00% if the stock gets called away at the May 15th expiration (before broker commissions). Of course, a lot of upside could potentially be left on the table if BAM shares really soar, which is why looking at the trailing twelve month trading history for Brookfield Asset Management Ltd, as well as studying the business fundamentals becomes important. Considering the fact that the $47.50 strike represents an approximate 6% premium to the current trading price of the stock (in other words it is out-of-the-money by that percentage), there is also the possibility that the covered call contract would expire worthless, in which case the investor would keep both their shares of stock and the premium collected. The current analytical data (including greeks and implied greeks) suggest the current odds of that happening are 56%. Should the covered call contract expire worthless, the premium would represent a 1.57% boost of extra return to the investor, or 8.54% annualized, which we refer to as the YieldBoost.

Investing $1,000 usually isn't a stressful endeavor simply because (for most households anyway) it's not a life-changing amount of money; a luxury handbag or a nice weekend getaway can easily cost just as much.
Figuring out how to put $50,000 to work generating passive income, however, is a different story. This is a much more serious amount of money for most people, and must be handled in a way that makes the most effective use of it while minimizing risk.

To this end, here's a rundown of five dividend stocks to consider if you're looking to invest a bigger sum of money to produce reliable recurring income. In the same order you'll likely want to add them to your portfolio...
1. Verizon
If you're looking for some capital appreciation even from your dividend-paying holdings, Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) offers some, but not nearly enough to view it as even a modest growth holding. It's first and foremost (and almost entirely) an income stock. But it plays this role extremely well, offering newcomers a chance to plug into a forward-looking yield of 5.6%, which is based on a dividend that's now been raised for 19 consecutive years.
The reason these payments are apt to endure indefinitely isn't tough to figure out. Most people living in the U.S. market it serves are practically addicted to their mobile phones, and have no intention of giving them up. Harmony Healthcare IT reports the average American spends more than five hours every day looking at their phone screen, for perspective.
2. Realty Income
Technically speaking, it's not a stock ... at least not in the sense that most investors understand publicly traded shares of conventional corporations. Although it's bought and sold via an exchange like any other ticker, Realty Income (NYSE: O) is a real estate investment trust, or REIT, for short. That just means it owns a bunch of revenue-generating real estate. As long as the majority of its profits are passed along to shareholders in the form of dividends, it's not first taxed at the corporate level. That ultimately means its investors put more money in their pockets.
That's not the chief reason that income-seeking investors might want to own this or any other REIT though. For that matter, neither is its respectable forward-looking yield of 4.9%. Rather, the most compelling aspect of owning a stake in Realty Income is that it makes its dividend payments every month rather than every quarter, at the same cadence people incur bills. The fact that it's also raised its annualized per-share payout every year for the past 31 years, of course, only bolsters the bullish argument.
3. ADP
With just a passing look, Automatic Data Processing (NASDAQ: ADP) -- you'll likely know the payroll processor by its more familiar name, "ADP" -- doesn't look like a heroic income-generating stock. Its dividend yield of 3.2% is OK, but hardly thrilling.
Now take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Over the course of the past 10 years this reliably profitable company's quarterly per-share dividend payment has more than doubled, from $0.53 in early 2016 to $1.70 per share now, extending a long-established pace of dividend growth. It's just the nature of its business model paired with the additions of related offerings like personnel time and attendance solutions, benefits management, employee recruitment, and other HR functions.
4. Brookfield Asset Management
Just as the name suggests, Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE: BAM) is an investment management outfit. It oversees a handful of publicly traded partnerships that bear the same Brookfield name, in fact, scraping off a small fee from these entities' total values every calendar quarter.
The company is compellingly different than most other mutual fund and exchange-traded fund (ETF) managers though. Rather than establishing investment pools that will buy anything and everything, Brookfield is hyper-focused on proven growth industries like renewable energy, artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, water infrastructure, logistics, power distribution, and more. Moreover, most of its holdings are privately owned organizations rather than publicly traded entities, giving investors a chance to own stakes in attractive businesses that aren't investable in a conventional brokerage account.
Perhaps more important, while this ticker's forward-looking yield of 4.3% is solid to be sure, the company's long-term annualized growth target of between 15% and 20% per year is completely achievable, given the nature of its underlying businesses. Indeed, this year's per-share payment is 15% better than last year's, which was 15% better than 2023's.
5. JPMorgan Equity Premium Income ETF
Lastly, if you already own the four dividend stocks above (or enough names like them with similar yields and risk profiles), consider adding the JPMorgan Equity Premium Income ETF (NYSEMKT: JEPI) to your portfolio while its trailing 30-day dividend yield stands at just under 7%.
That big number comes with an equally big footnote. That is, this yield isn't consistent. Sometimes it's less. Other times it's more. Over the course of the past 12 months its dividend yield has averaged over 8%, but at times it can be measurably less than its current 7%.
Given the sheer size of its monthly (yes, monthly) payouts most of the time though, this uncertainty may be worth it to investors who are also already collecting more predictable passive income from other holdings.
The JPMorgan Equity Premium Income ETF is able to generate this sort of income by "writing" covered call options. That just means it sells call options on stocks it also owns, essentially using these stock positions as collateral for these option trades that might eventually need to be undone one way or another. Whether or not it gets to keep these shares or is forced to sell them doesn't change the fact, however, that writing -- or selling -- covered call options repeatedly generates real cash flow.
The only arguable catch here is that JEPI's price tends to underperform its benchmark S&P 500 essentially because it's converting what could have been long-term capital gains into short-term income. In other words, you'll achieve about the same overall net return with this JPMorgan ETF that you would with an S&P 500 index fund. You'll just be achieving most of it in the form of dividend income rather than through price appreciation.

Here's a look at four boring dividend stocks that make for fantastic long-term income holdings.
1. Procter & Gamble
It doesn't get much more mundane than dishwashing detergent, diapers, toothpaste, and laundry supplies. There's a clear upside to being in these businesses, though. These are products that people buy over and over again. The key to sustained success in these markets is often just achieving enough scale and market dominance to keep your per-unit production cost low and your pricing power high.
Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) has done exactly that. Its Tide laundry detergent makes up roughly 40% of the U.S. market, while Pampers diapers' control of the domestic market is about half. In fact, most of the products in its portfolio regularly lead their respective categories.
Perhaps the unsung hero in P&G's enduring success, however, is its sheer size and what that means in terms of marketing its goods. Not only does the company have a great deal of leverage it can use to ensure its retail partners prominently feature its products, it's simply got a bigger checkbook to fund its promotional efforts. The company spent a whopping $9.2 billion on advertising alone last year. Its competitors just can't match that.
Perhaps more important to income-minded investors, P&G has now raised its annualized dividend payment for 69 consecutive years. You'd be plugging into this stock's track record while the forward-looking yield stands at 2.6%.
2. Brookfield Asset Management
There's nothing exciting about the investment management business, either. Fund managers pick stocks, and charge a modest quarterly percentage based on the amount of money they're tending. Surprisingly enough, performance doesn't mean much here. Maybe that's because most of these managers ultimately underperform the overall market, while the ones that do beat it typically don't do so for very long.
Still, it's an ideal business model for supporting reliable, recurring dividend payments.
While Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE: BAM) isn't really structured any differently than any other name in the investment management business, it's a compelling standout in one way. It's only focused on industries with above-average long-term growth potential. Brookfield is the name behind Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners, and Brookfield Business Partners. That puts it in businesses like water management, AI data centers, solar energy production, logistics, hydroelectric power, and several other increasingly important industries.
It's also just good at what it does -- picking the right businesses in the first place and then managing them well. Based on its historical track record (this year's quarterly per-share payout is up 15% from 2025's payment, for perspective), this company's long-term revenue and dividend growth target of between 15% and 20% seems very achievable.
3. Automatic Data Processing
Automatic Data Processing (NASDAQ: ADP) is the payroll processor you may know better as ADP (yawn!). One out of every six U.S. workers receive their paychecks from this service provider.
That seems like it could be a potential problem. Given all that artificial intelligence can do these days, maybe it's only a matter of time before AI negates the need for this company's service.
Don't count Automatic Data Processing out just yet, however, for a handful of reasons.
Chief among these reasons is the fact that ADP is so much more than just a payroll processor. Employee time and attendance solutions, benefits management, recruitment, compliance (when and where it's needed), and more are all in its wheelhouse. These are all nuanced and organization-specific HR functions that can't be easily outsourced to an automated platform. Payroll taxes are also a matter that most institutions aren't quite ready to let AI wholly handle either, since fixing any errors could be a considerable headache.
For what it's worth, Automatic Data Processing is embracing artificial intelligence in areas and ways where it makes sense to do so, allowing the company to offer more efficient and effective tools to its 1.1 million customers. Its 51-year streak of annual dividend increases isn't in jeopardy -- at least, not yet.
This stock's yielding 3.2%, by the way.
4. Coca-Cola
How would you like to step into a boring stock that's upped its per-share payout for an incredible 64 years? Beverage giant Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) has done it, with no end to the track record in sight.
The secret to its long-term dependability isn't really a secret. Not only is its namesake cola one of the world's best-known and most beloved beverages, The Coca-Cola Company is also parent to a slew of other popular brands, including Gold Peak tea, Minute Maid juices, Glaceau water, Costa Coffee, and Powerade sports drink. It's got something to sell consumers despite their ever-changing preferences.
Even more compelling to income-minded investors is the underlying business model.
Contrary to a common assumption, Coca-Cola does very little bottling of its own products anymore. Unlike rival PepsiCo, it punts most of this work to third-party bottlers, who also handle distribution duties. While it seemingly shouldn't matter who does this work, this model takes a great deal of the cost-based risk off Coca-Cola's books, allowing it to focus on what it does best. That's marketing its brands so well that they become lifestyle choices.
Newcomers will be stepping into a forward-looking yield of 2.6%, which isn't huge. However, it's based on a dividend that's grown nearly 90% over the course of just the past 10 years. It will grow into a powerhouse income-producing holding soon enough.
