U.S. industrial and manufacturing stocks are seeing a massive price surge from the artificial intelligence (AI) data center boom. U.S. industrial firms are profiting immensely through increased demand for electrical grid equipment, advanced cooling systems, and specialized semiconductor packaging.
Demand for these products is likely to remain buoyant as four major hyperscalers raised their AI capital expenditure budget to $750 billion for 2026 from $670 billion estimated earlier. This figure is set to cross $1 trillion next year and is likely to rise further beyond 2027.
Here, we recommend five U.S. industrial stocks that have thrived in 2026 with more firepower in their cylinders supported by growing demand for AI-powered data center infrastructure products.
The stocks are: Caterpillar Inc. CAT, Modine Manufacturing Co. MOD, Quanta Services Inc. PWR, Comfort Systems USA Inc. FIX and Vertiv Holdings Co. VRT.

Caterpillar Inc.
Caterpillar is gaining from rising AI data-center-related power demand. As big technology companies establish data centers globally to support their generative AI applications, CAT is witnessing robust order levels for reciprocating engines for data centers. The company is planning to double its output with a multi-year capital investment. CAT currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
CAT has also revised its target of growing Power Generation sales to more than 3.0X from the earlier stated 2.0X target by 2030. CAT announced another agreement to provide PROPWR up to 2.1 gigawatts of large gas generator sets for prime power generation in support of data center, oil and gas and industrial applications.
Caterpillar has an expected revenue and earnings growth rate of 13.2% and 29.4%, respectively, for the current year. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year’s earnings has improved 7.8% in the last 30 days.
Modine Manufacturing Co.
Modine has emerged as one of the big beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure boom. As hyperscalers race to build AI-ready data centers, the need for advanced cooling solutions has become critical, and Modine is positioned to benefit from that.
For fiscal 2026, AI-powered data center sales grew 73% and exceeded $1.1 billion, highlighting the strength of demand from AI infrastructure customers. Moreover, MOD entered into a landmark agreement to supply more than $4 billion worth of cooling products between 2027 and 2029.
MOD expects AI data center revenues to grow 60-80% in fiscal 2027 and believes growth can remain between 50% and 70% beyond that. To support this demand, MOD is expanding its U.S. manufacturing footprint, with chiller production capacity expected to double by the end of fiscal 2027. MOD currently carries a Zacks Rank #3.
Modine has an expected revenue and earnings growth rate of 26.8% and 54%, respectively, for the current year (ending March 2027). The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year’s earnings has improved 1.7% in the last seven days.
Quanta Services Inc.
Quanta Services’ mix across transmission and distribution, grid hardening, renewable integration and generation gives it multiple paths to participate as those plans become multi-year capital programs.
Surging AI-related power demand and expanding utility investments are driving data center project opportunities, making data centers a central pillar of PWR’s long-term growth strategy. PWR is heavily investing in deepening its vertical supply chain to offset the ongoing global uncertainties and rising inflation. The company expects to invest $500-$700 million over the next several years in power transformer manufacturing facilities and related strategy, which is intended to double transformer manufacturing capacity.
Quanta Services has an expected revenue and earnings growth rate of 21.5% and 29.7%, respectively, for the current year. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year’s earnings has improved 6.2% over the last 60 days.
Comfort Systems USA Inc.
Comfort Systems operates primarily in the commercial and industrial heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) markets, and performs most of its services within manufacturing plants, office buildings, retail centers, apartment complexes, and healthcare, education and government facilities. FIX currently sports a Zacks Rank #1.
The data center boom, driven by AI, cloud computing, and high-performance computing, is fueling demand for specialized HVAC solutions from FIX. Cooling systems for these facilities should deliver precise and reliable performance, prompting investments in advanced technologies such as liquid cooling and modular units.

Vertiv Holdings benefits from an extensive product portfolio, which spans thermal systems, liquid cooling, UPS, switchgear, busbar, and modular solutions. Buoyed by unprecedented data center growth, VRT is strategically expanding capacity to accelerate its AI-enabled pipeline.
VRT also benefited from the accelerating digital transformation driven by AI and data center demand. Acquisitions have also played a vital role, with Great Lakes enhancing IT systems and white space solutions, and Weeleay boosting service capabilities through real-time machine data analysis and predictive actions.

Consider Nvidia, for instance, which became the face of the AI boom, but also spawned highly successful secondary beneficiaries of AI infrastructure spending, such as Vertiv, Arista Networks, and Super Micro.
A SpaceX IPO is likely to create a similar effect, directing capital toward smaller space companies involved in launch services, satellite technology, and communications infrastructure.
Here are three worth watching.
Rocket Lab
If there's one company that could become the "alternative" to SpaceX in the public markets, it's Rocket Lab (NASDAQ: RKLB).
Rocket Lab started as a small launch provider, but today it operates across multiple segments of the space economy. It launches rockets, builds satellites, manufactures spacecraft components, and is developing its larger Neutron rocket (a partially reusable rocket fueled by liquid oxygen and liquid methane) for future commercial and government missions.
While SpaceX dominates launch services, there will be a flood of investors looking for another publicly traded company with launch capabilities, satellite manufacturing operations, and growing revenue. This is what Rocket Lab offers.
In 2025, Rocket Lab reported record revenue of approximately $602 million, up 38% year over year. The company also ended the year with a record $1.85 billion backlog, providing substantial visibility into future business.
The momentum has continued into 2026, too.
In Q1, Rocket Lab reported record revenue of $200 million and exceeded management's guidance for revenue, gross margin, and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA).
The company also ended the quarter with a record backlog of more than $2 billion.
Of course, this doesn't mean Rocket Lab becomes the next SpaceX. But it doesn't have to.
At a market capitalization that's still only a fraction of SpaceX's expected valuation, even a modest increase in investor interest could have an outsized impact on the stock.
Redwire
Redwire (NYSE: RDW) represents a different way to invest in the space industry.
Instead of focusing on rockets, the company builds many of the technologies that make space missions possible. Its products include solar arrays, sensors, avionics, robotic systems, and other components used by commercial, civil, and defense customers.
Think of Redwire as a supplier to the broader space ecosystem.
The company generated approximately $335 million in revenue during 2025 and continues to expand its presence in satellite infrastructure, national security programs, and commercial space projects.
In Q1 2026, Redwire reported $97 million in revenue, while boasting a record backlog of $498.1 million.
AST SpaceMobile
AST SpaceMobile (NASDAQ: ASTS) is the highest-risk stock on this list, as the company still hasn't deployed a full commercial constellation capable of providing continuous global service.
That said, it could also offer the greatest upside.
The company's goal is to create a satellite network that connects directly to ordinary smartphones without requiring specialized hardware.
If successful, the addressable market is enormous.
Global wireless service revenue exceeds $1 trillion annually, and AST doesn't need to capture much of that market to create substantial value. If the company were eventually able to generate just $5 per month from 50 million users, that would translate into roughly $3 billion in annual revenue. At 100 million users, annual revenue would approach $6 billion.
And here's the rub: AST has already signed agreements with carriers representing more than 3 billion subscribers, including AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, and Rakuten.
What makes AST particularly interesting in the context of a SpaceX IPO, however, is Starlink.
The market views Starlink as one of SpaceX's most valuable assets. Once SpaceX begins trading, we will likely get a much clearer valuation on satellite-based communications businesses.
That could benefit AST as investors search for additional ways to invest in the same long-term trend.
Beyond SpaceX
To be clear, none of these companies is guaranteed to double.
But major IPOs often create a halo effect that extends far beyond the company going public.
SpaceX has become the dominant force in commercial space. Its public debut will likely bring new investors into the sector and encourage others to look for smaller companies with exposure to launch services, satellite infrastructure, communications, and space technology.
Rocket Lab, Redwire, and AST SpaceMobile each provide exposure to a different corner of that ecosystem.
And if SpaceX's IPO sparks a wave of enthusiasm for the broader space economy, all three could benefit from investor attention that extends well beyond SpaceX itself.

3 IT Services Stocks to Buy Right Now From a Challenging Industry

C3.ai, Inc. AI reported a narrower-than-expected loss for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 (ended April 30, 2026), while revenues topped estimates. On a year-over-year basis, both metrics fell sharply.
AI stock gained 3.6% during yesterday’s after-market trading session, following the earnings release.
The quarterly performance reflected a sharp year-over-year decline in total revenues, caused by weaker contributions from both the subscription and professional services businesses. Operating results were also pressured by the cost structure relative to the reduced revenue base, even as the company worked to lower expenses.
Despite these challenges, C3.ai continued to advance its customer deployment activity, including signing new initial production deployments and expanding its footprint across both federal and commercial customers. Management emphasized ongoing restructuring actions designed to improve operating efficiency, reduce cash burn and position the business to return to growth and sustained non-GAAP profitability.
AI’s Q4 Highlights
The company incurred an adjusted loss per share of 33 cents for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, narrower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of 38 cents. The result represented an earnings surprise of 13.2%. In the year-ago quarter, it reported an adjusted loss per share of 16 cents.

Quarterly revenues came in at $51.6 million, down 52.5% year over year, but beat the consensus mark of $50 million by 3.2%. Management pointed to a broad restructuring and operating reset, while the company signed nine initial production deployments (IPDs) during the quarter.
AI Shows Subscription-Led Quarterly Mix
Subscription revenues were $48.4 million, down 44.6% from $87.3 million in the year-ago quarter. Professional services revenues fell 85% year over year to $3.2 million. Professional services revenues included prioritized engineering services and service fees, both of which declined from the prior-year period.
Within services, prioritized engineering services (PES) represented a meaningful portion of professional services revenues. The company noted that subscription revenue plus PES combined represented nearly all quarterly revenues, underscoring management’s stated emphasis on software-led monetization.
AI’s Profitability Picture Reflects Lower Scale
Adjusted gross profit in the fiscal fourth quarter declined year over year to $19.3 million from $75.2 million, with adjusted gross margins contracted to 37% from 69% a year ago, reflecting the sharp reduction in revenues versus the prior-year period.
Operating leverage remained unfavorable at the current revenue base. On a non-GAAP basis, AI posted an operating loss of $54.4 million and reported operating expenses of $106 million, which management said reflected a sizable reduction from the prior-year quarter’s expense level.
AI’s Balance Sheet & Cash Flow
At the end of the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, C3.ai had cash and cash equivalents of $66.2 million, down from $164.4 million at fiscal 2025-end. Total cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities were $575.4 million, down from $742.7 million a year earlier.
Net cash used in operating activities was $54.4 million in the fiscal fourth quarter compared with net cash provided by operating activities of $11.3 million in the year-ago quarter. Free cash flow was negative $54.8 million versus positive $10.3 million a year earlier.
AI Provides Q1 & FY27 Outlook
For the first quarter of fiscal 2027, AI expects total revenues of $50-$54 million. The company also projected a non-GAAP loss from operations of $40.5-$48.5 million for the quarter.
For fiscal 2027, AI guided total revenues to $210-$240 million and forecast a non-GAAP loss from operations of $128-$160 million.
