AT&T Inc. provides telecommunications and technology services worldwide. The company operates through two segments, Communications and Latin America. The Communications segment offers wireless voice and data communications services; and sells handsets, wireless data cards, wireless computing devices, carrying cases/protective covers, and wireless chargers through its own company-owned stores, agents, and third-party retail stores. It also provides Virtual Private Networks, AT&T Dedicated Internet, Ethernet, data services, cloud solutions, outsourcing, and managed professional services, as well as customer premises equipment for multinational corporations, small and mid-sized businesses, governmental, and wholesale customers. In addition, this segment offers broadband services, including fiber connections, legacy telephony voice communication services, and other VoIP services and equipment to residential customers. This segment markets its communications services and products under the AT&T, AT&T Business, Cricket, AT&T PREPAID, and AT&T Fiber brand names. The Latin America segment provides postpaid and prepaid wireless services in Mexico under the AT&T and Unefon brand names, as well as sells smartphones through its owned stores, agents and third-party retail stores. The company was formerly known as SBC Communications Inc. and changed its name to AT&T Inc. in 2005. AT&T Inc. was incorporated in 1983 and is based in Dallas, Texas.

SpaceX's public debut is taking place right now and it has captured Wall Street's attention, but investors should remember that even great companies can be volatile stocks after an initial public offering (IPO). At a roughly $1.75 trillion valuation, expectations are already extraordinarily high, and history is full of highly anticipated offerings that experienced sharp swings as the market digested their valuations. For many investors, the better opportunity may not be buying SpaceX itself but investing in companies that stand to benefit from the growth of the broader space economy that SpaceX is helping to build.
Something gets overlooked in IPO frenzies like this. SpaceX is not only a company going public and teasing people to open a brokerage account. It is an infrastructure event. The build-out that follows its listing -- Starlink's constellation expansion, new ground stations, a growing commercial launch manifest, and the Terafab chip facility -- requires customers, partners, and payload operators who need to put things in orbit.

Three publicly traded companies are already part of that ecosystem in ways the market hasn't fully priced in.
1. Intuitive Machines
Intuitive Machines (NASDAQ: LUNR) sits in the most unusual position in all of commercial space: It has already landed on the lunar surface twice, holds a growing backlog of NASA and defense contracts, and is building out the infrastructure that any serious long-term lunar economy needs to function.
In March 2026, NASA awarded the Houston-based company a $180.4 million contract to deliver seven science and technology payloads to the lunar South Pole -- a mission that fits directly into the Artemis program's infrastructure agenda. The company's first-quarter 2026 backlog hit $1.055 billion, nearly tripling year over year after the close of the $800 million Lanteris acquisition and new contract wins. Revenue reached $186.7 million in Q1, three times the prior year's figure, and management guided for $900 million to $1 billion in 2026 revenue with positive full-year earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA).
In May 2026, the company announced a definitive agreement to acquire Goonhilly Earth Station, which is a historic deep-space communications facility in Cornwall, England, and its U.S. operations. Goonhilly has the kind of infrastructure that future commercial lunar missions will depend on: deep-space antennas, frequency licenses, and decades of operational heritage that cannot be replicated quickly.
The SpaceX connection is direct: Intuitive Machines flies its lunar landers on Falcon 9 rockets. As SpaceX IPO capital funds expanded launch cadence and Starship's lunar capability matures, Intuitive Machines is the company on the other end of those missions.
2. AST SpaceMobile
AST SpaceMobile (NASDAQ: ASTS) is one of the more audacious companies in commercial space: It is building a space-based cellular broadband network that connects standard mobile phones directly to satellites in orbit. The company already has multiyear commercial agreements with AT&T (NYSE: T) and Vodafone (NASDAQ: VOD).
Here's the detail that makes AST SpaceMobile a genuine SpaceX-adjacent play: After losing BlueBird 7 in a New Glenn deployment in April 2026, the company made a decision. It pivoted its next three BlueBird satellites to a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch, targeted for mid-June 2026. That is the company voting with its manifest. When execution matters most, it chose SpaceX's rocket. The company is targeting approximately 45 satellites in orbit by year-end 2026, with constellation scaling continuing through 2027.
The investment case here is longer dated than Intuitive Machines. AST SpaceMobile is still in the early stages of building out the constellation needed to provide continuous coverage across major markets, meaning meaningful commercial revenue growth will take time. That longer timeline is reflected in the stock's volatility and the market's ongoing debate about execution. Still, the opportunity is significant: creating a global cellular broadband network that eliminates coverage gaps. As SpaceX's IPO draws more attention to satellite connectivity, it could increase investor interest across the entire sector and help highlight the scale of AST SpaceMobile's long-term opportunity.
3. Viasat
Viasat (NASDAQ: VSAT) is the most unloved of these three names, and that's partly why I find it interesting.
Most investors who follow satellite stocks associate Viasat with the failed ViaSat-3 F1 antenna, which launched in 2023 and never deployed correctly -- a genuine setback that cost the company years of growth. What's less discussed is what Viasat built on the other side of that problem: a government and defense satellite communications business that is structurally separate from the consumer broadband competition with Starlink, and a ViaSat-3 constellation that is finally completing.
In April 2026, Viasat confirmed the launch of its ViaSat-3 F3 satellite -- the third and final planned satellite of the next-generation constellation -- aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy on April 29, 2026. The company launched on SpaceX's rocket. Viasat does not view SpaceX as a pure competitor in its most valuable segment: government communications. The U.S. military and intelligence community need satellite connectivity that is not tied to a single commercial provider, and Viasat's defense division supplies exactly that.
The risk is straightforward: Starlink's market share growth is real, and if Viasat's consumer segment deteriorates faster than the defense segment grows, the thesis breaks.

With the latest option, AT&T becomes the first major U.S. wireless provider to offer on-demand Internet access for eligible iPads, even allowing rival subscribers to connect if their device supports eSIM technology. This service is useful for travelers, remote workers and users who need reliable Internet when Wi-Fi is unavailable. The company plans to expand it to more 5G devices in the future.

Uniti Group (UNIT) shares ended the last trading session 7.8% higher at $12.52. The jump came on an impressive volume with a higher-than-average number of shares changing hands in the session. This compares to the stock's 2.7% gain over the past four weeks.
The increased investor optimism in the stock can be attributed to the favorable operating environment.
This real estate investment trust is expected to post quarterly loss of $0.43 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -975%. Revenues are expected to be $883.47 million, up 193.8% from the year-ago quarter.
While FFO and revenue growth expectations are important in evaluating the potential strength in a stock, empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in FFO estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.
For Uniti, the consensus FFO per share estimate for the quarter has been revised 4.1% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. And a negative trend in FFO estimate revisions doesn't usually translate into price appreciation. So, make sure to keep an eye on UNIT going forward to see if this recent jump can turn into more strength down the road.

Uniti (UNIT) Surges 7.8%: Is This an Indication of Further Gains?

T-Mobile, US, Inc. TMUS continues to benefit from healthy demand trends across wireless and broadband services. In the first quarter of 2026, the company added 217,000 postpaid net accounts, up 6% year over year. Total postpaid accounts reached 34.4 million. Superior network quality, compelling value offerings and enhanced customer experience are driving customer addition.
Postpaid Average Revenue Per Account (ARPA) increased 3.9% year over year to $151.93. Successful rate plan optimization, higher fee revenues, increased customer density per account and continued adoption of 5G broadband and T-Mobile for Business services are driving growth.
It continues to expand beyond traditional wireless offerings. The company added more than 0.5 million broadband net additions in the first quarter, supported by accelerating 5G broadband adoption and favorable customer experience metrics. Management highlighted that fixed wireless speeds remain ahead of peers while fiber partnerships and joint ventures are expanding the company’s addressable market in a capital-efficient manner.
Strong momentum prompted T-Mobile to raise guidance for 2026. The company expects postpaid net account addition of 950,000 to 1.05 million, up from prior guidance of 900,000 to 1.0 million. It expects full-year postpaid ARPA growth of 2.5-3%.
How Are Competitors Faring?
T-Mobile faces competition from AT&T, Inc. T and Verizon Communications, Inc. VZ in the U.S. telecom market. AT&T continues to invest in fiber and 5G to expand advanced Internet reach and drive more households to buy wireless and home Internet together. In first-quarter 2026, the company reported 584,000 total fiber and fixed wireless advanced Internet customer net additions, including 512,000 consumer advanced home Internet net adds. Within that, AT&T added 273,000 fiber net adds and 239,000 AT&T Internet Air net adds. Postpaid phone net adds were 294,000, and postpaid phone churn was 0.89%.
In first-quarter 2026, Verizon added 55,000 postpaid phone net additions, the first positive first-quarter total since 2013, and management tied the year-over-year swing of more than 340,000 to a higher mix of new-to-Verizon gross additions and a shift away from relying on heavy promotions. Verizon’s broadband build continues to broaden its addressable market and create more room to sell converged offers over time. In first-quarter 2026, Verizon delivered 341,000 broadband net additions, including 214,000 fixed wireless access net additions and 127,000 fiber broadband net additions, bringing fixed wireless access and fiber broadband connections to about 16.8 million.
TMUS’ Price Performance, Valuation & Estimates
T-Mobile has declined 19.6% over the past year compared with the industry’s decline of 16.5%.

McDonald's
Few companies in the world are as iconic as McDonald's. Its golden arches can be a welcome sight for travelers as the fast-food chain often represents a convenient and relatively low-cost option for a quick meal.
While prices have risen in recent years due to inflation, its restaurants still provide consumers with plenty of value, as evidenced by its continued growth. In the quarter ending March 31, McDonald's reported comparable sales growth of 3.8%, with performance broadly similar across international and domestic markets. It's a good sign of continually strong demand for its products.
McDonald's may not be a growth machine, but it is certainly a dependable and stable long-term investment. And, of course, let's not forget the dividend income you can generate from this investment. At 2.6%, its yield is more than double the S&P 500 average of 1%. The stock is down around 8% this year and recently hit a new 52-week low, but with a reasonable price-to-earnings (P/E) multiple of 23, it can be a great pick up today, as this is a top dividend stock you can comfortably hang on to for the long haul.
AT&T
Shares of AT&T have been falling recently as investors grow more concerned that SpaceX and its Starlink business may disrupt the broader telecom market. It's an issue that looks overblown, or at best, premature. Starlink is part of SpaceX's connectivity segment, which generated $11.4 billion in revenue last year. AT&T, by comparison, reported revenue that was 11 times that amount last year -- $125.6 billion.
AT&T is a top telecom provider, and while competition may chip away at some of its market share, the stock's recent decline represents a bit of an overreaction simply due to SpaceX gaining more attention of late as a result of its upcoming IPO. However, AT&T stock isn't exactly tumbling over a cliff; it's down around 9% for the year.
For dividend investors, this could be an opportune time to buy this low-volatility stock, as its yield is up around 4.9% right now. AT&T's stock is trading near its lows, and its valuation is enticing -- its P/E multiple is just seven.
Unilever
Top consumer brand Unilever is another dividend stock that's been struggling of late. Its shares are down 12% this year, making its decline the most significant on this list. The market has been concerned with the news that the company is looking to spin off its food business and the uncertainty that might bring.
While it might make the business smaller, Unilever sees it as an opportunity to be more of a pure play home and personal care company. That can help drive efficiency and allow the company to be more focused in its growth efforts. And although the food segment is a key one for Unilever, it was also its slowest-growing one in its most recent quarter, with management saying that "category conditions remained soft" in developed markets.
Unilever stock currently yields right around 4%, making it another excellent income stock to buy and hold. And with its price declining, the stock's valuation looks attractive, as it trades at a P/E ratio of just over 19.

Bargain Hunters: These 3 Dividend Stocks Recently Hit New 52-Week Lows

AT&T Inc. T and T-Mobile US, Inc. TMUS are major U.S. wireless carriers competing aggressively in the 5G market, battling for subscriber growth, network leadership and long-term cash flow strength. Operating as one of the premier wireless service providers in the United States, AT&T provides a vast array of communication and business solutions that include wireless, local exchange, long-distance, data/broadband and Internet, video, managed networking, wholesale and cloud-based services.
T-Mobile offers mobile voice, messaging and data services in the postpaid, prepaid and wholesale markets under the T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile and Sprint brands. The company is extensively deploying 5G and 4G LTE (Long-Term Evolution) networks across the country to bridge the digital divide.
Let us delve a little deeper into the companies’ competitive dynamics to understand which of the two is relatively better placed in the broadband and telecom services industry.
The Case for AT&T
With a customer-centric business model, AT&T is witnessing healthy momentum in its postpaid wireless business with a lower churn rate and increased adoption of higher-tier unlimited plans. The company remains focused on improving mobile 5G, fixed wireless and edge computing services to drive growth. AT&T is leveraging Ericsson technology to deploy a commercial-scale open radio access network (Open RAN) across the country to help build a more robust ecosystem of network infrastructure providers and suppliers. It is also collaborating with Nokia to streamline network services, improve automation, speed up deployment times and improve operational efficiency.
In first-quarter 2026, the company reported 584,000 total fiber and fixed wireless advanced Internet customer net additions, including 512,000 consumer advanced home Internet net adds. Within that, AT&T reported 273,000 fiber net adds and 239,000 AT&T Internet Air net adds. Postpaid phone net adds were 294,000, and postpaid phone churn was 0.89%. AT&T also closed the Lumen Mass Markets fiber acquisition in early February 2026, adding 1.1 million fiber customers and more than 4 million fiber locations. Management expects fiber reach to grow by about 8 million locations in 2026, including more than 4 million locations acquired from Lumen, and remains on track to reach over 40 million total fiber locations by the end of 2026 and more than 60 million by the end of 2030.
However, despite its effort to reinforce focus on the customer-centric business model with an aim to maintain its customer base, its wireline division is struggling with persistent losses in access lines as a result of competitive pressure from voice-over-Internet-protocol (VoIP) service providers and aggressive triple-play (voice, data, video) offerings by the cable companies. Its effort to woo customers with healthy discounts, freebies and cash credits further escalates margin pressures. Stiff competition from Verizon Communications VZ is a headwind.
The Case for T-Mobile
T-Mobile’s business model largely depends on its “Un-carrier Value Proposition”, which aims to enhance customer satisfaction by means of providing the latest products at cheaper rates and on uncomplicated terms and conditions. The company continues to boast a leadership position in the 5G market. Its 5G network covers more than 330 million people in the country. The Ultra Capacity 5G delivers superfast speeds, powering 5G smartphones and enabling innovators to deliver transformational 5G experiences. It intends to bring more competition to home broadband, especially in underserved rural markets.
T-Mobile’s acquisition strategy has significantly strengthened its position in the wireless industry over the past few years. The company completed its acquisition of Sprint in 2020. The combined company’s network has 14 times more capacity than on a standalone basis, which enables it to leapfrog the competition in network capability and customer experience. The buyout of US Cellular’s wireless operations helped T-Mobile acquire all of its wireless operations along with 30% of its spectrum assets across several spectrum bands. The transaction enabled TMUS to expand both its fast-growing home broadband offerings and fixed wireless products through the additional capacity and coverage from the combined spectrum and wireless assets. It also enables the Un-carrier to lease space on various US Cellular towers to ensure continued, uninterrupted service for its customers.
T-Mobile continues to deploy 5G with the mid-band 2.5 GHz spectrum from Sprint. The 2.5 GHz 5G delivers superfast speeds and extensive coverage with signals that go through walls and trees, unlike 5G networks that are controlled by the mmWave spectrum. This gives the un-carrier a competitive edge over AT&T and Verizon. In many places, mid-band 5G average download speeds are around 300 Mbps with peak speeds approaching 1 Gbps. It plans to continue growing this 5G spectrum deployment at an aggressive pace. T-Mobile’s business strategy is built on covering 90% of rural America with average 5G speeds of 50 Mbps, up to two times faster than broadband.
However, the U.S. wireless market is highly competitive and saturated. T-Mobile has multiple wireless competitors, some of which have greater resources than it does. Intensifying competition with a relatively fixed pool of customers is putting pressure on pricing. To lure customers from competitors, T-Mobile has launched several low-priced service plans for consumers as well as small business entities. Management’s strategy of introducing several promotional activities such as free music streaming, video offers and price cuts on service plans and adoption of phone leasing plans, where equipment revenues are not booked upfront, creates a margin squeeze for the company.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for AT&T’s 2026 sales and EPS implies year-over-year growth of 3.3% and 8.5%, respectively. The EPS estimate for 2026 has been trending northward 0.4% over the past 60 days.

AT&T looks more attractive than T-Mobile from a valuation standpoint. Going by the price/earnings ratio, AT&T’s shares currently trade at 9.47 forward earnings, lower than 15.27 for T-Mobile.

AT&T (T) Stock Falls Amid Market Uptick: What Investors Need to Know

Consider Nvidia, for instance, which became the face of the AI boom, but also spawned highly successful secondary beneficiaries of AI infrastructure spending, such as Vertiv, Arista Networks, and Super Micro.
A SpaceX IPO is likely to create a similar effect, directing capital toward smaller space companies involved in launch services, satellite technology, and communications infrastructure.
Here are three worth watching.
Rocket Lab
If there's one company that could become the "alternative" to SpaceX in the public markets, it's Rocket Lab (NASDAQ: RKLB).
Rocket Lab started as a small launch provider, but today it operates across multiple segments of the space economy. It launches rockets, builds satellites, manufactures spacecraft components, and is developing its larger Neutron rocket (a partially reusable rocket fueled by liquid oxygen and liquid methane) for future commercial and government missions.
While SpaceX dominates launch services, there will be a flood of investors looking for another publicly traded company with launch capabilities, satellite manufacturing operations, and growing revenue. This is what Rocket Lab offers.
In 2025, Rocket Lab reported record revenue of approximately $602 million, up 38% year over year. The company also ended the year with a record $1.85 billion backlog, providing substantial visibility into future business.
The momentum has continued into 2026, too.
In Q1, Rocket Lab reported record revenue of $200 million and exceeded management's guidance for revenue, gross margin, and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA).
The company also ended the quarter with a record backlog of more than $2 billion.
Of course, this doesn't mean Rocket Lab becomes the next SpaceX. But it doesn't have to.
At a market capitalization that's still only a fraction of SpaceX's expected valuation, even a modest increase in investor interest could have an outsized impact on the stock.
Redwire
Redwire (NYSE: RDW) represents a different way to invest in the space industry.
Instead of focusing on rockets, the company builds many of the technologies that make space missions possible. Its products include solar arrays, sensors, avionics, robotic systems, and other components used by commercial, civil, and defense customers.
Think of Redwire as a supplier to the broader space ecosystem.
The company generated approximately $335 million in revenue during 2025 and continues to expand its presence in satellite infrastructure, national security programs, and commercial space projects.
In Q1 2026, Redwire reported $97 million in revenue, while boasting a record backlog of $498.1 million.
AST SpaceMobile
AST SpaceMobile (NASDAQ: ASTS) is the highest-risk stock on this list, as the company still hasn't deployed a full commercial constellation capable of providing continuous global service.
That said, it could also offer the greatest upside.
The company's goal is to create a satellite network that connects directly to ordinary smartphones without requiring specialized hardware.
If successful, the addressable market is enormous.
Global wireless service revenue exceeds $1 trillion annually, and AST doesn't need to capture much of that market to create substantial value. If the company were eventually able to generate just $5 per month from 50 million users, that would translate into roughly $3 billion in annual revenue. At 100 million users, annual revenue would approach $6 billion.
And here's the rub: AST has already signed agreements with carriers representing more than 3 billion subscribers, including AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, and Rakuten.
What makes AST particularly interesting in the context of a SpaceX IPO, however, is Starlink.
The market views Starlink as one of SpaceX's most valuable assets. Once SpaceX begins trading, we will likely get a much clearer valuation on satellite-based communications businesses.
That could benefit AST as investors search for additional ways to invest in the same long-term trend.
Beyond SpaceX
To be clear, none of these companies is guaranteed to double.
But major IPOs often create a halo effect that extends far beyond the company going public.
SpaceX has become the dominant force in commercial space. Its public debut will likely bring new investors into the sector and encourage others to look for smaller companies with exposure to launch services, satellite infrastructure, communications, and space technology.
Rocket Lab, Redwire, and AST SpaceMobile each provide exposure to a different corner of that ecosystem.
And if SpaceX's IPO sparks a wave of enthusiasm for the broader space economy, all three could benefit from investor attention that extends well beyond SpaceX itself.
