IMAX Corporation IMAX reported third-quarter 2025 adjusted earnings of 47 cents per share, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 23.68% and increased 34.3% year over year.
Total revenues of $106.7 million beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 3.16% and increased 16.6% year over year.
Category-wise, Technology Sales decreased 26.4% year over year to $19.4 million. Image Enhancement & Maintenance Services, Technology Rentals and Finance Income increased by 30.2%, 44.8% and 37.2% to $61 million, $23.3 million and $2.9 million, respectively.
Segment-wise, Content Solutions revenues increased 49% year over year to $44.8 million in the third quarter of 2025.
Technology Products and Services revenues rose 4% year over year to $60.4 million. All Other revenues declined 58.2% year over year to $1.4 million.

Content Solutions Business Details of IMAX
Within Content Solutions Business, Film Remastering and Distribution revenues increased 49% year over year to $44.8 million. The segment achieved a record gross margin of 71%, expanding 1,600 basis points from 55% in the third quarter of 2024. This remarkable margin expansion demonstrates the significant operating leverage in IMAX's business model as box office scales to higher levels.
The third quarter box office, including booking fees in China, reached $368 million, increasing 50% year over year. F1: The Movie was the highest-grossing Hollywood release of the year with $97 million worldwide to date, capturing more than 15% of the film's total box office on less than 1% of screens. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle became IMAX's biggest Japanese film of all time with $73 million to date and delivered IMAX's biggest September opening ever in North America. Four blockbuster openings, including Sinners, Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, F1 and Tron Ares, generated at least 20% of the domestic opening weekend box office.
Technology Products and Services Details
Within the Technology Products and Services segment, System Sales were $19.4 million, down 7.4% year over year. System Rental revenues increased 34.4% year over year to $23.3 million.
Maintenance revenues were $16.7 million, up 5.4% year over year. Finance Income revenues were $2.9 million in the reported quarter, up 24.4% year over year.
Network Growth Statistics of IMAX
During the third quarter of 2025, IMAX installed 38 systems compared with 49 systems in the third quarter of 2024. The company is now at approximately 100 system installations.
As of Sept. 30, 2025, 1,829 IMAX Systems were operating in 89 countries and territories, including 1,759 commercial multiplexes, 10 commercial destinations and 60 institutional locations. The commercial multiplex network comprises 854 systems under sales arrangements, 119 hybrid joint revenue sharing arrangements and 786 traditional joint revenue sharing arrangements.
IMAX currently estimates a worldwide commercial multiplex addressable market of 3,619 locations, of which 1,759 IMAX Systems are operating as of Sept 30, 2025, representing a market penetration of 48%. Approximately 74% of IMAX System arrangements in backlog as of Sept. 30, 2025, are scheduled to be installed in international markets compared to 82% in the year-ago quarter.
System signings in the third quarter totalled 19 systems, including 15 sales arrangements and four traditional joint revenue-sharing arrangements.
Total system backlog as of Sept. 30, 2025, stood at 478 systems comprising 157 sales arrangements, 94 hybrid joint revenue sharing arrangements and 227 traditional joint revenue sharing arrangements.
Operating Details
Gross margin expanded 740 basis points (bps) to 63.1% in the third quarter of 2025. Content Solutions' gross margin expanded 1,600 bps to 71% while Technology Products and Services' gross margin expanded 250 bps to 58% in the third quarter.
Adjusted EBITDA per Credit Facility was $48 million, up 35% year over year.
Selling, general and administrative expenses decreased 6% year over year to $34.2 million. Research and development expenses were down 24.1% to $1.5 million.
IMAX reported an operating income of $29 million, which surged 50% year-over-year, driven by strong box office performance and margin expansion.
Net cash provided by operating activities in the third quarter of 2025 reached $67.5 million, up more than 90% year over year, reflecting improvements in working capital driven by higher collections and the timing benefits from strong first-half box office titles.
Balance Sheet & Cash Flow
Net cash provided by operating activities for the nine months of 2025 increased 65% year over year to $98 million. Free cash flow before growth CapEx reached $87 million for the nine months, representing 68% adjusted EBITDA conversion rate.
As of Sept. 30, 2025, IMAX's available liquidity was $544 million. The company's liquidity includes $143 million in cash and cash equivalents, $346 million in available borrowing capacity under the Credit Facility and $55 million in available borrowing capacity under IMAX China's revolving facilities. Total debt, excluding deferred financing costs, was $261 million.
In July 2025, the company renewed and expanded its senior secured revolving credit facility from $300 million to $375 million with reduced borrowing costs. In 2021, the company issued $230 million of 0.500% Convertible Senior Notes due April 2026. IMAX entered into privately negotiated capped call transactions with an initial cap price of $37.27 per share.
The weighted average basic and diluted shares outstanding in the third quarter of 2025 were 53.8 million and 55.6 million compared with 52.7 million and 54.1 million in the third quarter of 2024, representing increases of 2.3% and 3.4%, respectively.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, 2025, IMAX China repurchased 1,495,900 common shares at an average price of HKD 7.56 per share for a total of HKD 11.3 million ($1.4 million), excluding commissions.
The company is authorised under its share-repurchase program, which was extended in June 2025, expiring June 30, 2027, to repurchase up to $500 million of its common shares, of which approximately $251 million remains available.
Growth CapEx for joint revenue sharing arrangements totalled $24 million year-to-date.
Guidance
IMAX expects to deliver a record box office of more than $1.2 billion in 2025, along with a total adjusted EBITDA margin in the low 40% range, and system installations of 150 to 160 (now tracking to the high end of this range).
The fourth quarter slate includes Avatar: Fire and Ash in December, Wicked: For Good and Zootopia 2 for Thanksgiving, Predator: Badlands and The Running Man in November and alternative content including Depeche Mode concert, League of Legends gaming tournament with 219 China locations, Stones at the Max re-release and Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein Netflix partnership event.
For 2026, IMAX highlighted four massive tentpoles: Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey with IMAX 70mm run, Greta Gerwig's IMAX Exclusive Narnia, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu and Dune: Part Three with IMAX 70mm run. Additional 2026 titles include Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Toy Story 5 and Avatar: Fire and Ash carryover into the first quarter of 2026.

Hence, a range of 1-3 is considered ideal.
Quick Ratio: Unlike the current ratio, the quick ratio — the "acid-test ratio" or "quick assets ratio" — indicates a company's ability to pay short-term obligations. It considers inventory, excluding current assets, relative to current liabilities. A quick ratio of more than 1 is desirable, like the current ratio.
Cash Ratio: This is the most conservative ratio among the three, considering cash and cash equivalents and invested funds relative to current liabilities. It measures a company's ability to meet existing debt obligations using the most liquid assets. Though a cash ratio of more than 1 may suggest sound financials, a higher number may indicate inefficiency in cash utilization.
A ratio greater than 1 is always desirable, but it may not always represent a company's financial condition.

Peloton Interactive operates as an interactive fitness platform with nearly 6 million members. The brand's content is accessible through Peloton Bike, Peloton Tread and Peloton Digital, which provide a full slate of fitness offerings anytime, anywhere, through IOS and Android as well as most tablets and computers.
PTON is focused on becoming a full-spectrum wellness platform from a cardio fitness company. It is using advanced technologies like AI to boost its ability to serve as personalized coaches, recommendations and customized plans. It is also expanding its global footprint through hotel partnerships, retail expansion, and the launch of new markets. Including its partnerships with Hilton and Hyatt, Peloton is now present in more than 9,000 hotels globally.
Recently, the company unveiled the Peloton Pro Series, the all-new suite of commercial-ready equipment. It includes Peloton's first commercial treadmill, the Tread+ Pro.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for fiscal 2026 bottom line is pegged at 8 cents per share, unchanged in the past seven days. PTON has a Growth Score of A and a trailing four-quarter earnings surprise of 36.28%, on average.
Remitly Global offers digital financial and remittance services mainly for immigrants. It was established in 2011 and now has an international presence spanning over 170 countries. It is focusing on new products and services to boost its addressable market and strengthen its business model. The four core areas of product innovation include Remitly Business, Remitly One, Stablecoins and Agentic AI.
In September 2025, RELY unveiled Remitly One, an all-in-one financial membership that will aid clients in transferring, managing, and growing their money across borders. Before that, RELY made Remitly Business available to its U.K. customers. Remitly Business enables payment to international contractors and freelancers. It can also be used to make payments to international vendors and suppliers and carry out disbursements and one-time payouts.
RELY reported revenues of $411.9 million for the second quarter of 2025, up 34% year over year. Send volume was up 40% to $18.5 billion. Send volume per active customer jumped 12% year over year. Active customers grew 24% year over year to over 8.5 million, and the take rate came in at 2.23%. Adjusted EBITDA was an impressive $64 million, driven by top-line growth and cost discipline.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2025 earnings is currently pegged at 12 cents per share, unchanged in the past 60 days. RELY has a Growth Score of A and a trailing four-quarter earnings surprise of 132.94%, on average.
Newmont Corp. is one of the world's largest producers of gold with several active mines in Nevada, Peru, Australia and Ghana. The company is the only gold producer listed on the S&P 500 Index. It also produces copper, silver, zinc and lead.
Newmont continues to invest in growth projects and remains focused on driving shareholder value. The company is pursuing several projects, including Tanami Expansion 2 in Australia, the Ahafo North expansion in Ghana and Cadia Panel Caves in Australia. Newmont also remains committed to divesting non-core businesses as it shifts its strategic focus to Tier 1 assets. The acquisition of Newcrest is expected to generate significant synergies.
NEM will report third-quarter 2025 results on Oct. 23 after market close. Newmont's revenues for the second quarter were roughly $5.32 billion, up 20.8% from the prior-year quarter.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2025 earnings is pegged at $5.65 per share, up 8 cents in the past seven days. NEM has a Growth Score of B and a trailing four-quarter earnings surprise of 32.82%, on average.
Zumiez is a specialty retailer for a range of apparel, footwear and accessories. Its stores also feature a range of hard goods for youngsters that include items like snowboards, skateboards, bindings and other equipment.
North America remains the key catalyst of Zumiez's performance despite heightened macroeconomic uncertainty, influenced by evolving trade policy developments. In the fiscal second quarter, this region generated $180 million in sales, up 2.1% from the prior year. Total net sales of $214.3 million surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $211 million and increased 1.9% from the prior-year quarter.
Comps were up 2.5% year over year, representing the fifth consecutive quarter of growth. Comps in North America rose 4.2%, representing the sixth consecutive quarter of growth, while international comps declined 5.5%. Among product categories, the women's category saw the highest comps increase, followed by hard goods and accessories. Conversely, footwear was the largest negative comps category, followed by men's.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for ZUMZ's fiscal 2025 earnings is pegged at 42 cents per share, unchanged in the past seven days. The company has a Growth Score of B and a trailing four-quarter earnings surprise of 35.4%, on average.

Now, finding stocks that have the potential to beat on the bottom line may be investors’ dream but not an easy job. One way to do this is to look at the earnings surprise history of the company.
An impressive track in this regard generally acts as a catalyst in sending a stock higher. It indicates the company’s ability to surpass estimates. And investors generally believe that the company will apply the same secret sauce to execute yet another earning beat in its next release.

Peloton Interactive (NASDAQ: PTON) went public at $29 per share in 2019, and by December 2020, it had soared by 462% to a record high of around $163. Pandemic-necessitated lockdowns and social-distancing efforts led to explosive demand for the company's connected exercise equipment, which sent its revenue soaring.
However, the boom was short-lived. Sales cratered after widespread inoculations with COVID vaccines allowed social conditions to gradually start returning to normal in 2022. The company's revenues still haven't recovered, but Peloton is now leaning into artificial intelligence (AI) to give its exercise equipment more capabilities, in the hope that this will attract new customers.

Peloton stock is currently down 94% from its 2020 peak. Could the company's pivot into AI be the spark that ignites a recovery?
Refreshing its entire lineup
Peloton has two primary sources of revenue. First, it sells exercise equipment -- stationary bikes, treadmills, and rowing machines -- and second, it sells subscriptions that include digital classes and other tools designed to help people get more out of their workouts.
The company's total revenue peaked at $4 billion in its fiscal 2021, but it has since declined for four consecutive years, coming in at $2.5 billion in its fiscal 2025 (which ended June 30). Management's guidance suggests revenue will decline again to just $2.4 billion in fiscal 2026.
Most of the slump came from plunging equipment sales. After peaking at $3.1 billion in fiscal 2021, they came in at just $817 million in fiscal 2025. Management tried several things to reverse the decline. It introduced payment plans to make its offerings more accessible to less prosperous consumers, and it tapped into third-party sales channels like Amazon and Dick's Sporting Goods, to no avail.
However, Peloton noticed a growing number of its customers also enjoy strength training, yoga, Pilates, and other exercises, which could spell opportunity. On Oct. 1, the company launched a new lineup of bikes, treadmills, and rowing machines called the Cross Training Series, featuring an advanced AI and computer-vision system called Peloton IQ.
When users stand in front of this equipment during strength training exercises, Peloton IQ will serve as a digital personal trainer, counting their repetitions, correcting their form, and even suggesting appropriate weight levels. Peloton IQ also includes a revolutionary workout generator that can craft custom exercise plans based on the goals of each individual user.
But there's a catch: The new equipment comes at much higher prices than prior models. The Cross Training Bike+, for example, sells for $2,695. That probably won't help Peloton broaden its customer base.
Peloton's bottom line has significantly improved
Peloton thought its sales would continue to grow after fiscal 2021, and it expanded its production capacities accordingly. So when sales unexpectedly shrank in fiscal 2022, it was left with a staggering $2.8 billion loss at the bottom line. The prospect of bankruptcy was real, as it had limited cash left in the bank, so management had to slash costs quickly.
Peloton's operating costs were 62% lower in fiscal 2025 than they were in fiscal 2022, helping the company narrow its net loss to just $118 million. When excluding one-off and non-cash expenses, Peloton was actually profitable in fiscal 2025, generating $403 million in adjusted (non-GAAP) EBITDA.
Achieving profitability was essential to ensure the company's survival, but it won't be sustainable unless its revenue starts growing again, because management will eventually run out of costs to cut. Plus, pulling too much money out of areas like marketing or research and development will make it even harder for Peloton to attract new customers and boost sales.
Investing in a shrinking business is rarely a good idea
As mentioned earlier, Peloton stock is down 94% from its 2020 record high. Shrinking businesses tend to destroy shareholder value over the long term, so the stock is likely to trend lower until sales recover. There is no guarantee the new Cross Training Series equipment is the solution, especially because of its higher prices.
Therefore, I think investors should adopt a wait-and-see approach to this stock. Peloton needs to prove it can sustainably expand its business before its stock will be a viable investment, in my opinion. Taking a chance on the stock right now leaves investors exposed to the possibility of significant losses if the company's new strategy falls flat.

A built-in camera provides form correction, rep counting and suggested weights, while tools like Workout Generator and Self-Paced Strength enable custom or on-demand workouts. Tailored class recommendations evolve with each session, helping members discover new workouts while staying aligned with their goals.
Through new collaborations, Peloton is broadening its wellness offerings to include recovery, mental health and specialty medical requirements in addition to fitness. Future partnerships include an eight-week program with Halle Berry's Respin Health that focuses on menopause, a musculoskeletal injury prevention program with the Hospital for Special Surgery and an extended Peloton x HYROX collection that will help members train for international events.
PTON's Share Price Performance
Shares of the company have gained 37.1% in the past three months against the Zacks Leisure and Recreation Products industry’s 0.2% decline. Investor sentiment surrounding Peloton has turned more optimistic, supported by the company’s hotel partnerships, retail expansion and the launch of new markets.
At the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, Peloton reported 552,000 Ending Paid App Subscriptions and $607 million in total revenues — $199 million from Connected Fitness products and $408 million from subscriptions — exceeding guidance by $21 million. Stronger-than-expected hardware sales of Peloton and Precor products drove the outperformance, while the launch of the “Repowered” marketplace for refurbished bikes and treadmills helped manage inventory and attract value-conscious consumers.

From Apps to Nutrition: Health & Fitness Stocks to Buy Now

Investors in Peloton Interactive Inc (Symbol: PTON) saw new options begin trading today, for the November 14th expiration. At Stock Options Channel, our YieldBoost formula has looked up and down the PTON options chain for the new November 14th contracts and identified one put and one call contract of particular interest.
The put contract at the $8.50 strike price has a current bid of 59 cents. If an investor was to sell-to-open that put contract, they are committing to purchase the stock at $8.50, but will also collect the premium, putting the cost basis of the shares at $7.91 (before broker commissions). To an investor already interested in purchasing shares of PTON, that could represent an attractive alternative to paying $8.61/share today.
Because the $8.50 strike represents an approximate 1% discount to the current trading price of the stock (in other words it is out-of-the-money by that percentage), there is also the possibility that the put contract would expire worthless. The current analytical data (including greeks and implied greeks) suggest the current odds of that happening are 62%. The current analytical data (including greeks and implied greeks) suggest the current odds of that happening are 48%.
