Nvidia
You may be thinking, "Nvidia is already the largest company in the world, how much more upside could it even have from here?" I think that's a fair question, but the reality is the AI infrastructure build-out is still picking up steam. All of the massive AI data center projects announced last year will take years to come online, stretching out the timeline for the purchase of the chips that will power them. Nvidia believes that global data center capital expenditures will climb to between $3 trillion and $4 trillion annually by 2030, up from around $600 billion in 2025.
If that transpires and Nvidia maintains its market share, the stock could easily double, if not triple, from here. However, it's not a completely risk-off bet.
There are a handful of companies challenging Nvidia for pieces of the AI processor market it dominates, most notably its biggest customers: the AI hyperscalers. Those tech giants are partnering with other companies to design and create their own AI chips. These chips, which are narrowly tailored for the specific types of workloads they will handle, often offer better price performance for training and inference. Nvidia's processors, by contrast, are far more flexible. There is plenty of market for both types of chip, but how much market share Nvidia retains will define its success.
The future is still bright for Nvidia, but it does have challenges ahead.
Nebius
Nebius is a neocloud company, meaning it is focused on building and running AI-first cloud infrastructure -- demand for which is booming. Nebius believes that its annual run rate will rise from $1.25 billion at the end of 2025 to between $7 billion and $9 billion by the end of 2026. That massive growth forecast showcases the huge demand for Nebius' full-stack setup.
However, the company doesn't have the cash on its books to fund all of this expansion on its own, so it's borrowing heavily. That rising debt load could become a huge liability for the company if its all-in bet on the longer-term demand for its data center infrastructure doesn't pan out. Still, considering the massive demand it has thus far experienced and the major deals it's signed, I think Nebius could become an AI infrastructure giant over the next few years.
IonQ
IonQ is a different investing flavor than Nvidia and Nebius. It is solely focused on bringing a viable quantum computer to market. If it fails at this, then its stock is likely to fall to $0. While that may sound like a scary prospect, the reality is that IonQ is already a leader in its space, and currently holds the world record for the most accurate quantum computer by one key metric. That's a big deal considering that bringing down quantum computing's high error rates is one of the primary challenges that must be overcome before the technology will be broadly commercializable. Quantum computing has significant implications in the AI sector and could be the technology needed to unlock further capabilities.
The risk here is obvious: One of the many other competent quantum computing companies could beat IonQ to the punch. However, based on its accuracy lead and its involvement in military contracts, I think that risk is starting to fade a bit. IonQ is a top way to invest in quantum computing, and if that technology evolves far enough to allow for widespread usage, the stock has a ton more upside potential.

It might seem like a risky time to buy growth stocks. The Middle East conflict remains unresolved, inflation remains high, and the Fed is reluctant to cut interest rates again. All of those challenges will likely drive investors toward more conservative investments.
However, long-term investors who can look past those near-term challenges can still find some attractive growth plays in this volatile market. Let's take a closer look at two of those compelling stocks: CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV) and Nebius Group (NASDAQ: NBIS).

CoreWeave
CoreWeave was originally an Ethereum mining company. But after the cryptocurrency market's crash in 2018, it abandoned that business model and repurposed its mining GPUs to remotely process AI tasks.
CoreWeave subsequently installed more than 250,000 of Nvidia's (NASDAQ: NVDA) top-tier data center GPUs in its servers, and it expanded its footprint from just three data centers at the end of 2022 to 43 locations in early 2026. That scale enables it to process AI tasks roughly 35 times faster and 80% cheaper than larger and more diversified cloud infrastructure platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Azure.
From 2022 to 2025, CoreWeave's revenue surged from $16 million to $5.1 billion. Analysts expect its revenue to surge more than sevenfold to $36.7 million in 2028. That's an impressive growth trajectory for a stock that trades at less than five times this year's sales.
CoreWeave's stock looks cheaper than other AI stocks because it's still deeply unprofitable and ended 2025 with a high debt-to-equity ratio of 13.8. That red ink and high leverage could force it to issue more shares to fund its capital-intensive expansion.
Some investors might also be concerned about its dependence on Microsoft, which historically accounts for over half of its revenue. However, CoreWeave is gradually reducing its dependence on Microsoft through new deals with OpenAI and Nvidia, and analysts expect it to turn profitable by 2028 as economies of scale kick in. Therefore, CoreWeave remains a promising growth stock for investors who can stomach near-term volatility.
Nebius Group
Nebius is another provider of cloud-based AI infrastructure services. It was once known as Yandex, which owned Russia's top search engine and other popular apps. However, it divested its Russian assets in early 2022 (in response to the sanctions against Russia), relocated its business to the Netherlands, and rebranded itself as Nebius.
As Nebius, it operates a single first-party data center in Finland and leases additional data centers through colocation deals in the U.S., the U.K., and Europe. It's also in the process of building a second first-party data center in New Jersey.
Unlike CoreWeave, which mainly processes GPU-intensive AI tasks, Nebius provides customized AI services for the data training, edtech, and autonomous robotics markets. It integrates managed software services (like Kubernetes) into its data centers. By bundling those services, it widens its moat and positions itself as a "full stack" AI infrastructure company.
Nebius' earlier financials (as Yandex) are no longer relevant. But after fully transforming into a cloud-based AI infrastructure company, its revenue surged 351% to $530 million in 2025. By 2027, analysts expect its revenue to surge 19 times to $10.1 billion. It's expected to stay unprofitable, but it ended 2025 with a manageable debt-to-equity ratio of 1.7.
Nebius, which trades at 14 times this year's sales, might seem pricier than CoreWeave. However, it deserves that higher valuation because it's growing faster, less dependent on Microsoft (although it's still a top customer), and it's shouldering less debt. Therefore, it might have even more upside potential than CoreWeave and other slower-growth AI stocks.

One widely cited study by McKinsey & Company predicts the build-out will require nearly $7 trillion in capital expenditures by 2030. That estimate was published last year at this time; the real number could wind up higher.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE: TSM) is an obvious beneficiary. It's the world's leading logic chip fabricator and has a massive client base that depends on its foundry capabilities. Two of its major clients are Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) and Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), both of which don't actually produce any chips themselves; they design them.
Some of Nvidia's competitors are also TSMC clients, which means that Taiwan Semiconductor is one of the ultimate neutral ways to play the AI build-out. As long as there is increased AI spending, chances are quite high that TSMC will benefit from it, as it will likely be producing the chips that go inside whichever computing units happen to be the most popular at any given time.
With management guiding for a 25% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2024 to 2029, it's a solid investment pick.
Nvidia
Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) has become the largest company in the world thanks to massive demand for AI computing power, and that demand is only getting stronger. It seems odd to say that a company with a $5 trillion market cap can be nearly doubling its revenue each quarter, but Nvidia is approaching that. After decelerating last year, its revenue growth started to accelerate again last quarter.
For the first quarter, analysts expect 79% revenue growth. For Q2, that same group projects 85% growth. That showcases that Nvidia is not only thriving from the AI build-out, but also gaining ground. The massive data center build-out opportunity is just getting started, and Nvidia stock will be a top way for retail investors to capitalize on it.
Broadcom
As I alluded to above, there are other AI chip designers that utilize TSMC's services. Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) is one of them, but it's approaching the market from a different angle than Nvidia. Instead of making broad-purpose computing chips and selling them to a wide array of buyers, Broadcom is partnering directly with AI hyperscalers to design custom chips that are tailored for the precise types of workloads they'll be used for. Doing that often provides better cost performance than an Nvidia GPU.
This is leading to substantial growth for Broadcom; sales from its AI semiconductor division rose by 106% to $8.4 billion last quarter. By the end of 2027, this division is expected to be producing more than $100 billion annually -- a major acceleration. Broadcom is challenging Nvidia's dominance in the AI chip market, and its stock will likely be a major winner along the way.
Micron
Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU) is both a chip designer like Nvidia and a fabricator like Taiwan Semiconductor. However, it isn't producing logic chips. Instead, it specializes in memory chips, in particular, high-bandwidth memory chips. These are incredibly important in the AI computing world, as they allow the processors to quickly access the large volumes of information they require in order to perform their computations. Demand for memory chips is so high now that Micron estimates it will only be able to meet half to two-thirds of its medium-term demand. That has allowed it and its peers to raise memory prices dramatically, which is why its earnings have soared recently.
The need for memory will grow as more computing chips are produced, which puts Micron on a similar growth trajectory to the others chip companies mentioned. This makes Micron a clear beneficiary of the AI build-out, and its stock may still have a ton of room to run.

ARM to Post Q4 Earnings: Should the Stock Be in Your Portfolio Now?

Broadcom’s AVGO Semiconductor business is benefiting from the strong AI revenues, which surged 106% year over year in the first quarter of fiscal 2026. AI networking revenues grew 60% year over year and represented one-third of AI revenues. The company continues to gain market share in AI networking, driven by strong adoption of Tomahawk 6 switch as well as Broadcom’s 200G SerDes, which are capturing demand from hyperscalers.

It provides one of the industry’s most comprehensive sets of AI routing capabilities and interconnect options, built to handle the demand of AI clusters scaling beyond one million custom accelerators (XPUs).
An expanding portfolio bodes well for Broadcom’s prospects. The company has introduced 3.5D XPU, 102.4T Ethernet switches with co-packaged optics, 400G/lane optical DSPs, 200G/lane Ethernet retimers and AECs, and PCIe Gen6 connectivity solutions. AVGO has also extended a partnership with Meta Platforms META under which the companies will co-develop multiple generations of META’s custom AI chips (MTIA). AVGO will provide its XPU platform and advanced networking technologies to help Meta Platforms build a high-performance AI infrastructure. The partnership includes an initial deployment exceeding 1 gigawatt of computing capacity, with plans to scale to multiple gigawatts over time.
Broadcom expects a positive second-quarter fiscal 2026 performance, with AI revenues of $10.7 billion, suggesting a 140% year-over-year upsurge. AI networking is expected to accelerate in the second quarter of fiscal 2026 and grow to 40% of the total AI revenues. Semiconductor revenues are expected to be $14.8 billion, indicating 76% year-over-year growth. Broadcom expects revenues of $22 billion, indicating 47% year-over-year growth for the second quarter of fiscal 2026. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is currently pegged at $22.04 billion, suggesting 46.9% growth from the figure reported in the year-ago quarter.
AVGO Faces Tough Competition in the Semiconductor Market
Broadcom is facing stiff competition from NVIDIA NVDA and Advanced Micro Devices AMD in the semiconductor space.
NVIDIA is benefiting from the strong growth of AI and high-performance accelerated computing. The growing demand for generative AI and large language models using GPUs based on NVIDIA’s Hopper and Blackwell architectures is aiding data center revenues. The company’s latest Blackwell Ultra GPUs deliver up to 25 times the token throughput for AI inference compared to Hopper 100, which strengthens NVIDIA’s dominance in AI-driven computing.

For the past 175 years, Corning (NYSE: GLW) has manufactured glass for everything from Thomas Edison's original lightbulb to Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone. However, Wall Street is focused on the company for a different reason right now.
Corning is one of the optical fiber industry's leading innovators, and it developed a series of cables that can transmit information much faster than traditional copper alternatives. They are in extremely high demand in the artificial intelligence (AI) industry, where data center operators are doing everything they can to increase processing speeds.

As a result, Corning stock is sitting on a 74% gain this year already, so it's obliterating other semiconductor stocks, including Nvidia, Broadcom, and Advanced Micro Devices, which have returned between 14% and 51% so far. Corning just released its earnings report for the first quarter of 2026 (ended March 31), and it included two new deals with major AI hyperscale customers, which could fuel even more upside in its stock from here.
Corning just signed two more blockbuster deals
Nvidia supplies the best graphics processing units (GPUs) for data centers, which are the primary chips used in AI development. Its customers typically configure them in the company's NV-Link 72 rack, which includes 72 GPUs, 36 central processors (CPUs), and various networking components. The rack is connected using around two miles of copper cable, but data center operators are gradually shifting to fiber instead.
Fiber-optic cables can transmit information much faster, and over much longer distances than copper, with minimal data loss. Corning recently released a new product called Multicore Fiber (MCF), which packs four cores into a standard 125-micron strand of fiber. Since MCF has 4 times the density of a single-core solution, data center operators can achieve the same performance with 75% fewer cables.
This could lead to better processing speeds and substantial cost savings for both data center operators and AI developers.
In January, Facebook parent Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) signed an agreement to buy $6 billion worth of Corning's optical fiber over the next few years, which it will use in its AI data centers. In March, Corning broke ground on a brand-new factory where it will manufacture cables specifically for Meta, which highlights the scale of the deal.
During his April 28 conference call with investors recapping Corning's first-quarter operating results, CEO Wendell Weeks said the company signed two more long-term deals with hyperscale customers. He said they are of similar size and scope to the Meta agreement, so they could be worth billions of dollars over the next few years.
Corning's AI-related revenue is accelerating
Corning's optical communications business generated $1.8 billion in revenue during the first quarter of 2026. It represented year-over-year growth of 36%, which was an acceleration from the 35% growth the segment delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025 three months earlier. It was the largest of Corning's five business units, which combined to generate $4.3 billion in core revenue overall for the quarter.
The blistering demand for optical fiber has given Corning an incredible amount of pricing power, which is boosting its profit margins. The enterprise communications segment generated $387 million in net income during the first quarter, which was up by an eye-popping 93% from the year-ago period. It accounted for over half of Corning's total core net income of $612 million, which highlights what an impact AI had on its business overall.
Corning stock could be a solid long-term buy
Corning produced non-GAAP (adjusted) earnings of $2.69 per share over the past four quarters, placing its stock at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 57.7. Nvidia, Broadcom, and AMD trade at P/E ratios of 44.6, 55, and 77.5, respectively, so Corning stock is roughly in the middle of the pack.
However, Wall Street expects Corning to grow its earnings to $3.94 per share in 2027, placing its stock at a forward P/E ratio of just 38.8.That leaves room for upside over the next 18 months or so, but long-term investors will probably reap the biggest rewards from here, because Weeks predicts the market for data center optical fiber could triple in the coming years thanks to AI-related demand.
