Which of these well-known streaming stocks is the better one to buy in June?
The behemoth is slowing down
Netflix continues to dominate video entertainment. It has more than 325 million subscribers. Its massive scale supports huge profits. The company's operating margin in Q1 was a reported 32.3%.
But it's becoming clear that its next phase will be defined by slower growth. Management expects sales to rise 13.3% (at the midpoint) year over year in 2026, which would be the slowest pace since 2012 (besides 2022 and 2023).
During theearnings call co-CEO Greg Peters mentioned that Netflix hasn't yet captured 45% of its addressable market based on about 800 million total smart-TV-capable households in the countries it operates in. This means that there is still a sizable untapped opportunity to continue pushing growth. In theory, this is the correct view.
However, bringing these consumers on as Netflix subscribers will be much more difficult than it has been. Competition is incredibly fierce. Key markets like the U.S. and Canada are essentially saturated. And growth in emerging countries, like India, Brazil, and Mexico, will come from cheaper membership tiers that will have less impact on revenue.
Based on the stock's 12% decline this year and the 39% fall from its peak in June 2025, the market might be accepting this new reality. Shares trade at a price-to-earnings ratio of 26.5, representing a 36% discount to the five-year trailing average.
It's all about free cash flow
During the first quarter (ended March 31), Roku reported a year-over-year revenue gain of 22.4%, with the top line totaling $1.2 billion. This was the fastest growth rate since Q1 2022.
The company's platform segment is operating at a high level. Its sales were up 28% in Q1, driven by a 27% increase in advertising and a 30% jump in subscriptions. This is a very high-margin revenue stream, with the gross margin coming in at 51.6%.
Roku's position as an agnostic streaming ecosystem works to its benefit. While content companies spend copious amounts of money to develop shows and movies, this business provides a meaningful value proposition as the aggregator of all those offerings. More than 100 million households are Roku customers, giving the company's smart-TV operating system the leading market share in North America.
Although revenue trends get the attention, it's time investors start to focus on the profit story. The leadership team forecasts $360 million in net income this year. And in 2028, they expect Roku to generate $1 billion in free cash flow (FCF), up 107% from 2025. Cost controls and rising high-margin platform revenue are tailwinds.
Shares trade at 17.3 times the 2028 $1 billion FCF estimate. That's a compelling valuation to pay, given Roku's outstanding growth trajectory.
What's your objective?
Both Netflix and Roku are in strong positions within the broader media and entertainment landscape. Investors looking to bet on streaming's ongoing success are wise to consider these two businesses.
Netflix is the safer opportunity. It has established a leadership position, supported by a tech-enabled platform and strong content creation. And its impressive profitability is hard to overlook.
Roku's advertising-heavy model is taking off, even though it can be more cyclical. But the company's rising FCF is an encouraging trend that can boost shareholder value.
Investors deciding between these two streaming stocks must determine their ultimate objective. If you're after a proven and stable company, Netflix is the better choice. But if you want the chance to achieve better returns, Roku has more upside over the next five years.

2 Non-AI Tech Stocks to Buy Now for 40%+ Upside Following the Nasdaq Slide
AI and chip stocks tanked on Friday, sending the Nasdaq tumbling 4%. The bulls could dig their heels in again early next week. But there's no doubt that a larger pullback will happen at some point to provide a healthy recalibration because stocks can only climb so high before the laws of market gravity take over.
This means investors should start buying tech stocks right now that haven't rallied to new all-time highs alongside semiconductor and artificial intelligence stocks.
Netflix stock is down almost 40% from its 2025 highs to trade at a discount to the technology sector (22X forward earnings vs. 26.1X) despite crushing it over the last 10 and 20 years. The streaming entertainment giant is more resilient to AI threats than many technology firms, and Netflix is set to grow its earnings by 42% in 2026 on 14% higher sales.
Meanwhile, Uber has fallen 30% since October, and its average Zacks price target offers 48% upside from its current levels. The ride-hailing company's long-term upside remains in place even as it faces possible disruptions from tech firms looking to capture their share of a possible future full of robotaxis and autonomous delivery vehicles.
Uber and Netflix are also looking to find support at some key technical ranges that might make them more enticing for long-term investors since they offer strong growth that's not based on AI promises alongside solid value in an overheated market.
Portfolio Rotation: Buy Stocks Outside AI and Semiconductors
AI and chip stocks look overheated in the short run. For example, the iShares Semiconductor ETF soared 95% between March 30 and June 4, taking it miles above its 10-week moving average and to its most overbought RSI levels in over a decade.
Some investors might not want to chase AI and chip stocks that have soared 50%, 100%, or 200% YTD (including the huge fall on Friday).
The next pullback to a key technical level might be scooped up rather quickly considering that the long-term AI outlook is bullish. It is just hard to try to chase stocks here, especially if Friday's selling triggers the start of a near-term selloff.
Thankfully, the long-term bull case for the stock market remains firmly intact. Total annual S&P 500 earnings are projected to grow 20% in 2026 on 9.3% higher sales, blowing away 2024 and 2025's growth rates. The benchmark is projected to follow this up with 16.7% EPS expansion next year and 15.2% higher in 2028.
More importantly, all 16 Zacks sectors are projected to report YoY earnings growth in 2026, highlighting impressive expansion and economic resilience despite fears.
Buy Tech Stock Uber Now for Value, Growth & 40% Upside
Uber Technologies, Inc.'s core ride-hailing and delivery businesses are more popular than ever, particularly among higher-income consumers who are less impacted by inflation and economic cycles. The company is also running a physical business that's not going to be disrupted by AI. Uber is poised to thrive in the potential driverless vehicle era through numerous partnerships and beyond.
Uber's gross bookings are projected to jump 21% in 2026, based on our Zacks Key Company Metrics data. Its monthly active platform customers (MAPCs) are projected to climb 9% to 219.9 million in 2026, up from 202 million last year, 171 million in 2024 (vs. 118 million in 2021).
The firm has exploded in popularity as it delivery business and ride-hailing units gain steam in the U.S. and globally. It grew its revenue 300% from the pre-Covid 2019 period's $13 billion to $52 billion in 2025. Looking ahead, Uber is projected to grow its revenue by 11% in 2026 and over 15% next year to $66.6 billion.
The firm's Uber One paid membership surpassed 50 million members globally in the first quarter of 2026, with "50% of Mobility and Delivery Gross Bookings now generated by members." Uber is expanding its business via deals with Expedia to capture more "everyday consumer intent" across mobility, local commerce, and travel.
It has also turned into a profitable company by taking a larger percentage of each ride/delivery fare while optimizing pricing and driver payments, alongside other profitability efforts. Uber posted GAAP earnings per share of $4.73 a share in FY25 vs. a loss of -$4.69 a share in 2022.
That said, its EPS growth is projected to take a hit in 2026 due to a ramp-up in investments across autonomous vehicles/robotaxis, international delivery expansion, AI efforts, and a key accounting change due to a business model change in the UK. Thankfully, it's projected to bounce back and return to YoY growth in FY27 and beyond.
Uber stock has dropped 30% from its October 2025 highs. The stock has climbed 70% since going public in May 2019. It is trying to hold its ground at the key technical range above, while trying to finally climb back above its 21-week moving average.
Uber is trading 95% below its highs and 22% below Tech at 20.2X forward earnings. It also trades at a 65% discount to Tech and 60% against its peaks at 2.4X forward sales. Uber's average Zacks price target offers 48% upside from its current $70.71 a share.
NFLX: Buy This Tech Stock Now and Hold Forever?
Netflix, Inc. stock has fallen ~40% from its summer 2025 highs, providing investors with a great chance to buy a proven tech giant that's growth isn't tied to lofty AI goals.
Plus, NFLX's at-home entertainment model isn't easily disrupted by AI, and it's one of the last small luxuries that people cut back on.
NFLX stock has skyrocketed ~20,700% in the past 20 years and 750% in the past decade, to blow away tech during both periods.
Yet, its recent fall, coupled with its strong earnings growth outlook, has it trading at a 60% discount to its highs and 15% below Tech at 22.0X forward 12-month earnings. Netflix is trading at some of its most oversold RSI levels in the last 10 years and attempting to hold its ground at a key 2024 breakout range.
NFLX's average Zacks price target marks 42% upside from its current levels, and it would have to jump nearly 65% to return to its all-time highs.
Netflix's balance sheet is strong, greatly expanding its shareholders' equity in the past five-plus years. It is also now churning out strong free cash flow growth, boosted by its ability to raise prices, streamline operations, and more. And it isn't caught up in the AI arms race that's starting to drain the Mag 7's cash reserves.
NFLX formally dropped out of the bidding war to buy Warner Bros. Discovery. The move will turn out to be a win in the long run since it preserved its core business model and balance sheet. Netflix said it crossed the 325 million paid memberships milestone in the final quarter of 2025, up from 302 million in 2024.
The streaming TV giant Netflix rolled out a lower-cost, ad-supported subscription plan in the fall of 2022. The ad-based tier has gained a ton of momentum since then, helping it compete in a highly competitive streaming marketplace.
On top of that, Netflix's expansion into live sports (deals with the NFL, WWE, and much more), reality TV, podcasts, and more has helped it retain and attract subscribers. It is even rolling out video game content.
The company is projected to grow its revenue by 14% in 2026 and 12% next year to reach $57.47 billion. This YoY growth is roughly in line with its 12.7% average sales expansion in the trailing five years.
NFLX is projected to grow its earnings by 42% in 2026 and 7% in FY27, following 28% growth last year and 65% in 2024.

Netflix's market cap will need to expand by 192% over the next four years to reach the 13-figure club, which currently has only 15 members in it. This translates to a robust 30.7% annualized growth rate.
As a reference, over the past four years, Netflix's valuation has risen by 289%. However, this comparison might be skewed since the stock tanked in 2022 due to subscriber losses, so it was starting from a low base.
It doesn't seem likely that Netflix will be able to reach a trillion-dollar market cap by 2030. For starters, its valuation isn't cheap, so there is a low probability that the multiple can introduce meaningful upside. The stock trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 26.3.
Additionally, the company's growth is slowing. Management expects Netflix to report $51.2 billion in revenue in 2026 (at the midpoint), which would be up 13.3% year over year.
Long gone are the days of greater than 20% annualized top-line gains. This isn't exactly a surprising revelation. Netflix is more mature than it was in its earlier years. And competition for attention is fierce.

Even if you have zero interest in buying SpaceX when it goes public as early as June 12, its initial public offering (IPO) is highly likely to affect your portfolio.
About 156 million U.S. adults own stocks. And a lot of that wealth is in S&P 500 index funds, mutual funds, and market-cap weighted growth-focused exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that could soon own SpaceX.

Investors looking for a scoop of SpaceX rather than a sprinkle have come to the right place. Out of Vanguard's 56 low-cost equity-focused ETFs, the Vanguard Communication Services ETF (NYSEMKT: VOX) will likely hold (by far) the highest percentage of SpaceX stock.
The SpaceX IPO is a market-altering event
SpaceX is raising $75 billion at a valuation of around $1.75 trillion -- making it the largest IPO in history. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 (the largest 100 non-financial companies on the Nasdaq Composite) are paving the way for fast-track entry for mega-cap growth stocks like SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI, potentially weeks after they go public.
The fast-track entry will allow these behemoth companies to bypass the traditional seasoning period, during which newly public companies are assessed against core principles. The issue with the seasoning period is that it effectively creates a lag, so a newly listed company can post monster gains that index fund investors miss out on. And then, the company is added to the index at a higher price. This is exactly what happened with Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), which went public in 2010 but wasn't added to the S&P 500 until December 2020, when it had a market cap in the hundreds of billions.
However, valuing SpaceX at $1.75 trillion right off the bat would effectively break index funds and passively managed market-cap-weighted ETFs, because the float of $75 billion would be simply too small for funds to properly weight SpaceX as a top holding. Therefore, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 will most likely weight SpaceX based on three to five times the value of the shares available to the public to trade, known as the float, rather than its market cap. And as insiders sell SpaceX shares, the float will increase, and so will SpaceX's weight.
Even if SpaceX were weighted by market cap at $1.75 trillion, it would account for only a little over 2% of the S&P 500. That could still be a meaningful stake for investors with the bulk of their hard-earned savings in an S&P 500 index fund. But investors looking for outsize SpaceX exposure through a low-cost ETF should instead consider the Vanguard Communication Services ETF.
Preparing the communications sector for liftoff
The sector-based ETF invests in the largest communication sector stocks. And although it remains to be seen which of the 11 Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) sectors SpaceX joins, I think communications will be the obvious choice, given that SpaceX makes the bulk of its revenue from its Starlink network of low-Earth-orbit satellites and owns the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
If SpaceX joins the communications sector at three to five times its $75 billion float, it would have a valuation weighting of $225 billion to $375 billion, which would put it ahead of Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) but likely behind Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) for the fourth spot in the Vanguard Communication Services ETF. However, SpaceX will allow insiders to sell some of their holdings well before the usual 180-day lockup period. As my colleague Bram Berkowitz outlines, additional sales could take place at least five to 10 trading dates after the IPO, as well as 70, 90, 105, 120, and 135 days after the IPO.
That should give SpaceX enough time to be market-cap weighted rather than float weighted by the end of 2026. And if that were to happen, and SpaceX were to join the communications sector and retain its lofty $1.75 trillion valuation, it could make up around 19% of the Vanguard Communications Sector ETF.
That's a lot of "what ifs." But the point is that as long as SpaceX gets added to the communications sector, and it doesn't crash after its IPO, it will very quickly become a top-three holding in the communications sector alongside Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) and Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) (NASDAQ: GOOG).
Add it all up, and the Vanguard Communication Services ETF is an intriguing buy for investors seeking outsize exposure to SpaceX through an ETF wrapper.

Prediction: SpaceX Will Be 19% of This Low-Cost Vanguard ETF Before the End of 2026

AI and chip stocks tanked on Friday, sending the Nasdaq tumbling 4%. The bulls could dig their heels in again early next week. But there’s no doubt that a larger pullback will happen at some point to provide a healthy recalibration because stocks can only climb so high before the laws of market gravity take over.
This means investors should start buying tech stocks right now that haven’t rallied to new all-time highs alongside semiconductor and artificial intelligence stocks.
Netflix stock is down almost 40% from its 2025 highs to trade at a discount to the technology sector (22X forward earnings vs. 26.1X) despite crushing it over the last 10 and 20 years. The streaming entertainment giant is more resilient to AI threats than many technology firms, and Netflix is set to grow its earnings by 42% in 2026 on 14% higher sales.
Meanwhile, Uber has fallen 30% since October, and its average Zacks price target offers 48% upside from its current levels. The ride-hailing company’s long-term upside remains in place even as it faces possible disruptions from tech firms looking to capture their share of a possible future full of robotaxis and autonomous delivery vehicles.

Uber and Netflix are also looking to find support at some key technical ranges that might make them more enticing for long-term investors since they offer strong growth that’s not based on AI promises alongside solid value in an overheated market.
Portfolio Rotation: Buy Stocks Outside AI and Semiconductors
AI and chip stocks look overheated in the short run. For example, the iShares Semiconductor ETF SOXX soared 95% between March 30 and June 4, taking it miles above its 10-week moving average and to its most overbought RSI levels in over a decade.
Some investors might not want to chase AI and chip stocks that have soared 50%, 100%, or 200% YTD (including the huge fall on Friday).

The next pullback to a key technical level might be scooped up rather quickly considering that the long-term AI outlook is bullish. It is just hard to try to chase stocks here, especially if Friday’s selling triggers the start of a near-term selloff.
Thankfully, the long-term bull case for the stock market remains firmly intact. Total annual S&P 500 earnings are projected to grow 20% in 2026 on 9.3% higher sales, blowing away 2024 and 2025’s growth rates. The benchmark is projected to follow this up with 16.7% EPS expansion next year and 15.2% higher in 2028.

More importantly, all 16 Zacks sectors are projected to report YoY earnings growth in 2026, highlighting impressive expansion and economic resilience despite fears.
Buy Tech Stock Uber Now for Value, Growth & 40% Upside
Uber Technologies, Inc.’s UBER core ride-hailing and delivery businesses are more popular than ever, particularly among higher-income consumers who are less impacted by inflation and economic cycles. The company is also running a physical business that’s not going to be disrupted by AI. Uber is poised to thrive in the potential driverless vehicle era through numerous partnerships and beyond.
Uber’s gross bookings are projected to jump 21% in 2026, based on our Zacks Key Company Metrics data. Its monthly active platform customers (MAPCs) are projected to climb 9% to 219.9 million in 2026, up from 202 million last year, 171 million in 2024 (vs. 118 million in 2021).

The firm has exploded in popularity as it delivery business and ride-hailing units gain steam in the U.S. and globally. It grew its revenue 300% from the pre-Covid 2019 period’s $13 billion to $52 billion in 2025. Looking ahead, Uber is projected to grow its revenue by 11% in 2026 and over 15% next year to $66.6 billion.
The firm’s Uber One paid membership surpassed 50 million members globally in the first quarter of 2026, with “50% of Mobility and Delivery Gross Bookings now generated by members.” Uber is expanding its business via deals with Expedia to capture more “everyday consumer intent” across mobility, local commerce, and travel.

It has also turned into a profitable company by taking a larger percentage of each ride/delivery fare while optimizing pricing and driver payments, alongside other profitability efforts. Uber posted GAAP earnings per share of $4.73 a share in FY25 vs. a loss of -$4.69 a share in 2022.
That said, its EPS growth is projected to take a hit in 2026 due to a ramp-up in investments across autonomous vehicles/robotaxis, international delivery expansion, AI efforts, and a key accounting change due to a business model change in the UK. Thankfully, it’s projected to bounce back and return to YoY growth in FY27 and beyond.

Uber stock has dropped 30% from its October 2025 highs. The stock has climbed 70% since going public in May 2019. It is trying to hold its ground at the key technical range above, while trying to finally climb back above its 21-week moving average.
Uber is trading 95% below its highs and 22% below Tech at 20.2X forward earnings. It also trades at a 65% discount to Tech and 60% against its peaks at 2.4X forward sales. Uber’s average Zacks price target offers 48% upside from its current $70.71 a share.
NFLX: Buy This Tech Stock Now and Hold Forever?
Netflix, Inc. NFLX stock has fallen ~40% from its summer 2025 highs, providing investors with a great chance to buy a proven tech giant that's growth isn’t tied to lofty AI goals.
Plus, NFLX’s at-home entertainment model isn’t easily disrupted by AI, and it’s one of the last small luxuries that people cut back on.

NFLX stock has skyrocketed ~20,700% in the past 20 years and 750% in the past decade, to blow away tech during both periods.
Yet, its recent fall, coupled with its strong earnings growth outlook, has it trading at a 60% discount to its highs and 15% below Tech at 22.0X forward 12-month earnings. Netflix is trading at some of its most oversold RSI levels in the last 10 years and attempting to hold its ground at a key 2024 breakout range.
NFLX’s average Zacks price target marks 42% upside from its current levels, and it would have to jump nearly 65% to return to its all-time highs.

Netflix’s balance sheet is strong, greatly expanding its shareholders' equity in the past five-plus years. It is also now churning out strong free cash flow growth, boosted by its ability to raise prices, streamline operations, and more. And it isn’t caught up in the AI arms race that’s starting to drain the Mag 7’s cash reserves.
NFLX formally dropped out of the bidding war to buy Warner Bros. Discovery. The move will turn out to be a win in the long run since it preserved its core business model and balance sheet. Netflix said it crossed the 325 million paid memberships milestone in the final quarter of 2025, up from 302 million in 2024.

The streaming TV giant Netflix rolled out a lower-cost, ad-supported subscription plan in the fall of 2022. The ad-based tier has gained a ton of momentum since then, helping it compete in a highly competitive streaming marketplace.
On top of that, Netflix's expansion into live sports (deals with the NFL, WWE, and much more), reality TV, podcasts, and more has helped it retain and attract subscribers. It is even rolling out video game content.

The company is projected to grow its revenue by 14% in 2026 and 12% next year to reach $57.47 billion. This YoY growth is roughly in line with its 12.7% average sales expansion in the trailing five years.
NFLX is projected to grow its earnings by 42% in 2026 and 7% in FY27, following 28% growth last year and 65% in 2024.

Here are two of the best, in my view: Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) and Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX). For those with $500 to spare (that isn't put away for emergencies), here is why it'd be wise to invest that money in these stocks.

1. Nvidia
Nvidia's run over the past five years has been nothing short of exceptional. The company's dominance in the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) market -- the workhorse of artificial intelligence (AI) training -- has catapulted it to the largest corporation by market cap. Some may feel that Nvidia has peaked and that there isn't much upside left for the company. In fact, despite its most recent financial results being strong -- Nvidia beat expectations on the top and bottom lines -- Nvidia's shares dropped.
However, my view is that the semiconductor specialist remains one of the best growth stocks to invest in. Here are three reasons why. First, demand for the company's products should remain high through the medium term. Hyperscalers (and plenty of other companies) are pouring fortunes into AI infrastructure. This spending could reach between $3 trillion and $4 trillion by the end of the decade, according to Nvidia.
Nvidia's best-in-class GPUs and CUDA ecosystem, which give it a wide moat, position it well to capitalize on this. Second, as we experience a shift to agentic AI -- with AI agents running on CPUs (Central Processing Units) -- Nvidia also sees a large market to tap into. The company thinks it could be worth $200 billion. Nvidia is working hard to tap into this opportunity. Notably, it is launching its Vera CPU to compete in this market. Nvidia does not need to dominate it the way it does the GPU space.
But progress in this space could meaningfully move the needle over the next few years. Lastly, Nvidia's shares look surprisingly affordable. The company is trading at 25.6x forward earnings. And for reference, the average forward P/E (price-to-earnings) for information technology stocks is currently 25.9. Nvidia looks more than reasonably valued at current levels, and the stock could, once again, beat the market over the next five years. Investors can purchase two of its shares for $500 right now.
2. Netflix
Netflix has had a rough go of it this year, partly due to poor guidance following its first-quarter earnings update. The stock has declined 10% to date. Can it bounce back? Historically, it's been hard to keep Netflix down for too long. Post-earnings dips are often followed by sustained runs, especially for investors who hang onto its shares for long enough, say, several years. True, a lot has changed for Netflix over the past decade. It now has far more competition in the streaming market.
However, Netflix also has attractive opportunities and a wide moat that could allow it to deliver solid returns to patient investors. Streaming may seem ubiquitous, but analysts project it will continue to expand at least through the medium term.
For its part, Netflix is seeking to enter niches of the field where it lags significantly behind some competitors. The list includes long-form video podcasts and sports streaming, areas where, if it can make solid headway, it could boost viewership and engagement on its platform. Further, Netflix's core advantage remains its vast ecosystem, which provides it with ample data to guide its content strategy.
Netflix reportedly has industry-leading churn rates -- despite raising its prices pretty regularly -- which speaks volumes about the value its customers place on the platform. All of those points indicate that Netflix is well-positioned to continue riding the streaming tailwind for a while and deliver excellent returns, especially for investors who buy its shares on the dip. Investors can get six of the company's shares at current levels with some change to spare.
