Hal Goetsch at B. Riley Financial has set Upstart with a target price of $105 per share. That implies 102% upside from its current share price of $52.
Keith Weiss at Morgan Stanley has set Atlassian with a target price of $320 per share. That implies 101% upside from its current share price of $159.

Upstart Holdings: 102% implied upside
Upstart is an artificial intelligence (AI) lending platform that helps banks and credit unions better assess credit risk. Most lenders currently use simple rules-based systems built around FICO scores, but the limited number of variables they consider can lead to inaccuracies. Upstart solves that problem by analyzing over 2,500 data points per applicant, and its machine learning models improve each time a borrower makes or misses a payment.
Upstart's AI lending platform has models that optimize customer acquisition, fraud detection, and default forecasting. It also automates the underwriting process in most cases. In turn, lending partners profit because they can approve more borrowers at lower interest rates. Upstart says loans originated on its platform since Q2 2023 are on pace to return 11.3% annually, topping the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds by 7 percentage points.
Upstart reported solid second-quarter financial results. Total revenue increased 102% to $257 million driven by strong growth in personal loans, the core business that accounts for 90% of total originations. But demand for newer products (auto loan and home loans) increased exceptionally quickly. Meanwhile, non-GAAP net income was $0.36 per diluted share, up from a loss of $0.17 per diluted share last year.
Looking ahead, Wall Street estimates Upstart's adjusted earnings will grow at 66% annually through 2027. That makes the current valuation of 60 times earnings look relatively cheap, especially when the company beat the consensus earnings estimate in each of the last six quarters.
As a caveat, Upstart stock is very sensitive to macroeconomic data. Demand for loans depends in part on interest rates, so anything that makes rate cuts less likely would bad news for the company. Similarly, anything that hints at a slowdown in consumer spending, such as weak jobs data, would also be bad news. Investors comfortable with volatility should consider buying a small position.
Atlassian: 101% implied upside
Atlassian develops work management and service management software. The company is best known for Jira, a platform that helps teams plan, track, and collaborate on projects. Jira is the industry standard among software developers, but the product has also gained traction with non-technical departments like marketing, human resources, and finance.
Importantly, Gartner recently ranked Atlassian as a leader in work management software for development and operations teams, as well as marketing teams. No other company has been recognized as a leader in both categories. That is an important competitive advantage because it lets Atlassian efficiently deepen customer relationships by winning the business of one department and expanding across the organization.
Atlassian has also introduced AI agents for technical and non-technical teams. Rovo Dev helps developers plan, generate, and review code, while the standard version of Rovo helps other users surface insights and automate workflows in software products like Jira. Morgan Stanley analysts see Atlassian as one of the companies best position to benefit from AI agents.
Atlassian reported encouraging financial results in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025, which ended in June, beating estimates on the top and bottom lines. Revenue increased 22% to $1.3 billion, an acceleration from the previous quarter, and non-GAAP earnings increased 48% to $0.98 per diluted share. Management also said adoption of AI products climbed 50% to 2.3 million monthly active users.
Looking ahead, Atlassian estimates its $67 billion addressable market is expanding at 13% annually. Wall Street expects the company's adjusted earnings to increase at 19% annually through fiscal 2027. That makes the current valuation of 46 times earnings look somewhat expensive, but not absurd. I am skeptical about Atlassian shares returning 101% in the next year, but investors with a three- to five-year time horizon should consider buying a small position.

2 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Stocks to Buy Before They Soar 100%, According to Select Wall Street Analysts

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) on Tuesday closed unchanged, the Dow Jones Industrials Index ($DOWI) (DIA) closed up +0.47%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) closed down -0.06%. December E-mini S&P futures (ESZ25) fell -0.05%, and December E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQZ25) fell -0.08%.
Stock indexes settled mixed on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 posting a one-week high and the Dow Jones Industrial Average reaching a new record high. The broader market found support Tuesday on some positive corporate news. General Motors closed up more than +14% after raising its full-year adjusted EPS estimate. Also, 3M Co closed up more than +7% after raising its full-year adjusted EPS continuing operations estimate. In addition, RTX Corp closed up more than +7% after raising its full-year adjusted sales estimate. Finally, Coca-Cola closed up more than +4% after reporting better-than-expected Q3 comparable EPS.

On the negative side, mining stocks retreated on Tuesday after the price of gold sank by more than -5% and silver prices plunged by more than -7% due to long liquidation pressures following their rallies to record highs last week. Also, weakness in semiconductor stocks weighed on the Nasdaq 100.
Gains in stocks were limited on Tuesday as they consolidated some of their sharp gains made over the past two sessions. The market is focusing on progress in US-China trade talks, as President Trump on Monday reiterated his threat to boost tariffs on Chinese goods "if there isn't a deal" by November 1. President Trump is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping next week on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation conference in South Korea.
In some minor US economic news, the Oct Philadelphia Fed non-manufacturing business activity survey fell -9.9 to a 4-month low of -22.2.
The shutdown of the US government continues into its fourth week, weighing on market sentiment and delaying key economic reports. The government shutdown means delays in the release of government reports, including the last three weeks of weekly initial unemployment claims and the Sep payroll report. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) said the September consumer price report, which was initially scheduled to be released last Wednesday, will be released this Friday. The White House has warned that if the government shutdown lingers, it would trigger widespread dismissals of employees in government programs that don't align with President Trump's priorities. Bloomberg Economics estimates that 640,000 federal workers will be furloughed during the shutdown, which would expand jobless claims and push the unemployment rate up to 4.7%.
Trade tensions between the US and China, the ongoing US government shutdown, and fears about credit quality in the US have sparked a buying spree in precious metals as a haven, with gold and silver reaching fresh all-time highs last Friday.
The markets this week will focus on earnings results as the Q3 earnings season continues. Rising corporate earnings expectations are a bullish backdrop for stocks. According to Bloomberg Intelligence, 85% of the S&P 500 companies that have reported so far have beaten forecasts. Also, more than 22% of companies in the S&P 500 that have provided guidance for their Q3 earnings results are expected to beat analysts' expectations, the highest in a year. However, Q3 profits are expected to have risen by +7.2% y/y, the smallest increase in two years. Also, Q3 sales growth is projected to slow to +5.9% y/y from 6.4% in Q2.
The markets are pricing in a 97% chance of a -25 bp rate cut at the next FOMC meeting on Oct 28-29.
Overseas stock markets settled higher on Tuesday. The Euro Stoxx 50 rallied to a new all-time high and closed up +0.10%. China's Shanghai Composite closed up +1.36%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 rose to a new record high and closed up by +0.27%.
Interest Rates
December 10-year T-notes (ZNZ5) on Tuesday closed up +5 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield fell -2.5 bp to 3.955%. T-note prices moved higher on Tuesday due to the ongoing US government shutdown, which could lead to additional job losses, reduced consumer spending, and a weakened US economy, potentially allowing the Fed to continue cutting interest rates. T-notes remained higher after the Oct Philadelphia Fed non-manufacturing business activity survey fell to a 4-month low.
European government bond yields moved lower on Tuesday. The 10-year German bund yield fell -2.5 bp to 2.552%. The 10-year UK gilt yield fell -2.7 bp to 4.478%.
Swaps are discounting a 2% chance for a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at its next policy meeting on October 30.
US Stock Movers
General Motors (GM) closed up more than +14% to lead gainers in the S&P 500 after raising its full-year adjusted EPS estimate to $9.75-$10.50 from a previous estimate of $8.25-$10.00.
Halliburton (HAL) closed up more than +12% after reporting Q3 revenue of $5.60 billion, better than the consensus of $5.39 billion.
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) closed up more than +11% to lead gainers in the Nasdaq 100 after it announced it has initiated a review of strategic alternatives to maximize shareholder value.
Gartner (IT) closed up more than +8% after William Balire said it was "impressed" by a demo of the company's AI-powered AskGartner tool at the IT Symposium/Xpo 2025 conference.
3M Co (MMM) closed up more than +7% to lead gainers in the Dow Jones industrials after raising its full-year adjusted EPS continuing operations to $7.95-$8.05 from a previous estimate of $7.75-$8.00.
RTX Corp (RTX) closed up more than +7% after raising its full-year adjusted sales estimate to $86.5 billion-$87.0 billion from a previous estimate of $84.75 billion-$85.50 billion.
Danaher (DHR) closed up more than +6% after reporting Q3 adjusted EPS of $1.89, stronger than the consensus of $1.72.
Crown Holdings (CCK) closed up more than +5% after boosting its full-year adjusted EPS estimate to $7.70-$7.80 from a previous estimate of $7.10-$7.50, above the consensus of $7.39.
Coca-Cola (KO) closed up more than +3% after reporting Q3 comparable EPS of 82 cents, above the consensus of 78 cents.
Mining stocks sold off on Tuesday after gold prices sank more than -5% and silver prices plunged more than -7%. As a result, Newmont (NEM) closed down more than -9% to lead losers in the S&P 500. Also, Barrick Mining (B), Coeur Mining (CDE), Kinross Gold (KGC), and Anglogold Ashanti Plc (AU) closed down more than -9%.
Chipmakers declined on Tuesday, weighing on the Nasdaq 100. Micron Technology (MU) closed down more than -2%. Also, Broadcom (AVGO), Marvell Technology (MRVL), ASML Holding NV (ASML), ARM Holdings Plc (ARM), and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) closed down more than -1%. In addition, Applied Materials (AMAT) closed down -0.93% and Nvidia (NVDA) closed down -0.81%.
Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF) closed down more than -17% after Wells Fargo Securities downgraded the stock to underweight from equal weight with a price target of $11.
NuScale Power (SMR) closed down more than -13% after Citigroup downgraded the stock to sell from neutral with a price target of $37.50.
Tempus AI (TEM) closed down more than -3% after TD Cowen downgraded the stock to hold from buy, citing valuation.
Alphabet (GOOGL) closed down by more than -2% after OpenAI unveiled the first AI-powered web browser, sparking competition with Alphabet's Google.
Verizon Communications (VZ) closed down more than -1% to lead losers in the Dow Jones Industrials after BNP Paribas Exane downgraded the stock to neutral from outperform.
Elevance Health (ELV) closed down more than -1% despite reporting better-than-expected Q3 operating revenue after the company said it sees 2025 Medicaid operating margin "modestly negative."

In afternoon trading on Tuesday, Services stocks are the best performing sector, higher by 1.1%. Within the sector, Warner Bros Discovery Inc (Symbol: WBD) and lululemon athletica inc (Symbol: LULU) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 10.2% and 5.5%, respectively. Investors in Gartner Inc (Symbol: IT) saw new options begin trading today, for the June 2026 expiration. One of the key data points that goes into the price an option buyer is willing to pay, is the time value, so with 245 days until expiration the newly trading contracts represent a potential opportunity for sellers of puts or calls to achieve a higher premium than would be available for the contracts with a closer expiration. Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU) stock has been in red-hot form in 2025. Shares of the memory specialist have nearly doubled so far this year as of this writing, and that's not surprising considering the pace at which its top and bottom lines have been growing.
Micron has been benefiting from the massive demand for memory chips that are deployed in data centers for tackling artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. At the same time, the company is on track to capitalize on the higher memory content in smartphones and personal computers (PCs), as these devices are now being equipped with bigger memory chips to run AI workloads locally.

In fact, it won't be surprising to see Micron repeat its stellar stock market performance in the coming year. Let's look at the reasons why this semiconductor stock has the potential to double once again.
Micron Technology seems set for another year of terrific growth
Micron reported its fiscal 2025 fourth-quarter results (for the year ended Aug. 28) on Sept. 23. The company finished the fiscal year with a remarkable 49% year-over-year increase in revenue to $37.4 billion. What's more, its non-GAAP earnings jumped by a remarkable 537% year over year to $8.29 per share.
So, Micron stock's phenomenal rise in 2025 seems justified, and AI has played a central role in helping the company report such terrific growth. After all, the company's revenue from sales of high-bandwidth memory (HBM), high-capacity random access memory (RAM), and server dynamic random access memory (DRAM) jumped by more than 5x in fiscal 2025 to $10 billion.
It is worth noting these chips are being deployed increasingly in data centers where high-performance, large-capacity memory is needed to support AI workloads such as model training and inference applications. The good part is that the demand for AI-capable memory chips such as HBM is set to keep soaring.
Goldman Sachs predicts that the demand for HBMs used in graphics processing units (GPUs) is on track to jump by 23% in 2026. Meanwhile, HBM deployed in application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) is expected to jump by a much stronger pace of 82% next year, accounting for a third of the total HBM market.
Even better, the average selling price (ASP) of HBM is on track to jump by 18.5% in 2026. This combination of higher volumes and prices should pave the way for remarkable growth in the HBM market next year. Importantly, Micron is in position to make the most of the HBM market's growth in 2026. In the words of CEO Sanjay Mehrotra on the company's latest earnings conference call:
Our HBM customer base has expanded and now includes six customers. We have pricing agreements with almost all customers for a vast majority of our HBM3E supply in calendar 2026. We are in active discussions with customers on the specifications and volumes for HBM4, and we expect to conclude agreements to sell out the remainder of our total HBM calendar 2026 supply in the coming months.
Micron, therefore, is likely to sell its entire HBM capacity for next year soon, despite the fact that it is adding new capacity to meet the surging demand. This should ensure another year of solid growth for the company's HBM business.
However, Micron's AI-driven memory opportunity won't be limited to just data centers in 2026. Market research firm Gartner estimates that sales of generative AI smartphones could jump by 32% next year. Also, AI-enabled PCs could witness a whopping 60% jump in revenue next year. Micron management points out that these AI-enabled devices are equipped with larger compute memory.
So, the growing mix of AI smartphones and PCs should give Micron's addressable market a nice boost in 2026. This explains why the company has issued impressive guidance for the current quarter, and that could pave the way for more upside in the stock price in the coming year.
Here's how the stock may double once again
Micron is expecting $3.75 per share in earnings in fiscal Q1 on revenue of $12.5 billion at the midpoint of its guidance range. That would translate to a year-over-year increase of 44% in revenue along with a jump of more than 2x in earnings to $3.75 per share. It is not surprising to see that analysts are expecting Micron to sustain its earnings growth rate throughout the year.
Consensus estimates are projecting earnings to double in the new fiscal year to $16.30 per share, which seems achievable considering the combination of an increase in memory prices and volumes. Assuming it can indeed hit that mark in the course of the coming year and trades at 22 times earnings after a year (in line with its trailing price-to-earnings ratio), its stock price could jump to $359.
That would be more than double its current stock price. Moreover, investors shouldn't forget that Micron is trading at a significant discount to the tech-laden Nasdaq-100 index's earnings multiple of 33. Since the market could reward it with a higher earnings multiple owing to its terrific growth, there is a good chance of this AI stock doubling once again in the coming year.

Prediction: This Magnificent Artificial Intelligence (AI) Stock Could Double Once Again in a Year

The S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) market index gained 1.9% in August 2025. That may not sound like much, but it's actually a pretty robust gain. Keep that up for 12 straight months and you'd have a total return of 25.3%.
Not every component of the index carried its weight last month. For example, Super Micro Computer (NASDAQ: SMCI) shares dropped 29.6% lower and Gartner (NYSE: IT) took a 25.8% haircut.

But I'm not here to dwell on the S&P 500's weakest performers. Instead, let's celebrate UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH), which delivered the index's strongest August showing with a 24.2% price gain.
UnitedHealth nursed some serious wounds when July ended
It should be noted that UnitedHealth entered August on a low note. The health insurance colossus posted a 20% price drop in July because of a disappointing bottom-line result and modest guidance in the second quarter of 2025.
The report was published on July 29, giving bearish investors just enough time to react with a brutal stock price cut before the end of that month. Taken together, the plunge-and-jump combination resulted in a 0.7% price drop over two months.
That said, UnitedHealth's recovery was based on two separate events on the same day.
Two big announcements powered the August surge
On Aug. 15, Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A) (NYSE: BRK.B) filed its latest trade reports, including a new position of 5 million UnitedHealth shares. Berkshire isn't known for explaining its stock picks in great detail, and Buffett himself probably didn't hit the proverbial buy button in this case. Warren Buffett's retirement is coming up soon, and his trusted lieutenants should carry a heavier load now.
Still, investors saw the trade as a top-of-the-line approval of UnitedHealth's investment value. Berkshire buys tend to have that effect, with or without Buffett's direct involvement.
And on the same day, UnitedHealth closed the $3.3 billion acquisition of home health expert Amedisys. The Berkshire position probably made a bigger difference, because the Amedisys deal had been pending since the summer of 2023.
