Barclays PLC BCS is assessing the launch of a blockchain-based platform to strengthen its payments and deposits infrastructure. The London-based lender has circulated requests for information to select technology providers as it evaluates potential partners for the initiative. The news was first reported by Bloomberg.
While the project remains at an early stage, the bank could move to choose providers as soon as April. However, a spokesperson declined to comment on the plans.
The proposed system may support applications like stablecoin payments and tokenized deposits. Stablecoins are digital tokens pegged to traditional currencies that enable round-the-clock settlement, while tokenized deposits represent bank balances on a distributed ledger.
By leveraging decentralized ledger technology, Barclays could enable faster settlement, including near-real-time and cross-border transfers, while improving transparency and operational efficiency compared with traditional payment rails.
BCS Joins as Industry Shifts to Blockchain Integration?
Barclays’ move reflects a broader industry shift, as traditional financial institutions increasingly experiment with blockchain-based settlement systems. What began as limited experimentation has gradually evolved into structured initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, transparency and settlement speed across banking operations.
Several major banks, including JPMorgan JPM, have already rolled out blockchain-driven offerings. JPMorgan introduced JPM Coin, a dollar-denominated deposit token that enables institutional clients to transfer funds on a blockchain network. These tokenized deposits represent money held in bank accounts but are issued on a distributed ledger, allowing payments to move more efficiently within the bank’s ecosystem.
Beyond deposit tokens, JPMorgan has explored blockchain applications for internal payments and cross-border transactions.
Likewise, HSBC Holdings plc HSBC has developed and rolled out a tokenised deposit service (TDS), initially launching in Hong Kong and Singapore to allow corporate clients to convert traditional bank deposits into digital tokens. Building on this, HSBC is expanding TDS to the United States and the UAE, targeting corporate users in key global markets. The extended rollout aims to bring 24/7 settlement capabilities, automation features like programmable payments and advanced treasury tools to clients in those regions.

Contrarian Capital Scales Back on Core Natural Resources as Coal Markets Normalize

Many experts believe President Trump's tariffs will hurt the U.S. economy. Several recent studies say U.S. businesses and consumers have borne most of the costs, and there is no reason to think that will change. While the Supreme Court recently struck down some of the duties, Trump has replaced them with a 10% global tariff.
Uncertainty about the economic impact has motivated some investors to move money from U.S. stocks into international markets. That's one reason the S&P 500 has essentially traded sideways this year, while the Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF (NYSEMKT: VPL) has added 18% and the Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF (NYSEMKT: VEA) has added 11%.

While neither index fund beat the S&P 500 over the last decade, their outperformance may continue in the months ahead if Trump's trade policies continue to sow uncertainty about the U.S. economy.
1. Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF
The Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF tracks the performance of about 2,300 companies located in Asia-Pacific countries, especially Japan, South Korea, and Australia. The index fund is most heavily weighted toward three stock market sectors: industrials (20%), financials (20%), and consumer discretionary (15%).
The top five holdings are:
Samsung Electronics: 4.6%.
SK Hynix: 3%.
Toyota Motor: 2.1%.
Mitsubishi Financial Group: 1.7%.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia: 1.5%.
While the Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF has beaten the S&P 500 by nearly 18 percentage points year to date, the index fund still underperformed by about 150 percentage points during the past decade. The primary reason it has done so well this year is exposure to Samsung and SK Hynix, the two largest memory chip manufacturers in the world.
Demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure has led to an unprecedented shortage in DRAM and NAND flash memory, causing prices to skyrocket. The International Data Corp. says the shortage could "persist well into 2027." But the cyclical nature of the memory chip industry will eventually become a headwind to Samsung and SK Hynix, at which point this index fund could underperform.
The Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF has an expense ratio of 0.07%, meaning shareholders will pay $7 per year on every $10,000 invested. The average expense ratio among similar funds is 0.68%. All things considered, this index fund is a sensible option for investors seeking exposure to stocks in the Asia-Pacific region of the globe.
2. Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF
The Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF tracks the performance of nearly 3,900 companies in developed markets outside of the United States, especially Japan, the United Kingdom, and Canada. The index fund is most heavily weighted toward three stock market sectors: financials (24%), industrials (18%), and consumer discretionary (11%).
The top five holdings are:
ASML: 1.8%.
Samsung Electronics: 1.7%.
SK Hynix: 1.1%.
Roche Holding: 1%.
HSBC Holdings: 1%.
While the Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF has beaten the S&P by nearly 11 percentage points year to date, the index fund underperformed by about 150 percentage points over the past decade. In fact, the returns in the Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF were nearly identical to those in the Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF during that period.
Once again, a big reason this index fund has outperformed in 2026 is its inclusion of Samsung and SK Hynix. However, it has not performed as well as the Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF because it lacks the same level of exposure to those chipmakers.
In most years, the greater diversity of this index fund has been a positive thing. For instance, it outperformed the Vanguard FTSE Pacific ETF by 19 percentage points between 2021 and 2025, partly because of its cheaper expense ratio of 0.03%. All things considered, the Vanguard Developed Markets ETF is a good choice for investors seeking diverse exposure to non-U.S. stocks in stable economies.

Worried About Tariffs? Buy 2 Vanguard Index Funds That Are Beating the S&P 500 in 2026.

Citigroup Inc. C announced agreements with several investors for commitments to purchase an aggregate 24% equity stake in Grupo Financiero Banamex, S.A. de C.V (Banamex). The deal represents another significant step in C’s ongoing divestiture of its Mexican consumer banking franchise as it prepares Banamex for a potential initial public offering (“IPO”).
After the close of all committed purchases, Citigroup will have sold 49% of Banamex's total shares. The company further does not expect to sell additional shares in 2026, giving the investor group time to drive value creation.
Details of C’s Banamex Stake Sale
Under the newly signed agreements, a group of institutional investors and family offices has committed to acquire, in aggregate, nearly 24% (around 499 million shares) of Banamex’s outstanding common stock at a fixed price of approximately MXN 43 billion (nearly $2.5 billion). At signing, the transaction implies a price-to-local GAAP book value of about 0.85x and a price-to-local GAAP tangible book value of approximately 1.01x, subject to customary purchase price adjustments.
The individual investor stakes are limited to a maximum of 4.9%. The transactions remain subject to customary closing conditions, including antitrust and other regulatory approvals in Mexico, and are expected to close in 2026.
The buyers include prominent global investors such as General Atlantic, Afore SURA (part of SURA Asset Management), Banco BTG Pactual, Chubb, funds managed by Blackstone, Liberty Strategic Capital and Qatar Investment Authority.
Ernesto Torres Cantú, head of International at Citigroup, stated that, “We are honored to have the backing of these buyers as we prepare for Banamex’s proposed initial public offering." Cantú further added, “Their investment is a further endorsement of Banamex’s long-term strategy, market leadership and growth prospects, and their commitment solidifies Banamex’s foundational position within Mexico’s banking system.”
Timeline of C's Mexico Consumer Business Exit
Citigroup’s divestiture of Banamex began with its January 2022 announcement to exit consumer, small business, and middle-market banking operations in Mexico, as part of a broader strategic refresh. The bank has retained and continues to invest in its Institutional Clients Group operations in the country.
In December 2024, Citigroup formally separated its institutional banking business from its consumer and middle-market operations, establishing two distinct entities, namely, Grupo Financiero Citi México and Grupo Financiero Banamex. This structural separation simplified operations and set the stage for Banamex’s potential entry into the public markets.
In December 2025, the company completed the sale of a 25% equity stake in Banamex to Mexican businessman Fernando Chico Pardo at a fixed price-to-book multiple, a deal first announced in September 2025. The recently announced 24% stake sale builds on these earlier steps, further advancing Citigroup’s plan to monetize its Mexican consumer business while preparing Banamex for a potential IPO.
C’s Broader Streamlining and Capital Reallocation Efforts
The Banamex divestiture is part of Citigroup’s multi-year transformation under CEO Jane Fraser, aimed at simplifying the organization, reducing structural complexity, and reallocating capital toward higher-return businesses.
In April 2021, the company announced plans to exit consumer banking across 14 markets in Asia and EMEA, and it has since exited nine markets. In February 2026, it completed the sale of its Russia-based unit, AO Citibank, to Renaissance Capital, marking its full exit from Russia and strengthening its Common Equity Tier 1 capital position. The previously announced wind-downs in China and Korea are substantially complete, while the sale of its Poland consumer banking business is expected to close by mid-2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
Beyond its geographic exits, Citigroup has been actively restructuring its operations to simplify management layers and boost efficiency. In January 2024, the company outlined plans to reduce its global workforce by roughly 20,000 employees by 2026, with over 10,000 positions already eliminated. These cost-saving initiatives, combined with ongoing consumer banking divestitures and automation programs, are projected to deliver $2–$2.5 billion in annualized savings by 2026. Management is also targeting a 60% efficiency ratio and another year of positive operating leverage in 2026.
These efforts are intended to free up capital that can be redirected toward Citigroup’s core institutional and wealth management businesses in key global hubs, including Singapore, Hong Kong, the UAE, and London, supporting the bank’s goal of achieving a 4–5% compound annual revenue growth rate through 2026.

In November 2025, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. GS reached an agreement with ING Bank Slaski to divest its Polish asset management firm, TFI. The company will maintain its support for corporate and institutional clients, fostering Sri Lanka’s economic growth and facilitating cross-border trade and investment between local businesses and global partners.

Citigroup Agrees to Sell 24% Banamex Stake, Moves Closer to IPO Plan

Let's look at three recent stock-split stocks that still have upside ahead, according to Wall Street.
Stock-split buy No. 1: Netflix -- 73% implied upside
Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) stock has been a winning investment for patient investors. The stock has gained 782% over the past decade (as of this writing), resulting in last year's 10-for-1 stock split.
The stock is currently 41% off its peak (as of this writing), as concerns mount about the acquisition of assets from Warner Bros. Discovery. Paramount Skydance's hostile takeover bid notwithstanding, Netflix has walked away from pricey content deals before, so I trust management's judgment not to engage in a costly bidding war.
The results are compelling. In the fourth quarter, Netflix generated record revenue that climbed 17% to $12 billion, its fastest pace of growth in nearly five years. This drove diluted earnings per share (EPS) up 30% to $0.56.
Wall Street is siding with Netflix. Of the 44 analysts who have offered an opinion in February, 70% rate it a buy or strong buy, and the Street's average price target of $111 implies potential additional upside of 43%.
BMO Capital analyst Brian Pitz is more bullish than his peers, with an outperform (buy) rating and a $135 price target, suggesting potential gains of 73% for Netflix shareholders. The analyst calls the company's result "solid" and cites its growing ad revenue, which is expected to double to $3 billion this year, or 6% of Netflix's revenue.
The stock is currently trading for 31 times earnings, its lowest valuation in three years. That, along with the company's consistent track record, makes Netflix stock a buy.
Stock-split buy No. 2: Booking Holdings -- 90% implied upside
Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG) stock has been one of the best-performing stocks of the past quarter-century, rewarding patient investors with returns of more than 31,000%. Just this week -- after years of speculation -- the online travel agent announced a massive 25-for-1 stock split.
The stock tumbled this week amid fears of a travel-related slowdown, but the results tell a compelling story. Fourth-quarter revenue grew 16% year over year to $6.3 billion, driving EPS up 38% to $44.22. Gross booking rose 16%, while room nights increased 9%. The company's cash generation was outstanding, as operating cash flow of $1.5 billion soared 107% and free cash flow of $1.4 billion surged 120%.
Booking Holdings has a strong contingent of Wall Street support. Of the 39 analysts who offered an opinion in February, 77% rate the stock a buy or strong buy, with an average price target of $5,915, implying potential upside of 45%.
HSBC analyst Meredith Prichard Jensen is much more bullish, with a buy rating and $7,746 price target -- the highest on Wall Street -- implying potential upside of 90%. She cited the company's better-than-expected results, calling Booking an "undervalued global leader."
The stock is 30% off its peak and now trades for 24 times earnings, well below its three-year average multiple of 29. This gives discerning investors the opportunity to get Booking Holdings stock at a significant discount.
Stock-split buy No. 3: ServiceNow -- 149% implied upside
ServiceNow's (NYSE: NOW) stock has gained 852% over the past decade, despite plunging 55% from its peak (as of this writing), largely due to its then-lofty valuation. At the time, the stock traded above $800 per share, prompting its 5-for-1 stock split.
The stock has also been caught up in the downturn in software-as-a-service (SaaS) stocks. There are fears its software tools, which automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows, will be disrupted by artificial intelligence (AI) -- yet the company's results remain robust.
In the fourth quarter, ServiceNow generated revenue that grew 21% year over year to $3.53 billion, driving adjusted basic EPS up 24% to $0.92. Furthermore, its remaining performance obligation (RPO) climbed 27% to $24.3 billion, building a solid foundation for future growth.
Wall Street is optimistic. Of the 44 analysts who offered an opinion in February, 91% rate the stock a buy or strong buy, with an average price target of $189, implying potential upside of 81%.
Citizen's analyst Patrick Walravens is even more bullish, with an outperform (buy) rating and a $260 price target -- the highest on Wall Street -- implying upside potential of 149%. He cites the company's revenue growth, margin expansion, and "attractive financial profile" for his bullish view.
ServiceNow has shed last year's frothy valuation and now trades for 30 times earnings. Given its compelling growth prospects, ServiceNow is worth a look.

3 Stock-Split Stocks to Buy Before They Soar Between 73% and 149% According to Select Wall Street Analysts

Shares of Citigroup Inc. C gained nearly 2.2% after the company announced the completion of the sale of its Russian banking subsidiary, AO Citibank, to Renaissance Capital (RenCap). The transaction marks the final step in C’s full exit from its operations in Russia and transfers all remaining businesses, along with nearly 800 employees.
Financial Implications of C’s AO Citibank Sale
The sale of AO Citibank strengthens Citigroup’s capital position and streamlines its balance sheet. The transaction is expected to provide an estimated benefit of approximately $4 billion to C’s Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital in the first quarter of 2026.
The capital uplift is primarily driven by the deconsolidation of associated risk-weighted assets, a reduction in disallowed deferred tax assets and the release of related currency translation adjustment (“CTA”) losses previously recorded in Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income (“AOCI”).
While the first-quarter impact is favorable, Citigroup noted that the cumulative $1.6 billion CTA loss, recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025, has no net effect on its CET1 regulatory capital. Overall, the transaction removes Russia-related exposures and structurally improves the bank’s capital profile.
Timeline of Citigroup’s Russia Exit
Citigroup’s exit from Russia has progressed in phases over several years as part of a broader strategic repositioning. The process began in April 2021, when the company announced plans to exit its consumer banking business in the country under a wider strategic refresh.
In March 2022, the company expanded the scope of its planned exit to include local commercial banking operations and stopped onboarding new clients. By August 2022, it confirmed plans to wind down its consumer and local commercial banking businesses, including deposits, investments, loans and cards, affecting thousands of employees and multiple branches.
A key regulatory milestone was followed in November 2025 when a presidential order authorized the transfer of AO Citibank to Renaissance Capital, removing a major hurdle to the transaction. In December 2025, the company’s board approved the sale and classified the unit as “held for sale,” paving the way for the final transaction to close.
C’s Broader Streamlining and Capital Reallocation Efforts
Under CEO Jane Fraser, Citigroup continues to simplify its global footprint and redeploy capital toward higher-return core businesses. In April 2021, the company announced plans to exit consumer banking operations in 14 markets across Asia and EMEA.
As part of this repositioning, Citigroup separated its Mexican institutional banking business from its consumer and middle-market units in December 2024. It subsequently divested a 25% stake in Banamex in December 2025 and is preparing for a planned initial public offering of its Mexican consumer and small and middle-market banking businesses.
The company has also streamlined other international operations. In May 2025, it agreed to sell its consumer banking business in Poland, following the sale of its China-based consumer wealth portfolio in June 2024. The company continues to make progress with the wind-down of its Korea consumer banking operations.
Beyond geographic streamlining, Citigroup has also simplified its governance structure by eliminating management layers and reducing organizational complexity. In January 2024, the bank announced plans to cut 20,000 jobs by 2026 and has already reduced its headcount by more than 10,000 employees.
Collectively, these initiatives are expected to generate $2 billion to $2.5 billion in annualized run-rate savings by 2026. Supported by these actions, Citigroup projects revenues to increase at a 4–5% compound annual growth rate through 2026 while targeting a 10–11% return on tangible common equity.

Similar Steps Taken by Other Financial Firms
In November 2025, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. GS reached an agreement with ING Bank Slaski to divest its Polish asset management firm, TFI. The deal, targeted for completion in the first half of 2026 pending regulatory signoff, will end Goldman’s presence in the Polish retail investment market while cementing ING’s long-term ambitions in the region.

Citigroup Stock Up on AO Citibank Sale, Sees $4B CET1 Gain in Q1

Goldman Sachs recently updated its 10-year forecast for global equities. The S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC), a benchmark for the U.S. stock market, is projected to return 6.5% annually over the next decade. But analysts led by Peter Oppenheimer expect European and emerging-market stocks to do better.
In U.S. dollars, European stocks are projected to return 7.5% annually, supported by strong earnings growth, a relatively high dividend yield (about 3%), and stock buybacks. Similarly, emerging-market stocks are projected to return 12.8% annually, supported by particularly strong earnings growth in China and India.

For individual investors, Vanguard FTSE Europe ETF (NYSEMKT: VGK) and the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF (NYSEMKT: VWO) provide cheap and convenient exposure to stocks in those markets. Here are the important details.
1. Vanguard FTSE Europe ETF
The Vanguard FTSE Europe ETF tracks the performance of about 1,200 companies located across Europe, especially the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, and Germany. The index fund is most heavily weighted toward stocks in three market sectors: financials (24%), industrials (19%), and healthcare (13%).
These are the top five holdings in the Vanguard FTSE Europe ETF::
ASML Holding: 3.5%
Roche Holding: 2%
HSBC Holdings: 1.9%
Novartis: 1.8%
AstraZeneca: 1.7%
Importantly, while Goldman Sachs expects European equities to outperform U.S. stocks in the next decade, the opposite happened in the last decade. In fact, the S&P 500 achieved a total return of 335% (15.8% annually), while the Vanguard FTSE Europe ETF achieved a total return of 174% (10.5% annually).
Put differently, the U.S. benchmark has beat this Europe-focused index fund by 161 percentage points since February 2016. However, Goldman analysts argue that U.S. stocks are very expensive by historical standards, so European stocks (which generally trade at cheaper valuations) could outperform. Also, Goldman analysts expect the U.S. dollar to lose value relative to the European euro, contributing to outperformance for U.S.-based investors.
Nevertheless, I would keep a larger percentage of my portfolio in an S&P 500 index fund. But the Vanguard FTSE Europe ETF is certainly a cheap and convenient way to get exposure to European equities. It has an expense ratio of 0.06%, meaning shareholders will pay just $6 annually in fees on every $10,000 invested. That is much cheaper than the average expense ratio of 0.81% on similar funds.
2. Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF
The Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF measures the performance of about 6,200 companies located in emerging markets, especially China, Taiwan, and India. The fund is most heavily weighted toward stocks in three market sectors: technology (29%), financials (21%), and consumer discretionary (12%).
These are the top five holdings in the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF as listed by weight:
Taiwan Semiconductor: 11.6%
Tencent Holdings: 4.3%
Alibaba Group: 3.3%
HDFC Bank: 1%
Reliance Industries: 0.9%
Importantly, while Goldman Sachs expects emerging-market equities to outperform U.S. stocks in the next decade, the opposite happened during the last decade. As discussed in the previous section, the S&P 500 achieved a total return of 335% (15.8% annually). But the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF returned 162% (10.1% annually).
Put differently, the U.S. benchmark has beat this emerging-market index fund by 173 percentage points since February 2016. However, Goldman analysts argue emerging-market stocks will outperform in the next decade due to stronger earnings growth, higher dividend yields, and the U.S. dollar losing value relative to emerging-market currencies.
Personally, I find this emerging-market index fund more compelling than the European fund. The Chinese and Indian economies are projected to grow three to five times faster than Euro-area economies (and about twice as fast as the U.S. economy) in the next few years. Also, the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF has a low expense ratio of 0.06%, much cheaper than the average expense ratio on similar funds of 1.13%.
However, I think Goldman analysts may be underestimating how quickly U.S. companies' earnings will increase in the years ahead as artificial intelligence drives profitability. Indeed, Goldman in 2015 estimated the S&P 500 would return 5% annually in the next decade, but the index actually returned 11.8% annually between 2015 and 2024. So, I would still keep a larger percentage of my portfolio in an S&P 500 index fund.

Buy 2 Vanguard Index Funds to Beat the S&P 500 in the Next Decade, According to Wall Street Analysts

So what? Slow jobs growth hints at an economic slowdown, which is particularly concerning because the S&P 500 trades at a very expensive valuation. Nevertheless, most Wall Street analysts anticipate double-digit gains in the remaining months of 2026. Here's what investors should know.
The Wall Street consensus says the S&P 500 will climb about 10% in the remaining months of 2026
Collectively, S&P 500 companies reported an acceleration in revenue and earnings growth in 2025, and Wall Street anticipates another acceleration in 2026, driven by solid economic growth (supported by tax cuts and artificial intelligence spending) and one or two interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve.
In turn, most analysts expect double-digit gains in the S&P 500 in the remaining months of the year. The chart below provides a consolidated view of where various Wall Street research organizations and investment banks think the benchmark index will finish the year. It also shows the implied upside from the current level of 6,940.

The 20 Wall Street research organizations and investment banks listed above expect the S&P 500 to move higher in the remaining months of 2026, with projected returns ranging from roughly 2% to 17%. But the median forecast says the index will advance about 10%.
However, Wall Street has historically done a poor job forecasting where the S&P 500 will close in a given year, not because analysts are incompetent, but rather because predicting the future is impossible. In the last four years, the median year-end estimate for the S&P 500 was incorrect by an average of 16 percentage points.
Why Wall Street might be wrong about the S&P 500 in 2026
The S&P 500 currently trades at 22 times forward earnings, a valuation it has more or less maintained for the last 18 months. That is a meaningful premium to the 10-year average of 18.8 times forward earnings.
Previously, the S&P 500 has only sustained such an expensive valuation during two periods in history: the dot-com bubble in the late 1990s/early 2000s and the Covid-19 pandemic in the early 2020s. In both cases, the index ultimately dropped into a bear market.
The odds of a bear market in 2026 are arguably elevated because President Trump's tariffs are a source of economic uncertainty even in the best case scenario. Businesses have already cut back on hiring, and policy uncertainty will likely intensify as midterm elections approach. And uncertainty makes investors nervous.
Since 1950, the S&P 500 has return an average of just 4.6% in midterm election years, according to Carson Investment Research. More concerning, the S&P 500 has suffered an average intra-year drawdown of 17% during midterm election years. In other words, history says the index is likely to fall 17% at some point in 2026.
Importantly, investors should not interpret anything I've said as a reason to exit the stock market today. Past performance is never a guarantee of future results. But the current market environment warrants caution. Limit stock purchases to your highest-conviction ideas, and never buy stocks you aren't willing to hold through a steep drawdown.

The FTSE Developed ex-U.S. Index is a market-cap-weighted index rebalanced quarterly. Therefore, the stronger stocks will naturally stay in the index, while the weaker ones will drop out.
Schwab's ETF is passively managed and replicates the index's components to closely match its performance. Both the ETF and its underlying index have risen more than 40% over the past five years. Since it isn't actively managed, it only charges a low expense ratio of 0.03%.
As of this writing, SCHF has a net asset value (NAV) of $26.40 per share. That's just slightly below its current trading price of $26.60 per share, so it isn't overvalued relative to its underlying assets. It's also paid a trailing distribution yield of 3.4% over the past 12 months, which makes it an attractive ETF for income investors as interest rates decline.
Is it the right time to buy this international ETF?
I don't think it's a great idea to sell all your U.S. stocks, since the U.S. market has a proven track record of outperforming other markets over the long term. That said, investors who ignore international stocks could miss out on significant gains if the U.S. market stalls. Therefore, I believe it's still a great time to invest in SCHF -- even if you don't think the entire "ABUSA" thesis -- as a hedge against the U.S. market's near-term volatility.
