In the latest look at the underlying components of the S&P 500 ordered by largest market capitalization, NRG Energy Inc (Symbol: NRG) has taken over the #276 spot from Fair Isaac Corp (Symbol: FICO), according to The Online Investor.
Market capitalization is an important data point for investors to keep an eye on, for various reasons. The most basic reason is that it gives a true comparison of the value attributed by the stock market to a given company's stock. Many beginning investors look at one stock trading at $10 and another trading at $20 and mistakenly think the latter company is worth twice as much — that of course is a completely meaningless comparison without knowing how many shares of each company exist. But comparing market capitalization (factoring in those share counts) creates a true "apples-to-apples" comparison of the value of two stocks. In the case of NRG Energy Inc (Symbol: NRG), the market cap is now $32.58 billion, versus Fair Isaac Corp (Symbol: FICO) at $25.94 billion.

NRG Energy Now #276 Largest Company, Surpassing Fair Isaac

The VictoryShares WestEnd U.S. Sector ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 537,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 90,000. Shares of MODL were off about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Nvidia, trading up about 0.6% with over 80.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Oracle, up about 9.4% on volume of over 57.3 million shares. Fair Isaac is lagging other components of the VictoryShares WestEnd U.S. Sector ETF Wednesday, trading lower by about 9.8%.

That number works out to 52.2% of NLY's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 7.5 million shares. In trading on Tuesday, the Sprott Silver Miners & Physical Silver ETF is outperforming other ETFs, up about 5% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Hycroft Mining Holding, up about 10.9% and shares of Avino Silver & Gold Mines, up about 7.8% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF, off about 1.8% in Tuesday afternoon trading. A combination of geopolitical tension, technological disruption fears, and financial market stress has created one of the most opportunity-rich environments I have seen in some time. The conflict involving Iran, growing concerns about AI potentially disrupting large segments of the software industry, and several high-profile blowups in the private credit space have rattled sentiment across markets. Yet periods like this, when uncertainty dominates headlines, often create some of the most attractive entry points for disciplined investors.
Importantly, the broader macro backdrop remains constructive. Global economic growth continues at a solid pace, productivity gains are beginning to materialize from technological adoption, and enormous capital expenditures tied to the AI infrastructure buildout are flowing through the global economy. These forces collectively provide a powerful foundation for continued economic expansion.
The primary risk to that outlook at the moment is the escalating situation in Iran. Rising tensions in the region have pushed oil prices sharply higher and introduced the possibility of inflationary pressure if the conflict were to persist or intensify. A prolonged disruption to global energy markets could weigh on economic activity and complicate the outlook for policymakers. That said, as I will outline below, I currently assign relatively low odds to a drawn-out conflict and view some form of resolution in the near term as the more likely outcome.
Despite the geopolitical noise, the equity market itself remains remarkably resilient. Major indexes are still trading only a few percentage points below their record highs. At the same time, many of the market’s largest leaders remain well off their peaks. This dynamic reflects a broadening of market participation, an encouraging development that stands in sharp contrast to the persistent warnings over the past year about excessive index concentration. Rather than signaling weakness, the expansion of leadership across sectors is often characteristic of durable bull markets.
In recent pieces I highlighted opportunities in the Magnificent Seven and the software sector, while earlier coverage focused on energy and gold, both of which have performed exceptionally well. I continue to believe those themes remain intact, though after such strong momentum they may begin to consolidate, particularly if capital rotates back into sectors that now appear discounted.
Today I want to focus on several additional opportunities emerging across technology and financials, including Expedia, Nvidia, Fair Isaac, Broadcom, Apollo Global Management and Dell Technologies.
Interestingly, today’s market action may already be reflecting that view. Overnight, Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures were down more than 2%, yet by the open the market had staged a powerful reversal, pointing to the type of sharp, potentially capitulatory price action that often accompanies intermediate-term bottoms.
Why the Iran Conflict May Be Shorter Than Markets Fear
Despite the alarming headlines, several structural factors suggest the Iran conflict may be less likely to evolve into a prolonged regional war than many investors fear. According to my research, Iran has already suffered significant degradation of its military capabilities. Much of its missile-launch infrastructure has reportedly been destroyed, and the country has already used a large portion of its ballistic missile inventory while facing a relatively high failure rate. Just as importantly, the infrastructure needed to produce new missiles was damaged in prior strikes, meaning Iran cannot easily replenish its arsenal. These constraints limit Iran’s ability to sustain a long-duration conflict.
Iran also appears to have miscalculated strategically and diplomatically. By launching missiles at several Gulf states, Tehran inadvertently pushed governments that had previously tried to remain neutral closer to the US and Israel. Rather than destabilizing the region politically, the attacks created a rally-around-the-flag effect among Gulf monarchies and provided them political justification to support defensive and potentially offensive actions. Combined with the weakening of Iran’s proxy networks across the region, this further reduces the likelihood that Iran can maintain a prolonged confrontation.
Perhaps most importantly, the expected endgame appears to point toward a negotiated off-ramp rather than regime change. It seems to me that the US and Israel may spend several weeks degrading Iran’s military infrastructure before reopening diplomatic channels. Notably, President Trump’s public position has remained somewhat vague, particularly around what constitutes “unconditional surrender,” leaving room for a resolution that stops short of toppling the regime. In practice, this could mean Iran accepts new military constraints while the existing government remains in place. While a worst-case scenario cannot be ruled out, assessments suggest the probability of a prolonged regional war remains relatively low.
Something also worth noting is the price action in crude oil futures. Similar to what we are seeing in the Nasdaq and broader equity indexes, oil has experienced a sharp reversal that may signal a form of capitulation. Overnight, WTI crude futures briefly surged to $119.48, but prices have since reversed sharply, falling nearly $25 from those highs. While it is impossible to know whether that spike ultimately marks the peak in oil prices, this type of rapid surge followed by an equally aggressive pullback often occurs near turning points and increases the probability that the market may have already seen the worst of the panic-driven move.
Financial Sector Opportunities: Fair Isaac and Apollo Global Stocks
I have not focused much on the recent drama in the private credit market in my commentary, but it has become a major topic of discussion across the credit and debt industry. Private credit has expanded at an extraordinary pace, growing from roughly $500 billion in assets under management in 2020 to around $2 trillion today, and was virtually nonexistent as an institutional asset class just a decade ago.
Apollo Global Management has emerged as one of the clear leaders in this rapidly expanding market. The boom has been extremely lucrative for firms operating in the space, though the speed of growth has also raised concerns that some lenders may have become overly aggressive with underwriting standards. Blue Owl Capital has been the primary company in the headlines amid these concerns, fueling broader fears of stress within the private credit ecosystem.
Much of the commentary surrounding the issue has drawn comparisons to the 2008 financial crisis, though that characterization appears exaggerated. Leverage levels across the system are considerably lower, and the risks appear far more contained. Nevertheless, the concerns have pressured stocks across the alternative asset management space, including Apollo.
That pullback has created a potentially attractive entry point. Apollo Global Management currently trades at just 11.8x forward earnings, near one of its most compelling valuations in years. At the same time, earnings are projected to grow 14.3% annually over the next three to five years, while revenue is expected to climb in the high teens this year and next. Importantly, Apollo’s business is also highly diversified across asset management, insurance, and private markets, meaning its earnings power extends well beyond private credit alone.
Fair Isaac, meanwhile, has been caught up in a completely different selloff. Rather than credit market concerns, the stock has been pressured by the broader correction in software stocks, as well as lingering controversy surrounding price increases implemented more than a year ago. Despite that noise, the company’s underlying business continues to perform exceptionally well.
Shares currently trade at 35.2x forward earnings, which is not inexpensive on an absolute basis but looks more reasonable relative to the company’s historical valuation. Over the past decade, Fair Isaac has traded at a median multiple of roughly 50x earnings, reflecting the company’s powerful competitive moat and dominant position in credit scoring. That competitive advantage remains firmly intact, and analysts expect earnings to grow nearly 28.6% annually over the long term, suggesting the company’s premium valuation may continue to be justified.
Tech Stock Opportunities Multiply: NVDA, AVGO, EXPE and DELL
Concerns about overvalued technology stocks have dominated market conversations for much of the past year. Yet in many cases, the data no longer supports that narrative. After a period of sharp corrections and consolidations, several major technology companies are now trading at far more reasonable valuations while their underlying businesses continue to grow at impressive rates.
A number of tech leaders now stand out as particularly compelling opportunities, including Nvidia, Broadcom, Dell Technologies, and Expedia.
Nvidia, which carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), remains the clear leader in AI infrastructure. Despite its dominant position, the stock now trades at roughly 22.7x forward earnings, a modest multiple for a company expected to deliver long-term EPS growth of about 39% annually. Revenue is projected to surge 59% this year and another 27% next year, reflecting continued explosive demand for AI compute. Nvidia has also expanded its reach by investing in numerous AI startups, giving the company exposure across AI ecosystem.
Broadcom offers many of the same structural growth catalysts tied to AI infrastructure and data center expansion. Shares currently trade at around 31.9x forward earnings, while analysts expect earnings to grow roughly 48.6% annually over the next three to five years. Revenue growth is projected to remain exceptionally strong as well, with sales expected to rise 53% this year and 45% next year, remarkable growth for a company of Broadcom’s scale.
Dell Technologies represents a different type of opportunity within the AI trade. The company was an early beneficiary of the surge in demand for AI servers and data center hardware, and the stock has spent the past couple of years consolidating those gains. Today, Dell trades at a very reasonable 11.5x forward earnings, while analysts expect earnings to grow about 18% annually over the next three to five years. With its valuation compressed and demand for AI infrastructure continuing to expand, the stock appears well positioned for a potential breakout to new highs.
Finally, Expedia stands out as a true bargain within the broader technology sector. Shares currently trade at roughly 13x forward earnings, while analysts expect EPS to grow nearly 20% annually over the long term. In addition to its strong portfolio of consumer travel brands, Expedia has been building a rapidly expanding B2B travel platform, which allows partners to access its inventory and booking technology. That segment has become an increasingly important driver of growth having grown 24% in the past year.
Finding Opportunity in Uncertain Markets
Periods of uncertainty often create the most compelling investment opportunities. While geopolitical tensions and sector-specific fears have unsettled markets in the short term, the broader economic backdrop remains constructive and many high-quality companies are now trading at far more attractive valuations than they were just a year ago.
For disciplined investors willing to look through the current noise, opportunities are emerging across several sectors. If the macro environment remains stable and current fears begin to fade, these names could be well positioned to participate in the next leg of the bull market.

Fair Isaac, meanwhile, has been caught up in a completely different selloff. Rather than credit market concerns, the stock has been pressured by the broader correction in software stocks, as well as lingering controversy surrounding price increases implemented more than a year ago. Despite that noise, the company’s underlying business continues to perform exceptionally well.
Shares currently trade at 35.2x forward earnings, which is not inexpensive on an absolute basis but looks more reasonable relative to the company’s historical valuation. Over the past decade, Fair Isaac has traded at a median multiple of roughly 50x earnings, reflecting the company’s powerful competitive moat and dominant position in credit scoring. That competitive advantage remains firmly intact, and analysts expect earnings to grow nearly 28.6% annually over the long term, suggesting the company’s premium valuation may continue to be justified.
Tech Stock Opportunities Multiply: NVDA, AVGO, EXPE and DELL
Concerns about overvalued technology stocks have dominated market conversations for much of the past year. Yet in many cases, the data no longer supports that narrative. After a period of sharp corrections and consolidations, several major technology companies are now trading at far more reasonable valuations while their underlying businesses continue to grow at impressive rates.
A number of tech leaders now stand out as particularly compelling opportunities, including Nvidia, Broadcom, Dell Technologies, and Expedia.
Nvidia, which carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), remains the clear leader in AI infrastructure. Despite its dominant position, the stock now trades at roughly 22.7x forward earnings, a modest multiple for a company expected to deliver long-term EPS growth of about 39% annually. Revenue is projected to surge 59% this year and another 27% next year, reflecting continued explosive demand for AI compute. Nvidia has also expanded its reach by investing in numerous AI startups, giving the company exposure across AI ecosystem.
Broadcom offers many of the same structural growth catalysts tied to AI infrastructure and data center expansion. Shares currently trade at around 31.9x forward earnings, while analysts expect earnings to grow roughly 48.6% annually over the next three to five years. Revenue growth is projected to remain exceptionally strong as well, with sales expected to rise 53% this year and 45% next year, remarkable growth for a company of Broadcom’s scale.
Dell Technologies represents a different type of opportunity within the AI trade. The company was an early beneficiary of the surge in demand for AI servers and data center hardware, and the stock has spent the past couple of years consolidating those gains. Today, Dell trades at a very reasonable 11.5x forward earnings, while analysts expect earnings to grow about 18% annually over the next three to five years. With its valuation compressed and demand for AI infrastructure continuing to expand, the stock appears well positioned for a potential breakout to new highs.
Finally, Expedia stands out as a true bargain within the broader technology sector. Shares currently trade at roughly 13x forward earnings, while analysts expect EPS to grow nearly 20% annually over the long term. In addition to its strong portfolio of consumer travel brands, Expedia has been building a rapidly expanding B2B travel platform, which allows partners to access its inventory and booking technology. That segment has become an increasingly important driver of growth having grown 24% in the past year.
Finding Opportunity in Uncertain Markets
Periods of uncertainty often create the most compelling investment opportunities. While geopolitical tensions and sector-specific fears have unsettled markets in the short term, the broader economic backdrop remains constructive and many high-quality companies are now trading at far more attractive valuations than they were just a year ago.
For disciplined investors willing to look through the current noise, opportunities are emerging across several sectors. If the macro environment remains stable and current fears begin to fade, these names could be well positioned to participate in the next leg of the bull market.

1. Axon Enterprise
Axon (NASDAQ: AXON) makes TASERs, body cameras, multiple other law enforcement-related products, and the software that ties them together. But describing it that way misses the transformation. Axon has become an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered public safety platform.
Fourth-quarter 2025 revenue hit $797 million, up 39% year over year. Full-year revenue reached $2.8 billion, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth above 30%. Annual recurring revenue surpassed $1.3 billion, growing 35%. Total future contracted bookings stood at $14.4 billion, up 43%.​
The company just set a 2028 target of $6 billion in annual revenue with 28% adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margins. That's more than doubling the business in three years. The roadmap includes Axon 911 (built on acquisitions of Prepared and Carbyne), Axon Vehicle Intelligence, and Axon Assistant -- an AI tool that automates police report writing.
The valuation is rich, but the execution is richer. This is a long-term hold.
2. Vertiv
If you operate data centers running AI models, you very likely also need power and cooling to keep them running. Vertiv (NYSE: VRT) supplies both to data centers worldwide, and the demand curve is vertical.
Full-year 2025 revenue reached $10.2 billion, up 28% year over year. Adjusted operating margins expanded to 20.4%. Organic orders surged 81%, and the company exited 2025 with a backlog of $15.0 billion -- more than a full year of revenue. Adjusted free cash flow hit $1.89 billion, up 66%. Q4 earnings jumped 37% to $1.36 per share.
In late February 2026, Vertiv launched its OneCore integrated modular solutions and a Digital Twin platform designed for high-density AI data centers, backed by a partnership with Hut 8. The company also raised $2.1 billion through bond offerings to fund expansion. Management targets 22% to 24% operating margins over the medium term.
The AI infrastructure build-out isn't slowing down, and Vertiv is one of the few companies that physically can't be replaced by software. The stock's metrics look good too, for a safe, long-term hold.
3. TransMedics Group
TransMedics Group (NASDAQ: TMDX) operates the Organ Care System (OCS), a technology that keeps donor organs warm and functioning during transport -- replacing the decades-old method of putting them on ice in a cooler. The company also runs its own aviation fleet for organ transport through its National OCS Program.​
Full-year 2025 revenue hit $605.5 million, up 37%. OCS Liver now accounts for 36% of all U.S. liver transplant procedures. The company performed 5,139 U.S. OCS transplants in 2025, up from 3,735 in 2024. It manages the logistics of this with its fleet of 22 aircraft.
Operating profit reached $21.3 million in Q4, representing 13.2% of revenue. Net income for the year was $190.3 million. TransMedics guided for 2026 revenue of $727 million to $757 million, representing 20% to 25% growth. The company holds FDA approvals for heart and lung trials and is expanding into Italy and other European markets.
This is a company building a monopoly in organ logistics -- a market with zero viable competitors and a moral imperative driving adoption.
4. Fair Isaac
Fair Isaac (NYSE: FICO) is the credit score company of all credit score companies. I hear its name in commercials, on the radio, and coming out of every salesman's mouth. The vast majority of mortgage, auto loan, and credit card decisions in America are made with the help of a FICO score. It has pricing power that borders on the obscene.
Fiscal year 2025 revenue was $1.99 billion, up 15.9%. Net income hit $651.9 million with a 32.8% net profit margin. Q4 revenue was $512 million with a 45.7% operating margin. Earnings per share (EPS) have grown at an average annual rate of 22.2% over the past decade.
The current catalyst is FICO Score 10T, a more predictive scoring model that incorporates trended credit data. I was a bit skeptical at first, but its adoption in the conforming mortgage market will drive incremental licensing revenue for years.
FICO also runs a growing software analytics business that expands its addressable market beyond credit scoring. The stock has pulled back around 25% year to date, creating a rare entry point for a near monopoly with expanding margins.
The company also announced a $1.5 billion stock buyback earlier this month. It's a strong buy with solid financials.

Something Doesn't Make Sense In The Market Right Now

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) on Thursday closed down -0.54%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DOWI) (DIA) closed up +0.03%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) closed down -1.16%. March E-mini S&P futures (ESH26) fell -0.56%, and March E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQH26) fell -1.22%.
Stock indexes settled mostly lower on Thursday, although the Dow Jones Industrials posted a 1-week high. The broader market was under pressure on Thursday as Nvidia’s earnings failed to alleviate concerns about an overheated AI economy, which weighed on chipmakers and AI-infrastructure stocks. Although Nvidia easily beat Q4 earnings estimates and forecast a Q1 outlook above expectations, the stock closed down more than -5% amid uncertainty over China, and it will continue to exclude data center revenue from China in its forecasts due to concerns about Chinese government approval.

Stocks recovered from their worst levels on Thursday amid signs of progress in US nuclear negotiations with Iran. The foreign minister of Oman, who is mediating the nuclear discussions between the US and Iran, said the US and Iran will continue nuclear talks at a technical level next week after making "significant progress" in Switzerland.
Also on the positive side, Salesforce rallied more than +4% to lead software stocks higher and keep the Dow Jones Industrials in positive territory after it gave a strong outlook for long-term sales and announced a large share buyback, calming fears about AI disruption in the software industry.
Stocks found support on Thursday from the smaller-than-expected increase in US weekly jobless claims, a sign of labor market strength. US weekly initial unemployment claims rose by +4,000 to 212,000, showing a stronger labor market than expectations of 216,000.
Upbeat comments on Thursday from Chicago Fed President Alan Goolsbee were supportive for stocks, as he said the US economy has been solid and the job market has been stable, and that interest rates can come down more this year if inflation does.
Geopolitical risks remain a negative for stocks. Tuesday evening, President Trump said Iranian officials are "again pursuing their sinister nuclear ambitions," boosting speculation that the US may be preparing a military strike on Iran in the coming days. Last Friday, President Trump said that he’s considering a limited military strike on Iran to ramp up pressure on the country to strike a deal over its nuclear program and gave them a March 1-6 deadline for an agreement over the country’s nuclear activities, and has threatened military strikes if it fails to comply.
In Tuesday night's State of the Union address, President Trump doubled down on his commitment to tariffs. President Trump’s new 10% global tariffs went into effect on Tuesday after the Supreme Court struck down his global “reciprocal” tariffs last Friday. Mr. Trump subsequently threatened to raise the global tariff rate to 15%, and an administration official said the White House is working on a formal order to implement that higher rate, but the timeline for its implementation has not been finalized. Mr. Trump is applying the 10% baseline levy under Section 122 of the 1974 Trade Act, which allows the president to impose the charge for 150 days without congressional approval.
The market’s focus this week will be on corporate earnings results and economic news. On Friday, the Feb MNI Chicago PMI is expected to slip -1.8 to 52.2.
Q4 earnings season is nearing its end, with more than 90% of the S&P 500 companies having reported earnings results. Earnings have been a positive factor for stocks, with 74% of the 472 S&P 500 companies that have reported beating expectations. According to Bloomberg Intelligence, S&P earnings growth is expected to climb by +8.4% in Q4, marking the tenth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth. Excluding the Magnificent Seven megacap technology stocks, Q4 earnings are expected to increase by +4.6%.
The markets are discounting a 3% chance for a -25 bp rate cut at the next policy meeting on March 17-18.
Overseas stock markets settled mixed on Thursday. The Euro Stoxx 50 fell from a new record high and closed down -0.19%. China’s Shanghai Composite closed down -0.01%. Japan’s Nikkei Stock 225 climbed to a new all-time high and closed up +0.29%.
Interest Rates
March 10-year T-notes (ZNH6) on Thursday closed up +8 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield fell -3.6 bp to 4.016%. Mar T-notes rallied to a 2.75-month high on Thursday, and the 10-year T-note yield fell to a 2.75-month low of 4.012%. Thursday’s stock market slump spurred safe-haven demand for T-notes. Also, comments from Chicago Fed President Alan Goolsbee were bullish for T-notes, as he said interest rates could come down further this year if inflation does.
Limiting gains in T-notes on Thursday were the smaller-than-expected increase in weekly US jobless claims, a hawkish factor for Fed policy. Also, mediocre demand for the Treasury’s $44 billion auction of 7-year T-notes was negative for T-note prices as the auction had a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.50, below the 10-auction average of 2.53.
European government bond yields moved lower on Thursday. The 10-year German bund yield dropped to a 2-75-month low of 2.683% and finished down -1.7 bp to 2.691%. The 10-year UK gilt yield tumbled to a 14.5-month low of 4.271% and finished down -4.3 bp to 4.274%.
The Eurozone Feb economic confidence indicator unexpectedly fell -1.0 to 98.3, weaker than expectations of an increase to 99.8.
Eurozone Jan M3 money supply rose +3.3% y/y, stronger than expectations of +2.9% y/y and the largest increase in 6 months.
Swaps are discounting a 3% chance of a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at its next policy meeting on March 19.
US Stock Movers
AI-infrastructure stocks and chipmakers retreated on Thursday after Nvidia’s earnings results failed to quell investor concerns about the disruptive risk of artificial intelligence. Nvidia (NVDA) closed down more than -5% to lead losers in the Nasdaq 100 and Dow Jones Industrials despite reporting Q4 data center revenue of $62.3 billion, stronger than the consensus of $60.36 billion, as the results failed to quell investor concerns surrounding demand durability. Also, Applied Materials (AMAT), Lam Research (LRCX), and ASML Holding NV (ASML) closed down more than -4%, and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Broadcom (AVGO), Micron Technology (MU), Western Digital (WDC), and Seagate Technology Holdings (STX) closed down more than -3%. In addition, Intel(INTC) and Marvell Technology (MRVL) closed down more than -2%.
Software stocks moved higher on Thursday, a supportive factor for the broader market. Atlassian (TEAM) closed up more than +8%, and Datadog (DDOG) closed up more than +5%. Also, CrowdStrike (CRWD) and ServiceNow (NOW) closed up more than +4%, and Salesforce (CRM) closed up more than +4% to lead gainers in the Dow Jones Industrials after reporting Q4 revenue of $11.20 billion, above the consensus of $11.17 billion, and forecasting Q1 revenue of $11.03 billion to $11.08 billion, stronger than the consensus of $10.99 billion. In addition, Autodesk (ADSK) and Intuit (INTU) closed up more than +3%.
PROCEPT BioRobotics (PRCT) closed down more than -15% after forecasting full-year revenue of $300 million to $410 million, weaker than the consensus of $422.1 million.
Chemed Corp (CHE) closed down more than -14% after reporting Q4 adjusted EPS of $6.42, well below the consensus of $7.03.
Universal Health Services (UHS) closed down more than -11% to lead losers in the S&P 500 after reporting Q4 net revenue of $4.49 billion, weaker than the consensus of $4.51 billion.
Donaldson (DCI) closed down more than -11% after reporting Q2 adjusted EPS of 83 cents, below the consensus of 89 cents, and cutting its full-year adjusted EPS to $3.93-$4.01 from a previous forecast of $3.95-$4.11, weaker than the consensus of $4.05.
Pure Storage (PSTG) closed down more than -10% after the company gave an outlook that TD Cowen said points to decelerating growth.
Synopsys (SNPS) closed down more than -5% after forecasting full-year free cash flow of $1.90 billion, below the consensus of $1.94 billion.
Trade Desk (TTD) closed down more than -4% after forecasting Q1 revenue of $678 million, below the consensus of $688.8 million.
Chime Financial (CHYM) closed up more than +13% after reporting Q4 revenue of $596.4 million, stronger than the consensus of $578.3 million, and forecasting full-year revenue of $2.63 billion to $2.67 billion, better than the consensus of $2.60 billion.
Paramount Skydance (PSKY) closed up more than +10% to lead gainers in the S&P 500 after reporting Q4 revenue of $8.15 billion, above the consensus of $8.12 billion.
J M Smucker (SJM) closed up more than +8% after it said two new directors will be joining the board as part of an agreement reached with activist investor Elliot Investment Management.
TKO Group Holdings (TKO) closed up more than +8% after forecasting 2026 adjusted Ebitda of $2.24 to $2.29, the midpoint above the consensus of $2.25.
Celsius Holdings (CELH) closed up more than +7% after reporting Q4 sales of $721.6 million, well above the consensus of $639 million.
Fair Isaac Corp (FICO) closed up more than +6% after announcing a new $1.5 billion stock buyback program.
Janus Henderson Group Plc (JHG) closed up more than +6% after Victory Capital offered to buy the company for $57.04 a share.

March 10-year T-notes (ZNH6) today are up +6 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield is down -2.9 bp to 4.023%. Mar T-notes climbed to a 2.75-month high today, and the 10-year T-note yield fell to a 2.75-month low of 4.012%. Today’s stock market slump has spurred safe-haven demand for T-notes. However, gains in T-notes are limited after weekly US jobless claims rose less than expected, a hawkish factor for Fed policy. Also, supply pressures are undercutting T-notes as the Treasury will auction $44 billion of 7-year T-notes later today.
European government bond yields are moving lower today. The 10-year German bund yield dropped to a 2-75-month low of 2.683% and is down -1.1 bp to 2.696%. The 10-year UK gilt yield tumbled to a 14.5-month low of 4.271% and is down -3.2 bp to 4.285%.
The Eurozone Feb economic confidence indicator unexpectedly fell -1.0 to 98.3, weaker than expectations of an increase to 99.8.
Eurozone Jan M3 money supply rose +3.3% y/y, stronger than expectations of +2.9% y/y and the largest increase in 6 months.
Swaps are discounting a 2% chance of a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at its next policy meeting on March 19.
US Stock Movers
AI-infrastructure stocks and chipmakers are sliding today after Nvidia’s results failed to quell investor concerns about the disruptive risk of artificial intelligence. Broadcom (AVGO) is down more than -6% to lead losers in the Nasdaq 100, and Applied Materials (AMAT), Lam Research (LRCX), Western Digital (WDC), and Seagate Technology Holdings (STX) are down more than -5%. Also, Nvidia (NVDA) is down more than -4% to lead losers in the Dow Jones Industrials despite reporting Q4 data center revenue of $62.3 billion, stronger than the consensus of $60.36 billion, as the results failed to quell investor concerns surrounding demand durability. In addition, ASML Holding NV (ASML) and Micron Technology are down more than -4%, and Intel (INTC) and Marvell Technology (MRVL) are down more than -3%.
Software stocks are climbing today, a supportive factor for the broader market. Atlassian (TEAM) is up more than +10%, and Intuit (INTU), CrowdStrike (CRWD), and Datadog (DDOG) are up more than +5%. Also, ServiceNow (NOW) is up more than +4%, and Salesforce (CRM) is up more than +3% after reporting Q4 revenue of $11.20 billion, above the consensus of $11.17 billion, and forecasting Q1 revenue of $11.03 billion to $11.08 billion, stronger than the consensus of $10.99 billion. In addition, Autodesk (ADSK) is up more than +3%, and Adobe Systems (ADBE) is up more than +1%.
PROCEPT BioRobotics (PRCT) is down more than -22% after forecasting full-year revenue of $300 million to $410 million, weaker than the consensus of $422.1 million.
Chemed Corp (CHE) is down more than -16% after reporting Q4 adjusted EPS of $6.42, well below the consensus of $7.03.
Donaldson (DCI) is down more than -13% after reporting Q2 adjusted EPS of 83 cents, below the consensus of 89 cents, and cutting its full-year adjusted EPS to $3.93-$4.01 from a previous forecast of $3.95-$4.11, weaker than the consensus of $4.05.
Pure Storage (PSTG) is down more than -13% after the company gave an outlook that TD Cowen said points to decelerating growth.
Universal Health Services (UHS) is down more than -9% to lead losers in the S&P 500 after reporting Q4 net revenue of $4.49 billion, weaker than the consensus of $4.51 billion.
Trade Desk (TTD) is down more than -3% after forecasting Q1 revenue of $678 million, below the consensus of $688.8 million.
Synopsys (SNPS) is down more than -3% after forecasting full-year free cash flow of $1.90 billion, below the consensus of $1.94 billion.
Chime Financial (CHYM) is up more than +12% after reporting Q4 revenue of $596.4 million, stronger than the consensus of $578.3 million, and forecasting full-year revenue of $2.63 billion to $2.67 billion, better than the consensus of $2.60 billion.
Paramount Skydance (PSKY) is up more than +10% to lead gainers in the S&P 500 after reporting Q4 revenue of $8.15 billion, above the consensus of $8.12 billion.
Celsius Holdings (CELH) is up more than +10% after reporting Q4 sales of $721.6 million, well above the consensus of $639 million.
Fair Isaac Corp (FICO) is up more than +8% after announcing a new $1.5 billion stock buyback program.
J M Smucker (SJM) is up more than +6% after it said two new directors will be joining the board as part of an agreement reached with activist investor Elliot Investment Management.
Janus Henderson Group Plc (JHG) is up more than +5% after Victory Capital offered to buy the company for $57.04 a share.
