Roblox Corporation RBLX sustained strong monetization momentum even as safety-related changes pressured new-user acquisition. In the first quarter of 2026, monthly unique payers increased 52% year over year to 31 million, well ahead of daily active user growth. Revenue rose 39% year over year to $1.4 billion, while bookings increased 43% to $1.7 billion.
Engagement also remained strong across the platform. Daily active users grew 35% year over year to 132 million, while hours engaged increased 43% to 31 billion. International markets remained a key growth driver, with DAUs outside the United States and Canada rising 40% and hours engaged increasing 50%. Japan and India also recorded strong user and engagement growth.
Older users represent an important monetization opportunity for Roblox. In the United States, users aged 18 and above monetized at a rate more than 50% higher than users under 18. To encourage more content for this audience, Roblox raised the DevEx rate for spending generated by age-checked adult users in the United States from 26.6% to 37.8%, effective June 8, 2026.
However, the global rollout of age checks has created short-term friction. Reduced communication activity and weaker organic sign-ups through app stores have pressured new-user acquisition. Roblox consequently lowered its full-year 2026 bookings-growth outlook to 8-12% from its prior expectation of 22-26%.
To address these pressures, Roblox plans to increase age-check adoption, improve communication features and refine discovery algorithms around long-term engagement. These efforts, along with stronger incentives for adult-focused content, could help support user growth and sustain monetization momentum over time.
RBLX’s Stock Price Performance, Valuation & Estimates
Roblox’s shares have declined 2.2% in the past three months against the industry’s 5.8% growth. In the same time frame, other industry players like DraftKings Inc. DKNG and Monarch Casino & Resort, Inc. MCRI have gained 16.8% and 28.5%, respectively.

DraftKings Stock Analysis: Buy or Sell?

The recommendations of Wall Street analysts are often relied on by investors when deciding whether to buy, sell, or hold a stock. Media reports about these brokerage-firm-employed (or sell-side) analysts changing their ratings often affect a stock's price. Do they really matter, though?
Before we discuss the reliability of brokerage recommendations and how to use them to your advantage, let's see what these Wall Street heavyweights think about DraftKings (DKNG).
DraftKings currently has an average brokerage recommendation (ABR) of 1.24, on a scale of 1 to 5 (Strong Buy to Strong Sell), calculated based on the actual recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell, etc.) made by 31 brokerage firms. An ABR of 1.24 approximates between Strong Buy and Buy.
Of the 31 recommendations that derive the current ABR, 26 are Strong Buy and two are Buy. Strong Buy and Buy respectively account for 83.9% and 6.5% of all recommendations.

While the ABR calls for buying DraftKings, it may not be wise to make an investment decision solely based on this information. Several studies have shown limited to no success of brokerage recommendations in guiding investors to pick stocks with the best price increase potential.
Are you wondering why? The vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover often results in a strong positive bias of their analysts in rating it. Our research shows that for every "Strong Sell" recommendation, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations.

In spite of the fact that Zacks Rank and ABR both appear on a scale from 1 to 5, they are two completely different measures.
The ABR is calculated solely based on brokerage recommendations and is typically displayed with decimals (example: 1.28). In contrast, the Zacks Rank is a quantitative model allowing investors to harness the power of earnings estimate revisions. It is displayed in whole numbers -- 1 to 5.
Analysts employed by brokerage firms have been and continue to be overly optimistic with their recommendations. Since the ratings issued by these analysts are more favorable than their research would support because of the vested interest of their employers, they mislead investors far more often than they guide.
In contrast, the Zacks Rank is driven by earnings estimate revisions. And near-term stock price movements are strongly correlated with trends in earnings estimate revisions, according to empirical research.
In addition, the different Zacks Rank grades are applied proportionately to all stocks for which brokerage analysts provide current-year earnings estimates. In other words, this tool always maintains a balance among its five ranks.
There is also a key difference between the ABR and Zacks Rank when it comes to freshness. When you look at the ABR, it may not be up-to-date. Nonetheless, since brokerage analysts constantly revise their earnings estimates to reflect changing business trends, and their actions get reflected in the Zacks Rank quickly enough, it is always timely in predicting future stock prices.
Is DKNG Worth Investing In?
Looking at the earnings estimate revisions for DraftKings, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has declined 0.6% over the past month to -$0.83.
Analysts' growing pessimism over the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates lower, could be a legitimate reason for the stock to plunge in the near term.

Is It Worth Investing in DraftKings (DKNG) Based on Wall Street's Bullish Views?

Football's (not the American variety) biggest tournament, starts on June 11. Combine the magnitude of the event with the expanded field of 48 teams and North America being the host, and it's reasonable that some investors are scoping out sports betting stocks.
Predictably, that search will lead many market participants to DraftKings (NASDAQ: DKNG) and Flutter Entertainment (NYSE: FLUT), the owner of FanDuel, but caution is warranted here. Some experts estimate the U.S. betting handle, which is the total amount wagered on an event in dollar terms, on the soccer competition will be $3.1 billion. The number could rise depending on the U.S. team's success.

However, global handle could reach $50 billion, or approximately $500 million per match, underscoring why investors may want to examine sports wagering equities with significant exposure beyond U.S. borders. Enter Rush Street Interactive (NYSE: RSI) and Super Group (NYSE: SGHC).
Why this duo can score World Cup goals
Yes, soccer is more popular today in the U.S. than it was when the country hosted the event in 1994. And yes, regulated sports betting is far more prevalent. Some form of sports betting is live and legal in 40 states, including Washington, D.C.
But when it comes to investing specific to this major event, Rush Street Interactive and Super Group may be better bets, pun intended. The thesis is simple. Both of these consumer discretionary stocks are less U.S.-dependent than, say, DraftKings.
Specific to Super Group, that company doesn't do any business in the U.S. It only books bets in Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Breaking it down, 88% of Super Group's 2025 revenue was derived from countries participating in the tournament.
Speaking of Latin America, the region accounts for 20% of Rush Street's revenue as it does business in Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. Peru didn't qualify for the competition, but the other two countries did. The company's Mexico footprint could be intriguing to investors, as Mexico is one of the tournament's host nations with 13 games slated for three major cities.
Mexico is already one of the most soccer-enthused countries in the world. Combine that with its host status and short odds, and it will advance out of group play, possibly driving surging handle, potentially providing a near-term boost for Rush Street Interactive.
The hidden benefit
Investors well versed in entertainment stocks know that, for sports betting equities, high-profile events are customer-acquisition tools. Market participants can even forgive customer-friendly outcomes if operators can substantiate that they hauled in large batches of new customers and are cross-selling them into other services.
That's pertinent in discussing Rush Street and Super Group because both are internet casino, or iGaming, operators, too. In Africa, where it's a leader in seven of the eight markets where it books bets, Super Group leverages public-facing sports sponsorships to bring customers into the sports wagering and iGaming fold.
Some analysts see the most prestigious soccer event performing a similar function, expanding customer bases for Rush Street and Super Group while setting the stage to convert those bettors to more profitable (for the companies) online casino products.

DraftKings continues to see solid revenue growth, albeit at a slower pace.
The company is looking to embrace the predictions market and create a super-app to reinvigorate growth.
DraftKings (NASDAQ: DKNG) is another former highflier that has been pushed into the presumed loser's basket by investors. Instead of artificial intelligence (AI) being the culprit, though, the online sports betting stock is a victim of the rise of prediction markets. The stock has now lost more than a third of its value over the past year.
Instead of just sitting still, however, the company is trying to leverage the predictions market to its benefit. It's doing this in two main ways. The first is that it is introducing its own predictions market. It will invest between $200 million and $300 million in product technology and marketing.

It will look to leverage its existing sportsbook and create a super-app that combines its sportsbook, online gaming, lottery, and prediction market into one offering. The app will only show what products are legal in a user's current state. It is looking to make a big push ahead of the upcoming soccer World Cup.
The predictions market push is already seeing some early results. In April, after the quarter closed, annualized consumer volumes jumped 38% month over month to over $1 billion, and annualized total volumes climbed 43% month over month to more than $2.3 billion.
At the same time, the company is looking to convince additional states to legalize sports betting and iGaming in the face of prediction markets, which don't pay taxes to the states. It also didn't see any states increase taxes on legal online sports betting operators this year due to prediction markets.
Despite the headwind from the predictions market, DraftKings is still seeing solid growth. For the first quarter, the company saw its revenue climb 17% to $1.65 billion. Its sportsbook revenue jumped 24% to $1.1 billion. Sportsbook handle (the amount wagered) increased by 1.5%, while parlay handle mix jumped 300 basis points year over year. Parlays have a higher hold percentage (win margin), so they help drive growth. iGaming revenue, meanwhile, rose 9% to $461.3 million.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) surged in the quarter, up 64% to $167.9 million. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) climbed from $0.12 to $0.20.
The company maintained its guidance for 2026 revenue to be between $6.5 billion and $6.9 billion and adjusted EBITDA to be between $700 million and $900 million. That equates to 14% revenue growth at the high end of guidance and 45% EBITDA growth.
Is the stock a buy?
While DraftKings' growth has been pressured by the predictions market, it is embracing the concept and looking to become a major player. Given that it only currently reaches just over half the U.S. population with its sportsbook, this could be a nice opportunity. Meanwhile, there is bipartisan legislation to make sports-related prediction "bets" illegal, which, if passed, would be a huge boost to the stock.
The stock currently trades at a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of just 14 times the 2027 analyst consensus, so it's relatively inexpensive. I think it's worth placing a small wager on the stock down at these levels, as investors can win one of two ways. Its super-app and predictions business can help propel growth, or it could get a big regulatory win at some point.
