With these additions, Xfinity Internet customers can enjoy over 200 live streaming channels, with over 45 Spanish-language channels for every member of the family.
The company added that customers can avail NOW TV Latino for just $10/month till November 11. After that, the price will increase to $15/month to reflect the expanded content and value.
Additionally, customers can get ViX Premium with Ads at $5.99/month value, and Peacock Premium at $10.99/month value included at no extra cost.
Currently, Comcast's stock is trading at $29.49, up 0.70 percent on the Nasdaq.

Is Disney's Theme Park Push Laying the Foundation for Future Growth?

Netflix decided not to pursue its plans to build a smart-TV operating system, allowing Roku to pursue those plans independently.
Roku needs to attract more advertising demand, and there's hope it can do just that.
Netflix is the heavyweight champion of streaming services. While less than 20 years ago streaming didn't really exist yet, the company had the foresight to know that streaming would be the next big thing. And that's why it worked on The Netflix Player -- a hardware device that could turn any TV into a streaming device.
Just before launch, Netflix -- based in Los Gatos, California -- decided not to pursue the project, and instead spun it out. The head of the project, Anthony Wood, took his team and set up just down the street in San Jose. And the new company was renamed Roku (NASDAQ: ROKU).

Roku isn't Wood's first rodeo; indeed, Roku means "six" in Japanese, highlighting that he had started five companies before with varying degrees of success. But nearly 20 years into its journey, I believe it's safe to call this venture his most successful.
Since going public in 2017, Roku's trailing-12-month revenue has increased by nearly 1,300%, pushing it past $4 billion annually. But do this rapid growth and scale make Roku stock a no-brainer buy? I don't think so. Here's why.
Roku needs more than growth
To be clear, the adoption metrics for Roku are impressive. According to Nielsen data, people watched more TV content on Roku's platform in May, June, and July than on broadcast TV (July's is the most up-to-date data there is). Over 125 million people use Roku's platform daily, and this equated to over 35 billion hours of video content being streamed in the second quarter of 2025. In short, adoption is stellar.
Things get dicier once we move past the top line. Roku generates revenue in two ways: from its hardware devices and from its operating platform. Its platform revenue is largely from digital advertising. And since the platform segment provided 88% of total second-quarter revenue, I'll focus on that.
In Q2, Roku's platform gross margin was 51%. That's its second-lowest quarterly figure ever (only the third quarter of 2023 was lower). For perspective, the company's gross margin for its platform revenue was well north of 70% when it went public; that's an immense drop-off.
At Roku's scale, annual gross profit from its platform revenue would be hundreds of millions of dollars higher right now if it had simply maintained the margin profile that it had when it went public. And for what it's worth, Roku's market valuation is only $14.5 billion, meaning that level of gross-profit improvement would make a huge difference in the stock price.
There's more that could be said here. But suffice it to say, Roku needs profitable growth for shareholders to enjoy better returns. And the long-term trend has been discouraging.
What if Roku gets it right?
Pinning the problem on a single issue is unwise -- the issues are likely multifaceted. But in the advertising technology (adtech) space, it's important to deliver measurable returns on advertising spending. If advertisers can use an adtech platform, spend money, and measure a profitable return on investment, that advertising platform should generally expect strong demand. And strong demand allows the platform to charge higher prices, boosting profits.
It would seem that Roku's platform isn't in high demand, at least not as high as one would expect at this point. Unless this gets fixed, it may be tough for this stock to outperform the S&P 500. That's why I wouldn't call an investment in this California company a no-brainer.
However, there may yet be hope for this business. As mentioned, Roku still has an engaged audience, and that's important. Moreover, the company is making deals with top advertising platforms, such as its recent partnership with FreeWheel from Comcast's NBCUniversal. It also partnered with Amazon's demand-side platform in June. Those are two of the biggest fish in the pond.
If Roku could deliver measurable advertising wins for its customers, demand would likely take care of itself. Increased competition for its ad slots would drive up prices. And profits would skyrocket if the company could simply make more money from the business it already has.
In short, Roku has all of the pieces to the puzzle. It just needs to put them together.
This is why I continue to hold my shares of Roku: The adoption trends tell me that the company can thrive in spite of competition. And if it finally starts fixing its platform gross-margin problem with increased advertising demand, then Roku's profits -- and by extension its stock price -- could take off.
It's not a no-brainer buy by any means. But Roku stock isn't yet a lost cause.

Is This California-Based Company a No-Brainer Buy?

Investors in Comcast Corp (Symbol: CMCSA) saw new options become available this week, for the December 19th expiration. At Stock Options Channel, our YieldBoost formula has looked up and down the CMCSA options chain for the new December 19th contracts and identified one put and one call contract of particular interest.
The put contract at the $27.50 strike price has a current bid of 84 cents. If an investor was to sell-to-open that put contract, they are committing to purchase the stock at $27.50, but will also collect the premium, putting the cost basis of the shares at $26.66 (before broker commissions). To an investor already interested in purchasing shares of CMCSA, that could represent an attractive alternative to paying $29.27/share today.
Because the $27.50 strike represents an approximate 6% discount to the current trading price of the stock (in other words it is out-of-the-money by that percentage), there is also the possibility that the put contract would expire worthless. The current analytical data (including greeks and implied greeks) suggest the current odds of that happening are 69%. Turning to the calls side of the option chain, the call contract at the $30.00 strike price has a current bid of $1.39. If an investor was to purchase shares of CMCSA stock at the current price level of $29.27/share, and then sell-to-open that call contract as a "covered call," they are committing to sell the stock at $30.00. Considering the call seller will also collect the premium, that would drive a total return (excluding dividends, if any) of 7.24% if the stock gets called away at the December 19th expiration (before broker commissions). Of course, a lot of upside could potentially be left on the table if CMCSA shares really soar, which is why looking at the trailing twelve month trading history for Comcast Corp, as well as studying the business fundamentals becomes important. Considering the fact that the $30.00 strike represents an approximate 2% premium to the current trading price of the stock (in other words it is out-of-the-money by that percentage), there is also the possibility that the covered call contract would expire worthless, in which case the investor would keep both their shares of stock and the premium collected. The current analytical data (including greeks and implied greeks) suggest the current odds of that happening are 54%. First Week of CMCSA December 19th Options Trading

Comcast (CMCSA) closed the most recent trading day at $29.26, moving -1.55% from the previous trading session. The stock fell short of the S&P 500, which registered a loss of 0.63% for the day. Meanwhile, the Dow lost 0.65%, and the Nasdaq, a tech-heavy index, lost 0.47%.
Shares of the cable provider have depreciated by 8.36% over the course of the past month, underperforming the Consumer Discretionary sector's loss of 3.5%, and the S&P 500's gain of 0.92%.
The investment community will be closely monitoring the performance of Comcast in its forthcoming earnings report. The company is scheduled to release its earnings on October 30, 2025. On that day, Comcast is projected to report earnings of $1.1 per share, which would represent a year-over-year decline of 1.79%. Meanwhile, our latest consensus estimate is calling for revenue of $30.63 billion, down 4.49% from the prior-year quarter.
CMCSA's full-year Zacks Consensus Estimates are calling for earnings of $4.28 per share and revenue of $123.01 billion. These results would represent year-over-year changes of -1.15% and -0.58%, respectively.

Comcast (CMCSA) Declines More Than Market: Some Information for Investors

(RTTNews) - Media and technology company Comcast Corp. (CMCSA, CMCSK) Tuesday announced that its tech unit Comcast Technology Solutions has entered into a strategic partnership with Germany's Deutsche Telekom AG (DTE.DE) to launch whole-home WiFi Mesh technology in Europe.
Under the deal, Comcast's cloud-based WiFi Mesh Platform will be joined with DT's European market strength, to provide seamless, intelligent connectivity across the home.
The collaboration would deliver WiFi optimization with band steering and reliable coverage across devices, cloud-hosted analytics and controls delivered via continuous data streams, and streamlined integration into Deutsche Telekom's customer-facing systems.
Additionally, Deutsche Telekom would gain access to Comcast's technology roadmap for continuous innovative enhancements.
Fraser Stirling, Global Chief Product Officer at Comcast and Sky added, "Together, we're enabling a next-generation broadband experience that is scalable, reliable and intelligent."
On the overnight trading, CMCSA's shares traded at 0.10 percent or 0.03 cents higher at $29.38. On Monday, the stock had closed at 0.17 percent or 0.05 cents up, at $29.41 on the Nasdaq.
On XETRA in Germany, DTE.DE's shares closed Monday's regular trading at 29.44 Euros, down 0.67 percent.

Here's Why Comcast (CMCSA) Fell More Than Broader Market

Disney’s DIS latest push into sports streaming puts ESPN’s digital transformation at the center of its Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) strategy. The launch of the standalone ESPN DTC service on Aug. 21, 2025, marks a major milestone in repositioning ESPN as a fully digital sports powerhouse. Designed with AI-driven personalization, multiview, live stats, fantasy integration and commerce features, the new app is tailored for streaming-native audiences and is expected to deepen engagement while expanding monetization opportunities.
Disney’s strategy accelerated in late 2025 with two major moves, such as securing exclusive U.S. streaming rights for all WWE Premium Live Events and finalizing a landmark agreement with the NFL. Under the deal, ESPN will acquire NFL Network and related media assets, while the NFL gains a 10% equity stake in ESPN. The partnership also grants ESPN expanded highlight rights, betting integration and the ability to bundle NFL+ Premium with its DTC platform, enhancing both content depth and Average Revenue Per Paid Subscriber (ARPU).
The enhanced ESPN app will offer fans a more immersive experience, integrating fantasy sports, live betting and personalized sports centers. Subscribers to the Disney+, Hulu and ESPN bundle will also be able to stream ESPN content directly on Disney+, reinforcing Disney’s broader effort to make live sports the backbone of its streaming ecosystem.
According to the Zacks model, Disney’s DTC revenues are expected to grow 7% in fiscal 2025 and 8% in fiscal 2026, supported by ARPU gains, premium sports packages and bundled offerings. ESPN’s streaming growth could become the foundation of Disney’s long-term DTC profitability.
Disney’s Streaming Rivals Challenge ESPN’s Edge
FuboTV FUBO has positioned itself as a sports-first streaming leader, leveraging its niche focus to rival Disney in live sports streaming. Through antitrust wins against rivals like the Venu venture, FuboTV strengthened its competitive standing. However, despite its innovation, FuboTV faces scale and content-rights challenges against Disney’s dominant sports media portfolio.
Comcast Corporation CMCSA challenges Disney’s dominance in sports streaming through NBCUniversal’s Peacock, which now boasts marquee rights to the NFL, Olympics, FIFA World Cup and NBA (2025-26). CMCSA’s vast broadband and cable network amplifies Peacock’s reach and monetization potential. With 41 million paid subscribers and 18% revenue growth in the second quarter of 2025, CMCSA is translating its traditional media dominance into streaming strength, though maintaining the balance of legacy cable revenues still limits the pace of its full digital transformation.
