Booking Holdings Inc., together with its subsidiaries, provides online and traditional travel and restaurant reservations and related services in the United States, the Netherlands, and internationally. The company operates Booking.com, which offers online accommodation reservations; and Priceline, which provides online travel reservation services, as well as consumers hotel, flight, activity, rental car reservation, vacation packages, cruises, and hotel distribution services. It also operates Agoda that offers online accommodation reservation, flight, ground transportation, and activities reservation services. In addition, the company operates KAYAK, an online meta-search service that allows consumers to search and compare travel itineraries and prices; OpenTable for booking online restaurant reservations, as well as reservation management services to restaurants; and Rentalcars.com. Further, it offers travel-related insurance products and restaurant management services to consumers, travel service providers, and restaurants; and advertising services. The company was formerly known as The Priceline Group Inc. and changed its name to Booking Holdings Inc. in February 2018. Booking Holdings Inc. was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut.

Booking Holdings appears to be a very profitable but already mature and not particularly cheap business: the operating margin of 32.9% and net margin of 25.5% are noticeably above industry benchmarks, while ROA of 25.0% and ROI of 78.8% confirm highly efficient use of assets and capital. At the same time, the P/S ratio of 4.33 is significantly above the industry median, which limits re-rating potential and calls for caution in valuation. The P/E ratio of 16.99 is around the industry median, meaning the market already largely recognizes the quality of earnings. P/FCF of 12.58 also looks more fair than cheap, so the strong fundamentals are already partly reflected in the price. The company’s balance sheet is mixed: the cash position is very strong, with cash on hand of $17.2 billion, but short-term liquidity is weak, with a current ratio of only 1.09 and a quick ratio that is effectively zero, indicating dependence on working capital structure. Long-term debt of $18.2 billion and total liabilities of $40.5 billion remain significant, and negative equity makes the price/book ratio largely uninformative and increases caution regarding balance sheet valuation. Earnings and operating income trends are generally positive: net income is $1.95 billion, operating income is $2.5 billion, and EBITDA is $2.63 billion, while profitability remains high and stable year over year. Revenue at $7.35 billion looks resilient, but the historical series shows fluctuations, so the growth rate cannot be considered linear or risk-free. The dividend yield of 0.24% is very low, meaning the investment case is built almost entirely on growth and business quality rather than cash returns to shareholders. Overall, the fundamentals support the company as a high-quality industry leader, but the high valuation relative to revenue and the presence of balance sheet risks do not allow for an aggressive increase in the target price. For an investor, this is more a story of stable operating efficiency and strong cash flow than of obvious undervaluation.

Booking Holdings Stock: A Travel Stock to Buy Right Now?

Snowflake SNOW) shares surged 16% in Thursday’s trading session after the cloud-data leader crushed its Q2 expectations yesterday evening and raised its full-year outlook.
More importantly, Snowflake’s growth is accelerating as artificial intelligence drives greater usage of its AI Data Cloud platform, giving investors plenty to like despite the stock’s increasingly lofty valuation.

Snowflake Crushes Q2 Expectations
Snowflake posted Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.62, handily topping expectations of $0.45 and rising from $0.35 per share in the prior year quarter. Revenue rose 35% year over year to $1.54 billion, also surpassing estimates of $1.47 billion.
Even more encouraging was product revenue, which climbed 37% to $1.49 billion, marking Snowflake’s third consecutive quarter of accelerating product-revenue growth.
Remaining performance obligations (RPO), representing contracted future revenue, increased 30% YoY to $9 billion, while the number of customers generating more than $1 million in trailing-12-month product revenue jumped 27% to 828.
Notably, Snowflake has surpassed top-line estimates in every quarter since it went public in 2020 and has exceeded earnings expectations for nine consecutive quarters, with an average EPS surprise of 22.77% in its last four quarterly reports.
AI Momentum & Raised Guidance
AI is becoming a meaningful growth catalyst rather than simply a long-term opportunity, with management indicating that AI products accounted for roughly half of Snowflake’s recent growth acceleration.
Adoption of its AI coding agent CoCo surpassed 9,100 accounts after adding more than 2,000 during Q2, while CoWork, Snowflake’s agentic workplace offering, reached 5,800 accounts. The company also added 692 net new customers during the quarter.
Reflecting this momentum, Snowflake raised its full-year product-revenue forecast to $6.07 billion, or 36% growth, from $5.84 billion and 31% growth previously.
For Q3, product revenue is projected between $1.588 billion and $1.593 billion, representing another impressive 37%-38% increase. Snowflake also lifted its full-year non-GAAP operating-margin outlook to 14.5% from 13.5%, showing improving profitability alongside accelerating growth.
It's noteworthy that Snowflake's growing enterprise footprint is supported by strategic partnerships with Amazon AMZN), Microsoft MSFT), Alphabet GOOGL), and Nvidia NVDA), helping enterprises deploy increasingly sophisticated data and AI workloads across its platform.
Prominent customers have included Capital One COF), Thomson Reuters TRI), Booking Holdings' BKNG) Booking.com, and DraftKings DKNG).
Snowflake's Premium Valuation
The biggest reason investors may be hesitant to chase today's rally is valuation.
Even before the Q2 post-earnings surge, SNOW was trading at more than 15X forward sales with a forward P/E multiple above 150X.
Those marks are significantly above its Zacks Internet-Software industry averages of around 4X forward sales and 20X forward earnings, respectively.
Today's 16% jump only expands that premium on a static-estimate basis, although higher revenue and EPS projections following the strong report should help offset some of the valuation expansion.

Bottom Line
Snowflake’s Q2 results appear strong enough to justify investors' enthusiasm. Accelerating product-revenue growth, rapidly increasing AI adoption, a $9 billion backlog, and raised growth and profitability guidance suggest the company’s fundamental story is getting stronger.
While SNOW's premium valuation could make additional near-term upside more difficult following today's sharp rally, investors with a longer-term horizon may still have reason to remain bullish, especially if AI keeps driving faster platform consumption.
Supporting that outlook, Snowflake stock currently sports a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), as upward earnings estimate revisions following such an impressive beat-and-raise quarter could further strengthen its investment case.

Better still, Booking Holdings' total yield, which factors in share buybacks, was recently a hefty 7.85%, suggesting plenty of shareholder rewards beyond that 0.84%.
If you're looking for, say, $1,000 in annual income from a position in Booking Holdings, how many shares would you need to buy? A little simple math will tell you: Divide $1,000 by the current annual dividend of $1.68, and you get 595 shares. At a recent stock price of $195, that would cost you about $116,000.
But should you invest in Booking Holdings? There are some solid reasons to. Foolish Take
These are completely different businesses operating at different scales. Still, the market is awarding a much higher price-to-earnings ratio for Axon Enterprise due to its industry leadership in supplying must-have technology for law enforcement. On the other hand, Booking trades at a lower valuation due to slower growth and a more competitive travel reservation market.
Much of Axon's past revenue has come from selling hardware (e.g., TASER), but its software services are expanding rapidly. As cloud-based software services become a greater contributor to the top line, margins could expand.
Booking could see much higher revenue as it expands its platform to include flights, car rentals, and other travel-related services. But it's unclear whether these add-on services will accelerate its revenue growth rate or merely extend its current trend.
Investors should watch whether Booking can continue delivering stronger growth as it executes its "Connected Trip" strategy, or whether Axon can maintain high revenue growth and gradually narrow the gap with the travel reservation leader.

The economic seas may be choppy at the moment, but that shouldn't stop investors from considering the travel giant Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG) for their portfolios. The company has made a strong case for itself through durability and capital discipline over the past few years.
Booking is facing headwinds, particularly as travel is affected by geopolitical challenges, rising competition, and inflationary pressures. Yet, there are plenty of reasons for optimism. Booking's second-quarter earnings were largely positive; the company beat estimates on revenue and reported a 15% increase in adjusted earnings per share year over year.

The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margin rose to 36% despite turbulence in travel due to the conflict in the Middle East. Booking showed investors that it is a resilient business capable of continued growth through genuinely tough times.
Booking also had $3.6 billion in free cash flow in this latest quarter. The company has been continuously buying back shares, and management raised its cost-savings target. Booking Holdings is demonstrating to investors that it is an efficiently run business.
As far as the stock's valuation is concerned, Booking isn't inexpensive, but it is fairly priced. Both of the trailing and forward P/E ratios sit in the low 20s, while Booking's PEG ratio is slightly below 1. These indicate that its valuation is quite reasonable.
Booking's stock is relatively flat this year and has a dividend yield of approximately 0.8%. The dividend itself isn't anything to write home about, but the $0.42 quarterly cash payout has increased consistently over the past few years. Booking Holdings has built an operationally strong business that long-term investors shouldn't ignore.
