Alibaba Group Holding Limited, through its subsidiaries, provides technology infrastructure and marketing reach to help merchants, brands, retailers, and other businesses to engage with their users and customers in the People's Republic of China and internationally. The company operates through seven segments: China Commerce, International Commerce, Local Consumer Services, Cainiao, Cloud, Digital Media and Entertainment, and Innovation Initiatives and Others. It operates Taobao and Tmall, which are digital retail platforms; Alimama, a proprietary monetization platform; 1688.com and Alibaba.com, which are online wholesale marketplaces; AliExpress, a retail marketplace; Lazada, Trendyol, and Daraz that are e-commerce platforms; Freshippo, a retail platform for groceries and fresh goods; and Tmall Global, an import e-commerce platform. The company also operates Cainiao Network logistic services platform; Ele.me, an on-demand delivery and local services platform; Koubei, a restaurant and local services guide platform; and Fliggy, an online travel platform. In addition, it offers pay-for-performance, in-feed, and display marketing services; and Taobao Ad Network and Exchange, a real-time online bidding marketing exchange. Further, the company provides elastic computing, storage, network, security, database, big data, and IoT services; and hardware, software license, software installation, and application development and maintenance services. Additionally, it operates Youku, an online video platform; Quark, a platform for information search, storage, and consumption; Alibaba Pictures and other content platforms that provide online videos, films, live events, news feeds, literature, music, and others; Amap, a mobile digital map, navigation, and real-time traffic information app; DingTalk, a business efficiency mobile app; and Tmall Genie smart speaker. The company was incorporated in 1999 and is based in Hangzhou, the People's Republic of China.

SpaceX is set to make stock market history. The rocket maker turned satellite internet and artificial intelligence (AI) conglomerate is expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq on Friday, June 12, after selling about 555.6 million shares at a fixed price of $135 apiece. It will trade under the ticker SPCX. The $75 billion raise would be the largest from any initial public offering (IPO) ever -- more than double the $29.4 billion record set by Saudi Aramco in 2019. And it gives the company an initial market value of about $1.77 trillion, instantly one of the most valuable companies in the world.
Anticipation among everyday investors seems just as outsized. SpaceX's prospectus names several retail brokerage platforms that will make shares available at the offer price, an unusual arrangement at this scale. Everyone else who wants in on Friday will pay whatever price the market sets at the open.

So, what does history say about buying a debut of this magnitude on day one? Here are three lessons from the market's biggest IPOs.
1. The first-day pop mostly rewards offer-price buyers
Big IPOs usually rise on their first day. But the headline gain is measured from the offer price, not from the price most investors can actually get. When Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba went public in 2014, its shares were priced at $68 and opened at $92.70 before closing at $93.89 -- a 38% first-day gain. That pop, however, went almost entirely to investors who received shares in the offering. Anyone who bought at the opening trade earned barely more than 1% by the close.
It can be worse. Visa priced its 2008 IPO at $44 and closed its first session 28% higher at $56.50. But the stock opened at $59.50, meaning investors who bought at the opening trade finished their first day down about 5%.
2. Patient buyers have usually been offered a better price
Here's the part of IPO history that gets less attention: each of the market's most celebrated debuts eventually traded below not just its first-day close but its offer price.
Meta Platforms, then known as Facebook, closed its first day in 2012 at $38.23, nearly flat against a $38 offer price. The stock then needed more than a year to climb back above that level. Alibaba slid below $68 less than a year after its debut. Even Visa, one of the market's great long-term winners, dipped below $44 by January 2009.
Chip designer Arm Holdings offers the most recent example. After pricing its 2023 IPO at $51 and closing its first day about 25% higher at $63.59, the stock was back at $51 within a week. Notably, that didn't make Arm a poor investment. Shares more than doubled from the offer price within their first year on the market. The lesson isn't that the biggest IPOs are doomed -- it's that investors who waited have usually been able to buy at or below the first day's price.
3. Lockup expirations are a known pressure point
Only about 4% of SpaceX's shares are being sold in the offering. The rest are largely held by insiders and early investors who are restricted from selling for now. And history shows what can happen when those restrictions lapse.
Meta's first lockup expiration in August 2012 freed about 271 million shares for sale, and the stock fell to about half its offer price around the event. SpaceX's prospectus lays out a staggered schedule of its own, with insider shares becoming eligible for sale in tranches tied to its first quarterly reports as a public company -- and CEO Elon Musk can't sell for a full year. As that new supply reaches the market, trading could remain volatile well beyond Friday.
What the playbook means for SpaceX (and interested investors)
None of this answers whether SpaceX deserves its price tag. That's maybe even a tougher debate than the one around which direction the stock will trade after the IPO. The company's revenue grew 33% year over year in 2025 to $18.7 billion, led by its Starlink-driven connectivity business, which generated $11.4 billion of that total and counted 10.3 million subscribers at the end of March. But the company also posted a $4.9 billion net loss last year, driven largely by its AI segment following the February acquisition of xAI. And at $135 per share, the stock is valued at about 95 times its 2025 revenue.
In my opinion, SpaceX looks overvalued.
Ultimately, Friday's headline numbers may say more about who got shares at $135 than about where the stock is headed. And investors who like the business may get chances to buy at better prices as lockups expire and early volatility plays out. So, for investors drawn to SpaceX, that may be the most useful takeaway of all: the decision doesn't have to be made in full at Friday's opening bell.

Did You Buy the Tesla, Facebook and Alibaba IPOs?
Tesla went first, by going IPO in 2010. Elon Musk was little known at that time but investors were excited about the possibility of an electric car.
Facebook was the next big IPO that decade going IPO in 2012. Many parents wanted to buy shares to fund their children’s college education. Most people used Facebook and were eager to own a share of the company.
The final “big” IPO was Alibaba which went public in 2014. At the time, Alibaba was the largest IPO in history. Investors were eager for a way to cash in on China’s billion-consumer juggernaut.
Did investors make out in any of these popular IPOs if they bought it on the day of the IPO and held it until June 2026?
3 Juggernaut IPOs: Did Investors Get Rich or Not?
1. Tesla, Inc. (TSLA)
Tesla went public on June 29, 2010, at a price of $17 a share. However, most investors could not get the IPO price. It closed up 40% at $23.89.
If an investor had bought $10,000 worth of Tesla stock on the day of the IPO at $23.89, it would be worth about $2.4 million in June 2026. Tesla has split its shares twice since the IPO, in 2020 and 2022.

2. Meta Platforms, Inc. (META)
Meta Platforms started its life as a public company as Facebook Inc. Facebook went public on May 18, 2012, at the price of $38 a share.
Meta Platforms was a highly anticipated IPO due to the interest of retail investors. In interviews in the financial press, investors said they were buying it to pay for their children’s college education.
$10,000 invested in Meta Platforms on the day of the IPO is currently worth about $154,000. Meta Platforms has never split its shares but it is now paying a dividend, yielding 0.4%.

3. Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. (BABA)
Alibaba was a highly anticipated IPO when it went public on Sep 18, 2014, at the price of $68 a share. Zacks held a live streaming event on the day it launched as it was the largest IPO in history, at that time.
Alibaba raised $25 billion on its IPO. Compare that with SpaceX, which is intending to raise $75 billion.
Shares of Alibaba soared on the first day of trading but have struggled in the twelve years since. $10,000 invested in the IPO in 2014 would be about $17,509 today.

The IPO offer price is $135 per share. So, $1,000 theoretically gets you about just shy of 7.5 shares (many brokerages today offer fractional shares).
But for most retail investors, that math is misleading. It's unlikely you will be able to snag shares at the official price.
The $135 price probably isn't your price
Most IPOs set a price range and let investor demand determine the final number, but SpaceX skipped that step and simply set a hard $135 -- and that price applies only to investors who receive an allocation before trading begins.
If you're reading this, that's probably not you. That's reserved for big institutions and Wall Street insiders.
The rest of us have to compete on the open market, and given the appetite for SpaceX stock, it's likely that the price on day one will be significantly higher.
The biggest IPOs rarely opened at their list price
If that happens, it won't be the first time.
Here's how the five largest U.S. IPOs before SpaceX priced and where they actually opened for everyone else:

Four of the five opened above their list price. Of course, Uber actually debuted below its $45 offer price, a reminder that first-day pops are never guaranteed.
So what does $1,000 actually get you?
Obviously, I can't tell you where the stock will actually list -- the market will decide that on June 12. I will say that it would surprise me if the opening price isn't closer to $150. If that's the case, your $1,000 would get you just shy of 6.7 shares.
What's more important, however, is what happens after that. And despite the hype, I don't think SpaceX stock will stay there for long. I see the stock popping on day one and continuing to do well for the first month or so, but long term, I think shares will come back to earth.
Even if the stock lists below the offer price, I still see SpaceX as being severely overvalued, and I would avoid the IPO and its aftermath altogether.

Here's How Much a $1,000 Investment Could Get You When SpaceX Goes Public June 12

Legendary investor Warren Buffett advises to be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful. One way we can try to measure the level of fear in a given stock is through a technical analysis indicator called the Relative Strength Index, or RSI, which measures momentum on a scale of zero to 100. A stock is considered to be oversold if the RSI reading falls below 30.
In trading on Thursday, shares of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (Symbol: BABA) entered into oversold territory, hitting an RSI reading of 29.8, after changing hands as low as $109.66 per share. By comparison, the current RSI reading of the S&P 500 ETF (SPY) is 51.5. A bullish investor could look at BABA's 29.8 RSI reading today as a sign that the recent heavy selling is in the process of exhausting itself, and begin to look for entry point opportunities on the buy side. The chart below shows the one year performance of BABA shares:
Looking at the chart above, BABA's low point in its 52 week range is $103.71 per share, with $192.67 as the 52 week high point — that compares with a last trade of $112.69.

Alibaba Group Holding Enters Oversold Territory (BABA)

SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX) is about to complete the biggest IPO in history. The space technology and AI company plans to raise $75 billion in its IPO, more than triple the $22 billion Alibaba raised in 2014. It would value the Elon Musk-led start-up at nearly $1.8 trillion.
I'm interested in investing in SpaceX stock. However, I don't plan to participate in the IPO or buy shares immediately after it goes public. Here's why I plan to wait.

An enticing combination
SpaceX is a very intriguing company. It combines a very profitable satellite internet company (Starlink) with a fast-growing rocket business, and a leading-edge AI platform (xAI). Meanwhile, it offers more optionality than almost any company, with potential future growth drivers that include space-based data centers and Mars colonization. The company sees a $23 trillion market opportunity for its AI offerings alone.
The Elon Musk-led start-up is growing fast. Its revenue surged 33% last year to $18.7 billion and rose 15% year over year in the first three months of 2026. While the company as a whole is losing money ($4.9 billion net loss last year), that's largely due to heavy investments tied to xAI, which posted a $6.4 billion loss.
A sky-high valuation
SpaceX has immense growth potential, which investors are pricing into the stock. At its IPO valuation of nearly $1.8 trillion, SpaceX trades at nearly 100 times sales. That's an extremely rich valuation, even for a fast-growing company. For perspective, another Musk-led company, Tesla, went public at about 15 times sales (and currently trades at about 14.5 times sales).
Despite that sky-high valuation, demand for SpaceX stock is high heading into its IPO. Reuters reported that investors have put in orders for about four times more shares than the company plans to sell at its IPO. Those who don't get an IPO allocation will likely try to buy shares as soon as they hit the open market, which will likely send the stock above the company's planned IPO price of $135 a share.
Why waiting could pay off
IPO stocks tend to pop when they debut due to strong initial investor demand. It wouldn't surprise me to see SpaceX stock soar when it starts trading, given robust demand for shares.
However, most of the largest IPOs in recent years have underperformed the market following their debut. According to data from FactSet, only nine of the 36 companies that have gone public on a U.S. exchange with a market capitalization of more than $15 billion have outperformed the S&P 500 since their IPO. That's due to many factors, including growth failing to live up to the initial hype and the increase in the number of available shares as lockout periods expire.
Given SpaceX's lofty valuation, I think there's a high probability it will trade below its IPO price in the next year. That's why I plan to wait before buying shares. I think my patience will pay off and eventually enable me to buy shares of this very interesting company at a much more reasonable valuation.

I'm Interested in Buying SpaceX Stock, Just Not At the IPO. Here's Why I Plan to Wait.

SpaceX is slated to be the biggest initial public offering (IPO) ever on the stock market. Management is plans to offer 555,555,555 shares at $135 each to raise $75 billion. To put that in perspective, the most a company ever raised was $26.5 billion by Saudi Aramco in 2019, and the most raised on a U.S. stock exchange was $21.8 billion by Alibaba in 2014.

A lot of retail investing
According to Reuters, SpaceX plans to offer as much as 30% of the share sale to retail investors. It's unusual for any IPO stock to go to retail investors, although it's been happening through online trading platforms like Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ: HOOD) and SoFi Technologies (NASDAQ: SOFI). The company is aiming to raise a lot of money, and it might need the extra demand.
At the same time, it could be tapping into Elon Musk's strong and devoted following. The company says that "at our request," it will offer IPO shares to retail investors beyond the investment banks underwriting the stock. Retail investors can submit an indication of interest (IOI) or a conditional offer to buy (COB) directly through Robinhood or SoFi, and they can request shares conditionally through Fidelity, Charles Schwab (NYSE: SCHW), or E*TRADE by Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS).
None of these companies guarantees that the stock will be available for purchase at the IPO, though the high percentage of shares set aside for retail investors increases the odds of success. For those who are approved, the platforms discourage "flipping," or selling immediately. Although it's allowed, flippers may be blocked from some IPO access if they sell within 30 days of the offering.
A soaring stock price
Once the IPO occurs, SpaceX stock will be tradable on the open market like any other stock, and volatility could be high. Investors who aren't able to buy at the IPO price might jump in at the opening, and the hype surrounding it raises interest. That would raise the price as well, and it could jump pretty high on the first day of trading.
Management has noted that the high percentage of retail interest can boost volatility, since investors may trade on hype rather than fundamentals.
A tumbling stock price
At $135 a pop, SpaceX stock is extremely expensive, trading at about 100 times trailing 12-month sales while the company reports net losses. That's more expensive than artificial intelligence (AI) stock Palantir Technologies, which surpassed that at its peak but currently trades at about 70 times sales while being highly profitable.
Some investors who own shares through private purchases might want to pocket the gains immediately, and investors who buy in for the hype might want to pocket gains quickly, too. The flipping clause is meant to lower the potential for high volatility and reduce retail investor risk.

However, a strong jobs report sent the index back down on Friday, since it signals the likelihood of maintaining high interest rates.
All things being equal, a highly anticipated IPO like SpaceX boosts bull sentiment and market confidence, and the rising tide could lift many other boats.

SpaceX Stock Starts Trading This Week. Here's What to Expect.

Nio (NYSE: NIO) electric vehicle (EV) sales are booming, margins are improving, and consumers are queueing up for its newly launched mass-market EV brand, Onvo. By all logical metrics, the Chinese EV maker is executing well and bucking the slowdown in China's overall automotive industry. Yet, the stock fell 12.4% in May, according to data provided by S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Nio's numbers reveal solid growth
Nio released its first-quarter numbers last month. Q1 deliveries jumped 98% year over year to 83,465 units. Vehicle sales more than doubled to $3.3 billion, while gross margin improved from 7.6% to 19%, driven mainly by higher average selling prices. Nio reported a net loss of only $0.03 per share, crushing analysts' estimates.
It was also an aggressive launch period for the company, with Nio launching Onvo L80 SUV in mid-May and the Nio ES9 SUV later in the month. Importantly, it began deliveries immediately, providing an instant volume boost.
Additionally, Nio's ultra-premium ES8 continued to dominate, holding the number one sales spot in China for all vehicles priced above RMB 400,000 for five consecutive months.
With everything seemingly working in Nio's favor, why did the stock still fall in May?
The biggest cloud hanging over EV stocks was a slowdown in China's auto market, with car sales falling for the eighth straight month in May. Nio's CEO William Li even said that China's automotive market has likely moved past its "golden era." EVs and plug-in hybrids made up 62% of total car sales in May, but their sales were also down for the fifth straight month.
In what may have also come as a surprise to Nio investors, the company is pulling back on its international growth plans. Nio is not exiting any market, but is planning to adopt partnership models instead of direct sales to cut costs, according to CnEvPost. This is in sharp contrast to rival Xpeng's business strategy. Xpeng plans to double overseas sales in 2026. It already operates in 60 countries and regions and is targeting the Latin American market next.
Should you buy Nio stock now, or avoid it?
Nio is flush with cash and has the capital runway to keep expanding its massive battery-swapping infrastructure, also one of its biggest competitive advantages. It projects Q2 deliveries of 110,000 to 115,000 vehicles, representing nearly 53% to 60% growth year over year. Nio's shift toward an asset-light business model overseas is also a smart move.
However, the Chinese EV market is becoming a battleground. Nio faces intense, escalating domestic competition from not just the EV makers but also tech giants like Huawei, Xiaomi, and Alibaba, all of whom are now making EVs.
Nio still has the financial clout and infrastructure to grow in the domestic market, but there are other risks with owning Chinese stocks that investors should be aware of. The latest example is the U.S. Department of Defense officially adding Nio to its Section 1260H "Chinese Military Companies" list, along with other big players like Alibaba.
To be sure, this designation does not restrict U.S. investors from trading the stock, and Nio also plans to contest the inclusion and take legal action if necessary. The label, however, can create barriers to growth. Large institutional investors operate under strict compliance mandates that prohibit investing in stocks classified as a foreign military entity. That could mean institutional selling in Nio stock, effectively capping the upside.

Why Nio Stock Skid 12% in May Despite 129% Growth in EV Sales

(RTTNews) - Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. (BABA, 9988.HK), an e-commerce and technology company, on Monday said the U.S. Department of Defense has included the company on its list of Chinese Military Companies.
The company said it believes the inclusion is a mistake and that there is no basis to conclude Alibaba should be placed on the list.
The U.S. Department of Defense is prohibited from procuring, directly or indirectly, goods, services, or technology from entities on the CMC list.
The Group said it is not a CMC and is not part of any military-civil fusion strategy.
The company said it will take all available legal action against attempts to misrepresent the company.
Alibaba said the designation will not affect its ability to conduct business in the United States or elsewhere because the group does not engage in U.S. military procurement-related business.
The company said the list does not impose export controls or sanctions and does not prohibit business dealings with the group or transactions in its securities.
Alibaba Group is currently trading 0.84% lesser at HK$117.800 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

A leader in rocket launches
So, first, let's consider the SpaceX story. Elon Musk founded the company nearly 25 years ago and has since made it a leader in rocket launches -- it completed 165 last year, the most of any company -- and a hopeful in the AI race. After the acquisition of Musk's xAI earlier in the year, SpaceX became a big player in this market that may reach beyond $2 trillion by the end of the decade. In fact, SpaceX sees its total addressable market, which includes all of its businesses, at a mind-boggling $28 trillion.
Goldman Sachs, lead underwriter of the IPO, is optimistic too, predicting SpaceX's revenue will soar to more than $400 billion in five years -- that's from $18 billion last year -- according to a report in The Financial Times.
All of that sounds fantastic, but it's important to keep in mind that SpaceX also carries some risk. For example, it must invest significantly in its AI business to reach its goals, and last year, that resulted in a $6.3 billion loss for that business. It's also key to note that certain SpaceX goals depend on technology that hasn't yet been proven -- and some goals, if reached, may take longer than expected. All of this could get in the way of profitability and potentially result in poor stock performance, too.
So, yes, SpaceX could become a major success story and see its stock skyrocket (excuse the pun), but this success isn't guaranteed. This means the stock might be right for certain aggressive investors, but cautious investors may want to watch from the sidelines -- at least for now.
A look at previous historic IPOs
But if you don't mind the risk and consider picking up SpaceX shares either by participating in the IPO or buying during the first days of trading, could the stock set you up for life? So the answer is crystal clear: A big IPO doesn't necessarily lead to a winning stock market performance. And when the stock does deliver a positive performance, history tells us that it is still likely to offer additional buying opportunities down the road. For example, a look at Meta shows that if you invested later in the story, you would have gained considerably.
What does this mean for you today as an investor, with the SpaceX IPO approaching? Never rush into an IPO just because the operation is big and the company seems exciting. Instead, examine if the company is really the right fit for your portfolio over the long term, and if it is, you might add it to your portfolio at any point in time. History shows us that buying around the time of the IPO doesn't always lead to a win.
Finally, it's never a good idea to rely on one stock to set you up for life. It's unlikely that one company alone will do the job. Instead, aim to invest in at least 50 quality stocks -- progressively, according to your budget -- and hold on for the long term. That's the best way to grow wealth over time.

Could Investing in the SpaceX IPO Set You Up for Life? History Offers an Answer That's Crystal Clear.

This year is shaping up to be a historic in terms of companies going public. Artificial intelligence (AI) start-ups Anthropic and OpenAI plan their initial public offerings (IPOs) this year, but unquestionably, the biggest debut is expected to be SpaceX. The company is looking to raise $75 billion in its offering, which will dwarf previous records by a wide margin.
The hype machine is ramping up at dizzying proportions, and that's understandable. The chance to get in on the ground floor and ride the rocket maker to new heights is certainly a tempting proposition. So, should investors buy SpaceX on IPO day? Let's see what lessons we can glean from history.

Ready for launch
Before we address the question at hand, it's worth looking at what the SpaceX offering will entail and what investors will get for their money.
In the company's latest S-1 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (aka SpaceX) revealed it will offer 555,555,555 shares of Class A common stock at an IPO price of $135 per share, raising roughly $75 billion and valuing the company at $1.77 trillion. The stock will be listed on the Nasdaq exchange using the symbol "SPCX."
SpaceX has three distinct business segments: rocket launch, satellite internet, and artificial intelligence (AI).
The most high-profile of the three is the rocket launch business, which has launched roughly 650 Falcon rockets with a 99% success rate. It also pioneered "reusable" rockets, making space travel more cost-effective.
The company also boasts the largest network of broadband and mobile satellites in Low-Earth orbit, with approximately 9,600 Starlink satellites, delivering service to millions of customers in 164 countries.
Last but not least is the company's AI segment, including Grok AI, thanks to the recent merger with xAI. SpaceX has ambitious plans to build and launch solar-powered orbital data centers, which it believes will offer "far greater scale and efficiency than terrestrial alternatives."
Late last week, SpaceX revealed in a regulatory filing that it had reached a deal with Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) (NASDAQ: GOOG), under which the Google-parent will pay $920 million per month between Oct. 2026 and June 2029 for compute capacity, for a deal valued at $30 billion. This comes on the heels of a similar deal reached with Anthropic, which is paying SpaceX $1.25 billion per month.
The company's financial results are intriguing. In 2025, SpaceX generated revenue of $18.7 billion, up 33% year over year, but recorded a net loss of $4.9 billion under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). On an adjusted basis, the company's results look more appealing, with adjusted EBITDA of $6.6 billion, though this ignores stock-based compensation, depreciation, and amortization, among other very real business expenses.
These financials don't include the recently inked agreements, which will no doubt improve its financial position.
What history says
While there are plenty of reasons to be excited about the SpaceX IPO, a look at history can be instructional, as the past is rife with examples of stocks that fell significantly in the wake of their public offerings.
Sam Grelck, equity strategy analyst at Truist, reviewed data from the 30 biggest IPOs of the past 15 years, and his findings are telling. More than half of these stocks were underwater after the first week, and also at 12 months post-IPO, with 17 of 30 stocks in the red. The best-performing stock in the group was Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR), which was up 153% after the first year but shed 53% of its value at one point during the year. Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ: HOOD) had the worst track record, losing 74% in the first year, after falling as much as 90%. The full data is illustrated in the chart below.
In nearly every case, the first year was a rocky one for these newly listed companies, which serves as a stark reminder for investors. Recently minted stocks can be particularly volatile, so IPO investing isn't for the faint of heart.
A couple of other caveats for thoughtful investors. While the offering price is $135 per share, retail investors may not be able to get that price. The hype ahead of the SpaceX launch has reached a fever pitch, which could drive the stock price up from the moment it begins trading, causing investors to pay a much higher price.
Furthermore, while investors will be able to own SpaceX stock, make no mistake about who will be in control. Founder and CEO Elon Musk will control 82% of the company's voting power, leaving retail investors with little say in matters requiring shareholder approval.
Last, but certainly not least, if SpaceX achieves its $1.77 trillion valuation, the stock would be selling for roughly 95 times sales, a premium valuation to be sure.
For investors who are still determined to buy the SpaceX IPO, it should be a small part of a well-balanced portfolio. It may also be worth waiting for the inevitable stock price fall to buy at a more reasonable price.
