Broadcom Posts Strong AI Revenue
Broadcom is evolving a broad portfolio of technologies to extend its leadership in enabling next-generation AI infrastructure. This includes foundational technologies and advanced packaging capabilities aimed at building the highest performance, lowest power custom AI accelerators.
The stock has long been a favorite among those seeking tech exposure paired with paydays, with the company’s strong cash-generating abilities allowing it to consistently reward shareholders over its history.

The AI favorite again came out with rock-solid results in its latest quarterly print, with Data Center sales of $39.1 billion climbing 73% from the $22.5 billion print in the same period last year.

ASML (NASDAQ: ASML) stock was down over 11% at one point during the trading day July 16 before closing the session down 8.3%. However, the growth stock continued falling over the next couple of days and is now down 21% over the past year.
The company makes advanced lithography machines that chip manufacturers use to produce chips designed by companies like Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) and Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO). ASML's extreme ultraviolet (EUV) systems pack an unprecedented number of transistors into each silicon wafer, advancing precision and lowering manufacturing costs. These machines are the muscle behind the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution.

Here's what you need to know about the ASML sell-off, and whether it could have ripple effects that could drag Nvidia and Broadcom down from their all-time highs.
ASML's solid results were overshadowed by its guidance
ASML reported its most recent quarterly results on July 16. It had a great second quarter and is guiding for 15% revenue growth and slightly higher gross margins for the full year. The semiconductor equipment supplier reaffirmed its 2030 targets, which forecast revenue to increase by 55% to 112% from its 2024 results of 28.3 billion euros ($32.81 billion), and gross margin expansion from the low 50% range to 56% to 60%.
The margin expansion is likely due to the company's anticipated increase in EUV machines in its sales mix. Right now, its older and less advanced deep ultraviolet machines (DUV) still make up the bulk of new sales. ASML brings in a significant amount of revenue by servicing existing machines for its customers. Margins should grow as the sales mix shifts to more expensive EUV machines -- especially its roughly $400 million ultra-powered high-numerical aperture (high-NA) versions.
The near-term results and the 2030 targets aren't the issue. Rather, it's a murky medium-term outlook. ASML cited geopolitical challenges and macroeconomic headwinds that are affecting its customers and the timing of their spending.
The company is directly affected by tariffs on imports to its U.S. manufacturing centers and field operations. ASML also sources components from around the world to build its machines, so it has a complex supply chain that is vulnerable to tariffs.
Although ASML is a Dutch company, the Netherlands works closely with the U.S. on trade policy. This limits ASML's ability to sell products to China, despite China's rapidly growing demand for semiconductor lithography systems. As it stands today, ASML can't sell its most advanced systems to China -- just older, lower-cost units.
There's also the indirect effect of tariffs, which could involve a more severe industrywide slowdown and a shift in customer sentiment. Given the uncertainty, ASML said that it cannot confirm it will grow in 2026. That's likely the reason that the stock is selling off.
Nvidia and Broadcom operate upstream of ASML along the AI value chain
ASML's latest earnings report and management commentary were a reminder of the cyclicality of the semiconductor industry. Despite widespread enthusiasm and spending on AI, downturns can still happen for geopolitical or macroeconomic reasons, from tariffs and trade policy to interest rates and the timing of the investment cycle.
Before Nvidia and Broadcom investors start to worry, it's important to remember that ASML operates in a very different sales cycle from those two companies. ASML sold just 76 new lithography units in its latest quarter. That's less than one sale per day. You would be hard-pressed to find a company with a market cap of nearly $290 billion with an order volume that small. But it's a testament to the sophistication of ASML's cutting-edge tech. The company has a virtual monopoly, and its customers are willing to pay a high price for its machines because they're worth it in the long run if they can reduce costs and improve precision. But because these units are so expensive, it's easier for a key customer to decide to delay a purchase by a year or two to wait for more favorable conditions.
In its latest quarter, ASML said that 35% of new system sales were in Taiwan, while 27% were in China, 19% were in South Korea, 10% were in the U.S., and 9% were in other places. You can bet that the majority of sales in Taiwan are going to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE: TSM), South Korea is probably Samsung Electronics (OTC: SSNL.F), and the U.S. is mostly Intel (NASDAQ: INTC).
Nvidia and Broadcom have international exposure, too. But their sales cycle is far different because they aren't just selling a few big-ticket items every quarter. Nvidia makes most of its money selling graphics processing units (GPUs), software, and associated infrastructure to build AI ecosystems for hyperscalers. Hyperscalers like Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) are raking in the free cash flow and pouring capital expenditures into AI investments -- benefiting Nvidia.
Broadcom is experiencing explosive growth from hyperscalers for its AI chips. But Broadcom does a lot outside AI, from network connectivity to cybersecurity, broadband, wireless, and infrastructure software.
Both Nvidia and Broadcom have international exposure and are vulnerable to trade tensions and tariff risks, but their sales cycles are distinctly different from ASML's. So ASML's warning of an impending slowdown doesn't necessarily mean the same for Nvidia and Broadcom. However, if fabs (the fabricators) slow down their investment, it could lead to a backlog buildup, which could delay shipments for chip designers.
Zooming out in the semiconductor industry
The sell-off in ASML stock is a reaction to near-term guidance and has nothing to do with the long-term investment. The best way to approach any chip stock, especially ones with expensive valuations like Nvidia and Broadcom, is to take a long-term view, preferably at least three to five years.
If you believe in the long-term growth of global connectivity and AI and that Nvidia and Broadcom will remain industry leaders, then both stocks are probably worth buying and holding. Even a few quarters or a few years of bad earnings will ultimately be made up for by the long-term investment thesis playing out.
However, the further stock prices outpace earnings growth, and the more expensive valuations become, the more hot air fills the stock price, which can go out just as fast as it went in. Therefore, it's essential to approach these stocks with the right mindset and accept that geopolitical and macroeconomic factors can have a massive effect on the stock prices of these companies in the short term.

What constitutes quality a business?
Businesses that enable you to grow your wealth should have certain characteristics. They should demonstrate steady increases in revenue over the years and preferably be generating consistent free cash flow.
Such companies should also possess a robust business model and clear catalysts that can help them grow sustainably. Having a large and growing total addressable market is another attractive feature that should assure investors that a business still has a long growth runway.
With these criteria in mind, here are three attractive growth stocks that you should own in the long run.
Freshworks
Freshworks (NASDAQ: FRSH) uses artificial intelligence (AI) on its cloud platform to provide customer relationship management and IT service management. The company counts brands including American Express, Bridgestone, and Fila as its customers.
Freshworks has not only demonstrated consistent growth in revenue over the past three years, but it also saw its gross margin increase steadily, as shown below.

As its top line improved, it also generated higher levels of free cash flow: It was $2.3 million in 2021 and leaped to $77.8 million by 2023.
Freshworks continued to display strong financial and operating metrics in the first nine months of 2024. Revenue rose 20.5% year over year to $525.8 million, while gross profit increased by almost 23% year over year to $442 million. The gross margin continued to improve from 82.5% in the previous year to 84.1% in the current period.
Free cash flow more than doubled year over year from $49.2 million to $111.6 million. Customers are also spending more -- those with over $5,000 in annual recurring revenue (ARR) increased by 14.4% year over year to 22,359 while those with more than $50,000 in ARR climbed nearly 33% year over year to 3,008.
The company recently introduced its Freddy AI Agent, a new generation of autonomous service agents that can be easily deployed at customers' workplaces. Management says these agents helped to resolve an average of 45% of customer support requests and 40% of IT service requests while delivering significant productivity and efficiency gains.
Freddy AI Agent can also increase personalization, helping to improve customer stickiness for the company's platform. During its 2023 Investor Day, management identified a total addressable market of $78 billion, a significant runway for the business.
Freshworks intends to continue leveraging AI to create new monetization opportunities, and the future looks bright as it demonstrates growth in revenue, gross margin, and free cash flow.
Confluent
Confluent (NASDAQ: CFLT) offers a data streaming platform that helps collate and consolidate organizations' real-time data from multiple sources to offer analytics and insights. The company is also enabling generative artificial intelligence (AI) that avoids hallucinations -- a response generated by AI that contains false or misleading information presented as fact -- and allows better access control.
Because of its cutting-edge software, Confluent has seen its revenue and gross margin increase, as shown below.

Although free cash flow over these three years remained negative, encouraging signs point to the business, eventually generating positive free cash flow as it continues to scale up.
For the first nine months of 2024, Confluent saw revenue jump 24.6% year over year to $702.4 million. Gross profit climbed by 31% year over year to $512.5 million, with gross margin continuing to improve from 69.4% in the previous year to 73%.
The good news is that operating cash flow nearly turned positive, at negative $1.8 million, versus the prior year's operating cash outflow of $115.9 million. These numbers show that the company is well on its way to generating positive operating cash flow in due course.
Total customers also grew 16% year over year to around 5,680, and customers with ARR exceeding $1 million jumped by 19% year over year to 184. The company is growing its total customer base while also seeing customers spend more on its platform.
Management identified a total addressable market of $60 billion back in 2022. This market looks set to rise by 19% per annum to reach $100 billion by 2025, and it represents a significant opportunity for Confluent to continue growing since its annual revenue has yet to hit $1 billion.
With its annual subscription revenue soaring 66% per annum from 2018 to 2023, the company looks set to maintain this momentum since it is well positioned to benefit from the organizational shift to cloud computing.
Roku
Roku (NASDAQ: ROKU) is a provider of streaming content and helps its users find what they enjoy watching. The company also works with content publishers to monetize their audiences, and with advertisers looking to reach their target consumer segments.
Roku has steadily grown its revenue from 2021 to 2023 as seen in the table below. Gross margin has come under pressure as cost of revenue from its platform division shot up, but gross profit still managed to increase steadily over time.

The business generated fairly consistent free cash flow every year and has continued to do so this year.
For the first nine months of 2024, revenue rose 16.5% year over year to $2.9 billion while gross profit increased 19.2% year over year to $1.29 billion. There was a slight increase in gross margin from 43.4% to 44.4%, offering hope that Roku has managed to arrest the decline in this metric over the past three years.
Free cash flow came in at $136.2 million for the period, making 2022 seem like a blip as the streaming content provider is on its way to generating free cash flow for three out of the past four years.
The number of its streaming households continues to grow and was up 13% year over year to 85.5 million for the third quarter of 2024. The number of streaming hours also rose 20% year over year to 32 billion over the same period.
Roku announced that it has surpassed 90 million streaming households by the first week of 2025, which would represent at least a 12.5% year-over-year increase over the previous corresponding quarter.
The platform is seeing healthy momentum even as management launched its latest Roku Data Cloud that allows its partners to access, analyze, and use its proprietary TV data. This cloud-collaboration platform enables advertisers, agencies, and partners to obtain accurate information and curate their offerings to suit their target audience, allowing for better results.
The company has continued to add streaming services on its platform, with the latest being Crunchyroll, a global anime brand that offers access to 25,000 hours of anime with more than 2,000 titles.
These initiatives and business developments should help Roku to continue to expand its subscriber base and register more streaming hours, thereby helping the business to continue increasing its revenue and free cash flow.

1. Nvidia
No good AI investing list is complete without the undisputed king of AI: Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA). Nvidia's graphics processing units (GPUs) have been the computing muscle behind AI models from the start, and it continues to lead this important industry.
There is still a significant amount of AI buildout underway, and Nvidia's GPUs will continue to handle this demand. Although the stock is currently the largest in the world, it still has plenty of upside left.
2. Broadcom
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) also provides AI computing hardware, featuring custom AI accelerators designed in collaboration with the end user. These are being deployed alongside GPUs and represent an excellent way to cut costs when building out inference capacity. Broadcom is a rising player in the AI space, and investors should keep a close eye on it over the next few years.
3. Taiwan Semiconductor
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE: TSM) produces chips for companies like Nvidia and Broadcom that lack the in-house capabilities to do so themselves. They're a key part of the AI value chain and could be one of the most critical companies on Earth.
TSMC's management forecasts a substantial 45% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for its AI-related revenue over the five-year period starting in 2025. That would lead to significant growth if this guidance proves accurate.
4. ASML
Taiwan Semiconductor's factories are equipped with machines from ASML (NASDAQ: ASML), as the company is the only one in the world with extreme-ultraviolet lithography technology. Their machines help lay the tiny electrical traces on chips and are used in every high-tech chip production facility due to their technological monopoly.
As more chip production comes online to meet the rising demand for AI, ASML will continue to sell more machines.
5. Digital Realty Trust
Digital Realty Trust (NYSE: DLR) offers a distinct approach to participating in the AI arms race. It's a real estate investment trust, which normally doesn't land on tech investors' radars. However, Digital Realty is focused on building data centers that it can rent out to clients.
This is a massive and quickly growing field, and with Digital Realty's nearly 3% dividend yield, it's an excellent dividend payer as well.
6. Alphabet
Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL) is playing both sides of the AI arms race, as it develops its own AI models while also facilitating those of others.
One area it helps further AI is through its cloud computing wing, Google Cloud. Cloud computing providers build computing capacity and rent it out to clients. This can be used for traditional computing workloads or AI. AI demand has driven cloud computing into another growth wave, and it's expected to continue growing for many years.
7. Amazon

AWS also grew at a 17% pace in Q1, indicating that Amazon's largest profit source is rapidly expanding.
AWS will be an essential part of Amazon's growth picture moving forward, and understanding that is key to investing in Amazon.
8. Microsoft
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) has the second-largest cloud computing platform, Azure. Although Microsoft has partnered with OpenAI, the makers of ChatGPT, it's also facilitating many other AI models on its platform. Microsoft aims to provide a platform on which clients can build their AI models, and this endeavor has been largely successful, given Azure's growth.
Unfortunately, Microsoft only provides us with Azure's growth rate (33% in its latest quarter), but it's likely a significant contributor to Microsoft's overall revenue and profits. Considering the bright cloud computing outlook, this makes it an excellent AI stock pick.
9. Arista Networks
Arista Networks (NYSE: ANET) is one of the lesser-known names on this list, but its products are crucial for data centers to operate at a high level. Their networking solutions enable clients to connect data centers across multiple locations, a crucial aspect of AI processing and cloud computing.
Without Arista's technology, cloud computing and AI wouldn't look the same as they do today. And considering the massive data center buildout that's coming, it has plenty of room to grow.
10. Synopsys
Synopsys (NASDAQ: SNPS) provides a software program that enables customers to design semiconductors. Without Synopsys' technology, the research and development cycle for chips would be significantly longer, which would slow the pace of innovation in the AI world. Synopsys is a key part of AI advancement, and its software will continue to be a must-have for those involved in the AI field.

10 No-Brainer Artificial Intelligence (AI) Stocks to Buy Right Now

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) Tuesday closed up +0.06%, the Dow Jones Industrials Index ($DOWI) (DIA) closed up +0.40%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) closed down -0.50%. September E-mini S&P futures (ESU25) rose +0.01%, and September E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQU25) fell -0.52%.
Stock indexes settled mixed on Tuesday. On the positive side, D.R. Horton rallied more than +16% to lead home builders higher after reporting stronger-than-expected Q3 net sales and raising its full-year revenue forecast. Also, Northrop Grumman rose more than +9% after boosting its full-year adjusted EPS forecast. In addition, bond yields fell on Tuesday, supporting stocks after Treasury Secretary Bessent said, "He sees no reason for Fed Chair Powell to step down right now." The 10-year T-note yield fell -4 bp to a 1.5-week low of 4.34%.

Positive trade comments from Treasury Secretary Bessent on Tuesday were supportive for stocks when he said, "trade is in a very good place with China," and he will meet his Chinese counterparts in Stockholm next week. He also said he believes the US "will likely extend" its trade truce with China past the August 12 deadline of the current truce.
Weighing on the Nasdaq 100 index Tuesday was weakness in semiconductor stocks. Also, Lockheed Martin dropped more than -10% after reporting weaker-than-expected Q2 net sales and cutting its full-year EPS estimate. In addition, General Motors fell more than -7% after forecasting full-year EBIT below analysts' estimates.
Tuesday's US economic news was bearish for stocks after the July Richmond Fed manufacturing index unexpectedly fell -12 to an 11-month low of -20, weaker than expectations of an increase to -2.
Recent trade news has put some downward pressure on stocks. Last Wednesday, President Trump announced that he intends to send a tariff letter to more than 150 countries, notifying them that their tariff rates could be 10% or 15%, effective August 1. Also, President Trump recently announced that the US will impose 30% tariffs on US imports from the European Union and Mexico, effective August 1. In addition, Mr. Trump said that a 35% tariff on some Canadian products would take effect on August 1, up from the current 25%.
The markets this week will focus on any tariff news along with the announcement of any new trade deals. On Wednesday, June existing home sales are expected to fall -0.7% m/m to 4.00 million. On Thursday, weekly initial unemployment claims are expected to climb by +6,000 to 227,000. Also, the July S&P US manufacturing PMI is expected to slip -0.4 to 52.5. Finally, on Thursday, June new home sales are expected to climb +4.3% m/m to 650,000. On Friday, June capital goods new orders nondefense ex-aircraft and parts are expected to increase by +0.2% m/m.
Federal funds futures prices are discounting the chances for a -25 bp rate cut at 5% at the July 29-30 FOMC meeting and 58% at the following meeting on September 16-17.
The markets are awaiting a heavy slate of quarterly corporate earnings results this week, including Alphabet and Tesla on Wednesday. About one-fifth of the companies in the S&P 500 are expected to report their Q2 earnings results this week. Early results now show S&P 500 earnings are on track to rise +3.2% for the second quarter, better than the pre-season expectations of +2.8% y/y, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. Also, only six of the eleven S&P 500 sectors are projected to post an increase in earnings, the fewest since Q1 of 2023, according to Yardeni Research.
Overseas stock markets on Tuesday settled mixed. The Euro Stoxx 50 fell to a 2-week low and closed down -0.98%. China's Shanghai Composite climbed to a 9.5-month high and closed up +0.62%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 fell from a 3-week high and closed down -0.11%.
Interest Rates
September 10-year T-notes (ZNU25) Tuesday closed up +7 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield fell -4.0 bp to 4.338%. T-notes recovered from overnight losses and climbed to a 2.5-week high, and the 10-year T-note yield fell to a 1.5-week low of 4.326% on comments from Treasury Secretary Bessent, who said "he sees no reason for Fed Chair Powell to step down right now." T-notes extended their gains after the July Richmond Fed manufacturing index unexpectedly fell to an 11-month low. T-notes also garnered carryover support Tuesday from a rally in 10-year German bunds to a 2-week high.
European government bond yields on Tuesday moved lower. The 10-year German bund yield fell to a 2-week low of 2.585% and finished down -2.3 bp to 2.590%. The 10-year UK gilt yield fell -3.4 bp to 4.569%.
The ECB's quarterly Bank Lending Survey stated that "Loan demand was supported by declining interest rates, but dampened by global uncertainty and trade tensions, and while lenders saw a 'slight net increase' in loan demand in Q2, the uptake remained weak overall."
Swaps are discounting the chances at 1% for a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at Thursday's policy meeting.
US Stock Movers
Weakness in chip stocks was a negative factor for the overall market on Tuesday, with KLA Corp (KLAC) closing down more than -4% to lead losers in the Nasdaq 100. Also, Lam Research (LRCX), ARM Holdings Plc (ARM), Micron Technology (MU), and Broadcom (AVGO) closed down more than +3%. In addition, Nvidia (NVDA) closed down more than -2% to lead losers in the Dow Jones Industrials, and Analog Devices (ADI) and Applied Materials (AMAT) closed down more than -2%.
D.R. Horton (DHI) surged more than +16% to lead homebuilders higher after reporting Q3 net sales of 23,071, better than the consensus of 22,017, and raising its full-year revenue forecast to $33.7 billion-$34.2 billion from a previous estimate of $33.3 billion-$34.8 billion, the midpoint above the consensus of $33.84 billion. Also, PulteGroup (PHM) closed up more than +11%, and Lennar (LEN) and Toll Brothers (TOL) closed up more than +8%.
IQVIA Holdings (IQV) closed up more than +17% to lead gainers in the S&P 500 after reporting Q2 revenue of $4.02 billion, above the consensus of $3.96 billion.
Northrop Grumman (NOC) closed up more than +9% after boosting its full-year adjusted EPS forecast to $25.00-$25.40 from a previous forecast of $24.95-$25.35, the midpoint above the consensus of $25.17.
Quest Diagnostics (DGX) closed up more than +7% after reporting Q2 adjusted EPS of $2.62, better than the consensus of $2.58, and raising its full-year adjusted EPS estimate to $9.63-$9.83 from a previous estimate of $9.55-$9.80.
Genuine Parts Co (GPC) closed up more than +7% after reporting Q2 net sales of $6.20 billion, better than the consensus of $6.11 billion.
PACCAR Inc. (PCAR) closed up more than +6% to lead gainers in the Nasdaq 100 after raising the lower end of its full-year capex estimate to $750 million-$800 million from a previous forecast of $700 million-$800 million.
United Natural Foods (UNFI) closed up more than +3% after Northcoast Research upgraded the stock to buy from neutral with a price target of $36.
Lockheed Martin (LMT) closed down more than -10% to lead losers in the S&P 500 after reporting Q2 net sales of $18.16 billion, weaker than the consensus of $18.53 billion, and cut its full-year EPS estimate to $21.70-$22.00 from a previous estimate of $27.00-$27.30.
General Motors (GM) closed down more than -8% after forecasting full-year adjusted EBIT of $10.00 billion to $11.37 billion, with the midpoint below the consensus of $11.37 billion.
Equifax (EFX) closed down more than -8% after forecasting Q3 adjusted EPS of $1.87-$1.97, below the consensus of $1.99.

Broadcom stock fell as investors got bad news about Stargate
The Wall Street Journal published a report today stating that the Stargate Project AI infrastructure company funded by Softbank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX was getting off to a slow start. The partners have pledged $500 billion in funding to build data centers and other AI infrastructure over the next four years, but things are moving slower than anticipated -- and the scope of near-term expansion plans has been narrowed.
Broadcom's networking and connectivity chips and other hardware help support advanced AI processors from Nvidia and other providers, and it's been a huge beneficiary of the AI boom. Even with today's pullback, the company's share price is up 67.5% over the last three months and 786% over the last five years.
What's next for Broadcom?
If Stargate Project's scaling takes longer than expected to materialize, it could mean slower-than-expected growth for Broadcom. The company's positions in connectivity hardware and software services remain strong, and its long-term outlook is promising, but Stargate represents a significant source of potential sales for the business. So long as the tech partners move forward with the previously announced plans, some delays shouldn't hurt Broadcom too much -- but the situation is worth keeping an eye on.

T-notes extended their gains after the July Richmond Fed manufacturing index unexpectedly fell to an 11-month low. T-notes also garnered carryover support today from a rally in 10-year German bunds to a 2-week high.
European government bond yields today are moving lower. The 10-year German bund yield fell to a 2-week low of 2.588% and is down -2.4 bp to 2.589%. The 10-year UK gilt yield is down -3.5 bp to 4.568%.
The ECB's quarterly Bank Lending Survey stated that "Loan demand was supported by declining interest rates, but dampened by global uncertainty and trade tensions, and while lenders saw a 'slight net increase' in loan demand in Q2, the uptake remained weak overall."
Swaps are discounting the chances at 1% for a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at Thursday's policy meeting.
US Stock Movers
Weakness in chip stocks is a negative factor for stocks today, with NXP Semiconductors NV (NXPI) down more than -2% after forecasting Q3 revenue of $3.05 billion to $3.25 billion, below the whisper number of $3.30 billion. Also, ARM Holdings Plc (ARM) is down more than -4% to lead losers in the Nasdaq 100, and Micron Technology (MU) is down more than +3%. In addition, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Nvidia (NVDA), Applied Materials (AMAT), Broadcom (AVGO), Lam Research (LRCX), and KLA Corp (KLAC) are down more than -2%.
General Motors (GM) is down more than -7% to lead losers in the S&P 500 after forecasting full-year adjusted EBIT of $10.00 billion to $11.37 billion, with the midpoint below the consensus of $11.37 billion.
Equifax (EFX) is down more than -7% after forecasting Q3 adjusted EPS of $1.87-$1.97, below the consensus of $1.99.
Lockheed Martin (LMT) is down more than -6% after reporting Q2 net sales of $18.16 billion, weaker than the consensus of $18.53 billion, and cut its full-year EPS estimate to $21.70-$22.00 from a previous estimate of $27.00-$27.30.
Phillip Morris International (PM) is down more than -6% after forecasting full-year organic revenue to climb +6% to +8%, weaker than the consensus of +8.29%.
Sherwin-Williams (SHW) is down more than -3% top lead losers in the Dow Jones Industrials after reporting Q2 adjusted EPS of $3.38, weaker than the consensus of $3.81, and cutting its full-year adjusted EPS estimate to $11.20-$11.50 from a previous estimate of $11.65-$12.05, below the consensus of $11.87.
RTX Corp (RTX) is down more than -2% after cutting its full-year adjusted EPS forecast to $5.80-$5.95 from a previous forecast of $6.00-$6.15, weaker than the consensus of $5.98.
D.R. Horton (DHI) is up more than +13% to lead homebuilders higher after reporting Q3 net sales of 23,071, better than the consensus of 22,017, and raising its full-year revenue forecast to $33.7 billion-$34.2 billion from a previous estimate of $33.3 billion-$34.8 billion, the midpoint above the consensus of $33.84 billion. Also, PulteGroup (PHM) is up more than +8%, Lennar (LEN) is up more than +7%, and Toll Brothers (TOL) is up more than +6%.
IQVIA Holdings (IQV) is up more than +16% to lead gainers in the S&P 500 after reporting Q2 revenue of $4.02 billion, above the consensus of $3.96 billion.
Northrop Grumman (NOC) is up more than +9% after boosting its full-year adjusted EPS forecast to $25.00-$25.40 from a previous forecast of $24.95-$25.35, the midpoint above the consensus of $25.17.
Quest Diagnostics (DGX) is up more than +5% after reporting Q2 adjusted EPS of $2.62, better than the consensus of $2,58, and raising its full-year adjusted EPS estimate to $9.63-$9.83 from a previous estimate of $9.55-$9.80.
PACCAR Inc. (PCAR) is up more than +3% to lead gainers in the Nasdaq 100 after raising the lower end of its full-year capex estimate to $750 million-$800 million from a previous forecast of $700 million-$800 million.
Calix (CALX) is up more than +1% after reporting Q2 adjusted EPS of 33 cents, better than the consensus of 21 cents, and forecasting Q3 adjusted EPS of 31 cents-37 cents, stronger than the consensus of 23 cents.
