I'd go with Amgen, though recent developments at CRISPR make this a more interesting call than it would have been a year ago. CASGEVY's momentum keeps building and revenue is accelerating at a pace that keeps surprising analysts. Losses are narrowing as the commercial infrastructure scales. The pipeline beyond CASGEVY is expanding into cardiovascular disease and other areas, adding long-term optionality that is starting to look like an exciting second act for the company.
But CRISPR is still losing a substantial amount of money every quarter, and the entire investment case rests on continued commercial execution and pipeline success. For most investors, that is a lot of uncertainty to carry.
Amgen is the steadier, more predictable business. Multiple brands are growing at a double-digit rate, the full-year outlook has been raised, and the dividend keeps compounding year after year. Cheaper versions of some of its older drugs are entering the market, but Amgen has enough other growth drivers to absorb that pressure, and new drugs in development could add to the story down the road.

(RTTNews) - Amgen Inc.(AMGN) on Tuesday reported that the Phase 3 DeLLphi-305 study, which evaluated IMDELLTRA (tarlatamab-dlle) in combination with AstraZeneca PLC's(AZN) Imfinzi (durvalumab) versus durvalumab alone as first-line maintenance treatment for people with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC), met its primary endpoint of overall survival.
SCLC is one of the most aggressive forms of lung cancer, accounting for approximately 13-15% of the more than 2.6 million lung cancer cases diagnosed worldwide each year, as per company estimates. According to the company, median overall survival with the current standard of care is approximately one year, and only about 40% of patients receive second-line therapy.
IMDELLTRA and Trial Details
IMDELLTRA (tarlatamab-dlle) is a targeted immunotherapy engineered by Amgen researchers to bind to DLL3 on tumour cells and CD3 on T cells, activating T cells to kill DLL3-expressing SCLC cells.
IMDELLTRA is already approved by the FDA for the treatment of adult patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) with disease progression on or after platinum-based chemotherapy.
The DeLLphi-305 trial is a global phase 3, randomised, open-label clinical trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of IMDELLTRA in combination with durvalumab versus durvalumab alone as first-line maintenance treatment for patients with ES-SCLC who had not progressed after treatment with durvalumab, platinum-based chemotherapy, and etoposide.
Amgen sponsors the trial, with AstraZeneca providing partial funding and durvalumab.
Key Findings
According to the company, the phase 3 DeLLphi-305 study met its primary endpoint at a pre-specified interim analysis, showing a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in overall survival with IMDELLTRA (tarlatamab-dlle) plus Imfinzi (durvalumab) compared with durvalumab alone. In addition, the study showed a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in progression-free survival (PFS) and objective response rate (ORR) among patients treated with IMDELLTRA plus durvalumab.
The company said the safety profile of IMDELLTRA in combination with durvalumab was consistent with the known safety profiles of the individual medicines.
According to Amgen, DeLLphi-305 is the first Phase 3 study to include a Bispecific T-cell Engager (BiTE) therapy to demonstrate an overall survival benefit in the first-line maintenance setting for ES-SCLC.
Amgen plans to present detailed DeLLphi-305 data at an upcoming international medical congress and share them with regulatory authorities.

Two other components making moves today are Howmet Aerospace, trading down 5.6%, and Intel, trading up 5.6% on the day.
