SPYG, UBER, MS, AMGN: ETF Inflow Alert

AstraZeneca AZN reported first-quarter 2026 core earnings of $2.58 per share, which marginally beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.57. The bottom line rose 4% year over year on a reported basis and 5% at constant exchange rate (CER).
Total revenues of $15.29 billion rose 13% on a reported basis and 8% at CER, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $14.96 billion.
All growth rates mentioned below are on a year-over-year basis and at CER.
AZN shares began trading on the NYSE on Feb. 2. Earlier, in the United States, investors traded AstraZeneca through a different structure called American Depositary Shares (ADS) on Nasdaq.
AZN’s Product Sales & Alliance Revenues
Product sales increased 7% to $14.39 billion.
Alliance revenues rose 26% to $825 million, driven by continued revenue growth from partnered medicines. Alliance revenues include royalties and profit share from partnered medicines, such as Enhertu and Tezspire, in geographies where its partner books product sales.
AstraZeneca’s Key Oncology Drugs Drive Growth
Here, we have discussed AstraZeneca’s total drug revenues by including Alliance and Collaboration revenues in each revenue figure.
In Oncology, Tagrisso recorded revenues of $1.83 billion, up 5% year over year, driven by strong demand across all indications and regions, partly offset by tender outcomes and phasing in Emerging Markets, and seasonal variability in Japan ahead of fiscal year-end. Tagrisso sales missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.86 billion.
Lynparza's total revenues rose 2% to $781 million, driven by increased market share/demand growth for all approved indications and continued uptake in breast and prostate cancers across Europe. The growth was partially offset by the impact of generic launches in China and by VBP-associated stock compensation costs. The drug’s sales, however, beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $755 million.
AstraZeneca markets Lynparza in partnership with Merck MRK. During the quarter, the company did not record any milestone payment from partner Merck related to the drug.
Imfinzi generated sales of $1.69 billion in the quarter, up 30%, driven by strong demand growth across all regions from existing indications and new launches. Imfinzi sales, however, missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.79 billion. Sales of Calquence rose 17% to $923 million in the quarter. New breast cancer drug Truqap recorded $198 million in revenues in the first quarter of 2026, up 47% year over year on achieving peak share in second-line biomarker-altered metastatic breast cancer.
Newly approved drug Datroway, for which it has a partnership with Daiichi Sankyo, recorded revenues of $43 million in the quarter compared with $40 million in the previous quarter.
Year to date, the stock has risen 1.5% against the industry’s 1.6% decline.

AZN’s CVRM Segment Performance
In CVRM, Farxiga recorded product sales of $2.24 billion, down 3%, despite continued demand growth across chronic kidney disease and heart failure indications and SGLT2 class growth. However, sales were affected by generic competition in some markets like China, Japan and the United Kingdom and the VBP impact in China. Farxiga sales, however, beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.08 billion.
Brilinta/Brilique sales totaled $105 million in the reported quarter, down 67%, due to the generic launch in Europe and the United States.
Wainua recorded $51 million in product sales during the quarter, up 28% year over year, driven by strong demand growth in transthyretin amyloid polyneuropathy.
AZN’s R&I Segment Performance
In R&I, Symbicort sales declined 1% to $747 million as demand for an authorized generic was offset by price pressures in the United States and generic erosion in Europe. The drug’s sales, however, beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $734 million.
Fasenra recorded sales of $483 million in the quarter, up 11% year over year, driven by strong demand growth and market share gains. The recent launch for the EGPA indication also benefited sales in some countries. The drug’s sales beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $478 million.
Breztri recorded sales of $353 million, up 13% year over year, driven by a consistent share increase in a growing market.
Pulmicort sales declined 11% to $149 million due to continued generic competition in Emerging Markets.
New product Airsupra generated $37 million in product sales in the quarter, up 31% year over year. The product’s U.S. launch momentum remains strong.
New lupus drug, Saphnelo, recorded sales of $171 million, up 24% year over year, driven by demand growth in the U.S. market and ongoing launches in Europe and Established RoW.
Tezspire recorded total revenues of $303 million, up 34% year over year, driven by demand growth and launch uptake in multiple markets. AstraZeneca has a partnership with Amgen AMGN for Tezspire. Amgen records product sales in the United States, and AstraZeneca records its share of U.S. gross profits as Alliance revenues. AstraZeneca books product sales in markets outside the United States.

AZN’s Rare Disease, V&I and Other Segment
In the Rare Disease portfolio, Soliris sales fell 14% to $389 million due to conversion to Ultomiris and biosimilar erosion in Europe and the United States.
Ultomiris revenues amounted to $1.27 billion, up 18%, driven by demand growth across indications, geographic expansions in new markets and continued conversion from Soliris.
In Other Medicines, sales of Nexium declined 9% to $253 million.
In V&I Therapies, AstraZeneca recorded $116 million in revenues from Beyfortus, including alliance revenues received from partner Sanofi SNY and sales of the manufactured Beyfortus product to Sanofi. Revenues increased 3% year over year.
AZN Reiterates 2026 Guidance
AstraZeneca reconfirmed its financial guidance for 2026.
It continues to expect total revenues to grow by a mid-to-high single-digit percentage at CER.
Core EPS is expected to increase by a low double-digit percentage at CER.

AZN Q1 Earnings and Sales Beat, Key Drugs Offset Generic Pressure

(RTTNews) - It takes 10-15 years and billions of dollars for a pharma company to bring a drug to the market. Now imagine that after years of effort, time, and investment, a company is forced to pull the drug from the market because the data used to secure approval was manipulated.
That is the situation unfolding with ChemoCentryx's Tavneos, which received FDA approval in October 2021, for the adjunctive treatment of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis, a group of rare autoimmune diseases.
ChemoCentryx Inc., the developer of Tavneos, was acquired by Amgen Inc. (AMGN) in August 2022 for $4 billion in cash. The deal was then seen as a strategic move to strengthen Amgen's long-standing leadership in inflammation and nephrology, with Tavneos representing a first-in-class, transformative treatment for ANCA-associated vasculitis.
Now, the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) has determined that the results from the pivotal clinical study may have been manipulated to make Tavneos appear effective, when the original analysis did not support that conclusion. As a result, the agency now says there is no valid demonstration of Tavneos' efficacy for its approved use.
The CDER has proposed withdrawing the drug from the market and has issued a notice of opportunity for a hearing (NOOH) to the application holder of Tavneos, i.e., ChemoCentryx, which is now a subsidiary of Amgen (AMGN).
Adding to the concerns, the FDA in March of this year identified serious postmarketing safety issues, including vanishing bile duct syndrome (VBDS), in patients taking Tavneos and has been alerting patients and health care professionals. VBDS is characterized by progressive destruction and disappearance of the bile ducts in the liver, and this condition can slow or stop the flow of bile and may lead to permanent liver damage.
Tavneos will continue to remain on the market until Amgen/ChemoCentryx decide to pull the plug or the FDA Commissioner steps in to require its removal. If a hearing is sought, the FDA Commissioner will determine whether to hold a public hearing and, following such a hearing, decide whether to ultimately take the drug off the market.
Net sales of Tavneos were $459 million in full-year 2025, compared to $283 million in 2024. The drug is approved in multiple markets, including the United States, Australia, the European Union, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, among others.
AMGN is currently trading at $343.14, up 0.88%.

Did Amgen's Subsidiary Manipulate Data To Secure Tavneos Approval?

At Holdings Channel, we have reviewed the latest batch of the 72 most recent 13F filings for the 03/31/2026 reporting period, and noticed that Amgen Inc (Symbol: AMGN) was held by 35 of these funds. When hedge fund managers appear to be thinking alike, we find it is a good idea to take a closer look.
Before we proceed, it is important to point out that 13F filings do not tell the whole story, because these funds are only required to disclose their long positions with the SEC, but are not required to disclose their short positions. A fund making a bearish bet against a stock by shorting calls, for example, might also be long some amount of stock as they trade around their overall bearish position. This long component could show up in a 13F filing and everyone might assume the fund is bullish, but this tells only part of the story because the bearish/short side of the position is not seen.
Having given that caveat, we believe that looking at groups of 13F filings can be revealing, especially when comparing one holding period to another. Below, let's take a look at the change in AMGN positions, for this latest batch of 13F filers:

In terms of shares owned, we count 15 of the above funds having increased existing AMGN positions from 12/31/2025 to 03/31/2026, with 13 having decreased their positions and 3 new positions.
Looking beyond these particular funds in this one batch of most recent filers, we tallied up the AMGN share count in the aggregate among all of the funds which held AMGN at the 03/31/2026 reporting period (out of the 2,423 we looked at in total). We then compared that number to the sum total of AMGN shares those same funds held back at the 12/31/2025 period, to see how the aggregate share count held by hedge funds has moved for AMGN. We found that between these two periods, funds increased their holdings by 907,614 shares in the aggregate, from 13,674,492 up to 14,582,106 for a share count increase of approximately 6.64%. Notable Friday Option Activity: AMAT, AMGN, DPZ

Johnson & Johnson JNJ, via its Innovative Medicine segment, markets a broad portfolio of blockbuster therapies across key areas including neuroscience, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, immunology, oncology, pulmonary hypertension and infectious diseases.
J&J’s Innovative Medicine segment’s sales rose 7.4% on an operational basis
(excluding the impact of currency) to $15.43 billion in the first quarter of 2026. On an organic basis, sales rose 5.6% despite the loss of exclusivity (“LOE”) of the multi-billion-dollar product, Stelara. In the quarter, J&J’s 11 key brands delivered double-digit growth.
J&J’s Innovative Medicine Segment’s Q1 Performance
Higher sales of key products such as Darzalex, Tremfya and Erleada due to strong market growth and share gains drove the segment’s growth. New drugs like Carvykti, Tecvayli, Talvey, Rybrevant and Spravato contributed significantly to growth. The sales growth was partially dampened by a steeper-than-expected decline in sales of Stelara due to biosimilar erosion and lower sales of Imbruvica.
Sales of blockbuster multiple myeloma treatment, Darzalex, rose 22.5% year over year to $3.96 billion in the quarter. Erleada generated sales of $949.0 million in the quarter, up 23.1% year over year, while Tremfya recorded sales of $1.61 billion in the quarter, up 68.3%.
Stelara’s sales declined 62% in the first quarter, which was steeper than expected. Stelara’s LOE negatively impacted the Innovative Medicines segment’s growth by 920 basis points and total revenues by 540 basis points in the first quarter.
J&J lost U.S. patent exclusivity of Stelara in 2025. According to patent settlements and license agreements, Amgen AMGN, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Samsung Bioepis/Sandoz and some other companies launched Stelara biosimilars in 2025.
J&J’s Innovative Medicine segment recorded four consecutive quarters of sales of more than $15 billion despite the LOE of Stelara.
J&J’s Innovative Medicine Segment’s Outlook for 2026 and Beyond
In 2026, J&J expects accelerated growth in the Innovative Medicine segment despite Stelara LOE. The growth is expected to be driven by its key products, such as Darzalex, Tremfya, Spravato, Carvykti and Erleada, as well as increased contribution from new launches like Icotyde, Rybrevant and Inlexzo. J&J expects a more pronounced impact from new products in 2026 than in 2025.
However, as regards generic impact, in 2026, J&J expects the Stelara LOE impact to be more pronounced. In addition, J&J expects generic impact for both Simponi and Opsumit to begin in 2026 as the drugs lose patent protection.
J&J expects to generate $100 billion in revenues in 2026. It expects sales to continue to improve in 2027, with a “line of sight” to double-digit growth by the end of the decade. In fact, the company is already demonstrating this momentum—excluding Stelara, its total revenue grew at a double-digit rate in the first quarter.
Though J&J expects accelerated growth in both the Innovative Medicine and MedTech segments in 2026, the Innovative Medicine segment should be a critical franchise for driving company-wide top-line growth and profitability despite the Stelara LOE.
Overall, J&J’s Innovative Medicine segment remains resilient, with strong growth from key drugs and new launches offsetting Stelara’s LOE impact. Despite near-term biosimilar and patent headwinds, the segment is well-positioned to drive sustained long-term growth.
J&J Key Competitors
Immunology and oncology are J&J’s key areas. Other large drugmakers with a strong presence in the oncology market include Novartis, AstraZeneca AZN, AbbVie ABBV, Amgen, Merck, Bristol-Myers, Roche and Pfizer. In immunology, AbbVie, Amgen, Sanofi, AstraZeneca and Pfizer hold a strong position.
JNJ’s Price Performance, Valuation and Estimates
J&J’s shares have outperformed the industry over the past year. The stock has risen 43.4% in the past year compared with 17.5% appreciation of the industry.
