Amgen Inc. discovers, develops, manufactures, and delivers human therapeutics worldwide. The company's principal products include Enbrel to treat plaque psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriatic arthritis; Otezla for the treatment of adult patients with plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and oral ulcers associated with Behçet's disease; Prolia to treat postmenopausal women with osteoporosis; XGEVA for skeletal-related events prevention; Repatha, which reduces the risks of myocardial infarction, stroke, and coronary revascularization; Nplate for the treatment of patients with immune thrombocytopenia; KYPROLIS to treat patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma; Aranesp to treat a lower-than-normal number of red blood cells and anemia; EVENITY for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal for men and women; Vectibix to treat patients with wild-type RAS metastatic colorectal cancer; BLINCYTO for the treatment of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia; TEPEZZA to treat thyroid eye disease; and KRYSTEXXA for the treatment of chronic refractory gout. It also markets other products, including Neulasta, MVASI, AMJEVITA/AMGEVITA, TEZSPIRE, Parsabiv, Aimovig, LUMAKRAS/LUMYKRAS, EPOGEN, KANJINTI, TAVNEOS, RAVICTI, UPLIZNA and PROCYSBI. The company serves healthcare providers, including physicians or their clinics, dialysis centers, hospitals, and pharmacies. It distributes its products through pharmaceutical wholesale distributors, as well as direct-to-consumer channels. The company has collaboration agreements with AstraZeneca plc for the development and commercialization of TEZSPIRE; Novartis Pharma AG to develop and commercialize Aimovig; UCB for the development and commercialization of EVENITY; Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd. for rocatinlimab development and commercialization; and BeiGene, Ltd. for oncology products expansion and development. Amgen Inc. was incorporated in 1980 and is headquartered in Thousand Oaks, California.

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited RDY reported second-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings of 19 cents per American Depositary Share (ADS), which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 18 cents. The company reported earnings of 17 cents per ADS in the year-ago quarter.
Revenues grew 9.8% year over year to $992 million, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $983 million. The year-over-year improvement was primarily driven by growth in global generics revenues.
RDY’s Q2 Results in Detail
Dr. Reddy’s reported revenues under three segments — Global Generics, Pharmaceutical Services & Active Ingredients (PSAI) and Others.
Global Generics revenues totaled INR 78.5 billion, up 10% year over year. The increase was primarily driven by revenues from the acquired Nicotine Replacement Therapy portfolio in the Europe segment and sustained performance in RDY’s branded markets.
Dr. Reddy’s launched seven new products in North America during the reported quarter. However, revenues in the North America segment declined 13% primarily due to increased price erosion in certain key products, including Lenalidomide, partly offset by favorable forex and contribution from new product launches.
As of Sept. 30, 2025, a total of 75 generic filings were pending approval from the FDA, comprising 73 abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs) and two new drug applications. Of these 73 ANDAs, 45 are Para IVs.
Shares of Dr. Reddy’s have lost 7.6% year to date against the industry’s 0.6% growth.

PSAI revenues amounted to INR 9.5 billion, up 12% year over year. The improvement was driven by the launch of new active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and favorable forex. Growth in the pharmaceutical services business also contributed to the year-over-year increase.
Revenues in the Others segment totaled INR 0.1 billion, down 42% on a year-over-year basis.
Gross margin declined 492 basis points to 54.7% in the second quarter of fiscal 2026 due to higher price erosion in generics and reduced operating leverage.
Research and development (R&D) expenses of $70 million were down 15% year over year as investments in biosimilars tapered following the completion of major funding for the Abatacept biosimilar candidate. R&D spending instead focused on complex generics, biosimilars, APIs and novel biologics, particularly in oncology, peptides, and injectables.
Selling, general and administrative expenses totaled $298 million, up 15% year over year. The rise was primarily driven by increased sales and marketing investments aimed at enhancing existing brands and supporting new consumer healthcare initiatives.
Key Update From RDY
Last month, Dr. Reddy’s announced that the European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) issued a positive opinion recommending marketing authorization for AVT03 (denosumab), a proposed biosimilar to Amgen’s AMGN Prolia and Xgeva. The opinion will now be reviewed by the European Commission, which will make the final decision on marketing authorization across the European Economic Area, including the EU, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. A separate submission to the regulatory body in the United Kingdom is also planned.
The development of AVT03 stems from a 2024 partnership between Dr. Reddy’s and Alvotech ALVO, under which Alvotech is responsible for development and manufacturing, while Dr. Reddy’s handles regulatory and commercialization activities in key markets. Dr. Reddy’s holds exclusive commercialization rights in the United States and semi-exclusive rights in Europe and the United Kingdom. Once approved, the biosimilar will be marketed as Acvybra (60 mg/mL) and Xbonzy (70 mg/mL). Earlier this year, RDY and ALVO also announced the FDA’s acceptance of a regulatory filing seeking approval of AVT03 in the United States for review. AVT03 is a human monoclonal antibody developed by Alvotech.
Amgen's Prolia treats osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk of fractures, especially when other treatments are ineffective. AMGN’s Xgeva helps prevent fractures, spinal cord compression and the need for bone-related surgery or radiation in patients with multiple myeloma or bone metastases from solid tumors.
RDY and ALVO also have a partnership agreement to co-develop and commercialize a biosimilar candidate to Merck’s MRK blockbuster PD-L1 inhibitor, Keytruda (pembrolizumab), across the world. Per the agreement, RDY and ALVO will jointly share all costs for developing and manufacturing the biosimilar candidate to MRK’s Keytruda, which is approved for treating several types of cancer indications. Each company will hold the right to commercialize the product globally upon successful development.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Keytruda, Merck’s biggest revenue driver, generated sales worth $29.5 billion in 2024. Sales of the drug grew 6.6% year over year to $15.1 billion in the first half of 2025. Keytruda has played an instrumental role in driving Merck’s steady revenue growth in the past few years.
In September, Dr. Reddy’s signed an agreement to acquire the Stugeron portfolio from Johnson & Johnson, marking its entry into the anti-vertigo market. The deal includes the flagship Stugeron brand and its variants across 18 markets in APAC and EMEA, with India and Vietnam as key focus areas. Stugeron, a leading cinnarizine brand for vertigo treatment, enhances Dr. Reddy’s central nervous system portfolio and expands its presence in a growing therapeutic segment.

Noteworthy ETF Inflows: XLV, ABT, TMO, AMGN

On its third-quarterearnings conference callon Oct. 14, Johnson & Johnson JNJ discussed its preliminary outlook for 2026. J&J said that the consensus estimates for 2026, for both the top and the bottom lines, are too low.
In 2026, J&J expects top-line growth of more than 5% while the consensus estimate is around 4.6%. EPS growth is expected to be similar to revenue growth. J&J expects adjusted EPS to be around 5 cents more than the consensus of $11.39 per share. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 revenue growth is 4.8% while the same for EPS is pegged at $11.46 per share.
J&J expects growth in both the Innovative Medicine and MedTech segments to accelerate in 2026.
In 2026, J&J expects accelerated growth in the Innovative Medicine segment despite the loss of exclusivity (“LOE”) of blockbuster drug, Stelara. Several biosimilar versions of J&J’s multi-billion-dollar immunology drug, Stelara, have been launched in the United States in 2025.
According to patent settlements and license agreements, Amgen AMGN, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries TEVA, Samsung Bioepis/Sandoz and some other companies have already launched Stelara biosimilars this year. Stelara’s LOE negatively impacted the Innovative Medicines segment growth by 1070 basis points in the second quarter.
In the first nine months of 2025, Innovative Medicine Unit’s sales rose 4.5% on an operational basis to $44.64 billion.
Innovative Medicine Unit’s growth is expected to be driven by its key products, such as Darzalex, Tremfya, Spravato and Erleada, as well as new drugs like Carvykti, Tecvayli and Talvey. Recently launched products, including Tremfya in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Rybrevant plus Lazcluze in non-small cell lung cancer and the newly approved drug, Inlexzo in bladder cancer, are also expected to contribute.
In the MedTech segment, J&J expects better growth than 2025 levels, driven by increased adoption of newly launched products across all MedTech platforms and increased focus on higher-growth markets. J&J expects to launch products like Shockwave C2 Aero catheter and Tecnis intraocular lens in the United States, as well as make a regulatory submission for the OTTAVA robotic surgical system in 2026. These new products may also contribute to growth in 2026.
In the first nine months of 2025, MedTech’s sales rose 5.3% on an operational basis to $25.0 billion.
J&J’s 2026 guidance signals more than optimism—it highlights a deliberate pivot toward innovation-led growth in both segments. With a strong pipeline and robust product launches, J&J seems prepared to deliver beyond the Street’s current expectations.
JNJ’s Price Performance, Valuation and Estimates
J&J’s shares have outperformed the industry year to date. The stock has risen 34.0% in the year-to-date period compared with a 5.1% increase in the industry.

Notable Monday Option Activity: AMGN, ISRG, EXEL

(RTTNews) - Amgen (AMGN) and AstraZeneca announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved TEZSPIRE (tezepelumab-ekko) as an add-on maintenance treatment for inadequately controlled chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps or CRSwNP in adults and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older. TEZSPIRE is now the first and only biologic approved for CRSwNP that targets thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP).
The approval expands TEZSPIRE's indication to a second disease characterized by epithelial-driven inflammation.
CRSwNP affects approximately 320 million people globally. It is a complex inflammatory condition marked by persistent inflammation and benign polyp growths within the nasal cavity. Patients often suffer from airflow obstruction, nasal congestion, and a reduced sense of smell. For many, existing treatments—such as systemic and intranasal corticosteroids or repeated sinus surgeries—fail to provide lasting relief.
Regulatory applications for TEZSPIRE in CRSwNP are currently under review in Europe, China, Japan, and several other countries, based on data from the WAYPOINT trial.

Amgen And AstraZeneca's TEZSPIRE Approved For Epithelial-Driven Nasal Inflammation

How Will Mounjaro and Zepbound Sales Aid Lilly's Upcoming Q3 Results?
Eli Lilly is a dominant player in the cardiometabolic space, all thanks to the encouraging uptake for its blockbuster GLP-1 drugs — Mounjaro (for type II diabetes [T2D]) and Zepbound (for obesity). Though both products have been on the market for a little over three years, they now account for more than half of the company’s topline. Investors will be most keen to know the sales numbers of these two drugs when Lilly reports third-quarter results on Oct. 30, before the opening bell.
Notably, Mounjaro is the market leader in new prescriptions within T2D incretin analogs, enjoying a market share of 50% in the United States. Zepbound also holds a leading market share in the anti-obesity market, with 75% of total patients taking Zepbound. This is mainly due to the improved supply of both drugs in the country as a result of ramped-up production. Sales of Mounjaro and Zepbound have also benefited from launches in new international markets.
We believe that deeper penetration in the U.S. market and increased uptake in international markets are likely to have driven the growth of both drugs in the third quarter of 2025. Our model estimates for Mounjaro and Zepbound sales are pegged at $5.33 billion and $3.46 billion, respectively, for the to-be-reported quarter.
Beyond cardiometabolic health, Lilly’s broader portfolio — including the oncology drug Verzenio and immunology drug Taltz — also continues to deliver steady growth. The company’s recently launched drugs, such as Omvoh and Ebglyss in immunology, Jaypirca in oncology and Kisunla in neuroscience, have all been contributing to top-line growth.
LLY’s Peers in the Obesity Space
According to research conducted by Goldman Sachs, the obesity market in the United States is expected to reach $100 billion by 2030. Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk presently dominate this space.
Mounjaro and Zepbound directly compete with Novo Nordisk’s semaglutide medicines, Ozempic for diabetes and Wegovy for obesity. Like Lilly, Novo also generates a substantial portion of revenues from both drugs.
Several other companies, like Amgen and Viking Therapeutics, are also making rapid progress in the obesity space. Amgen has launched a broad phase III program for its dual GIPR/GLP-1 agonist, MariTide, targeting obesity and diabetes. Meanwhile, Viking Therapeutics is progressing two late-stage studies of its injectable VK2735 and reported mixed mid-stage data on the oral version in August, prompting a sharp stock decline.
LLY’s Price Performance, Valuation and Estimates
Shares of Lilly have outperformed the industry year to date.
From a valuation standpoint, Eli Lilly is expensive. Based on the price/earnings (P/E) ratio, the company’s shares currently trade at 28.29 times forward earnings, higher than its industry’s average of 15.60. However, the stock is trading below its five-year mean of 34.54.
The bottom-line estimate for 2025 has declined from $23.15 to $23.01 per share, while that for 2026 has fallen from $30.82 to $30.79 over the past 30 days.
