Noteworthy Thursday Option Activity: OZK, AMC, BAC

Investors, especially traders, are familiar with Reddit RDDT and have helped increase the social media company’s popularity by engaging in its infamous community-led platforms, such as WallStreetBets, which has been instrumental in creating the meme stock phenomenon.
We can all recount some of the most famous meme stocks that often surge due to heightened popularity on Reddit, with GameStop GME and AMC Entertainment AMC coming to mind.
Over the years, this attention has made Reddit one of the fastest-growing media outlets, given its niche as a destination for meaningful social news aggregation.
Known as the “front page of the internet”, it’s no surprise that Reddit stock has been one of the hottest IPO’s since going public in March of last year, with RDDT now up an exhilarating +300%.
Better still, the call for more upside is starting to be justified as Reddit’s strong user engagement and explosive advertising growth are starting to magnify its future earnings potential.

Advertising Revenue Boom
Like most social media companies, including giants like Meta Platforms META, Reddit derives the majority of its revenue from advertising, and most recently reported an 84% increase in ad revenue of $465 million during Q2. This was attributed to a 50% increase in active advertisers, with Reddit also posting a 47% spike in average revenue per user (ARPU) at $4.53.
Lifting advertiser interest and its internal operations has been Reddit Pixel, CAPI, and Smarty.io (AI-Powered Automation), which are ad tools that are boosting and integrating user conversion and tracking data. Overall, Reddit’s Q2 sales soared over 77% to $499.63 million.
Notably, Reddit is scheduled to release Q3 results on Tuesday, November 4th, with Zacks projections calling for its top line to expand nearly 58% to $549.69 million compared to $348.35 million in the prior year quarter (Current Qtr below).
More intriguing, Reddit’s annual sales are now expected to climb over 57% in fiscal 2025 and are projected to soar another 34% in FY26 to $2.74 billion.

Strong User Engagement Metrics
Most compelling about Reddit’s strong user engagement metrics is an expanding global base, as international daily active users (DAU) increased 32% during Q2 to 60.1 million. It’s noteworthy that this drove a more than 70% surge in global revenue, with total DAUs increasing 21% to 110.4 million.
It’s also important to point out that Reddit’s log-out users were at 61.1 million, and are growing faster than its log-in users, suggesting its reach is expanding beyond its core community.
Reddit Surges Past The Profitability Line
Getting to Reddit’s earnings potential, Q2 2025 marked the company’s first profitable quarter despite previously reporting positive earnings per share (EPS) in other quarters. However, in terms of a dollar amount, Reddit’s adjusted net income swung into the black for the first time at $89 million from a loss of $10 million in Q2 2024.
Gross margins also hit a new peak of 90.8%, with Reddit launching a high-margin data licensing business to complement its ad revenue model in which it sells access to vast troves of user-generated content for AI training and analytics.
Furthermore, many analysts predict Reddit will turn an annual net profit of over $150 million this year, compared to a net loss of $484 million in 2024.

Reddit is projected to post high-double-digit EPS growth for the foreseeable future, with Q2 earnings of $0.45 a share crushing expectations of $0.20 and skyrocketing from an adjusted loss of -$0.06 per share a year ago. Even better is that FY25 and FY26 EPS revisions have trended noticeably higher over the last 90 days.

RDDT Price Target & Analyst Upgrades
Based on short-term price targets offered by 25 analysts, the current Average Zacks Price Target of $223.72 a share suggests 8% upside for Reddit stock.
That said, RDDT is starting to receive more bullish forecasts based on Reddit's growth trajectory, with JMP Securities and Piper Sandler recently lifting their price targets to street-highs of $300 and $290, respectively.

Bottom Line
Having an expansive user base, Reddit’s platform is capable of generating lucrative advertising revenue, which is being glorified by better monetization per user. Keeping this in mind, RDDT could have more room to run as Reddit looks poised to grow into its valuation.

Bull of the Day: Reddit (RDDT)

FuboTV has more than doubled this year, but things should get even better when Disney becomes a 70% shareholder in the company.
The market may be rallying, but there are still plenty of stocks trading for low price tags. Most of the stocks trading for less than $5 will stay that way. This is a risky pool of investments. However, you shouldn't be surprise if some of the biggest gainers come from that same basket of low-priced stocks.
AMC Entertainment (NYSE: AMC) and FuboTV (NYSE: FUBO) are two stocks that can potentially deliver market-thumping returns in the coming years. Let's take a closer look at these two stocks with market caps above $1 billion and price points below $5 that I think are worth buying in October.

1. AMC Entertainment
It's been a rough few years for the country's largest movie theater chain. AMC stock is declining sharply for the fourth consecutive year, even though 2025's slide of 21% is tame by previous year standards. The shares have plummeted 99.6% since peaking four summers ago.
A quick look at AMC's horror movie of a stock chart may lead you to believe that the bearish narrative for movie theater stocks is true. Folks aren't going to the corner multiplex anymore. The improving value proposition of high-def TVs, along with the proliferation of premium streaming services, isn't giving exhibitors a shot to stand out.
It's a predictable tragedy, but it's also not true. Box office receipts in the U.S. have moved higher in four of the last five years coming out of the pandemic. Year-to-date ticket sales are 4% higher than they were a year earlier.
AMC's latest quarter was promising. Revenue soared a better-than-expected 36% to $1.4 billion, as a 26% increase in attendance was enhanced by an uptick in spending per moviegoer. It nearly broke even on an adjusted basis. Analysts were bracing for a loss. Its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) skyrocketed nearly fivefold.
There's no excusing AMC's missteps. Management went all in on the meme stock feeding frenzy, diluting shareholders and failing to focus on operations. Its closest publicly traded rival has been profitable for two years, with the shares nearly tripling over the past five years. However, the miscues of the past could be a curtain call for today's opportunistic investors.
AMC may have bloated its share count when the going was good, but you can buy the stock at an enterprise value that is less than 2 times trailing revenue today. Its share count still needs to be pared back, but its long-term debt is declining for the fifth year in a row. With a strong slate of movies coming out this quarter, AMC doesn't have a reason to fail now.
2. FuboTV
Unlike AMC, FuboTV has more than doubled this year. The provider of a sports-centric live TV streaming service soared in January when Disney (NYSE: DIS) gave Fubo a shot at a fairy-tale ending. Disney and two other media stocks were gearing up to launch a sports platform that would combine the digital assets of the three into a single package. Fubo persuaded a judge to block the launch of the service, and the three media stocks decided to settle.
They paid $220 million to Fubo for dropping the case, a surprising settlement because the three-headed sports juggernaut was disbanded days later. Disney also agreed to take a majority stake in Fubo, handing over the larger Hulu + Live TV streaming to Fubo. The combination with Disney is expected to close in the first half of next year.
The settlement fortified FuboTV's balance sheet. The arrival of Disney's more popular live TV streaming service should fortify the business itself next year. Disney will have a 70% stake in the company, and that should help continue to lift the profile of the fledgling platform in the eyes of the investing community. Put another way, FuboTV has a lot of ways to win this game.

Noteworthy Monday Option Activity: FDS, SWK, AMC

Key Points
AMC broke even in Q2, losing no money -- or at least not much.
The company also generated substantial free cash flow in the quarter.
For the first half of 2025, however, AMC stock remains free cash flow negative.
Shares of meme stock and theater operator AMC Entertainment (NYSE: AMC) jumped 3.8% through 12:10 p.m. ET Monday after exceeding expectations for second-quarter earnings.
Heading into today's report, analysts forecast AMC to lose $0.09 per share (adjusted for one-time items) on sales of just over $1.3 billion. In fact, AMC broke even with a loss of $0, and sales were just under $1.4 billion.

AMC Q2 earnings
AMC actually did lose some money. (Only the adjusted results showed breakeven numbers.) When calculated according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), AMC lost $0.01 per share -- which was still much better than the $0.10 per share the company lost in last year's Q2.
The best news of all, though, is that free cash flow for the quarter turned positive, with AMC generating positive cash profits of $88.9 million in the quarter. CEO Adam Aron argued this result "showcased the impressive operating leverage inherent in our business," and expressed the hope that this is "a harbinger of things to come."
Is AMC stock a buy now?
Before you get too excited about AMC stock, however, there are some caveats to consider:
First and foremost is that, while AMC generated cash in Q2, it burned a lot of cash in Q1, such that FCF for the first six months of this year is still deeply negative: $328.1 million -- and actually, a bit worse than the company was doing one year ago. To offset the cash burn, AMC is still taking on new debt ($240 million in Q2) and converting old debt to dilutive stock ($143 million).
Long story short, breakeven is good. Profitable and FCF-positive would be better. AMC stock is still a sell for me.
