1. E.l.f. Beauty: Still a beauty queen
E.l.f. Beauty (NYSE: ELF) stock has been volatile over the past year, hurt by tariffs, but its growth story remains intact. The company has done a fabulous job over the past few years, driving sales and taking market share with its namesake brand in the mass cosmetics space.
Its introduction of cheaper products similar to popular prestige brand offerings and influencer marketing has resonated with younger demographics. This helped the company increase distribution into new retail outlets and expand its shelf space.
Now the company has a big growth opportunity following its acquisition of celebrity Hailey Bieber's Rhode brand.
Bieber, who will stay on as Rhode's chief creative officer, helped build Rhode into an upscale skincare brand with sales over $200 million, with just a handful of products sold on its website. E.l.f. will now have the ability to plug the brand into its influencer marketing machine, expand its product portfolio, and increase its distribution. That should lead to strong growth in the coming years, and is the main reason investors should jump on the stock as it's more than 50% off its highs.
2. DraftKings: A bet worth making
DraftKings (NASDAQ: DKNG) stock has been roiled by the rise of prediction markets, which essentially offer futures contracts that function as sports bets without state oversight. Instead of just pouting about this somewhat legally questionable new competition, DraftKings has decided to join them with its own prediction offering.
However, the fights over sports betting on these prediction markets are far from over, as it bypasses important state tax revenue, and there is a bipartisan bill that would bar prediction markets from offering contracts that act as sports bets. That would be huge win for DraftKings if it were signed into law.
As the company waits, though, it has recently introduced a super app that brings together its sportsbook, online gaming, lottery, and prediction market offerings. Notably, the app will only display what offerings are legal in the state a user is currently in.
While revenue growth is expected to slow to 11% this year as it navigates the predictions market threat, DraftKings still predicts it will reach 30% EBITDA margins by 2030 (up from 10% last year), which would represent huge profitability growth in the coming years.
Between DraftKings' margin expansion opportunities and the potential for sports contracts to be barred on prediction sites, it's worth betting on DraftKings with the stock down nearly 50%.
3. RH: Looking to be the dominant global player in luxury furniture
One of the hardest hit industries the past few years has been the home furnishings and furniture industry. There was a big pull forward in demand during the COVID-19 pandemic as people spent more time at home, while tariffs have hit the industry particularly hard.
Despite that, RH (NYSE: RH), formerly known as Restoration Hardware, was able to grow its revenue and EBITDA as it embarks on an aggressive expansion strategy, both in the U.S. and in international markets. Importantly, it also turned free cash flow positive last year despite building out new, expensive showrooms.
The company is working to position itself as a luxury home brand on par with luxury fashion brands. This year, it is introducing a major new brand extension, called RH Estates, to tackle the traditional furniture preferences of many luxury home owners. It made several small acquisitions to help create bespoke, custom-made collections to launch this new effort.
This should also help with its European expansion, where these styles are more prevalent with upscale customers. RH predicts that RH Estates will become its biggest growth and highest-margin business in the coming years.
While the furniture industry is in a rough spot, now could be a great time to buy RH stock as it works to become a global luxury furniture leader.

Samsara delivered a strong fourth-quarter beat, coming in 38% above EPS expectations. Revenue reached $444 million versus the $422 million consensus, representing continued momentum in a challenging macro environment for industrial spending.
Annual Recurring Revenue hit $1.89 billion, up 30% year-over-year, with $432 million in net new ARR added in the quarter. Notably, this marks three consecutive quarters of accelerating net new ARR growth.
Guidance was constructive across the board. For Q1, the company sees revenue of $454–456 million versus the $445 million consensus, implying 24% year-over-year growth. The bigger story was the full-year fiscal 2027 outlook: revenue guidance of $1.97 billion topped the $1.91 billion consensus, with EPS guided to $0.65–0.69 versus the $0.57 expected.
Management also outlined a path to 19% operating margins. This is a signal that this is no longer just a growth story, but an increasingly profitable and scalable one.
Estimates Head Higher
Analyst estimates have been moving steadily higher in the wake of earnings. For the current year, estimates have risen from $0.57 to $0.68 over the past 30 days. Next year's estimates have moved from $0.71 to $0.84 over the same period, an 18% increase.
On the analyst front, the institutional community remains broadly bullish. Wells Fargo, Piper Sandler, and Keybanc all reiterate Overweight ratings with price targets ranging from $39 to $46. Goldman Sachs reiterates a Buy and raised its target to $41 from $36.
The AI and Data Moat
One of the most underappreciated elements of the Samsara story is the scale of its data infrastructure. The platform now processes 25 trillion data points annually, which is a figure that creates a compounding competitive advantage as the company deploys AI across its product suite.
AI is becoming central to the platform narrative. Products like Safety Coach use this data to deliver real-time driver coaching and risk scoring, and management has outlined a roadmap toward broader automation agents built on top of this foundation. The more data the platform ingests, the smarter and more differentiated the AI layer becomes.
The Technical Take
The stock started trending upward early in 2023, moving from under $10 to $61 early in 2025. Since then the stock had dropped about 50% and started to consolidate around the $30-35 level.
The cloud related sell off took the stock down to three-year lows early this year, but it has rallied since reporting earnings.
The stock is sensitive to moving averages and trades well off those MA's. Let us look at those levels:
21-day: $32.20
50-day: $29.70
200-day: $35.50
The bulls will want to get price above that 200-day and the Fibonacci resistance level at $38. If that level is broken and price holds above $40 long term Fibonacci extension targets indicate price targets at $60.

RH's fourth quarter was a clear miss. The company reported adjusted EPS of $1.53 against expectations of $2.21, a 31% shortfall. Revenue came in at $843 million versus the $872 million consensus. Management cited approximately $30 million in revenue headwinds from tariff-related resourcing that drove higher-than-expected backorder and special-order balances.
On the margin front there was a silver lining, with adjusted EBITDA margin of 17.7% improved modestly from 17.1% a year ago, and adjusted operating margin ticked up to 11.5% from 11.3%. But the headline miss and the forward guidance overshadowed any positive margin read-through.
For Q1, RH guided revenue growth of -2% to -4% against a consensus expectation of +8%, a dramatic swing in the wrong direction. Adjusted EBITDA margin guidance of 14–15% reflects approximately 420 basis points of drag from pre-opening and startup costs tied to international expansion.
For the full year, RH guided revenue growth of 4–8% versus the 9.6% consensus, with adjusted EBITDA margins of 14–16%. Again, weighed down by roughly 270 basis points of international expansion costs.
The message to investors is clear: the next several quarters will be a show-me period as the company absorbs heavy investment costs before the international buildout begins to contribute meaningfully.
Estimates and Price Targets Fall After Earnings
Ugly revisions to the down side across all time frames. Analysts slashed the current quarter from $0.88 to -$1.49. For the current year, numbers have been taken down from $10.22 to $7.66.
Analyst price target cuts have been swift and broad following the print.
Goldman Sachs reiterated a Sell rating, cutting its target to $88 from $101. Citigroup reiterated Neutral and cut to $150 from $183. Guggenheim cut to $200 from $275 while maintaining its Buy. Barclays cut to $202 from $283 but held its Overweight.
The wide dispersion in price targets reflects genuine uncertainty about how the international expansion plays out, but the direction of revisions is uniformly lower. And Goldman's Sell at $88 is a reminder that meaningful downside remains on the table.
Technical Take

21-day: $130
50-day: $166
200-day: $188
Those moving averages seem unachievable unless the earnings story turns. Looking to the downside the COVID low was in the $75 area, a spot the bears will no doubt be looking for.

RH is dealing with a perfect storm of a big earnings miss, a Q1 guide that shocked to the downside, tariff-related disruptions, and a margin profile that will be under pressure for several quarters. This growth was largely fueled by its explosive AI business, with AI revenues reaching $8.4 billion, up 106% year over year and surpassing expectations, driven by strong demand for AI networking and custom AI accelerators. This performance confirms Broadcom's position not just as a participant but as a dominant infrastructure player in the AI boom.
With AI demand ramping up, Broadcom further expects its fiscal second-quarter 2026 revenues to reach around $22 billion, with AI semiconductor revenues expected to hit $10.7 billion. At the same time, Broadcom expects an adjusted EBITDA margin of roughly 68% of projected revenues, indicating solid operational efficiency and strong pricing power. Notably, Broadcom's fiscal first-quarter adjusted EBITDA of $13.1 billion already represented 68% of revenues.
Additionally, in the fiscal first quarter, Broadcom produced $8.01 billion in free cash flow, equivalent to 41% of its revenues. This robust cash generation gives the company significant flexibility to reduce debt, reinvest in growth, reward shareholders through dividends, or repurchase shares.

Samsara and RH have been highlighted as Zacks Bull and Bear of the Day

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) on Wednesday closed up +0.72%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DOWI) (DIA) closed up +0.48%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) closed up +1.18%. June E-mini S&P futures (ESM26) rose +0.74%, and June E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQM26) rose +1.15%.
Stock indexes extended Tuesday’s sharp rally on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones Industrials posting a 2-week high on mounting optimism that the war in the Middle East is nearing a conclusion. President Trump said Wednesday that he foresaw the US ending the war with Iran within two to three weeks. Mr. Trump said Iran has asked for a ceasefire, which he will consider when the Strait of Hormuz is “open, free and clear.” Meanwhile, the US and Israeli forces kept up their bombardment of Iran, while Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE all reported attacks by Iran, with Qatar saying a fuel oil tanker was struck in Qatari waters.

Stocks remained higher on Wednesday amid better-than-expected US economic news on Mar ADP employment, Feb retail sales, and Mar ISM manufacturing activity.
US MBA mortgage applications fell -10.4% in the week ended March 27, with the purchase mortgage sub-index down -2.6% and the refinancing sub-index down -17.3%. The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage rose +14 bp to a 7-month high of 6.57% from 6.43% in the prior week.
The US Mar ADP employment change rose by +62,000, stronger than expectations of +40,000.
US Feb retail sales rose +0.6% m/m, stronger than expectations of +0.5% m/m, and Feb retail sales ex-autos rose +0.5% m/m, stronger than expectations of +0.3% m/m.
The US Mar ISM manufacturing index unexpectedly rose +0.3 to 52.7, stronger than expectations of a decline to 52.3 and the strongest pace of expansion in 3.5 years. The Mar ISM prices paid sub-index rose +7.8 to a 3.75-year high of 78.3, stronger than expectations of 74.0.
Hawkish comments on Wednesday from St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem were bearish for stocks, as he said risks are rising to both inflation and employment and added, "I expect the current setting of the policy rate will remain appropriate for some time."
President Trump will give a televised address to the country at 9 pm Eastern time on Wednesday night to provide an “important update” on Iran. He said Iran could still reach a deal with the US, but that an agreement with Iran isn’t a prerequisite for ending the war.
Crude oil prices (CLK26) fell more than -1% on Wednesday on hopes for an end to the Iran war and a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that the UAE is preparing to help the US and other allies open the Strait of Hormuz by force and is lobbying for a United Nations Security Council resolution authorizing such action.
The markets are discounting a 1% chance for a +25 bp FOMC rate hike at the April 28-29 policy meeting.
Overseas stock markets settled higher on Wednesday. The Euro Stoxx 50 climbed to a 2-week high and closed up +2.93%. China's Shanghai Composite rose to a 1.5-week high and closed up +1.46%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 closed up sharply by +5.24%.
Interest Rates
June 10-year T-notes (ZNM6) on Wednesday closed down by -2 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield rose by +0.6 bp to 4.323%. June T-notes fell from a 1.5-week high on Wednesday, and the 10-year T-note yield moved higher from a 1.5-week low of 4.257%. T-notes gave up an early advance on Wednesday due to stronger-than-expected US ADP, retail sales, and ISM manufacturing reports. Also, price pressures weighed on T-notes after the Mar ISM prices paid sub-index rose more than expected to a 3.75-year high. In addition, hawkish comments on Wednesday from St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem undercut T-note prices when he said, "I expect the current setting of the policy rate will remain appropriate for some time."
T-notes initially moved higher today on Wednesday after WTI crude oil prices fell more than -1%, easing inflation expectations. Also, optimism that a resolution to the Iran war will lead to lower energy prices, allowing the Fed to cut interest rates, is supportive of T-note prices.
European government bond yields moved lower on Wednesday. The 10-year German bund yield dropped to a 2-week low of 2.931% and finished down -1.8 bp to 2.986%. The 10-year UK gilt yield fell to a 2-week low of 4.777% and finished down -8.6 bp to 4.830%.
The Eurozone Mar S&P manufacturing PMI was revised upward by +0.2 to 51.6 from the previously reported 51.4, the strongest pace of expansion in 3.75 years.
The Eurozone Feb unemployment rate unexpectedly rose +0.1 to 6.2%, showing a weaker labor market than expectations of no change at 6.1%.
Swaps are discounting a 49% chance of a +25 bp ECB rate hike at its next policy meeting on April 30.
US Stock Movers
Chip makers and AI-infrastructure stocks moved sharply higher on Wednesday, lifting the overall market. Western Digital (WDC) closed up more than +10% to lead gainers in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, and Sandisk (SNDK) closed up more than +9%. Also, Intel (INTC) closed up more than +8%, and Seagate Technology Holdings Plc (STX) and Marvell Technology (MRVL) closed up more than +7%. In addition, Lam Research (LRCX), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), KLA Corp (KLAC), Applied Materials (AMAT), and ASML Holding NV (ASML) closed up more than +3%.

Energy producers and energy service providers retreated on Wednesday as WTI crude oil fell by more than -1%. Exxon Mobil (XOM) closed down more than -5%, and Chevron (CVX) and Occidental Petroleum (OXY) closed down more than -4%. Also, Diamondback Energy (FANG) closed down more than -3% to lead losers in the Nasdaq 100, and Phillips 66 (PSX) and Devon Energy (DVN) closed down more than -3%. In addition, APA Corp (APA), ConocoPhillips (COP), Halliburton (HAL), Marathon Petroleum (MPC), and Valero Energy (VLO) closed down more than -2%.
Target Hospitality (TH) closed up more than +36% after securing a multi-year contract worth over $550 million to construct and provide hospitality services for a data center development in Texas.
nCino (NCNO) closed up more than +10% after forecasting 2027 subscription revenue of $569 million to $573 million, better than the consensus of $568.5 million.
Boeing (BA) closed up more than +4% to lead gainers in the Dow Jones Industrials after Wells Fargo Securities initiated coverage on the stock with an overweight rating and a price target of $250.
Eli Lilly & Co (LLY) closed up more than +3% after the FDA approved the company’s obesity pill, Foundayo, under the agency’s National Priority Voucher pilot program.
Oric Pharmaceuticals (ORIC) closed down more than 40% after announcing an update on its rinzimetostat program, which JPMorgan Chase said was based on a too-small sample and a short follow-up, making it unreasonable to expect clear efficacy differentiation at this stage.
RH (RH) closed down more than -19% after forecasting 2027 revenue to be down -2% to -4%, much weaker than the consensus of an +8.1% increase.
Nike (NKE) closed down more than -15% to lead losers in the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrials after forecasting Q4 revenue to be down -2% to -4% and saying its turnaround efforts are taking longer than originally planned.
Hasbro (HAS) closed down by more than -4% after it said it discovered unauthorized access in its network on Saturday and has taken certain systems offline.

Stocks Settle Higher on Hopes for Conclusion to Iran War

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) today is up +0.97%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DOWI) (DIA) is up +0.86%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) is up +1.45%. June E-mini S&P futures (ESM26) are up +0.96%, and June E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQM26) are up +1.47%.
Stock indexes are extending Tuesday’s sharp rally today, with the Dow Jones Industrials posting a 2-week high on mounting optimism that the war in the Middle East is nearing a conclusion. President Trump said he foresaw the US ending the war with Iran within two to three weeks. Mr. Trump said Iran has asked for a ceasefire, which he will consider when the Strait of Hormuz is “open, free and clear.” Meanwhile, the US and Israeli forces kept up their bombardment of Iran, while Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE all reported attacks by Iran, with Qatar saying a fuel oil tanker was struck in Qatari waters.

Stocks remained higher today on better-than-expected US economic news on Mar ADP employment, Feb retail sales, and Mar ISM manufacturing activity.
US MBA mortgage applications fell -10.4% in the week ended March 27, with the purchase mortgage sub-index down -2.6% and the refinancing sub-index down -17.3%. The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage rose +14 bp to a 7-month high of 6.57% from 6.43% in the prior week.
The US Mar ADP employment change rose by +62,000, stronger than expectations of +40,000.
US Feb retail sales rose +0.6% m/m, stronger than expectations of +0.5% m/m, and Feb retail sales ex-autos rose +0.5% m/m, stronger than expectations of +0.3% m/m.
The US Mar ISM manufacturing index unexpectedly rose +0.3 to 52.7, stronger than expectations of a decline to 52.3 and the strongest pace of expansion in 3.5 years. The Mar ISM prices paid sub-index rose +7.8 to a 3.75-year high of 78.3, stronger than expectations of 74.0.
Hawkish comments today from St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem were bearish for stocks, as he said risks are rising to both inflation and employment and added, "I expect the current setting of the policy rate will remain appropriate for some time."
President Trump will give a televised address to the country at 9 pm Eastern time tonight to provide an “important update” on Iran. He said Iran could still reach a deal with the US, but that an agreement with Iran isn’t a prerequisite for ending the war.
Crude oil prices (CLK26) are down more than -2% today on hopes for an end to the Iran war and a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The Wall Street Journal reported today that the UAE is preparing to help the US and other allies open the Strait of Hormuz by force and is lobbying for a United Nations Security Council resolution authorizing such action.
The markets are discounting a 1% chance for a +25 bp FOMC rate hike at the April 28-29 policy meeting.
Overseas stock markets are higher today. The Euro Stoxx 50 climbed to a 2-week high and is up +2.60%. China's Shanghai Composite rose to a 1.5-week high and closed up +1.46%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 closed up sharply by +5.24%.
Interest Rates
June 10-year T-notes (ZNM6) today are up by +2 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield is down -0.6 bp to 4.311%. June T-notes climbed to a 1.5-week high today, and the 10-year T-note yield fell to a 1.5-week low of 4.257%. T-notes are moving higher today as WTI crude oil is down more than -2%, easing inflation expectations. Also, optimism that a resolution to the Iran war will lead to lower energy prices, allowing the Fed to cut interest rates, is supporting T-note prices.
However, T-notes gave up most of their gains on stronger-than-expected US ADP, retail sales, and ISM manufacturing reports. Also, hawkish comments today from St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem undercut T-note prices when he said, "I expect the current setting of the policy rate will remain appropriate for some time."
European government bond yields are moving lower today. The 10-year German bund yield dropped to a 2-week low of 2.931% and is down -0.5 bp to 2.999%. The 10-year UK gilt yield fell to a 2-week low of 4.777% and is down -6.5 bp to 4.851%.
The Eurozone Mar S&P manufacturing PMI was revised upward by +0.2 to 51.6 from the previously reported 51.4, the strongest pace of expansion in 3.75 years.
The Eurozone Feb unemployment rate unexpectedly rose +0.1 to 6.2%, showing a weaker labor market than expectations of no change at 6.1%.
Swaps are discounting a 49% chance of a +25 bp ECB rate hike at its next policy meeting on April 30.
US Stock Movers
Chip makers and AI-infrastructure stocks are climbing today and lifting the overall market. Western Digital (WDC) is up more than +11% to lead gainers in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, and Intel (INTC) and Sandisk (SNDK) are up more than +9%. Also, Micron Technology (MU) is up more than +8%, and Seagate Technology Holdings Plc (STX) is up more than 7%. In addition, Marvell Technology (MRVL) is up more than +6%, and Applied Materials (AMAT) and ASML Holding NV (ASML) are up more than +4%. Finally, ARM Holdings Plc (ARM), KLA Corp (KLAC), Lam Research (LRCX), and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) are up more than +3%.

RH (RH) Q4 2025 Earnings Call Transcript

Chicago, IL – April 1, 2026 – Zacks Equity Research shares Lumentum LITE as the Bull of the Day and D-Wave Quantum QBTS as the Bear of the Day. In addition, Zacks Equity Research provides analysis on —NIKE NKE and RH RH,
Here is a synopsis of all three stocks:
I last wrote about Lumentum as the Bull of the Day on February 11 after the company delivered a very strong beat-and-raise quarter and shares launched to new highs near $600.
Since then, LITE as etched more new highs near $800. There have also been many exciting industry developments that suggest estimates for this maker of optical systems for NVIDIA datacenter networking will keep going higher.
As I wrote in February, "The growth showcases the strength of the company’s plans for both optical components and systems in a world where NVIDIA is building next-gen GPU rack-scale datacenter architectures based on silicon photonics connectivity, switching, and networking."
I also noted CEO Michael Hurlston's extreme optimism on theearnings callwhere he said...
“Our forward guidance calls for over 85% year-over-year revenue growth, yet we are only at the starting line for two substantial opportunities: optical circuit switches (OCS) and co-packaged optics (CPO)."
CPO is the general category of lasers being built into the designs of NVIDIA GPU systems, or what Jensen calls "extreme co-design." OCS is a network device that establishes direct, physical paths of light between ports, allowing data to stay in the optical domain without Optical-Electrical-Optical (OEO) conversion.
OCS acts as a software-controlled reconfigurable fiber patch panel, reducing latency and power consumption in data centers and AI clusters by bypassing traditional electrical switches.
NVIDIA Locks Down All the Lasers
On March 2, Jensen & Co. announced $2 billion investment and partnership deals with both LITE and fellow laser leader Coherent (COHR) to "advance the frontier" of advanced optics technologies, including manufacturing capacity and R&D, to enable next-generation AI infrastructure and systems designs.
The nonexclusive multiyear strategic agreement includes an NVIDIA multibillion purchase commitment and future capacity access rights for advanced laser components. In addition, NVIDIA is investing $2 billion in Lumentum to support R&D, future capacity and operations as the company builds out its U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities in a new fab.
“AI has reinvented computing and is driving the largest computing infrastructure buildout in history,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Together with Lumentum, NVIDIA is advancing the world’s most sophisticated silicon photonics to build the next generation of gigawatt-scale AI factories.”
“This multiyear strategic agreement reflects our shared commitment to advancing the optics technologies that will power the next generation of AI infrastructure,” said Michael Hurlston, CEO of Lumentum. “In support of this collaboration, we are also investing in a new fabrication facility to increase capacity and accelerate innovation. We’re excited to work together to expand what’s possible for the AI optical architectures of tomorrow.”
GTC + OFC = A Laser Light Show for the Newest Compute Bottleneck
The week of March 16 brought two big conferences for Lumentum and other optical industry players.
NVIDIA's GTC in San Jose unveiled new GPU system designs for the Vera Rubin platform and highlighted many of the optical technologies that will be included.
And the Optical Fiber Communications conference (OFC) in Los Angeles saw more detailed presentations by LITE, Coherent, and their peers and partners.
Lumentum gave a great overview of their business and the opportunities ahead at OFC in a 40-slide presentation. As optical components are becoming sold-out through 2027, they see market demand only continuing to expand.

Lumentum said it plans to invest hundreds of millions of dollars over the next several years in the 240,000-square-foot facility in Greensboro.
Besides NVIDIA, Lumentum said it also plans to support other AI infrastructure customers for their scale-out and scale-up optical requirements through the plant.
In their OFC presentation, LITE management revealed that when this new fab ramps up in early 2028, it will add a whopping $5 billion in annual revenue capacity at chip-level margins.
>>Lumentum officially targeting $2 billion in quarterly revenue, for an $8 billion annualized run rate. They laid out a timeline to hit $1.25 billion per quarter in the next 9 to 12 months, and then reach that $2 billion quarterly target in another 9 to 12 months. As they scale, they are targeting operating margins to expand to 38% to 42%.
Management announced a brand-new multi-year, multi-billion-dollar OCS agreement with a major hyperscaler. They already have a $400 million backlog to ship in the second half of this year, but with this new mega-deal, they project OCS will ramp to a greater than $1 billion run rate in 2027.
Lumentum is aggressively targeting the scale-up market (connectivity of GPUs within racks) to replace copper. They noted that the first phase of this scale-up market will be 3X to 4X larger than the current scale-out market.
To capture customers who don't have NVIDIA's massive optical engineering teams, they are building turnkey External Light Source (ELS) modules, which will actually double their revenue content compared to just selling bare lasers. They are also launching volume shipments of 1.6T transceivers in Q2, which carry significantly better margins.
Management showed a chart projecting the AI optical TAM (total addressable market) exploding from $18 billion today to over $90 billion by 2030. They are currently under-shipping customer demand by 25-30% and have customers asking for lasers in the billions of units.
Visible LITE Above $800?
In my February post-earnings article, when newly-raised Wall Street analyst price targets were gathering around the $550 level, I said "See ya next quarter when Lumentum surprises again and they raise their PTs to $650."

The Zacks full-year 2026 EPS consensus among six analysts has dropped from a loss of 19-cents to -$0.35 in the past two months.
Despite D-Wave Quantum’s reported 179% revenue growth in 2025, bookings volatility (down 22% over 2024), widening adjusted EBITDA losses and continued heavy cash burn signal a distant path to profitability. Moreover, much of its recent momentum, including large system sales and QCaaS deals, is subject to delayed revenue recognition, limiting near-term financial visibility.

D-Wave Quantum Plunges 49% in 3 Months: Time to Sell as Losses Widen?
D-Wave entered 2026 with several key challenges despite its strong 2025 top-line performance. While revenue grew to $24.6 million in 2025, it remains uneven across quarters, with a 22% drop in bookings showing reliance on a few big deals. Much of its recent wins, like system sales and long-term contracts, will take time to show up as revenue, limiting near-term visibility.
Losses are still high (about $71.8 million EBITDA loss) and spending is expected to increase further due to R&D expansion and the Quantum Circuits acquisition. Lastly, although the company is pushing a dual-platform strategy, its gate-model technology is still early-stage. It may lag larger, better-funded competitors, raising concerns about how quickly it can deliver real commercial results.
Industry-Wide Headwinds
At a macro level, conditions are equally challenging. The quantum computing sector remains in the Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) Phase meaning systems are not yet widely practical or commercially scalable, with meaningful adoption likely years away (closer to 2030). This keeps stocks driven more by sentiment than fundamentals.
At the same time, competition from giants like IBM and rising global investments are increasing both the pace and cost of innovation. Combined with macro pressures like geopolitical tensions, tight financial conditions and reduced appetite for high-risk tech, 2026 could be a tough year for D-Wave Quantum as it works to prove real commercial traction in a still-maturing industry.
Bottom line on QBTS: Long-term investors may see favorable risk/reward in QBTS at a sub-$5 billion market cap. But until the EPS estimate stop going down and stabilize, the near-term risks remain front and center. The Zacks Rank will keep you informed.

Month of March Goes Out Like a Bull
It was the final trading day of a dismal month of March and Q1 overall yesterday — it was shaping up to be the worst trading month in four years, but it fought back valiantly. The Dow gained +1125 points, +2.49%, the S&P 500 was +104 points, +2.91%, and the Nasdaq a whopping +795 points, +3.83%. The small-cap Russell 2000 was +82, +3.40%.
We should also be realistic here, and not fully forget the ebb-and-flow directly related to Iran War policies, which kick the stock market into gear when President Trump calls for an end to the conflict, but much less so when he says the opposite. Then again, buying in ahead of the new quarter does display some innate hopefulness that the crisis does get resolved sooner than later.
Economic Prints from Today: JOLTS, Chicago Biz & More
We got a slew of post-open data this morning, collecting a decent range — if not outsized importance — of economic figures that may have added a dollop of positivity in the markets today, as well. But these reports tend not to move the needle all too much.
The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) for February reached expectations almost exactly, at 6.88 million openings (6.92 million projected) for the month. This is down from the upwardly revised 7.2 million from the previous month. All four regions saw job openings recede, led by -160K in the South and -110K in the Northeast. Both Quits and Layoffs remained at subdued levels.
The Chicago Business Barometer for March came down, as analysts had expected, but by a deeper cut: 52.8 versus 55.1 estimated. This follows a 12-month high at 57.7 for February. It’s the first month in four that didn’t take the barometer, but remains comfortably above the 50-level, which indicates growth. Prices paid increased to their highest rate since December.
Consumer Confidence for March, however, surprised to the upside: 91.8, well above the 87.5 estimated and the slightly downwardly revised 91.0 in February. “…[A] modest improvement in consumers’ views of current conditions outweighed a slight downshift in expectations for the future,” the CEO of The Conference Board was quoted as saying.
Earnings After the Bell: NIKE & RH
NIKE, which has only missed on earnings estimates once in the past five years, beat expectations again after today’s close. Earnings of +$0.35 per share outpaced the +$0.29 analysts were looking for, on $11.28 billion in revenues, which surpassed the $11.23 billion in the Zacks consensus. Business in China outperformed to $1.62 billion, from the $1.50 billion expected.
RH, formerly Restoration Hardware, missed estimates after Tuesday’s close, with earnings of $1.53 per share well shy of the $2.21 expected in the Zacks consensus. Revenues of $843 million were shy of the $872.4 million analysts had been seeking. Further, revenue guidance for the current quarter (Q1) has been brought down considerably, to a range of +4-8%. Shares are trading down another -17% in late market activity, following -22% losses year to date.

Month of March Goes Out Like a Bull

RH (RH) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.53 per share, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.21 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.58 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -30.73%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this furniture and housewares company would post earnings of $2.13 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.71, delivering a surprise of -19.72%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates just once.
RH, which belongs to the Zacks Consumer Products - Staples industry, posted revenues of $842.62 million for the quarter ended January 2026, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 3.41%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $812.41 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates just once over the last four quarters.
The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.
