PACCAR Inc designs, manufactures, and distributes light, medium, and heavy-duty commercial trucks in the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico, South America, Australia, and internationally. It operates through three segments: Truck, Parts, and Financial Services. The Truck segment designs, manufactures, and distributes trucks for the over-the-road and off-highway hauling of commercial and consumer goods. It sells its trucks through a network of independent dealers under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. The Parts segment distributes aftermarket parts for trucks and related commercial vehicles. The Financial Services segment conducts full-service leasing operations under the PacLease trade name, as well as provides finance and leasing products and services to customers and dealers. This segment also offers equipment financing and administrative support services for its franchisees; retail loan and leasing services for small, medium, and large commercial trucking companies, as well as independent owners/operators and other businesses; and truck inventory financing services to independent dealers. In addition, this segment offers loans and leases directly to customers for the acquisition of trucks and related equipment. The company also manufactures and markets industrial winches under the Braden, Carco, and Gearmatic nameplates. PACCAR Inc was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington.

Paccar (PCAR) Stock Moves -1.10%: What You Should Know

Investors in PACCAR Inc. (Symbol: PCAR) saw new options become available today, for the March 2027 expiration. One of the key inputs that goes into the price an option buyer is willing to pay, is the time value, so with 387 days until expiration the newly available contracts represent a possible opportunity for sellers of puts or calls to achieve a higher premium than would be available for the contracts with a closer expiration. The put contract at the $120.00 strike price has a current bid of $10.30. March 2027 Options Now Available For PACCAR

Farm and construction machinery stocks are soaring in 2026, up double digits in a market that's moving sideways. Three industrial stocks make up the group within the S&P 500, and they're all outperforming the broader index by a mile.
Paccar (NASDAQ: PCAR) makes light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF brands. It also makes advanced diesel engines. The stock is up more than 16% this year.

Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT) manufactures a wide variety of construction and farm equipment, plus power systems like gas generators. This stock has skyrocketed 28% so far in 2026.
And Deere (NYSE: DE), like Caterpillar, makes a wide array of construction and agriculture machines and equipment. The stock is up more than 25% so far this year.
Caterpillar reported its fourth quarter results on Jan. 29 and they were stellar. Revenue climbed 18% in the quarter to $19.1 billion while earnings hit $5.16 a share. Wall Street was expecting earnings per share of $4.71 on revenue of $17.9 billion. The stock has climbed 10% since the earnings release.
Caterpillar's gas turbine division in particular is booming, and that's partly due to the massive artificial intelligence (AI) data center buildout and its insatiable power needs. Sales in the division rose 23% during the quarter, to $1.75 billion. The company expects to double sales of power generation equipment by 2030.
As for Deere, the company will report quarterly results on Feb. 19. Analysts expect earnings of $2.10 a share on revenue of $7.5 billion.
And Paccar reported fourth quarter results on Jan. 27, with adjusted earnings of $1.06 per share on revenue of $6.8 billion. Both figures beat the consensus on analyst expectations.
These are good times for heavy equipment manufacturers
All three stocks are benefiting from urban expansion around the world and the infrastructure (like roads, bridges and railways) needed to accommodate it. The market for heavy construction equipment is forecast to grow at an annual rate of 6.2% a year through 2034, to $372 billion. Plus, the agriculture equipment market is moving out of a down cycle and is projected to grow 8.6% per year through 2035 and top $689 billion by then, twice as large as the market in 2025.
And there's the AI buildout, which is highly favorable for construction equipment makers and industrial transportation firms. The four largest AI hyperscalers are expected to spend at least $625 billion on data centers and AI infrastructure this year. If you're bullish on the U.S. economy, as I am, you should consider these three stocks, as the products they make are critical to economic growth.

Developed alongside the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are a group of complementary indicators that help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value Score
For value investors, it's all about finding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value before the broader market catches on. The Value Style Score utilizes ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to help pick out the most attractive and discounted stocks.
Growth Score
Growth investors, on the other hand, are more concerned with a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score examines things like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will experience sustainable growth over time.
Momentum Score
Momentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." This investing style is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Employing factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, the Momentum Style Score can indicate favorable times to build a position in high-momentum stocks.
VGM Score
If you like to use all three kinds of investing, then the VGM Score is for you. It's a combination of all Style Scores, and is an important indicator to use with the Zacks Rank. The VGM Score rates each stock on their shared weighted styles, narrowing down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank
The Zacks Rank, which is a proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to make building a winning portfolio easier.
Investors can count on the Zacks Rank's success, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.83% average annual return since 1988, more than double the S&P 500's performance. But the model rates a large number of stocks, and there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
But it can feel overwhelming to pick the right stocks for you and your investing goals with over 800 top-rated stocks to choose from.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
To have the best chance of big returns, you'll want to always consider stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B, which will give you the highest probability of success. If you're looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, it's important they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
As mentioned above, the Scores are designed to work with the Zacks Rank, so any change to a company's earnings outlook should be a deciding factor when picking which stocks to buy.
Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Paccar (PCAR) is a Top-Ranked Value Stock: Should You Buy?

PACCAR Inc. PCAR recorded fourth-quarter 2025 earnings of $1.06 per share, which matched the Zacks Consensus Estimate but declined from $1.66 reported in the year-ago period.
Consolidated revenues (including trucks and financial services) were $6.8 billion, down from $7.91 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2024. Sales from Trucks, Parts and Others amounted to $6.25 billion.

Revenues from the Trucks segment totaled $4.52 billion in the fourth quarter, lower than the prior-year quarter’s $5.69 billion. The metric, however, surpassed our estimate of $4.43 billion. Global truck deliveries totaled 32,900 units, higher than our projection of 32,145 units but lower than 43,900 units delivered in the corresponding quarter of 2024. The segment’s pre-tax income was $94.6 million, which fell short of our estimate of $237.3 million and plunged 81.2% year over year.
Revenues from the Parts segment totaled $1.74 billion, up from the year-earlier period’s $1.67 billion. Our estimate was $1.75 billion. The segment’s pre-tax income totaled $415 million, down from $428.2 million reported in the year-ago period. The metric, however, topped our forecast of $332.1 million.
Financial Services segment revenues amounted to $568.7 million, higher than the year-ago quarter’s $544.3 million but lower than our estimate of $576.8 million. Pre-tax income increased to $114.9 million from $104 million reported in the year-ago period but fell short of our projection of $128.1 million.
Selling, general and administrative expenses increased to $153.8 million from $150.4 million in the prior-year period. Research & development (R&D) expenses totaled $106.2 million compared with the year-earlier quarter’s $115 million.
PACCAR’s cash and marketable debt securities amounted to $9.25 billion as of Dec. 31, 2025, compared with $9.65 billion as of Dec. 31, 2024.
Capex and R&D expenses for 2026 are envisioned in the band of $725-$775 million and $450-$500 million, respectively.

PACCAR Q4 Earnings Match Estimates, Revenues Decline Y/Y

Sales and earnings were nonetheless down a lot year over year.
Shares of semi-truck manufacturer Paccar (NASDAQ: PCAR) stock slipped 1.9% through 2:50 p.m. ET Tuesday despite delivering an earnings beat this morning. Analysts forecast Paccar to earn $1.05 per share on sales of $6.1 billion in Q4 2025, but the company actually earned $1.06 per share on sales of $6.8 billion.

Paccar Q4 earnings
For one thing, while they exceeded expectations, Paccar's Q4 earnings were objectively bad. Sales declined 14% year over year in the quarter, and the company's $1.06 per share profit was 36% worse than a year ago.
For full year 2025, sales declined 16% to $28.4 billion, while earnings collapsed 43% to just $4.51 per share. Despite all these bad numbers, CEO Preston Feight insisted Paccar "reported very good annual revenues and net income in 2025." Investors seem less enthusiastic, however.
Free cash flow held more or less steady at $3.7 billion, which was significantly more than the $2.4 billion the company reported as net income. (Free cash flow was only $3 billion if you count "acquisitions of equipment for operating leases" as a capital investment, which seems the safest choice. Even so, this number, too, was better than the reported profit.)
Is Paccar stock a sell?
How should investors react to these numbers? At $62.8 billion in market capitalization, Paccar shares cost about 26 times trailing earnings (a bit expensive) but only 21 times free cash flow (less expensive).
Those would be fine numbers if Paccar were a growing business, but (1) right now it's shrinking, (2) Paccar gave no guidance to suggest this will change soon, and (3) analysts forecast only 5% long-term earnings growth for the stock.
As things stand, I fear Paccar stock is a sell.
