Noteworthy Tuesday Option Activity: DHI, NXPI, REGN

In early trading on Tuesday, shares of PayPal Holdings topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 9.4%. Year to date, PayPal Holdings has lost about 9.9% of its value.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is NXP Semiconductors, trading down 3.2%. NXP Semiconductors is showing a gain of 3.2% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Cadence Design Systems, trading down 2.9%, and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals trading up 5.5% on the day.

NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) reported third-quarter 2025 non-GAAP earnings of $3.11 per share, matching the Zacks Consensus Estimate. However, the figure declined 10% year over year.
NXP Semiconductors’ top line of $3.17 billion beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.15 billion by 0.6% and came above the midpoint of management’s guidance. The figure declined 2% year over year.
NXPI’s Q3 2025 Details
Revenues from Automotive (57.9% of total revenues) in the third quarter were $1.84 billion, up 0.4% year over year and 6% sequentially. Our model estimate for Automotive revenues was pegged at $1.82 billion, which indicated a 0.2% year-over-year decline.
Third-quarter revenues from Mobile (13.6% of total revenues) were $430 million, up 6% year over year and 30% from the previous quarter. Our model estimate for Mobile revenues was pegged at $402.7 million, which indicated a 1% year-over-year decline.
NXP Semiconductors N.V. Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Revenues from Communication Infrastructure & Others (10.3% of total revenues) were $327 million, representing a 27% decline from the year-ago quarter and a 2% increase sequentially. Our model estimate for Communication Infrastructure & Others revenues was pegged at $411.8 million, which indicated an 8.7% year-over-year decline.
Revenues from Industrial & IoT (18.2% of total revenues) were $579 million, up 3% from the year-ago quarter and up 6% sequentially. Our model estimate for Industrial & IoT revenues was pegged at $512 million, which indicated a 9.1% year-over-year decline.
NXPI’s non-GAAP gross profit in the third quarter was $1.81 billion, down 4% year over year and up 10% sequentially. The non-GAAP gross margin of 57% contracted 120 basis points year over year but improved 50 basis points sequentially.
Non-GAAP operating income declined 7% year over year to $1.07 billion, with the operating margin shrinking 170 basis points to 33.8%. On a quarter-over-quarter basis, non-GAAP operating income increased 15% while margin improved 180 basis points.
NXPI’s Balance Sheet & Cash Flow
As of Sept. 28, 2025, NXPI’s cash and cash equivalents were $3.45 billion, up from $3.17 billion as of June 29, 2025.
Long-term debt at the end of the third quarter was $10.97 billion, up from $9.48 billion in the prior quarter.
Cash flow from operations was $585 million. Capital expenditures amounted to $76 million, leading to a non-GAAP free cash flow of $509 million.
During the quarter, NXPI paid dividends of $256 million and repurchased shares worth $54 million.
NXPI’s Q4 Guidance
For the fourth quarter of 2025, NXPI expects revenues in the range of $3.2-$3.4 billion. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the same is pegged at $3.21 billion, indicating a year-over-year increase of 3.1%.
NXPI expects non-GAAP earnings per share in the band of $3.07-$3.49. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the same is pegged at $3.23, indicating a year-over-year increase of 1.6%.

After-Hours Earnings Report for October 27, 2025 : WELL, CDNS, WM, NXPI, HIG, CLS, ACGL, NUE, BRO, CINF, FTAI, PFG

Pre-market futures continue their ascent to start a new week of trading, despite starting slowly with new data, either for Q3 earnings or economic reports. The Dow is +246 points at this hour, the S&P +59, the Nasdaq +341 and the small-cap Russell 2000 +24 points. From mid-day lows last Wednesday, the Dow is +1.92%, the S&P +2.60%, Nasdaq +3.79% and +4.27% on the Russell.
Economic reports this week were going to be back-weighted overall anyhow, with Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) for September out Friday. But with the government shutdown now in Day 27, we’ll be going without PCE and several other news items released by departments within the government: Durable Goods Orders, Trade Balance in Goods, Retail/Wholesale Inventories, Weekly Jobless Claims and GDP (a product of overall PCE data).
We will see Case-Shiller home prices for August and October Consumer Confidence Tuesday, as well as Pending Home Sales and the latest FOMC decision, which is nearly iron-clad to deliver another 25 basis-point (bps) cut, to a Fed funds rate of 3.75-4.00% — its first sub-4% read in three years. Mild CPI numbers Friday morning was likely the final straw.
U.S./China trade talks continue — clearly nothing has been said to bum out the markets at this stage — but are still fairly nebulous. Huntington Bankshares HBAN is reportedly buying regional Cadence Bank CADE (Tupelo, MS) for $7.4 billion or roughly $39 per share. And this week brings us the biggest Q3 earnings week so far, by market cap: Alphabet GOOGL, Meta Platforms META, Microsoft MSFT, Apple AAPL and Amazon AMZN.
Keurig Dr Pepper Meets, Gains +10%
Ahead of today’s open, Keurig Dr Pepper KDP is out with its Q3 earnings report — only meeting on its bottom line, 54 cents per share, but +4% on its top line, which reached $4.31 billion in quarterly revenues. Also, the company raised $3 billion in preferred stock from KKR and Apollo (more on this during the KDP conference call), which points toward something more ambitious, perhaps, than the Global Coffee pod manufacturing project also announced today. This afternoon, we see Q3 earnings season pick up, with numbers due from Nucor NUE, Best Bath & Beyond BBBY, NXP Semiconductors NXPI, Whirlpool WHR and F5 FFIV. We’re officially seeing reports from nearly all spectra of industry in a week that will being us nearly 1000 earnings reports.
