Nvidia
Nvidia's (NASDAQ: NVDA) revenue for fiscal 2026 (ending Jan. 25) surged around 65% year over year to $215.9 billion, driven largely by hyperscalers aggressively investing in data centers. CEO Jensen Huang sees a data-center AI opportunity exceeding $1 trillion through 2027, up from earlier estimates of about $500 billion. This upward revision reflects an accelerated demand for its Blackwell and Rubin systems.
Nvidia's full-stack approach -- built on a tightly integrated system spanning chips, networking, and software -- has made it a crucial enabler of the global AI infrastructure building boom. According to researcher Mizuho, the company is estimated to hold more than a 75% share of the market for AI training and inference chips for data centers.
Its commitment to innovation and expanding global demand continues to support the company's growth. Its $20 billion deal with Groq is also strengthening its position in inference workloads by adding specialized technology and engineering talent.
With strong cash generation and deep integration across the AI stack, Nvidia remains a smart long-term pick.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE: TSM) has become one of the clearest enablers of the AI boom. In its 2026 first quarter (ending March 31), revenue rose about 39% year over year to $35.9 billion. Gross margin expanded by 3.9 percentage points sequentially to 66.2%, highlighting the company's strong pricing power.
AI demand is now the primary growth engine. High-performance computing accounted for 61% of total first-quarter revenue, while advanced nodes below 7-nanometer contributed 74% of wafer sales.
Management expects revenue to grow above 30% year over year in 2026. With demand for advanced nodes still exceeding supply, the company is positioned to remain a key beneficiary of the ongoing AI infrastructure build-out.
Broadcom
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) is benefiting from rising demand for custom chips, as large technology companies focus on optimizing performance and costs. The company is guiding for revenue to grow 47% year over year to around $22 billion, while adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) are expected to be around 68% of total revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 2026.
Semiconductor sales are forecast to grow 76% year over year to $14.8 billion, driven by surging AI demand. AI semiconductor revenue is predicted to rise 140% year over year to $10.7 billion.
The company's custom AI accelerator business is scaling up, with deployments across multiple hyperscalers and AI developers, including Alphabet, Meta Platforms, and Anthropic. Broadcom also expects to generate over $100 billion in AI-related chip revenue by 2027, supported by multiyear contracts and secured supply chains.
With strong profits and close partnerships in custom chips and networking, Broadcom is playing a key role in building the next generation of AI systems.
Microsoft
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is quietly turning into one of the most important players in the AI boom, with its cloud platform and long-term contracts driving steady growth. Analysts expect revenue to rise roughly 16.2% year over year to $81.4 billion and earnings per share to grow 17.7% year over year to $4.07 in the third quarter of fiscal 2026.
Microsoft exited the second quarter with commercial remaining performance obligations (RPOs, a measure of contractual backlog) of $625 billion, up 110% year over year. Hence, the company has impressive revenue visibility, supported by multiyear AI contracts.
It is also focusing on monetizing its Copilot virtual AI assistant. The company had about 15 million paid Microsoft 365 Copilot seats at the end of the second quarter, highlighting its strong enterprise adoption and usage growth.
Evercore analyst Kirk Materne expects Azure AI revenue to grow around 41% year over year to nearly $25.7 billion in calendar 2026, significantly higher than its previous estimate of $21.8 billion. The analyst also forecasts Azure acceleration mostly in the second half of 2026, as data center capacity is tight and may need time to scale up.
Thanks to its impressive presence in the cloud, AI platforms, and enterprise software, Microsoft is becoming a long-term enabler of AI adoption across industries.
Palantir Technologies
Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) has become a key in applying AI to defense intelligence and real-world business operations.
The Pentagon's recent decision to utilize Palantir's Maven AI platform has ensured long-term stable funding from U.S. military budgets. Previously, the Army consolidated multiple deals into a single agreement with Palantir, valued at around $10 billion over 10 years. These contracts highlight the durability and visibility of the company's government revenue.
Palantir is also gaining in commercial markets through its Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), which helps organizations derive insights by connecting AI models directly with their enterprise data and operational work flows. This is driving strong adoption across industries such as aerospace, healthcare, and energy.

Unlike humans, AI agents are unemotional
Claude's portfolio isn't influenced by headlines or rhetoric that drive stock momentum. Rather, the algorithm runs on ruthless optimization: locating the widest gaps between valuation and intrinsic compounding power.
In late March, an account on X (formerly Twitter) known as The Claude Portfolio revealed that a custom agent allocated 10% of the fund to Broadcom and swapped 8% of its turnover budget into Microsoft. Positions of this size are not incremental tweaks. They represent high-conviction ideas within the broader portfolio because Claude's models calculated expected returns north of 20% while the next-best names hovered around low single digits.
The difference between a Claude agent and a real-life analyst isn't an ability to process data faster. It's simply that bots lack the emotions driving sentiment and psychology. Therefore, it behaves differently compared to a human. Humans have a habit of fixating on the latest headline, rumor, or one specific figure from an earnings report.
Claude, by contrast, treats these variables as inputs to its model rather than as definitive conclusions. In essence, AI dilutes potential concerns into simple questions:

At what price is this infrastructure being offered today?
The ceasefire in Iran was, frankly, just noise rattling the technology sector. The ongoing structural buildout of AI is what's most relevant to the storyline.
Microsoft remains a quality compounder despite a temporary fire sale
Prior to its bounce back post-ceasefire, Microsoft stock had fallen roughly 28% from its highs -- its worst start to the year since 2008. The company was trading at a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) multiple of 20 -- 34% below the software sector average and the cheapest valuation in five years.
To Claude, this valuation compression wasn't a signal of weakness or fracture in Microsoft's business. The selling pressure was merely a mispricing of one of the world's largest enterprise cloud platforms at a moment when its fortress was widening.
Claude identified two vectors colliding simultaneously. First, Azure is guiding for 38% growth next quarter, supported by a staggering $625 billion revenue backlog. Second, Copilot crossed 4.7 million paid subscribers, proving that generative AI is not a science experiment but a legitimate revenue engine embedding itself inside Office -- one of the most sticky enterprise software suites on the planet.
The risk to Microsoft's growth seems obvious: Over $100 billion in AI capital expenditures will compress free cash flow in the near term. But Claude views this spending far differently than Wall Street.
The AI trading model sees Microsoft's infrastructure budget not as a capital drain but more as the required price of scaling operating systems for the AI era. If Azure continues to grow and Copilot keeps embedding across Microsoft's vast ecosystem, the current multiple compression should be temporary as the company's earnings power becomes a staple.
Wall Street is pricing Microsoft for fear, whereas Claude is pricing the internet giant as a long-term compounder.
Broadcom is quietly becoming the pick-and-shovel king of custom silicon
While Microsoft supplies cloud infrastructure, Broadcom supplies the silicon that fuels cloud intelligence. In late March, the Claude agent made Broadcom 10% of the portfolio -- its largest single position.
Why was Claude so bullish on Broadcom? Because the AI recognizes that Broadcom has built a near-monopoly in the custom AI chip landscape -- controlling 60% to 80% of the custom silicon market. These chips, known as application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), are specialized accelerators that hyperscalers use to train and run next-generation models.
During the first quarter, AI semiconductor revenue grew 106% year over year to $8.4 billion, while Broadcom's order book is on pace to reach $100 billion through 2027. Notably, Broadcom boasts hyperscalers including Alphabet, Meta Platforms, and OpenAI as part of its growing backlog.
Shortly after the earnings report, the thesis around Broadcom was validated as Google extended its TPU partnership through 2031. Moreover, Anthropic has committed to 3.5 gigawatts of Broadcom-powered AI TPUs starting next year. Analyst Vijay Rakesh from Mizuho estimates that the Anthropic relationship alone could add $21 billion in revenue for Broadcom this year and reach $42 billion by 2027.
While Wall Street discounts semiconductor stocks for cyclical risk amid macro uncertainty, Claude sees structural inevitability: AI hyperscalers are racing to build their own silicon because clusters of general-purpose chips are no longer enough to keep pace with new applications across agentic AI, robotics, and autonomous systems.
Broadcom isn't selling commoditized shovels. The company is designing the custom-forged steel from which the shovels are made. When the ceasefire was announced and sentiment flipped, Broadcom stock simply rerated to the backlog that's been supporting the company's growth trajectory all along.
Is it too late to buy Microsoft or Broadcom stock?
Claude didn't buy Microsoft and Broadcom as swing trades. The agent understands that the next decade of AI will run on their rails, and those rails are only beginning to be laid. For human investors willing to adopt a similar disciplined approach to an AI-optimized portfolio, the opportunities Claude spotted are still very much alive.

In a matter of months, a key issue affecting CVS Health's (NYSE: CVS) performance has seemingly vanished. On April 7, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized the amount by which it will increase payments to providers operating under the Medicare program.
As you may recall, the original proposed increase was poorly received by investors, mostly because it was barely above zero and heightened concerns about a further squeeze on industry margins. But now, with the official increase far better than expected, healthcare stocks like CVS Health have surged again.

Rather than being the recipient of a short-lived rally, the latest Medicare rate increase could kick off a further surge in shares.
What makes the Medicare decision a big deal for CVS
Back in January, news of CMS's proposed 0.09% Medicare rate increase sparked a sharp sell-off in top healthcare stock, including CVS. To some, this may be surprising. After all, isn't CVS just a pharmacy chain?
That hasn't been the case for quite some time. Currently, CVS is a highly diversified provider of healthcare services. Besides operating its eponymous chain of pharmacies, CVS Health is the parent company of health insurance provider Aetna. As a major provider of Medicare Advantage plans, the prospect of just a 0.09% increase signaled lower profitability ahead.
However, with CMS's finalized payment policy calling for a nearly 2.5% increase, perceptions regarding future profitability have improved considerably. With this increase, insurers will collect $13 billion more in payments than previously expected.
Although payment increases still lag rising costs of as much as 9% annually, sell-side analysts like Mizuho's Jared Holz believe plan providers like CVS Health's Aetna unit have a greater chance of increasing their margins next year, mostly through benefit cuts.
Why the rally could continue
The biggest takeaway with the Medicare payment rate decision news is what it could mean for CVS Health's earnings in the coming year. Although managed care accounts for only a portion of CVS's overall business, the aforementioned news bodes well for confidence in management's 2026 earnings guidance.
As stated in the Q4 2025 earnings report, management expects CVS's adjusted earnings per share to come in between $7 and $7.20 per share. Shares have rallied from the low $70s since the Medicare announcement, implying the stock is trading at around 11 times forward earnings. Health insurance stocks like UnitedHealth Group and Humana trade at 15 to 20 times forward earnings.
That's not to say that CVS is destined to reach valuation parity with these stocks, but even partially bridging the valuation gap could have a considerable impact on CVS's stock price. For instance, at 13 or 14 times forward earnings, based on current guidance, a move to $90 or $100 per share may be reasonable. The potential upside, both in the near and longer term, could be even greater.
The high end of analyst estimates calls for CVS to report EPS of $7.40 this year, with the larger Medicare payments perhaps driving a further double-digit earnings growth in 2027. Alongside growth potential, an investment in CVS Health offers steady gains via the stock's 3.4% forward dividend yield.

Rigetti stock is sliding on troubling economic data
Friday's producer price index (PPI) showed core wholesale prices surging 0.8% in January -- nearly triple the 0.3% economists had forecast. The hot inflation numbers likely mean the Federal Reserve will hold off on any rate cuts for longer than expected, and that is not good news for more speculative stocks like Rigetti's.
When interest rates stay elevated, investors are less willing to pay a premium for future profits, especially when those profits are as uncertain as Rigetti's.
D-Wave Quantum stock gets a price cut
On top of that, analysts at Mizuho slashed its price target on D-Wave stock from $46 to $40 on Friday. The company is a close rival of Rigetti, and at this point, investors tend to tie the fates of all of the quantum pure-plays together.
Is Rigetti stock worth buying on the dip?
Quantum computing may well transform entire industries someday. But I think "someday" has a good chance of being much further off than quantum bulls would hope. Rigetti's valuation is still pricing in enormous success that is far from guaranteed. I wouldn't invest until Rigetti's valuation is more in line with reality.

One analyst believes that Broadcom stock has plenty of room to run in 2026
Maintain an outperform rating, Vijay Rakesh, an analyst at Mizuho, lifted the price target on Broadcom stock to $480 from $450.
According to theFly.com, Rakesh based his more optimistic outlook on Broadcom stock after the firm revisited its price targets on semiconductor stocks, believing that many of them have "attractive valuations." Providing an even more ringing endorsement of Broadcom stock, Mizuho named Broadcom as one of its top semiconductor picks for 2026.
Is it too late now to pick up shares of Broadcom?
While Rakesh sees significant upside to Broadcom stock, investors should hardly take this data point in isolation. Those considering a position in the semiconductor stock should also recognize that shares are trading at a premium to their historical valuation. Currently, Broadcom stock is changing hands at a price-to-earnings ratio of 69.7, a lofty valuation considering its five-year average trailing P/E of 40.2. For those committed to a Broadcom investment, the stock's rich valuation may be less of a concern. Stock market players were more than energized about Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE) over the past several trading days. Thanks to a well-received quarterly earnings report, a clutch of fresh analyst price target hikes, and some news on the financing front, the company's shares were on the rise.
As of early Friday morning, according to data compiled by S&P Global Market Intelligence, they had gained nearly 16% week to date.

Four in a row
Bloom, a developer of cutting-edge fuel cell products, posted its third-quarter results on Tuesday. The company didn't hesitate to say that with its $519 million on the top line -- 57% higher year over year, by the way -- it notched its fourth straight all-time high revenue figure.
Net income not according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) also saw a supercharged leap, rising by 60% to exceed $34 million.
On average, analysts were collectively modeling only $428 million on the top line, and $0.10 per share for non-GAAP (adjusted) net income.
Inspired by that over-performance, analysts tracking Bloom wasted little time making bullish adjustments to their takes. Among the Bloom-watchers raising their price targets were Morgan Stanley, Mizuho, and HSBC.
A $1.75 billion move
Bloom also had news to report in the financing sphere. On Thursday, it divulged that it intended to float a $1.75 billion aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes bearing interest of 0% and maturing on Nov. 15, 2030. The notes will be convertible into its class A stock, cash, or a mix of both, although it hasn't published any details yet.
Bloom said it would use its proceeds from the issue for "general corporate purposes," which include the support of research and development and its manufacturing efforts.

The Avantis Responsible International Equity ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 336,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 34,000. Shares of AVSD were up about 0.9% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Nokia, trading down about 0.7% with over 20.9 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Grab Holdings, up about 0.5% on volume of over 16.7 million shares. Mizuho Financial Group is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 4.1% on the day, while Genmab is lagging other components of the Avantis Responsible International Equity ETF, trading lower by about 7.6%.

What fueled the rally?
The recent rally isn't just sentiment-driven -- Alibaba has started delivering tangible progress in areas investors care about.
In its June 2025 quarter (fiscal Q1 2026), the company reported revenue of RMB 248 billion ($34.6 billion), up 10% year over year (on a like-for-like basis), marking a return to double-digit growth after a stretch of stagnation. More importantly, its cloud business has become the standout performer. Alibaba Cloud revenue surged 26% to RMB 33.4 billion ($4.7 billion), and management disclosed that AI-related revenue grew at triple-digit rates for the eighth consecutive quarter.
That shift is critical because cloud and AI are where the growth is, compared to Alibaba's traditional e-commerce business. With its large language model, Tongyi Qianwen, already integrated across enterprise and consumer applications, Alibaba is positioning itself not just as an e-commerce leader but as an AI platform provider.
Meanwhile, Alibaba has also leaned into growth areas like quick commerce to defend engagement against Meituan and Pinduoduo. While costly in the short term, these moves show management is willing to play offense again rather than simply cutting costs. So far, the outcome has been solid, with e-commerce growing at 10% year over year in the latest quarter.
Together, stronger results, a credible AI story, and signs of renewed strategy execution have fueled the stock's rebound.
The risk of selling too soon
After a near doubling in share price, it's tempting to lock in gains. But selling stock now can mean missing out on the next leg higher.
Alibaba's stock remains far below its peak valuation. At a price-to-sales ratio of just 2.8, shares trade at a fraction of their 2020 multiple of around 7-9 times. Even after the rally, Alibaba is valued more like a retailer than a dominant technology platform with multiple growth levers.
Investor sentiment is also just beginning to shift. In recent weeks, analysts at Mizuho, Bernstein, and Citi raised their price targets or reiterated bullish ratings, citing cloud momentum and AI adoption as underappreciated catalysts. If earnings momentum continues, more institutional investors may return to the stock, driving a potential rerating.
In short, the fundamentals don't suggest Alibaba has already "topped out." Instead, the recovery could be in its early stages if execution holds up.
Alibaba has plenty of work remaining to do
Still, the rally is not entirely risk-free. Alibaba still faces fierce competition in its core e-commerce business from Pinduoduo's low-price strategy and Meituan's dominance in local services. Profitability has also come under pressure from its heavy investments in quick commerce, which weighed on earnings last quarter despite healthy revenue growth. For perspective, non-GAAP net income fell 18% in the latest quarter despite improving revenue.
Geopolitics remains another overhang. U.S.-China tensions around technology exports could complicate Alibaba's cloud and AI ambitions, though the company is hedging this risk by developing its own domestic AI chips.
These factors mean investors should expect volatility ahead, even if the long-term trajectory improves.
What it means for investors
Alibaba's massive rally in 2025 is impressive, but context matters. The stock has rebounded from depressed levels and still trades at attractive valuations. The company's cloud and AI growth show genuine signs of transformation, and early sentiment shifts hint that institutional investors are beginning to take notice.
At the same time, Alibaba isn't out of the woods yet. Competition, macro uncertainty, and regulatory risks remain part of the story.
That's why the best framing may be this: Alibaba is moving from being a "broken" stock to one with optionality again. In other words, the recovery may have more room to run, provided Alibaba executes on its cloud, AI, and commerce strategies in the coming quarters.
For long-term investors, that makes holding -- rather than selling into the rally -- a reasonable approach.
