Ellen Johnson will join Kyndryl on July 20 and take over as CFO on August 6, replacing interim CFO Harsh Chugh. Johnson arrives from Interpublic Group, where she was Executive Vice President and CFO of IPG since 2020.
Chugh will stay with Kyndryl through August 5 to assist with the transition.
Bonzani's appointment is effective immediately. He joins from IPG, where he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since 2021.
In pre market activity on NYSE, shares of Kyndryl were losing 0.14 percent, changing hands at $12.24.

Broadcom
Broadcom produces a wide range of wireless chips, networking switches, optical equipment, and custom AI accelerator chips. It also expanded its infrastructure software business through several significant acquisitions -- including the cloud giant VMware -- over the past few years.
Most of Broadcom's recent growth was driven by its soaring sales of custom AI accelerator chips for hyperscalers, which can process AI inference tasks at a more cost-efficient rate than Nvidia's (NASDAQ: NVDA) general-purpose data center GPUs when deployed at scale.
In fiscal 2025 (which ended last November), Broadcom's AI chip sales rose 65% to $20 billion. That accounted for 31% of its top line and offset the slower growth of its non-AI chips and infrastructure software business. Its revenue and EPS grew 24% and 40%, respectively.
Broadcom expects the AI boom to continue as its non-AI businesses recover and grow again. Analysts expect its revenue and adjusted EPS to grow 52% and 51%, respectively, in fiscal 2026. Those are incredible growth rates for a stock trading at 32 times forward earnings.
IBM
IBM struggled with declining sales for a decade before its cloud chief, Arvind Krishna, took over as its CEO in 2020. Under Krishna, IBM spun off its slow-growth managed infrastructure services segment as Kyndryl (NYSE: KD) and expanded its hybrid cloud and AI businesses.
Instead of going head-to-head with public cloud giants like Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), IBM used Red Hat (which it acquired in 2019) to launch more open-source applications that could process data flowing between on-site private clouds and public cloud platforms. That "hybrid" approach was appealing for large companies that weren't ready to migrate all of their data to the public cloud. That flexibility was also valuable for companies with multi-cloud deployments.
IBM's revenue and adjusted EPS grew 8% and 12%, respectively, in 2025. Analysts expect its revenue and adjusted EPS to rise another 5% and 7%, respectively, in 2026. Its stock could have plenty of upside, since it still looks reasonably valued at 21 times forward earnings.

Kyndryl (NYSE: KD) stock plummeted over the last week of trading. The company's share price plunged 47.9% over the period. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 declined 1.4%, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 2.1%.
Kyndryl released its latest quarterly report this week, and it would be an understatement to say that investors were disappointed with the results. In addition to sales and earnings that came in below Wall Street's targets, the company also lowered its forward guidance.

Kyndryl's fiscal Q3 results were a dud
On Feb. 9, Kyndryl published results for the third quarter of its 2026 fiscal year -- a period which ended Dec. 31. The business recorded non-GAAP (adjusted) earnings per share of $0.52 on sales of $3.86 billion. Meanwhile, the average analyst estimate had called for a per-share profit of $0.60 and sales of $3.91 billion.
While the company's Kyndryl Consult business grew sales 24% year over year in the quarter, it wasn't enough to stop overall revenue from falling short of expectations. Margins for the period also came in softer than anticipated.
Kyndryl's new full-year guidance was a shocker
In conjunction with its fiscal Q3 report, Kyndryl lowered its full-year guidance. The company now expects free cash flow for the fiscal year to be between $325 million and $375 million -- down from its previous forecast for free cash flow of roughly $550 million. Meanwhile, constant-currency sales are now projected to decline between 2% and 3% this year. Previously, the company had forecasted constant-currency growth of 1%.
Kyndryl's updated forecasts for the fiscal year suggest substantial performance deterioration for the business in the current quarter. While the company reiterated previous targets issued for the 2028 fiscal year, the steep drop-off in sales and free cash flow has caused investors to lose confidence.
