Supply chain revenues increased to $731.7 million from $687.1 million reported in the prior-year quarter. The improvement reflected higher-order volumes and a 2.2% increase in food basket pricing. Our estimate for the metric was $749.9 million.
In the second quarter, U.S. franchise royalties and fees rose to $164.2 million compared with $156.3 million reported in the prior-year quarter. Our estimate for the metric was $140.7 million.
International franchise royalties and fees advanced to $81.8 million from $77.2 million, supported by net store growth and a $1.1 million favorable foreign currency impact. Our estimate for the metric was $82.8 million.
U.S. franchise advertising revenues increased to $134.9 million from $132.2 million. Our estimate for the metric was $119.1 million.
Domino's Q2 Comparable Sales Show Uneven Demand
Global retail sales increased 3% year over year, excluding foreign currency movements. U.S. retail sales rose 1.9%, while international retail sales increased 4.1% on a constant-currency basis.
Comparable sales trends were more subdued. U.S. same-store sales edged up 0.1% compared with 3.4% growth a year earlier. Company-owned store comps increased 2.1% year over year, while franchise store comps were flat. International same-store sales declined 0.1% against a 2.4% increase reported in the prior-year quarter.
Domino's Q2 Margin Performance Remains Mixed
In the second quarter, Gross margin dollars came in at $478.2 million compared with $461 million reported in the prior-year quarter. However, gross margin as a percentage of revenues contracted 30 basis points year over year to 40%. Our estimate for the metric was 39%.
Supply chain gross margin expanded 20 basis points year over year to 12%, aided by procurement productivity. The benefit was partly offset by higher food basket costs. General and administrative expenses came in at $115.4 million compared with $107.6 million reported in the prior-year quarter.
DPZ Posts Higher Operating Income and Net Profit
In the second quarter, income from operations increased 3.1% year over year to $232 million. Excluding the favorable currency impact on international franchise royalties, operating income rose 2.6%, driven by franchise royalty growth and higher supply chain gross profit. Our estimate for the metric was $242.1 million.
Net income advanced 3.6% year over year to $135.8 million. Results also benefited from a favorable $3.6 million change in pre-tax unrealized and realized losses tied to the company’s investment in DPC Dash.
DPZ Extends Its Global Store Expansion
Domino’s posted global net store growth of 209 during the quarter. The company added 26 net stores in the United States and 183 internationally, bringing its worldwide store count to 22,531.
The U.S. system ended the period with 7,231 locations, while the international network reached 15,300 stores. Over the trailing four quarters, net store growth totaled 995, including 170 domestic and 825 international additions.
Domino's Cash Flow Moderates in the First Half
Net cash provided by operating activities totaled $352.6 million during the first two quarters of 2026, down from $366.9 million in the comparable 2025 period. Capital expenditures increased to $39 million from $35.2 million reported in the prior-year period.
Free cash flow declined 5.5% year over year to $313.6 million. The decrease reflected changes in operating assets and liabilities, along with the timing and amount of advertising-related payments. Cash and cash equivalents stood at $164.8 million as of June 14, 2026.
DPZ Returns Capital While Lowering Leverage
Domino’s repurchased 443,917 shares for $156.2 million during the quarter. The company had $1.23 billion remaining under its share repurchase authorization at quarter-end.
The leverage ratio improved to 4.3 times from 4.7 times a year earlier. Following the quarter, the board declared a quarterly dividend of $1.99 per share, payable Sept. 30, 2026, to its shareholders of record as of Sept. 15.

FIGS' Higher Net Revenues Per Active Customer Shows Strong Engagement

The central question for investors is not whether FIGS, Inc. FIGS is improving. It is whether the stock already reflects too much of that improvement.
A strong revenue quarter, a raised sales outlook, and expanding customer metrics support the bullish case. A richer earnings multiple and visible cost pressure make the answer less straightforward.
FIGS Bulls Can Point to Better Guidance
FIGS raised its fiscal 2026 revenue growth outlook to 14%-16%, up from its prior view of 10%-12%. That followed first-quarter fiscal 2026 revenues of $159.9 million, up 28% year over year.
Active customers surpassed 3 million for the first time, while average order value rose 4.2% to $124. Those metrics point to customer acquisition and better spending per order.
The niche remains attractive because healthcare apparel is replenishment-driven and tied to a resilient workforce. Investors comparing FIGS with brand-led apparel names such as NIKE, Inc. NKE and lululemon athletica inc. LULU may focus on whether brand strength can support repeat demand without sacrificing profitability.
FIGS also has flexibility. The company ended the quarter with $277 million in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments, remained debt-free, and repurchased $8.8 million of shares.

FIGS Bears Will Focus on Margin Pressure
The cautious case starts with gross margin. FIGS reported a 67.7% gross margin in the first quarter, up only 10 basis points year over year despite the revenue gain.
Tariffs, inbound freight pressure from higher oil prices and a pause in the duty drawback program remain headwinds. Management expects gross margin to decline modestly year over year in the second quarter and more meaningfully in the third quarter before improving in the fourth quarter.
Marketing also limits operating leverage. Marketing expense rose to $29.5 million in the first quarter, or 18.4% of revenues, compared with 14.5% a year earlier.
That spending supported brand campaigns and partnerships, but earnings may not scale as quickly as revenues if sales growth slows from the first-quarter pace.
FIGS Valuation Leaves Less Room for Error
Valuation is the biggest constraint on a clean buy case. FIGS trades at 39.96X forward 12-month earnings per share.
That multiple is above 15.11X for the Zacks sub-industry, 22.53X for the broader Zacks sector, and 20.9X for the S&P 500. A premium can be justified when growth is durable, but it leaves little room for weaker margins or a sharper second-half slowdown.
The stock is up 96.1% over the past year, even after declining 25% over the past three months. That rally raises the hurdle for new buyers.
At this level, investors need confidence that product innovation, international expansion, Community Hubs and TEAMS can keep revenue growth broad-based.

FIGS Cash Flow Adds a Note of Caution
Cash flow complicates the growth story. Operating cash flow was an outflow of $3.2 million in the first quarter, compared with positive operating cash flow of $9.2 million a year earlier.
Working capital was the main drag. Inventory build supported spring color drops, the Nurses Week cadence and international scaling.
That does not invalidate the growth strategy. It does mean investors should watch whether FIGS converts higher sales into cash more efficiently.
Management expects working capital consumption to ease, helped by faster replenishment cycles, tighter buys and supplier lead-time gains. Until that shows up consistently, cash conversion remains a useful check on the valuation.
FIGS Ratings Back a Wait-and-See Stance
The bottom line is that FIGS looks fundamentally better, but not clearly cheap. Revenue momentum, customer gains and a debt-free balance sheet support interest, while cost pressure, negative operating cash flow and a premium multiple argue for patience.

FIGS and Gildan are both apparel manufacturers, but they produce clothing for different purposes. FIGS focuses on premium healthcare apparel, such as scrubs. While there is no shortage of demand for these items, this focus means the company is dependent upon one brand and niche. It also relies on just one fulfillment center, and its merchandise is made mainly in Vietnam and Jordan. This type of concentration makes it vulnerable to disruptions in the supply chain.
Also, although it has delivered impressive growth and is expanding its customer base in both the U.S. and internationally, it trades at a premium valuation. That means investors who buy in now risk disappointment if the brand fails to perform as expected.

The popular purveyor of medical and surgical scrubs and other apparel took a huge tumble on Friday, crashing 29.4% through 10:40 a.m. ET despite beating analyst forecasts for both sales and earnings last night.

Heading into its Q1 report, analysts forecast Figs to earn $0.01 per share on $152.5 million in sales. Figs actually earned $0.03 per share and reported sales of $159.9 million.

So good news, right? Investors should be happy? Except they aren't -- and guidance seems to be the reason.
In Q1, Figs grew sales a strong 28%, with scrubwear sales up 27% and non-scrubwear up an even better 31%. Figs improved its gross profit margin (albeit only by 0.1%). It grew operating costs slower than sales (up only 23%). Figs even flipped from a small net loss a year ago, to $0.03 in profits this time -- an earnings growth rate of infinity!
But when it came time to give guidance, the most Figs would promise for 2026 was sales growth of 14% to 16%.
Is this good or bad for Figs?
I get why investors are spooked. Figs grew 28% in Q1, but promised barely half that growth over the course of the rest of the year -- but here's the thing:
Wall Street is only expecting Figs to grow its sales by 12% this year. Investors may be upset that 14% is less than 28%, sure. But it's also comfortably ahead of 12%, and that means Figs just promised to beat earnings this year.
That sounds like good news to me. If it were a lot cheaper than its current 73.5 price-to-earnings ratio, I might even buy Figs stock.
