Asceniv is indicated for the treatment of PIDD or inborn errors of immunity in adults and adolescents. It is manufactured using ADMA’s unique, patented plasma donor screening methodology and tailored plasma pooling design, which blends normal source plasma with respiratory syncytial virus plasma obtained from donors tested using the company’s proprietary microneutralization assay.
Demand was record high in the first quarter. Consequently, ADMA expects Asceniv’s total revenue share to expand throughout 2025 and beyond.
ADMA anticipates accelerating new patient starts and further penetration in existing institutions, which would significantly expand its peak revenue potential driven by ramp up of long-term high-titer plasma supply contracts and continued benefit in real-world patient outcomes.
ADMA’s Progress With Another Candidate
ADMA expects to generate initial, proof-of-concept animal data before 2025-end for its lead R&D pipeline program, SG-001, a hyperimmune globulin targeting S. pneumonia.

Along with providing first-quarter results, ADMA updated its outlook for 2025 and 2026. ADMA now expects to generate revenues of more than $500 million in 2025 and $625 million in 2026 (previous guidance: more than $490 million in 2025 and $605 million in 2026). Net income is projected to exceed $175 million in 20225 (same as before) and expected to increase to $245 million or more for 2026 (previous guidance: exceed $235 million in 2026).

AC Immune’s Innovative Pipeline
AC Immune is utilizing its dual proprietary technology platforms, SupraAntigen and Morphomer, to develop drugs spanning multiple treatment modalities and targeting both established and emerging neurodegenerative pathologies. At present, ACIU is advancing therapeutic and diagnostic programs targeting five different types of misfolded pathological proteins related to Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD) and other neurodegenerative disorders.
ACI-24.060 is AC Immune’s anti-Abeta active immunotherapy being evaluated in patients with AD and in subjects with Down Syndrome (DS). ACI24.060 is currently being tested at three different incremental doses in the phase Ib/II ABATE study (NCT05462106), and amyloid plaque reduction is being assessed using Abeta-PET imaging. The candidate has been granted Fast Track designation for the treatment of AD in the United States.
ACI-7104.056, an active immunotherapy targeting pathological a-syn, is currently being tested in the phase II study (VacSYn) in the EU and the UK.
ACI-35.030/JNJ-2056 is being evaluated in subjects with preclinical (i.e., pre-symptomatic) AD in the phase IIb study ReTain.
Apart from these, the pipeline includes P2620, a Tau-PET imaging agent discovered in collaboration with Life Molecular Imaging (late-stage clinical development in AD), ACI-15196 for PD (a phase I study will be initiated shortly), and others.
The market for neurodegenerative diseases like AD and PD is expected to grow significantly.
Collaborations Provide Funding to ACIU
ACIU has entered into strategic collaborations with pharma giants to advance its pipeline. In 2024, AC Immune entered into an exclusive option and license agreement with Takeda TAK for its active immunotherapies targeting Abeta, including ACI-24.060 for AD. AC Immune received an upfront payment of $100 million and is eligible to receive total potential payments of up to approximately $2.1 billion.
ACIU has collaborated with Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., part of Johnson & Johnson JNJ, for ACI-35.030/JNJ-2056. In September 2024, the company received a milestone payment triggered by the rapid rate of prescreening in the potentially registrational phase IIb ReTain trial and the first patient was dosed in the second half of 2024. JNJ received Fast Track designation for JNJ-2056 from the FDA for AD in July 2024.
ACIU’s Cash Balance
ACIU owned cash resources of CHF 165.5 million as of Dec. 31, 2024. Management expects its cash balance to provide sufficient capital resources through the first quarter of 2027, assuming no other milestones are met.
ACIU Valuation and Estimates
Going by the price/sales ratio, ACIU’s shares are currently trading at a premium. The stock is currently trading at 6.15x forward sales, higher than its mean of 5.30x and the industry’s 1.70x.

ACIU Stock Crashes 18.3% in a Month: Buy, Sell or Hold?

(RTTNews) - Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. (TKPHF.PK, TAK) announced on Monday that the European Medicines Agency or EMA has approved an additional 2 mL pre-filled pen option for Takhzyro or Lanadelumab. This approval is for the subcutaneous administration in adolescents, aged 12 years and above, and adult patients with recurrent hereditary Angioedema.
The company said that at present, Takhzyro is approved as 150 mg solution for injection in pre-filled syringe, 300 mg solution for injection in pre-filled syringe, and 300 mg solution for injection in vial. This latest approval for an additional subcutaneous administration option, i.e, the Takhzyro 300 mg solution for injection in pre-filled pen, containing 300 mg of Lanadelumab in 2 mL of solution, has been supported with clinical studies.

Takeda Gets EMA Approval For Addl. Subcutaneous Administration Of Takhzyro In HAE Patients Aged 12+

(RTTNews) - Takeda (TAK) announced that the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has approved the use of HYQVIA 10% Subcutaneous injection set in patients with agammaglobulinemia or hypogammaglobulinemia. HYQVIA is the first plasma-derived therapy for subcutaneous injection in Japan that consists of a combination of one vial of Immunoglobulin 10% and one vial of Recombinant Human Hyaluronidase PH20.
"We are delighted that HYQVIA, approved in more than 40 countries worldwide, has now been approved in Japan," said Naoyoshi Hirota, Regional Head of Research & Development for Takeda's Plasma-Derived Therapies Business Unit in Japan.

Takeda Reports Approval Of HYQVIA Injection Set In Japan - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA) announced that it will divest Teva-Takeda, its business venture in Japan, to JKI Co., Ltd. The divestment, which includes generics and legacy products, will allow Teva to focus on bringing its innovative medicines to the Japanese market.
As per the deal, all shares of Teva Takeda Pharma Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary Teva Takeda Yakuhin Ltd. will be transferred to JKI.
Teva expects the divestiture to be completed by April 1, 2025, subject to standard closing conditions, including obtaining required regulatory approvals. All employees of the business venture in Japan will remain employed, subject to the terms of the agreement.

Teva Pharma To Divest Teva-Takeda Business Venture In Japan To JKI

(RTTNews) - HUTCHMED (China) Limited (HCM) announced that it will receive a milestone payment following the pricing approval and launch of FRUZAQLA (fruquintinib) 1mg/5mg capsules in Japan by its partner Takeda (TAK) for patients with previously treated metastatic colorectal cancer. This follows approval for the manufacturing and marketing of FRUZAQLA by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
Takeda said in September 2024 that it received approval from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to manufacture and market FRUZAQLA Capsules 1mg/5mg, a selective oral inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) -1, -2 and -3, for the treatment of advanced or recurrent colorectal cancer (CRC) that is neither curable nor resectable and that has progressed after chemotherapy.

HUTCHMED To Receive Milestone Payment As Takeda Launches FRUZAQLA For Colorectal Cancer In Japan

(RTTNews) - Takeda (TKPHF.PK, TAK) reported first half net profit of 187.3 billion yen compared to 41.4 billion yen, last year. Core, non-IFRS, net profit was 489.1 billion yen, up 20.0%. Core, non-IFRS, revenue was 2.38 trillion yen, up 13.4%. Revenue growth was 5.0% at CER.
Fiscal 2024 Management Guidance has been upgraded, primarily due to milder than anticipated generic erosion of VYVANSE and strong business momentum. Core EPS is now projected to be down approximately 10%, revised from prior guidance of a decline of mid-10s%. Core revenue is now projected to be flat to slightly increasing, updated from prior outlook of flat to slightly declining. Core revenue, non-IFRS, is projected to be 4.48 trillion yen, updated from prior guidance of 4.35 trillion yen.
