Its products include Dexcom G6 and Dexcom G7, integrated CGM systems for diabetes management; Dexcom Share, a remote monitoring system; Dexcom Real-Time API, which enables authorized third-party software developers to integrate real-time CGM data into their digital health apps and devices; and Dexcom ONE, that is designed to replace finger stick blood glucose testing for diabetes treatment decisions. It has also submitted FDA review for Dexcom Stelo for people with type 2 diabetes. The company has a collaboration and license agreement with Verily Life Sciences LLC and Verily Ireland Limited to develop blood-based or interstitial glucose monitoring products. It markets its products directly to endocrinologists, physicians, and diabetes educators. The company was incorporated in 1999 and is headquartered in San Diego, California.

NUGO, CTVA, AZO, DXCM: Large Outflows Detected at ETF

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) Tuesday closed down -0.11%, the Dow Jones Industrials Index ($DOWI) (DIA) closed up +0.91%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) closed down -0.89%. September E-mini S&P futures (ESU25) are down -0.12%, and September E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQU25) are down -0.91%.
Stock indexes on Tuesday settled mixed, with the Dow Jones Industrials posting a 4-1/2 month high. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 moved lower Tuesday and consolidated below Monday’s all-time highs. Tesla closed down more than -5% to lead technology stocks lower and weigh on the overall market after President Trump threatened to withdraw subsidies from Elon Musk’s companies in response to Musk’s criticism of the Republican reconciliation bill. The markets are also monitoring progress on trade talks ahead of President Trump’s July 9 deadline, as well as congressional wrangling over the passage of President Trump’s tax and spending bill.

The Senate passed the Republican reconciliation bill on Tuesday by a 51-50 vote. The bill now goes to the House, where it will be voted on sometime this week. Speaker Johnson said the House “will work quickly” to pass the bill by July 4. The reconciliation bill has the debt ceiling hike that is necessary to avert a Treasury default when the Treasury runs out of borrowing authority sometime between mid-August and late September. The dollar index fell to a 3-1/3 year low Tuesday as the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that the bill would add nearly $3.3 trillion to US budget deficits over the next decade.
Stocks remained lower Tuesday after the better-than-expected US ISM and JOLTS reports pushed bond yields higher and dampened expectations of imminent Fed rate cuts. Also, Fed Chair Powell reiterated his wait-and-see stance on interest rates as he expects tariffs to show up in inflation data over the coming months.
The US June ISM manufacturing index rose +0.5 to 49.0, stronger than expectations of 48.8. Also, the June ISM prices paid sub-index rose +0.3 to 69.7, stronger than expectations of 69.5.
US May JOLTS job openings unexpectedly rose +374,000 to a 6-month high of 7.769 million, showing a stronger labor market than expectations of a decline to 7.300 million.
Fed Chair Powell said he expects the impacts of tariffs to show up in inflation data over the coming months, but the impact could be “higher or lower, or later or sooner than we expected.”
Better-than-expected manufacturing news from China is supportive of global economic growth prospects. The China June Caixin manufacturing PMI rose +2.1 to 50.4, stronger than expectations of 49.3.
On the negative side for stocks is the upcoming earnings season, which begins next week. Bloomberg Intelligence data show that the consensus for Q2 earnings of S&P 500 companies is for a rise of +2.8% year-over-year, the smallest increase in two years. Also, only six of the 11 S&P 500 sectors are projected to post an increase in earnings, the fewest since Q1 of 2023, according to Yardeni Research.
During this holiday-shortened week, the markets will look for additional trade and tariff news along with progress in the passage of President Trump’s tax bill. On Wednesday, the June ADP employment change is expected to rise by +90,000. On Thursday, Jun nonfarm payrolls are expected to climb by +113,000, and the June employment rate is expected to tick up +0.1 to 4.3%. Also, June average hourly earnings are expected to rise +0.3% m/m and +3.8% y/y. In addition, weekly initial unemployment claims are expected to climb +5,000 to 241,000, and May factory orders are expected to jump +8.1% m/m. Finally, the Jun ISM services index is expected to climb +0.7 to 50.6.
Federal funds futures prices are discounting the chances at 21% for a -25 bp rate cut at the July 29-30 FOMC meeting.
Overseas stock markets on Tuesday settled mixed. The Euro Stoxx 50 closed down -0.39%. China’s Shanghai Composite closed up +0.39%. Japan’s Nikkei Stock 225 closed down -1.24%.
Interest Rates
September 10-year T-notes (ZNU25) Tuesday closed down by -8.5 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield rose +2.0 bp to 4.248%. Sep T-notes fell from a 2-month high Tuesday and turned lower, and the 10-year T-note yield rebounded from a 2-month low of 4.185% and turned higher.
Speculation that Congress is close to passing President Trump’s tax and spending bill has sparked some weakness in T-note prices. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the bill would add nearly $3.3 trillion to US deficits over the next decade, which would boost Treasury security sales to fund the deficits. Losses in T-notes accelerated Tuesday after the stronger-than-expected ISM and JOLTS reports were hawkish for Fed policy.
T-note prices initially moved higher on Tuesday due to carryover support from strength in European government bonds. T-notes were also boosted as positive trade news has bolstered hopes for smaller-than-expected tariffs, which would soften the inflation outlook.
European government bond yields on Tuesday moved lower. The 10-year German bund yield fell -3.3 bp to 2.574%. The 10-year UK gilt yield dropped to an 8-week low of 4.417% and finished down -3.5 bp to 4.454%.
The Eurozone June CPI edged up to +2.0% y/y from +1.9% y/y in May, right on expectations. The June core CPI was unchanged from May at +2.3% y/y, right on expectations.
The ECB May 1-year CPI inflation expectations unexpectedly eased to +2.8% from +3.1% in Apr, versus expectations of no change at +3.1%. The May 3-year CPI expectations unexpectedly eased to +2.4% from +2.5% in Apr versus expectations of no change at +2.5%.
The Eurozone June manufacturing PMI was revised upward by +0.1 to 49.5 from the previously reported 49.4.
The German June unemployment change rose +11,000, showing a stronger labor market than expectations of +15,000. The Jun unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.3%, showing a stronger labor market than expectations of an increase to 6.4%.
ECB Governing Council member Kazaks said, “If the euro were to significantly appreciate further, it could weigh down on inflation and exports, which could tilt the balance toward another ECB interest rate cut.”
Swaps are discounting the chances at 6% for a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at the July 24 policy meeting.
US Stock Movers
Tesla (TSLA) closed down more than -5% as President Trump threatened to withdraw government subsidies from Elon Musk’s companies after Musk criticized the Republicans’ reconciliation bill. Analysts estimate that changes to regulatory credits could threaten up to 40% of Tesla’s profits.
Weakness in chip stocks is a negative factor for the overall market. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) closed down more than -4%, and Broadcom (AVGO) and ARM Holdings Plc (ARM) closed down more than -3%. Also, Nvidia (NVDA) closed down more than -2% to lead losers in the Dow Jones Industrials. In addition, Marvell Technology (MRVL), Micron Technology (MU), and ASML Holding NV (ASML) closed down more than -1%.
Makers of glucose monitors and insulin pumps retreated Tuesday after the US government proposed a payment scheduling change for diabetes devices as well as a competitive bidding program. As a result, Tandem Diabetes Care (TNDM) closed down more than -7%, and Insulet (PODD) and Dexcom (DXCM) closed down more than -4%.
Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) closed down more than -4% after holder Advance/Newhouse planned to sell as much as $1.1 billion of its holdings in WBD via an overnight unregistered block trade.
AeroVironment (AVAV) closed down more than -11% after announcing plans to sell $750 million worth of shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering and $600 million of aggregate convertible senior notes due 2020.
Dyne Therapeutics (DYN) closed down more than -8% after offering 24.2 million shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering at a price of $8.25 per share, below Monday’s closing price of $9.52.
Sweetgreen Inc (SG) closed down more than -2% after TD Cowen downgraded the stock to hold from buy.
US-listed Macau casino operators rallied Tuesday after Macau’s monthly gaming revenue rose +19% y/y in June, above expectations of a +9.4% y/y gain. As a result, Las Vegas Sands (LVS) closed up more than +8% to lead gainers in the S&P 500. Also, Wynn Resorts Ltd. (WYNN) closed up more than +8% and MGM Resorts International (MGM) closed up more than +7%.
Packaging Corporation of America (PKG) closed up more than +7% after the company acquired Greif Containerboard for $1.8 billion, and Barclays said the purchase will increase PKG’s capacity to 6.0 MMT, holding its place as the third-largest containerboard maker in the US.
Ryder System (R) closed up more than +6% after Wolfe Research upgraded the stock to outperform from peer perform with a price target of $183.
Hasbro (HAS) closed up more than +4% after Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock to buy from neutral with a price target of $85.
Nike (NKE) closed up more than +3% after Argus Research upgraded the stock to buy from hold with a price target of $85.
CH Robinson Worldwide (CHRW) closed up more than +2% after Wolfe Research upgraded the stock to outperform from peer perform with a price target of $112.
Trade Desk (TTD) closed up more than +2% after Citibank raised its price target on the stock to $90 from $82.

Stocks rallied on Tuesday despite some negative economic news and hawkish Fed commentary. The Conference Board's June US consumer confidence index unexpectedly declined, and Fed Chair Powell, New York Fed President Williams, and Atlanta Fed President Bostic said they favored keeping interest rates on hold.
The US Apr S&P CoreLogic composite-20 home price index rose +3.42% y/y, weaker than expectations of +3.90% and the smallest increase in 1-3/4 years.
The Conference Board's June US consumer confidence index unexpectedly fell -5.4 to 93.0, weaker than expectations of an increase to 99.8.
The US June Richmond Fed manufacturing conditions survey unexpectedly rose +2 to -7, stronger than expectations of a decline to -10.
Fed Chair Powell said, "The effects of tariffs will depend, among other things, on their ultimate level, and for the time being, we are well-positioned to wait to learn more about the likely course of the economy before considering any adjustments to our policy stance."
New York Fed President Williams said it's "entirely appropriate" for the Fed to hold interest rates steady while they analyze the full impact of policy changes on the job market and inflation.
Atlanta Fed President Bostic said the Fed doesn't need to cut interest rates, with companies planning to raise prices later this year in response to higher import taxes and with the job market still stable.
The markets this week will look to see if the ceasefire between Israel and Iran holds. Also, any new tariff news or trade deals will be scrutinized. On Wednesday, Mr. Powell will testify before the Senate Banking Committee on monetary policy. Also, on Wednesday, US Mar new home sales are expected to fall -6.7% m/m to 693,000. On Thursday, Q1 GDP is expected to be unrevised at -0.2% (q/q annualized). Also, weekly initial unemployment claims are expected to be unchanged at 245,000. Friday brings May personal spending (expected +0.1% m/m) and May personal income (expected +0.3% m/m). Also, the May core PCE price index, the Fed's preferred price gauge, is expected to rise by +0.1% m/m and +2.6% y/y. Finally, the revised June University of Michigan US consumer sentiment index is expected to fall -0.2 to 60.3.
The markets are discounting the chances at 19% for a -25 bp rate cut at the July 29-30 FOMC meeting.
Overseas stock markets on Tuesday settled sharply higher. The Euro Stoxx 50 climbed to a 1-week high and closed up +1.44%. China's Shanghai Composite rose to a 3-month high and closed up +1.15%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 rallied to a 4-month high and closed up +1.14%.

September 10-year T-notes (ZNU25) Tuesday closed up +6.5 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield fell -5.3 bp to 4.295%. Sep T-notes climbed toa 1-1/2 month high Tuesday, and the 10-year T-note yield fell to a 1-1/2 month low of 4.283%. T-notes recovered from early losses Tuesday and moved higher after a -6% plunge in WTI crude oil knocked inflation expectations lower and sparked short covering in T-notes. The 10-year breakeven inflation rate fell to a 1-week low of 2.286%. Additionally, an unexpected decline in the Conference Board's US June consumer confidence index was bullish for T-notes. T-notes added to their gains on comments from Fed Chair Powell, who said potential changes to the enhanced supplementary leverage ratio should encourage banks to hold more Treasuries.
T-notes initially moved lower on Tuesday as the announcement of a tentative ceasefire between Israel and Iran sparked a sharp rally in global equity markets, reducing safe-haven demand for T-notes. T-note prices were also undercut by hawkish comments from Fed Chair Powell, who signaled he is in no rush to cut interest rates. Tuesday's $69 billion Treasury auction of 2-year T-notes was met with subpar demand and was negative for T-note prices as the auction had a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.58, below the 10-auction average of 2.62.
European government bond yields on Tuesday were mixed. The 10-year German bund yield rose to a 1-week high of 2.573% and finished up +3.6 bp to 2.543%. The 10-year UK gilt yield fell to a 1-1/2 month low of 4.447% and finished down -2.0 bp to 4.473%.
The German Jun IFO business climate index rose +0.9 to a 13-month high of 88.4, stronger than expectations of 88.0.
ECB Governing Council member Villeroy de Galhau said. "If we look at the present assessment of markets so far, inflation expectations remain moderate. If that was confirmed, it could possibly lead in the next six months to further accommodation."
Swaps are discounting the chances at 8% for a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at the July 24 policy meeting.
US Stock Movers
Chipmakers rallied on Tuesday to lift the broader market. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Intel (INTC) closed up more than +6%, and Marvell Technology (MRVL) closed up more than +5%. Also, Micron Technology (MU), Applied Materials (AMAT), and Lam Research (LRCX) closed up more than +4%. In addition, NXP Semiconductors NV (NXPI), KLA Corp (KLAC), and Broadcom (AVGO) closed up more than +3%, and GlobalFoundries (GFS) and Microchip Technology (MCHP) closed up more than +2%.
Airline stocks and cruise line operators moved higher Tuesday after crude prices plunged more than -6% to a 1-1/2 week low on the announcement of a ceasefire in the Israel-Iran conflict. Carnival (CCL) closed up more than +6%, and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) closed up more than +4%. Also, American Airlines Group (AAL) and Alaska Air Group (ALK) closed up more than +3%, and Delta Airlines (DAL) and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (RCL) closed up more than 2%.
Dexcom (DXCM) closed up more than +9% to lead gainers in the Nasdaq 100 after Health and Human Service Secretary Kennedy said his department is launching "one of the largest HHS campaigns in history" to encourage the use of wearable health devices.
Upstart Holdings (UPST) closed up more than +8% after Piper Sandler assumed coverage of the stock with a recommendation of overweight and a price target of $75.
Uber Technologies (UBER) closed up more than +7% after beginning its driverless ride service in Atlanta.
Lyft (LYFT) closed up more than +5% after TD Cowen upgraded the stock to buy from hold with a price target of $21.
Mastercard (MA) closed up more than +2% after deepening its partnership with Fiserv to integrate its new FIUSD token across a range of Mastercard products and services.
Energy producers and energy service providers sold off on Tuesday after WTI crude oil sank by more than -6%. Occidental Petroleum (OXY) and Exxon Mobil (XOM) closed down more than -3%. Also, Chevron (CVX) closed down more than -2% to lead losers in the Dow Jones Industrials. In addition, ConocoPhillips (COP) and Hess Corp (HESS) closed down more than -2%. Finally, Devon Energy (DVN), Diamondback Energy (FANG), and Phillips 66 (PSX) closed down more than -1%.
Defense contractors retreated Tuesday with the announcement of a ceasefire in the Israel-Iran war. Northrop Grumman (NOC) closed down more than -3%. Also, RTX Corp (RTX), Lockheed Martin (LMT), Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII), and L3Harris Technologies (LHX) closed down more than -1%. In addition, General Dynamics (GD) closed down -0.45%.
Precious metals mining stocks were under pressure Tuesday, with the price of COMEX gold falling to a 2-week low. Anglogold Ashanti Plc (AU) closed down more than -4% and Gold Fields Ltd (GFI) closed down more than -3%. Also, Newmont (NEM) closed down more than -2%.
Advanced Auto Parts (AAP) closed down more than -7% to lead auto parts retailers lower after Goldman Sachs downgraded the stock to sell from neutral with a price target of $46. Also, AutoZone (AZO) closed down more than -3% to lead losers in the S&P 500, and O'Reilly Automotive (ORLY) closed down more than -2%.
Dollar General (DG) closed down more than -1% after Goldman Sachs downgraded the stock to neutral from buy.

DexCom DXCM delivered robust first-quarter 2025 results, underpinned by strong category demand, record new patient growth and meaningful progress in its long-term strategic initiatives. As the year progresses, several key growth drivers are set to propel the business forward, even as the company faces operational and regulatory headwinds. Physician prescribing patterns are shifting in tandem with these policy changes, setting the stage for accelerating patient adoption in the back half of the year.
Simultaneously, Dexcom’s over-the-counter CGM, Stelo, is helping capture a broader audience, including patients with prediabetes and those interested in wellness and metabolic health. The company has rolled out app enhancements, launched on Amazon, and observed a rising subscription trend among early adopters. While still in early stages, Stelo adds a consumer-facing channel that complements the prescription-based G7 ecosystem.

Innovation and Commercial Execution
The upcoming launch of the 15-Day G7 system marks a technological leap for Dexcom. With improved accuracy (MARD of 8.0%) and extended wear time, the device is expected to bolster gross margins and deepen product differentiation. Integration efforts with insulin pump partners and payer contracting are already underway to ensure a seamless rollout in the second half of 2025.
Additionally, Dexcom continues to benefit from operational leverage. Following a major sales force expansion in 2024, the company is now optimizing reach and productivity, especially in the basal and primary care segments. Internationally, momentum is building in markets like France and Japan, aided by Dexcom ONE’s growing presence and type 2 coverage wins.
Dexcom’s $2.7 billion cash position and the announcement of a $750 million share buyback reflect strong balance sheet health and confidence in long-term cash flow generation. Despite inflation and logistics cost headwinds, the company reaffirmed its full-year revenue and EBITDA margin guidance, highlighting effective cost control and prioritization.

The consensus mark for the company’s second-quarter revenues is pegged at $1.12 billion, indicating an 11.8% improvement from the year-ago quarter’s reported number. The consensus estimate for earnings is pinned at 45 cents per share, implying an improvement of 4.7% year over year.

Navigating Near-Term Challenges
However, Dexcom is not without headwinds. Gross margin guidance for fiscal 2025 was revised down to nearly 62%, primarily due to supply-chain disruptions that began in late 2024. To maintain customer continuity, Dexcom resorted to costly chartered flights and now faces a prolonged inventory rebuild. These freight-related expenses, combined with nearly 50 bps of inflation from raw material tariffs and FX volatility, are expected to weigh on profitability through the third quarter.
Separately, Dexcom is addressing a warning letter from the FDA tied to 2024 inspections. While it does not restrict product approvals or sales, it demands ongoing resource allocation and operational focus. The company is cooperating with the agency and has begun implementing corrective measures.
Lastly, while Dexcom is advocating Medicare coverage for non-insulin T2D users, progress hinges on a randomized controlled trial set to report results in late 2025 or early 2026. A favorable outcome could unlock another major addressable market.

CGM Competition on the Rise
While Dexcom leads in sensor accuracy and access, its three listed rivals — Abbott Laboratories ABT, Medtronic MDT and Senseonics SENS — are rapidly innovating, creating a more competitive and segmented CGM market landscape in 2025 and beyond.
Abbott Laboratories continues to expand its CGM footprint with its FreeStyle Libre family and the recent launch of Libre Rio, an FDA-cleared OTC device targeting insulin-free Type 2 diabetes patients. Abbott Laboratories’ broad portfolio and consumer wellness push with Lingo directly challenge Dexcom’s Stelo strategy, especially in the growing OTC and metabolic health market.
Medtronic, while spinning off its diabetes unit, remains a strong force through its MiniMed 780G system. Its integration of CGM with insulin pumps competes directly with Dexcom’s G7-enabled automated delivery partnerships. Senseonics, although smaller in scale, presents a differentiated offering with its implantable Eversense CGM. Insider Sale: Director at $DXCM Sells 2,618 Shares

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) Friday closed down -0.01%, the Dow Jones Industrials Index ($DOWI) (DIA) closed up +0.13%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) closed down -0.11%. June E-mini S&P futures (ESM25) are down -0.10%, and June E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQM25) are down -0.16%.
Stock indexes on Friday settled mixed. Stocks saw early pressure Friday as concern about US trade policy weighs on market sentiment. Late Thursday, US Treasury Secretary Bessent said that trade talks with China were "a bit stalled" and that a call between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping may be needed to reach a deal. Stocks sank to their lows Friday when President Trump accused China of violating an agreement with the US to ease tariffs. US Trade Representative Greer said that China is "slow-walking" approvals for export licenses for rare-earth materials and is in noncompliance with the agreement both countries made earlier this month.

However, stock indexes recovered from early losses and traded mixed as short covering emerged Friday afternoon on hopes that trade tensions will ease with China after President Trump expressed confidence that the matter can be resolved when he said he'll "speak to President Xi and hopefully work it out." Also, Friday's decline in the 10-year T-note yield to a 3-week low was supportive for stocks.
US economic news on Friday was mainly supportive for stocks as Apr personal spending rose as expected and Apr personal income rose more than expected. Also, the Apr core PCE price index, the Fed's preferred inflation gauge, eased to its lowest level in more than 4 years, a dovish factor for Fed policy. In addition, US consumer sentiment was revised higher, and inflation expectations were revised lower.
US Apr personal spending rose +0.2% m/m, right on expectations. Apr personal income rose +0.8% m/m, stronger than expectations of +0.3% m/m and the biggest increase in 15 months.
The US Apr core PCE price index, the Fed's preferred inflation gauge, rose +0.1% m/m and +2.5% y/y, right on expectations. The +2.5% y/y report was the smallest year-on-year advance in more than 4 years.
The US May Chicago PMI unexpectedly fell -4.1 to 40.5, weaker than expectations of an increase to 45.0.
The University of Michigan US May consumer sentiment index was revised upward by +1.4 to 52.2, stronger than expectations of 51.5.
The University of Michigan US May 1-year inflation expectations indicator was revised lower to +6.6% from the previously reported +7.3%, weaker than expectations of +7.1%. Also, the May 5-10 year inflation expectations indicator was revised lower to +4.2%, weaker than expectations of no change at +4.6%.
Comments on Thursday evening from Dallas Fed President Logan signaled the Fed could keep interest rates unchanged in the medium term when she said it might be "quite some time" before Fed officials know how the economy will respond to tariffs and other policy changes and the Fed adjusts interest rates.
The markets are discounting the chances at 5% for a -25 bp rate cut at the next FOMC meeting on June 17-18.
Q1 earnings reporting season is winding down. So far, more than 90% of companies in the S&P 500 have reported quarterly results, and 77% have beaten estimates, the highest percentage since Q2 of 2024. Earnings growth in Q1 is running at +13.1%, compared with just +6.6% expected before the start of the season. Full-year 2025 corporate profits for the S&P 500 are seen rising +9.4%, down from the forecast of +12.5% in early January.
Overseas stock markets on Friday settled lower. The Euro Stoxx 50 closed down -0.08%. China's Shanghai Composite closed down -0.47%. Japan's Nikkei Stock 225 closed down -1.22%.
Interest Rates
June 10-year T-notes (ZNM25) Friday closed up +2.5 ticks. The 10-year T-note yield fell -0.8 bp to 4.420%. June T-notes on Friday climbed to a 3-week high and posted modest gains, and the 10-year T-note fell to a 3-week low of 4.385%. T-notes on Friday recovered from early losses and moved higher on the increase in safe-haven demand for government debt after US-China trade tensions escalated when President Trump accused China of violating the tariff agreement with the US. T-notes also have support after the US Apr core PCE price index, the Fed's preferred inflation gauge, posted its smallest year-on-year advance in more than four years, and after inflation expectations were revised lower, dovish factors for Fed policy.
Hawkish comments from Dallas Fed President Logan undercut T-note prices when she said it may be "quite some time" before the Fed adjusts interest rates. Also, concerns about rising wage pressures weighed on T-notes after Friday's news that US Apr personal income posted its largest increase in 15 months.
European government bond yields on Friday moved lower. The 10-year German bund yield fell to a 3-week low of 2.497% and finished down -0.8 bp at 2.500%. The 10-year UK gilt yield fell -0.2 bp to 4.647%.
Eurozone Apr M3 money supply rose +3.9% y/y, stronger than expectations of +3.7% y/y.
German Apr retail sales unexpectedly fell -1.1% m/m, weaker than expectations of a +0.2% m/m increase and the biggest decline in more than 1-1/2 years.
German May CPI (EU harmonized) rose +0.2% n/n and +2.1% y/y, stronger than expectations of +0.1% m/m and +2.0% y/y.
Swaps are discounting the chances at 98% for a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at the June 5 policy meeting.
US Stock Movers
Ulta Beauty (ULTA) closed up more than +11% to lead gainers in the S&P 500 after reporting Q1 EPS of $6.70, well above the consensus of $5.80 and raised its 2026 EPS forecast to $22.65-$23.20 from a previous estimate of $22.50-$22.90, stronger than the consensus of $22.95.
Zscaler (ZS) closed up more than +9% to lead gainers in the Nasdaq 100 after reporting Q3 revenue of $678.0 million, better than the consensus of $666.3 million, and raising its full-year revenue forecast to $2.66 billion from a previous forecast of $2.64 billion-$2.65 billion, above the consensus of $2.65 billion.
Palantir Technologies (PLTR) closed up more than +7 after the New York Times reported that President Trump is expanding the use of the company's technology platform to the IRS, HHS, and DHS.
Unity Software (U) closed up more than +9% after Jeffries upgraded the stock to buy from hold with a price target of $29.
Costco Wholesale (COST) closed up more than +3% after reporting Q3 EPS of $4.28, better than the consensus of $4.24.
